Logs
After carefully navigating an army HQ , we found this cache. Having to log it an hour later due to not having phone reception.
Out and about on the back roads leading towards Kingaroy. First stop was coffee and cakes at Yarraman Bakery then on the trails for a fun morning of caching.
Some people take coffee black. Others prefer milk blends. ruzzelz just likes it flat and .
Last time this cache was MIA. Unfortunately, today at GZ in addition to the cache, there were the remainents of repeated less than desirable human activities. After discussions with MM we decided that minor relocation of the cache would be the best option.
Cache relocated a BOT and new cords provided to CO.

So much rubbish in this area. We considered doing a cleanup but soon realised we would really have needed a trailer so just collected a small amount. A nice speedy find here. Thanks youngoldfella
Looks like this is the local dumping ground for coffee cups and all sort of rubbish but the cache was safe and dry. TFTC
It was extremely sad to find an echidna that had been run over as we alighted from the car before crossing the road to GZ. I haven’t seen any around, and it’s nice to know they are, but they’re so rare to see that it was particularly sad.
If anyone in the district wanted to hold a CITO, this would be the perfect spot to do it. We made a relatively quick find thanks to the hint – but if someone does have a CITO please make sure the cache is safe! TFTC, youngoldfella. =^.^=

Many thanks to coral.sea.cat for leving a replacement here. I no longer live in the area and it is a 4 hour drive for me to maintain my hides here so unless I get assistance archiving is my only option. Thanks. It is a small screw top container behind the multi-trunked tree, with half a besser block on top.
Found a cable tie but no cache. As others have reported the place is not so pristine these days.
No luck for us today. Searched for 10 minutes and then searched a little more. All we found were old nappies and lots of rubbish unfortunately.
We looked really hard to locate this one with no luck, we note the amount of dumped rubbish at gz making the search quite unpleasant.

While out on one of our geocaching days with Peppa, we discussed how many oldies we have found and mentioned "Noises of Tarong". So a day trip to the area was planned and today we finally found this cache.
After that hike, we were looking for a place to grab a drink or 3 but found that these small towns don't actually have a shop. We stopped while on our way back to Nanango to grab this cache but couldn't find it and noting the DNF's previously, we were going to do the same.
After contact with the CO, we returned and replaced the container to keep this series going.

Has been replaced in tree just above head height. Many thanks to the kind geocacher friends who did this for me.
Another day of adventure with Patrol14…
After finding the oldie down the road (our target for the day) which wasn’t 32metres from the parking co-ordinates, I’m in need of something cold and fizzy to drink, so we headed towards Tarong… Stopping here first, we couldn’t find a cache, so with DNF logs loaded and ready to go we headed towards the shops in Tarong… there are NO shops in Tarong…
So after turning around, we discussed the CO and his current ability to investigate this cache… so in the interests of the community with returned to GZ and put a new replacement cache above head height…
We’ve messaged the CO and let him know of our actions… tftc…

Had a good look around, still lots of rubbish but debris as well. Looks like water has been over this area. Maybe the cache has travelled away from gz.
We are having a lovely drive around finding some great caches and getting some smileys and this is one we found. Thanks youngoldfella for this one.
With Aussiemates on a loop today. Time to turn for home. As mentioned in previous logs, there is a bit of rubbish around the area, but that does help camo. TFTC

Thought we saw it from the road but no, that's not it.

After a couple of days caching on the Bunya Mountains it was time to head home but one can't go straight home without finding another one or two caches on the way home. Soon had this one in hand and was signing the log before replacing as found as I had a long home and it was back to work tomorrow. TFTC
Meandering on our way home in our motorhome through back roads we have not travelled before. There's a lot of rubbish around GZ but that helps hide the cache. Left a keyring. TFTC
Found a muggle here having a smoke but all good. She knew what we were up too! Signed the log & had a chat while she finished her cigarette! TFTC
Passing buy. Thought I might have a quick look.picked up the TB to go up the mountains with me.
TFTC. Day 2 and for the afternoon session we decided to head out via Nanango-Tarong Rd and circle back vi Nanango Brooklands Road. A great afternoon of caching. 21 finds and one that I (Hans) could not work out the field puzzle. Even scored a first to find on a cache that was published yesterday. All caches in pretty good nick unless noted. Good Co-ordinates made finds a little easier.
Thanks for providing this decent sized cache...able to drop off a Dragon TB that we have been carrying since leaving Victoria a few weeks back. TFTC Youngoldfella
Mrs Wombles and I pulled up close to gz here and made a quick find thanks to the hint. All signed and returned and off to the next cache, Tftc youngoldfella
@stortigirls and I were headed out towards Nanango with no real plan, a bit of a comparison of maps and a few caches to try for.
We decided to try for the older cache in Tarong forest so a few to pick up along the way.
Nice quick find here.

