A nice quick place with room to stop while towing. Cache dry, tftc!

I see there is a replacement cache placed here since my last visit, and I was pleased to be able to get a smiley this trip.

Travelling this way today so I picked up a few of the series and left the rest for another day - basically they were all that I had time for. Thanks for setting them up

We are caching in and around Rotorua today. There was not a lot of traffic today and we had no problems slowing down and pulling into the parking area for another nice easy find. Thanks.

On a road trip today mainly picking up the PWGT caches in the Bay - haven't travelled this road before but it is defintely a good drive. Thanks for the caches in good to pull over areas. Not much cell coverage but found most of them. Was dissappointed with the amount of rubbish in some of the areas. It would be a massive CITO to clean it up.

As the summer months come to an end, and with daylight savings ending for us real soon, it's time for an extended weekend trip to Rotorua (from Wellington). Lots of activities are on the agenda, and geocaching is one of them. I had several specific caches marked to find on this trip, some to meet specific requirements, some were such fun puzzle solves that I just had to come and sign the log, and are some just because. This cache is one of them.

Having a break at Beach so did some geocaching on way there and 4 days later some on way home. Homeward bound. My 2nd DNF. Can't see the other guy found it. He must have had extra terrestrial eyes. Looked for awhile. I see there quite a few DNF.

I can't see how the previous cacher found this because the container is not there.

Heute sollte es nach White Island gehen, doch die Tour viel aus. Leider gefuhren wir das erst, als wir nach 1,5 Stunden Fahrt um 8:30 vor Ort waren. Also gings den ganzen Weg wieder zurück. Auf dem Rückweg konnten wir dann noch diese Dose finden. Danke für den schönen Ausblick.

Der Tag startete früh und wenig erfreulich. 1,5 Stunden gefahren und dann fällt die Tour aus, also den Weg zurück. Und auf dem Rückweg doch den ein oder anderen Cache ersatzweise signiert. Danke an alle Owner.

Today we travelled from Tauranga to Whakatane to enjoy a tour to White Islands. Unfortunatily it got cancelled (again), so after hearing this we had to reset our thought and decided to drive to Rotorua and see some volcanic activities overthere. During this travelling day we made quite some finds. Thanks to all the owners for hiding and maintaining them!

Missed Rotoma B, but pulled in to get this cache. Took No1 geoson about 5 seconds.

On our 34th day in New Zealand we went on from Rotorua to Whakatane. Happy New Year and all the best to all the cache owners! It was a short trip and therefore we had time to enjoy the scenery and search some geocaches. Not all of them were easy because sometimes there was no place to stop or too dangerous to cross the road. But there were so many caches that we were still able to get some.
Next short stop with a find was here. Thanks for placing it.

Heute führte unsere Tour von Rotorua weiter nach Wakatane. Leider war der Verkehr zu Jahresbeginn überraschen stark, sodass wir einige auf dem Weg liegende Büchsen auslösen mussten, um uns und auch andere nicht zu gefährden.

On our trip thru NZ we visit a lot of places and see many spectacular locations.
This cache was one of our stopps thanks a lot to the owner.

Another easy find. Log a bit damp, as no plastic bag like others in series. Have added a bag but did not have time to dry log out. Perhaps the next cacher can let it dry in sunshine for a bit. TFTC.

Today we made a trip from Rotorua to Hicks Bay, thereby visiting many new sightseeing locations and looking for caches, too. On this trip we searched, found and logged a lot of caches. The weather was between bad in the morning and very good in the afternoon, colder in the morning but it got warmer in the afternoon. Funny clouds were our compagnions the whole trip.
Almost no muggels observed us as they had other things to do than observing harmless geocachers.

Thanks to Frewilys for showing us this location and for the fun we had at Rotoma C (Bay of Plenty). The search we had here today didn't take too much time.

Thanks for placing these caches frewilys!
We only stopped for a couple of them as we were towing a trailer on our way home from camping.
This was also a very hot day! All the kids wanted to keep driving so we can go for a swim at Letterbox Island

We left home Friday night headed to Wanganui to visit our daughter then Saturday morning headed to wards Rotorua and grabbing a cache or two along the way. Today we got up early and decided on the route we were going to take starting at 8.05am, no sleep in for me today. Found the cache signed the log and placed it back exactly where we found it. such a nice area to visit thank you for placing a cache here made us visit the area and enjoy the sits and the stunning scenory. TFTC now onto find the next cache we have a total of 4756 caches

Day five of my break and I’m heading to Rotorua, albeit by a long route. Awoke to another fine day, and with the clocks moving forward one hour overnight, it was a slightly later start than normal. Slightly lighter day cache-wise today, as I am concentrating on quality, rather than quantity and I have the virtual, letterbox and earthcache at the mineral springs in Rotorua as my top priority.

Pulled up at the GZ and the cache was quickly in hand. TFTC

Cache number 3446. A long day. After attending the event at 5 am and doing a circuit around Murapara and Te Teko I picked up this one on my way back to town. Another quick park and find. Thankfully not too much traffic on the road today so parking and finding was not an issue. Thank you for the placement.

On the way from Gisborne to Rotorua I also found this cache. It was a verrrry rainy day - but I could sign withous problems.

The coords are right on the mark. The cache is in good condition and the log paper is nice and dry. I took nothing, left nothing, and signed the log paper.
I carefully replaced the cache at the same place.

On a mission today to Kawerau and surrounding areas, then through the lakes to Rotorua and then home to Tauranga.
14 find here. Unfortunately I missed the B in this series, it came up too quickly and I drove past.
Never mind, I enjoy this drive so a return trip is welcome.

On the way home from our last Xmas hoilday trip, and I couldn't just head straight home, so a few quick caches on the way sounded like a great idea. Been wondering when I'd be able to grab this small series as the road is usually fairly busy when I've been heading through, and I haven't really checked out the parking spots, but thought I'd give it a go today if I could safely stop with a trailer on.

No troubles at all with parking or finding the caches, so thanks for the nice placements.

We pepped up our travel day by stopping here and there and doing one or the other small detour.

Cruising through from Whakatane to Rotorua on a Friday afternoon, in between showers found a few caches on the way, was good fun as we havent found any in a while

Plans were made to head to White Island this weekend with Cats&Dragons but weather forecasted some gale warnings and the operator cancelled on us twice. Being already down in Hamilton we decided for Sunday to make a full day out to collect 50 smiles. And that’s what we indeed did. .
Beside the weather warning it turned out to be a great day with a lot of laughter and awesome company. Quick in and out of the car. TFTC
