After burning our feet off to get to this location we sat at a nearby seat to brush the sand off and get our shoes back on. Once we had that sorted we made the quick find here. Not only are our feet feeling burnt so is our exposed skin! Getting our tan on in November isnt a bad thing! TFTC
Mr KBclan took today off work so we could have a 'date' day while kids were at school. We headed out to piha for lunch and some catching. What a perfect day it was, sun shining, wind was low. Spring is in the air. Found little lion! Made us chuckle! Actually a fun view point I've never been up. TFTC
Found - Mrs McMike2012 & I live full-time in our caravan travelling around NZ, visiting the places we want to visit & doing the things we want to do and fitting in a bit of Geocaching here & there currently staying in South Auckland for a few days decided wed go for a drive out to Piha so that we could cross it off our NZ scratchie-map, complete some Ad Labs & grab some Caches pleased to add a 'smiley face' to the tally TFTC ... TN:LN:LS #5,563 for Us!
First Cache in Nee Zealand! Yeay! Thanks for the cache, nice view!Greetings from Germany
With a clear day in the calendar, a plan was hatched to round up some friends and head out to Piha for an adventure. Anytime the Team SEAC crew are together its always an adventure. You can't predict what might happen but always know its going to be a good time. After the recent documentary about the people that have vanished in the area there was a bit of talk about that along the way but who knows what actually happened!! It started out pretty cold but soon warmed up and we enjoyed that pure wild west coast scenery.Nice quick find here. Thanks for the cache.
Today a few of the team SEAC crew decided to spend the day at Piha. For some of our crew it was their first time at Piha and Piha put on quite a wild show after yesterdays squally storms blew through. Luckily today was calmer and sunny. We cached into Piha, enjoying the caches along Piha road, including finding a lonely cache that hadnt been found for a while. A picnic lunch was also had in some shade and then home again for a well deserved wine!Keylev darted into the undergrowth and made a quick find before the rest of us had even collected our thoughts! it was starting to get warm and talk of lunch soon made us all walk a little faster and find a little quicker! TFTC!
A message went out a couple of days ago to the Team SEAC crew asking who was keen on a day caching at Piha. We decided to join the fun, and as per usual with a SEAC outing there were many laughs along the way. Out today was Keylev, NZIceman, Cragger, NZT and HeMaLuDy. This was our first visit out this way and the coastline did not disappoint. Keylev had the cache in hand before the rest of us even got near enough to search. Never been to Piha before. Loving finding all the caches and being brought to all the landmarks around here.
### New Zealand 2024 ###On our 1 week tour North New Zealand tour we visited many caches in Auckland, Habbiton, Taupo, Huka Falls, Piha, Devonport and Mount Eden.We had a lot of great experiences along the way and had a lot of fun searching for the caches. Thanks to all the owners for the great caches Team sissifalke
On our long term trip from Germany to Western Australia / Tasmania / New Zealand for about 3,5 month, we arrived New Zealand and picked up some caches. We went to Piha, where we had 5 overnights during Christmas. TFTC
Beautiful day out at Piha! Found this while enjoying time with family. TFTC JOH/T/N

Awesome find! Managed to drop our traceable geocoin and pick up some to transport !
I headed to Piha today to take in the views and admire the beach.
Unfortunately due to the recent devastation, the track up Lion Rock is closed.
It was quite a shock to see the state of the buildings.
The cache was quickly found

We brought my niece from France here to show her Piha beach and of course we had to look for a cache. Found and replaced a bit wet but thankfully RITR paper. Thanks for the placement.
Our second day in Piha. To drive away the jet lag, a nice walk on the beach. A few cans searched and found. Thank you very much for that!! Greetings from Germany.
I went today with Lumin298 out to Piha mainly to do a Multi as I need it for a potential challenge in Christchurch and the AdLab there plus others caches that we both wanted.
This is one of those that were in (on?) the way to achieving the above. Had to try a couple of others first.
Cheers for the cache.

Even with the good hint, there were still a few places we needed to check before coming up with the cache. Since most of the caches today were micros, it was a nice change here to find one that was a bit bigger
Thank you for placing it! (#1540)

Mr and Mrs KC had already found this cache so Mr TW and I stopped off to make the find. Busy little spot for dog walkers but we managed to make the find discreetly. Quite wet inside the container but the log was fine. Many thanks for another cache placement in this beautiful place,
Liked the hiding spot for this one, however the cache was sitting out in the open as such. A little damp inside, have re-hidden as per hint. Signed SXB
A other DNF for me whilst camping nearby - wasn’t easy looking as quite a few passer-bys
Quite easy find.
I have lived in piha for 3 years and never come across this spot. Definitely good place to chill and read book or something.

Really fun one to find especially for the kids, my children had heaps of fun finding this one thank you
Decided to visit Piha this afternoon it was ages since we last came. Managed to spend some time looking for this one. Must remember to read the description in future and then it might of been a much quicker find. Was nice to climb the small rock. Now on to the big one.
A lovely day out for a socially distanced walk along Piha Beach. This was a nice quick find, TFTC!
We're in the Auckland for the week, and today we took our first trip out to Piha. The weather was a bit showery (and it got much worse in the afternoon) and there was brisk breeze coming off the sea. So the place was very quiet - only a couple of dog walkers on the beach. This cache was right next to where we parked; it was a quick grab as we left. TFTC.

Had a free day, so nothing better than going to an amazing place like this, getting some waves and of course finding the caches in the area right? Took my Muggle friend with me and he was the one finding it.

Time for a visit to Piha after a year of lockdowns. Can't believe how much the beach has changed in the years since I was last here. Wonderful to take the time to explore and enjoy this great beach. TFTC
Located this one in between rain showers today.... poor weather does make locating ones in potentially busy locations a lot easier though! Cache in really good condition. Thanks
After the Kitekite waterfalls we was walking to Piha beach it is a wonderfull place. Thanks for the cache and showing the area, Greetings from Germany!
Last day of our Southern Hemisphere Adventure. Traveling from Kalamazoo, Michigan, USA. My daughter decided she wanted to come to Piha, NZ for her last day. It did not disappoint. We hiked quite a bit, checked out some waterfalls, walked the beach, climbed some more rock formations in the water watched surfers, ate lunch and most important watched the sun set on the Taz Sea. It really was the perfect day to wrap up an awesome vacation. TFTC.
A visit to Piha today after reading about the area in a fellow Aussie cachers' holiday blog. So glad i came as it is a beautiful area to visit.
Had to settle for a find at Lionheads' little brother after a DNF at the big one. Still, any find is a good find so thank you G-2 for your cache here. Cheers and greetings from an Aussie on holidays.

On the last day of our N.Z. Holiday it was a mad rush to tick a few last minute boxes. Black sand was what we wanted to see. Another stunning place. So glad we came here. The sand is so fine to touch. Would have loved to have climbed Big Lion rock. Once I search the proper tree the cache was quickly found.
Thanks **G_2**

“New Scotland to New Zealand” Greetings from Nova Scotia, Canada. We are travelling through New Zealand for a month and hope to enjoy many caches. Thanks to all cache owners and to this beautiful country.
I wish I'd taken better notice of my gps and the description. I was with some previous finders who remembered it to originally be much higher. Pazza No2 soon found it on the lower reaches. Tftc