TFTC! I lost reception at this one. So had not read what I was searching for. Whoops. However while at GZ, I noticed something and thought, that would be have to be the cache.
Beadling down the back roads on way to Cooyar to drop off some stueasy find with hint Spotted a familiar name in the log with today’s date. Didn’t stumble across any over cachers today.
Nice drive through here, ditch the highway and shoot the breeze

Thanks YoungOldFella for placing this cache here. We have really enjoyed our drive out this way today. We’re sorry to say the cache was found open with the lid on the ground nearby and only the laminated cache note inside. We added a logbook in a ziplock bag and a few pieces of swag and placed it back where we could see it had been. Added camo before leaving. Hopefully those that muggled it are long gone.
Cheers and happy caching!

Found this cache in disarray. Container in one direction, log book in another, plastic bag further on and on to card elsewhere. Put it all back together and in obvious place

On my way to Toowoomba for the TITO for Brother Colin tomorrow.
Having confirmed that this was indeed missing and armed with a replacement cache, duly signed and placed at the right spot.
TFTC youngoldfella. All good here now

Spotted a power station in the distance when we were at the Bunya Mountains. It was only on the way home that we learned it is Tarong. TFTC
TFTC - doing a few park and grabs on our way to Kingaroy. I can’t get over how much rubbish people throw out!! Perfect spot for a CITO event
Left home to drive to the QOGM in Barcaldine. Caching on the way, so we stopped here.

Our “Raising Hell in Maidenwell” cache run, it was supposed to be a car show but incorrect info on the website had Scooby Doo (Subaru Outback) and the Mystery Machine (Caravan & Mobile GeoHQ), stacked, loaded and ready to go on the wrong weekend. With Mr RF hanging for a day off and a trip anywhere, we decided to change the weekend into a cache run with a visit to the Maidenwell Hotel Saturday night for the monthly “Pig on a Spit”. Basing the Mystery Machine (Van) in the pubs free camping area Friday afternoon for a Sunday departure we headed off to do some caches.
We arrived at this one and was glad to see it was one of Young Old Fella’s caches, these are always well looked after and fun to find. This was an easy find and Mrs RF soon had it signed sealed and delivered.
We took nothing but memories; we left nothing but footprints and our tag.
The hide is excellent, the container is in good nick and the log is in good condition but almost full and ready for the next finder.
Thanks for the cache youngoldfella.
Cheers

With my new swag to test out, an overnight camp in the Bunya Mountains with plenty of bushwalking to find all the great caches on offer seemed ideal. On the way to an oldie at Tarong I stopped in here. Quick grab, dropped a TB.
Thanks for the hunt **youngoldfella**, this find makes #4472. Discover our TB

Quite a few muggle cyclists enjoying the country road this am ?some event on. We noticed some cattle in a paddock with their cattle egrets for company. Did not take long to find the cache but would have taken some time to pick up all the rubbish at this corner, unfortunately.

Out and about in the camping van for two days of Geocaching. [^]
Now for day 2. AND I have just realised I have been writing the wrong dates in the caches for 2 days.
After spending most of the last two days travelling along dirt roads I am onto Bitumen for the rest of the way.
Another quick find here.
Thanks for the cache.

Our last cache for the day. There's a lot of rubbish here sadly, glad we didn't have to stay too long to make the find. We asked the geokids to stay in the car, they were happy to oblige. It appeared that there may have been an accident here recently with a car or truck crashing into the tree?? Cache in order & hidden out of sight. Tnsl tftc youngoldfella xo
Travelling around Australia and now super excited to be finally starting our trek to the Easter Geocaching Event at Alice Springs.
Managed to grab a couple of caches between Clifton and Nanango even though we had our 24ft caravan in tow.

Found with Mum as 'Jess & Caro'. She is now Carø and I now have my own geocaching profile so we are sorting my logs for caches we found together. TFTC!
Found it on the way back to the car after giving up. Just off the side of the road put it back where I think it belongs.
Thanks youngoldfella by this time is was getting quite dark and we paused for a while to look at the stars that we miss living in a city

After being idle and tied up with household chores over the last few weeks, It didn't take to much prodding to decide a mini road trip was in order.
After consulting the trusty map decided that a little adventure North through Yarraman, Narango and Kingaroy. And because youngoldfella places his caches along some great country roads the marjority of attempts would be on his caches, With a few others thrown in for good measure Nice cache thanks for bringing me here and for the adventure.
Thanks for the great cache and adventure youngoldfella
