Hollindale Family Park looks like a really scenic location, and it needs to be added to the list to make a return someday with the family, perhaps recreating the camping experience that the CO has had.In the recent weather, it looks like some water has washed debris down and it is pinned on the bridge side, but no issues with this cache. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks [monkey maker](https://coord.info/PR84CDV) for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.----------Today, the plan was for a walk in Denham Scenic Reserve (Denham Falls, Lip Falls) to host a [Gins Lips Saunter and Swim](https://coord.info/GCAH49F) event at the bottom of the creek/gorge. Despite having visited this area only 1.5 months ago, I had a couple of geocaches that I had trouble finding, and it was a lovely area to visit nevertheless. Despite concerning weather forecasts of rain, it could not have been any better, with dry conditions and the heat starting to set in by the time we finished our hike.It was then a slow and long way home meandering past towns and areas finding geocaches in less-visited areas. Highlights included Lower Beechmont Conservation Area (Freeman's Lookout and the lower elevation area adjacent to Clagiraba Road), Mount Tamborine, and Oxenford. It was interesting to see the widespread tree debris in the vicinity from the "mini-cyclone" / strong winds that impacted the Gold Coast from two weeks ago, and largely cleaned up.
I grabbed this one I. The way back from peace out as it seemed easier. Thanks for the fun monkey maker
Came here to save 4 naked chickens (naked ladies) (anyone interested I can send a link) (Lynnwood Drive) and found this nearby cache.
Had a paddle in the water... Refreshing.

Quick park and grab. Looks like it must have been a magical spot for camping. TFTC
Who would have thought a painted eclipse tin could stand the test of time for 6 years. Rusted but surprisingly dry inside even after the rain today. Had a replacement so in it goes, it seems the temporary cache continues.
The creek was flowing today.

Successful cache for Marc, didn’t look long enough in one area and he found it after I ran away! Had a wonder down the creek and made a little stone pile!
Loved this one in one of our long time favourite spots been coming here for years! Needs new log no new room for names!
Omg hunted high and low for ages and couldn’t find it. My GPS seems to be wildly off today
Tried so hard to find this one but couldn’t. Stuck my hand where no human hand should go with no luck. Next time hopefully.
Out for a drive around the northern end of the GC to get some caches. Had to wait a bit for a local and his horse to finish some practice across the road. TFTC monkey maker
This is a peaceful spot on the back roads here. The sun was shining and the location looked quite idyllic. One car passed after I pulled up, but after that not another soul to be seen. I wandered across and quickly located the container and a friendly wasp nearby watching over it. Quickly in and out without disturbing my flying friend, I was pleased to turn this into a smiley.
Thanks to monkey maker for placing this cache and showing me this spot.

Its really lovely out this way, I've not visited Guanaba before. I think I'd like to live out this way away from the crowds of the Gold Coast.
Lovely to find such a great spot along with a quick find for a change (no trees to be climbed)!

Beautiful winters day to be out enjoying the countryside and away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Such a pleasant drive to get to the GZ location where a quick find was made. Thanks monkey maker and TFTC
Still nice and early after dawn service so a maintenance run was in order.
It wasn't looking good as the ground GZ has been eaten away from flood water but surprisingly it was still there safe and sound.
I took a wander up the creek and around the place, the creek is still looking beauitful.

We had almost reached the end of our errand when this one popped up on the GPS. We decided that we had time for "just one more cache", so stopped. The cache was quickly located and the log signed. TFTC
A quick find with Selva Girls today on the way out to cache in the countryside. Tftc monkey maker
Logging a few weeks later and I can't remember the cache exactly as we were driving along with geokids in tow just grabbing easy ones along the way.
Thanks for hiding and maintaining this cache for us to find.
Thanks monkey maker... (I didn't even realise these were your caches)

Decided to get out and about today and go for a drive around the Mt Tamborine area. Always love caching around here as it gets me away from the rat race suburbian streets of the Gold Coast.
Had a lovely day out driving and picked up a good 18 caches so I was happy
Lovely area and a cache to boot, cant beat that no issues with the find, signed and replaced and onwards with my rural drive I go.
Thanks for the cache monkey maker [^]

Neat place for a scout camp. I would have had such fun here in my youth.
Another place where I was reluctant to stick my paw. I've seen snakes in these hides before.
Stuck my head in instead which probably wasn't any smarter. I must get into the habit of using the phone camera.

Today we planned a caching run to coincide with the Hinterland Round-up at Lower Beechmont, so what better than to turn a group of green dots yellow! Fellow cachers Nadine 1989 and Geefer joined us for the occasion. All up we found all 25 of our planned caches for the day, including the event.
A nice quick easy find here after the initial disappointment of the nearby Multi. Hmmm, I have never thought of this type of cache hiding place as a fist before.
Found at 9.55am on 12th June 2016. TFTC.

2nd find with my little group of Scouts and leaders on camp for the weekend. Thanks for the cache.
Found this cache last Saturday with flagmarshall39 but forgot to log find. Just too excited with the new bike. Tftc
A lovely day to drive south with Genyo and clear up a cluster of caches and a few strays along the way.
What an interesting part of the world this turned out to be. A park and camping ground and lots of lovely rural properties. An easy find here
On we rolled...

After having pillion footrest brackets made and fitted to my newish dirt bike, an excuse for a mornings ride came in the form of a group of caches in Maudsland. Navigating from a bike is a lot different to a car however, so I can see a tank bag on the horizon.
We managed to overshoot this cache a bit, but that let the traffic past nicely, and the little monkey was soon in my fist. Thanks for the fun MM.

