Over visiting from NZ for a month and today is our last full day. I needed a few more finds to crack 500 for the trip and set a new monthly record. This group of caches in the Burbank area looked like they would be ideal for an early morning wander, before the day reached the predicted 34 degrees .. First for the day ws this one with good FP's and what can I say, other than it gets a FP from me too. TFTC
What a funny cache! A lot of laughs had from this one today! TFTC with Carolynjoystar and Lacuna__
Finding some last caches around Brisbane before I drive home. I just learnt not to mess with Mr Rabbit!! TFTC
For near on two years now, I have been dropping first son at his mates place around Wynnum on a Sunday afternoon. This is my little break for the week as I have three hours to explore the area and find some new caches. I am gradually widening my arc and this afternoon I spend two hours walking around the JC Trotter trails. There are plenty of caches in this bushland to find, and this afternoon I bagged 4.This was the first. A quick walk from the carpark and the cache was in the first place I looked. I gave a little poke to ensure it was the cache before retrieving. Log book and cache are all good here. A favourite point for the container. Thanks very much for placing this cache TMRabbit. Cheers
I am needing a J animal for a challenge cache and theres one in this area. Ive also been wanting to find this Big Bang Theory series of caches, so with hubby, we parked in a small area off Mt Cotton Rd and did a circuit walk over a couple of hours. Later we discovered a safer parking area on Cherbon St. We had 12 finds, all fairly easy, and one DNF. We enjoyed our walk in this lovely area. We actually saw a couple with their dogs here but luckily they walked down the track when we looked for this fun (?) cache which was spotted quickly. Logbook signed and replaced as found. All good here. Tftc
I despise rats. So this was a very tough cache for me to complete. On finding the cache I kinda freaked out. Thankfully no one else was around. So calmed down signed the log and was on my way back home. TFTC
I headed out in the geo-car for a few caches today.Decided to hit a few around Capalaba.I found your cache, Little Rat - No More today. This is my 2344 find.Found this quickly but still poked it to make sure it wasnt real, lol,TMRabbit, TFTC, TFTH & TFTSF and thanks for bringing me here.
Neat container! Haven't seen one like this before, almost went running lol TFTC
Got such a kick out of this one. We took some great selfies to disgust our friends with

I had intended to ride through this bush land to collect all the Rats and any other stray in the general area but on arrival I noticed the NO BIKES signs at the entry. I don't know why as these fire trails would have been perfect to the ride. However there were council rangers at the car park so the bike stayed in the car today. That said I had an enjoyable 8 km round trip for the morning.

Over 100 geo caches found and this was the best one yet. Thanks so much for placing.
Today after attending the Van Gogh Alive exhibition, I decided to head out solo for some bushland walks around Capalaba. My first stop was J.C. Trotter Memorial Park and detouring past the various *Big Bang Theory* geocaches, and then I took a few more miscellaneous walks grabbing some of the oldie geocaches in the vicinity. After exhausting my water supply, I decided to finish off my afternoon with driveby geocaches and short walks, in particular, finding a few more of the *Saturday in the Park* (SITP) series.
In the end, walking around J.C. Trotter Memorial Park past the 17 geocaches on offer took about 2.5 hr with a mix of jogging and walking. There were a few other muggles about either jogging or walking their dogs, but I was largely solo during my trip. I am a fan of the *Big Bang Theory* TV show, so although the geocaches weren't physically themed, it was still a nice dedication series.
This was a target cache due to its high Favourite Points (FPs), with 76 FPs having accumulated at the time of my visit.
Although this would have been an easy walk from the east from the nearby car park, I stopped off here as I ventured around, passing the small shelter with a group gathered underneath. After stopping at GZ and having a short search, I managed to make a reasonably quick find of the cache. Very creative, and it certainly made me laugh! The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks TMRabbit for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance. A Favourite Point from me!

Quick find but gave us a bit of a fright!
Will be back to finish the rest in this area.

That was a little macabre perhaps but I found it humorous just the same. Cache in good order. TFTC
What a perfectly themed cache container this was and a great way to start our walk here. TFTC TMRabbit
Out with muggle daughter and Beanz for some exercise in the outdoor.

Out and about for the day clearing out this reserve. Loved this one! FP for the uniqueness of the cache itself! All is good here. TFTC.
The very first of a great day out at JC Trotter park. We’re so glad that you brought us out here because it’s just another great little Brisbane reserve that we’re lucky enough to have discovered because of caching.
A great fun cache that had the kids petrified to even pull it out.

I wanted to share the photo of the rat, but I believe my picture would spoil it. Absolutely no one here, but 1 car.
Easy find. Last find of the day.
Absolutely brilliant cache, fp award of course.

Chamad was telling me the other day that he was wanting to try and do 50 caches in a day for the badge, so yesterday I asked if he was keen to go out and find them. We organised a time and place to start our run which was by Burbank. We wandered around a few reserves and then decided to head towards Springwood for a few Earth caches, mystery’s and trads.
All in all we had a great day out and we’re both completely exhausted.
Sorry for the generic post.