A slow morning so we decided a little caching was in order.
Chose the Canungra, Tamborine Mountain, Eagle Heights, Maudsland & Guanaba areas as our targets for the afternoon.
I think was our quickest find so far today! LOL ...
Stamped & replaced as found.

After spicing up our life a bit at the last cache location we came to this one. We weren't able to spy any water today so we were grateful for the photograph on the cache page to show us what we were missing. Yes, well, we could have wandered closer to the creek, but, well, there were still a few caches to be found, and the grass was long besides. So we're happy with the photo today. The cache was a little elusive - it was hiding very well, but it couldn't fool us for long. [^][^] Camping trips as children are some of the best memories our kids have. It's great to hear how much they mean to you too.
We parked close to GZ but finding the elusive container took longer than expected. Across the road a couple of muggle cars pulled up on the grassed area but the turned out to be going in to ride the horses. Thanks monkey maker.
A nice evening to find some caches overcast and a odd sprinkle now and then....
Found at 3.40pm beautiful little spot *Photo attached* Great little creek I never would of known about if it wasnt for your cache. Thanks for bringing me here and telling us your histroy on this area we saw the scout sign and was happy to know its still going

TFTCSL Geocaching with Minky4paw from RSA! She is good at this!! Quick find. Used to bring the geokids to scout camp here! Lovely!
Was a lil worried when we arrived, with the workman right at the bridge..but they were to busy working down in the water to worry about what we were up2.. What an awesome lil creek running by! Fav point added from us here for bringing us to this cute lil creek, we will be back for a dip another day ) TFTC SL
Out with the family & somehow ended up down here near this cache. After seeing the cache name & CO I must say I did have a little concern creep in that it may be our first DNF for the day but thankfully I was wrong. A nice area down here. TFTC
With a wet afternoon looming I decided to try and round up some drive by caches.
There were a few cars parked at the entrance to the park and the muggles appeared to be far enough away not to see me at GZ. I drove to the far side of the creek and walked back to GZ.
I had to check a few spots to locate this one.

So after walking down from a slightly spicy cache just up the road I had become distracted about 50m from GZ chasing to a lady walking a Rottweiler and Pug. What an interesting choice of two dogs so different.
Once the trio of muggles had continued on their walk I zeroed in on GZ and soon had the CIH. A nice quick find. Cheers. TFTC. SL.

Out and about after work today to find a few caches up here in the hills.
Not quite a quick find as there are lots of little corners to hide the cache but I found it. [^]
Thanks for the cache.

It is amazing how some caches no matter how remote become secret muggle magnets.
My first visit to this caches original location was a DNF because of a muggle campsite right next to it up the creek.
Today it was the meeting point for three different junior muggles. One was on a quadbike, the other on a motorbike and the other on foot. Two of them had rode off when I returned from up the road so I parked nearby and decided to go for it. As I got out one of the muggles said "Are you such-and-such's boyfriend?" to which I replied "NO NO NO NO" and kept on walking. The return of the quad bike distracted the junior muggle and I went for the cache without any further enquiries.
Thanks for the cache monkey maker. Cheers!

Unfortunately the cache has gone walkabouts and more distressing is that the pristine creek area has been trashed by campers and or (for lack of a better word) bums.
So in the mean time I have placed a temp cache out by the road as no one needs to see what they have left behind. I will check in a few weeks to see what the area looks like again.

Far too well camoflauged for me to find today. In the rain. While hiding caches. I got my hair caught in the thorny vine ansd it ripped a few strands out (hopefully just greys,) when I tried to
Come unstuck. I used the hint and searched for a while but had to give it up. Not my best searching, but the mozzies were like tracker jacks!

We wandered down to this one and it wasn't long before something out of place was spotted. Number one son (Golden Dire Wolf) retrieved the cache and the log was signed. Thanks monkey maker for hiding the 595th cache that we've found so far!
Out caching today with my dad on his birthday and Sal having lots of fun. TFTC! monkey maker
Checked on this one today after recent heavy rain and I'm happy to say it's still safe and sound.
A nice drive in the hills today with a few of the kids and with Couchmen. Picked up a moderate amount of finds, but in all it was just a great day out, driving around, getting some good caches. Thanks to all cache owners for placing and maintaining their hides.

Out for a late morning and afternoon run with the Blacklegend team, we had planned a straight hit on Beechmont Rd but decided to do a run on some of the new ones first.
We noticed a car in the car park when we arrived and weren't sure if it was abandoned or not but there seemed to be a lot of stuff inside but nobody was around.
We decided to check out GZ and as we were walking we noticed a tent in the bushes off to the side.
We headed around the long way and approached from the other direction.
There was someone in the tent but they were facing the other way and we were far enough away for us to be able to search.
I found it very quickly and we both signed the log and the guy in the tent was still concentrating on something in the tent still facing the other way.
We headed back the long way and no one showed any interest in us.
Thanks Monkey Maker TFTC SL

Not a DNF as we didn't even search. There were people camped by the creek a few metres from GZ. We don't tend to endager caches for an extra smiley. We shall return.
Out and about exploring the area with Fangsoki. The car parked at the entrance looked like someone had been sleeping in it so we were wary as we entered the reserve.
As we approached the GZ we found that they weren't sleeping in the car but instead in a tent less than 10 meters from the GZ.
The find wasn't going to happen today. Maybe another day. Thanks for the hunt.

FTF at 3.15pm . I watched this all day and as nobody had gone to retrieve this by 2.30pm I decided to have an afternoon drive and dog walk. Lovely country drive with a park at the end. I'm not sure what this will be like in wet season but it was nice and dry today. Thanks monkey maker.