TFTC smile 5650 out and about with miss Millie geo dog on our way Southside to pick up a few oldies, caches that is, had a big day, picking up all the big bang series as well. Thank you for placing this cache for our enjoyment.
Out today with my Geocaching’s buddy Grannysmith1947. Our target again was one old cache and a animal cache for that animal alphabet challenge. Have two more to get. After that one it now leaves me one to get. Yippee .
But there is 17 caches in this park, I have to clear this park out. Found 16 one DNF, so not to bad I think.
Then Grannysmith1947 notice another old cache in the park next door. So we had to visit that old one to.
So two old caches today. And 4 yesterday
Plus two 2006 ones too
Sorry for the generic post
Cache a day to keep the doctor away, or is it to keep me sane. No it’s to keep my streak alive. TFTC TMRabbit *354* streak. *2127* Finds

Having dragged ourselves out here on a seriously hot day to grab the Lakeside cache, because that’s what one does when the car temperature gauge says it’s 36° outside, we stopped on the return journey at the undercover area to splash some of the amazingly cool water from the tank on ourselves and take a break.
Once we had done that, we traipsed our rather overheated selves back towards the car, but this cache was just far too close to just ignore. Besides I could see it’s hide from where I was at the track, I was certain.
Leaving Fangsoki at the track to watch me at work, I headed over for a quick grab. Well that gave me a giggle. Thankfully my quick grab wasn’t quite at the level of the poor other soul here. It certainly made me wish it was a cooler day so we could look for the other caches here by this CO. But don’t worry I shall be back another, less hot day I am sure!
Thanks for the cache TMRabbit.

Got it on the way out rather than in as there was actually someone at their car (and asking me for fishing tips when there is nothing about me that would suggest I know anything on that topic).
I loved it, I’m all for a little novelty and this one was charming
I am recovering from hand surgery and can only write (poorly) on stable surfaces, so please accept this unicorn stamp in lieu of signing the log.

Out with the geohound today and this was my first stop. A quick find and a great cache! Urgh! TFTC!
Midday after arranging to meet ESCR to complete Makku Mob - Tingalpa we stopped for an ice cream which turned into 3pm lunch because Oddiewan looked at his stats and saw he only needed 20 to reach geocache find number 200. He found Trotter park on the map full of 18 hides— all with recent finds and logs with the likes of “quick find”. A plan was then hatched— neither of us had enough battery power to last the whole hunt so we made the plan to economise our devices turning off all redundancies. We parked at the trailhead and headed off, with the idea that we spend only 5 min at each hide and employed a bit of a get-ahead approach where I remained to sign the log, once found, while he ehaded off to search for the next. In most cases I caught up before he had laid hands on the next one. It was efficient and we found all 18, only one in poor condition (but dry). A brilliant day ending in us finding the final three back near home.
This container is in brittle shape but the log is dry. The name had us thinking there would be a more clever hide, but we still got a find and was exactly what we needed as our energy levels waned. We were almost done.
Thanks for all the caches. This was a great park to send a Sunday afternoon. Cheers, semik

I was in need of 11 gems for the mystery at the museum challenge and the filters suggested this would be a good place to tackle today. Hmmmm so I have no problem finding plastic spiders or snakes in caches, but this...yeah this got my heart racing a bit even though I knew it was just a cache. TFTC
Walking to GZ we were surrounded in the paparazzi!!! Photographers as far as the eye could see, taking snaps of kids and all their photography paraphernalia was out to, we really hope no one has set themselves up near the cache to take snaps or we may just have to stand there and throw a shadow over their subject until they move along. Coast was clear, but we must admit that we had to walk past a few of them, the photographers were all nice and polite, but their assistants were throwing us the stinkeye, how dare we use the walking trails for walking and not photography.
We signed the log and walked past them with our shadow to get back out again. Unfortunately, the log was really wet here, but we could still write our name on it.

First for the day on our track to find the 18 in this group of caches, and off to a great start! This was a nice hide with an awesome container! Cheer! Spellzen and Teazr
Back in my old stomping grounds after an eight year absence (I was a muggle in those days) so have a lot of caching up to do in South East Queensland. Visiting the Geo Grandies whilst in town, and caching variously with them. Today, it was the youngest - miss 6yo.
When she arrived in town , she reminded me that when she visited us in Victoria in December, we out cached her, she was not keen to do it again in the Redlands. So we waited almost 24 hours till she said, "OK, lets go caching" This morning at breakfast, she demanded to go caching again.
Last night I got an interesting email from groundspeak, advising me of a cache in my area with over 50 likes, so we decide this would be the target of today's adventure.
Found by Miss 6yo, but she would not put her hand in. I wondered why not until Mr D removed the cammo and pulled out a great big ..............?
Thanks for the great hide TMRabbit. We enjoyed our walk today.

Oh this cache was beyond cute and so worthy of its many favourite points. With Geodog Angus capturing the odd bush variety I can imagine how excited he would have been if on this walk! Tftc
