Over visiting from NZ for a month and today is our last full day. I needed a few more finds to crack 500 for the trip and set a new monthly record. This group of caches in the Burbank area looked like they would be ideal for an early morning wander, before the day reached the predicted 34 degrees .. Continuing on now. A nice quick find in 1st beacon checked. Nice to see the orig 2013 log book still going strong and to see Sean the Sheep guarding TFTC
Its probably a regular size rather than a small, but an easy and fun find nontheless
I am needing a J animal for a challenge cache and theres one in this area. Ive also been wanting to find this Big Bang Theory series of caches, so with hubby, we parked in a small area off Mt Cotton Rd and did a circuit walk over a couple of hours. Later we discovered a safer parking area on Cherbon St. We had 12 finds, all fairly easy, and one DNF. We enjoyed our walk in this lovely area. After finding a similar one, this was definitely a quick find. Logbook is a bit mouldy but signed ok and replaced as found. Tftc
Saw a hare race off as we left
New logbook and we found a tree to knock 3 times on

10/5/2023 Find #6098
SaintsMadHouse and I had escaped for another day of Wednesday Madness. We had decided on this area of Bushland to start our day with and would then branch out with other stuff later.
Replaced the rather sad log with a fresh book. Only wish this find was by the gum to knock on.
However upon our exiting back towards the path, it turned in to “Bunny bunny bunny” as a hare hopped away from us. So I took this from the experience of our second last cache here today:
The moral of the Big Bang theory is…. Hare today and gone tomorrow!
Thanks for the cache TMRabbit.

A enjoyable walk around this reserve collecting caches along the way. Got distracted by a sheep in a tree as I approached GZ. Certainly an interesting thing to find out here. Cache was soon spotted nearby. Thanks TMRabbit
Made our way in off the track towards GZ where the cache was located quickly. TFTC
Nice little hide here! Amazing how much the plant life changed as we headed down. Love the scribblygums.
Set out to complete the big bang theory today. Quick find here. Giving it a favourite for the series. TFTC TMRabbit
I had intended to ride through this bush land to collect all the Rats and any other stray in the general area but on arrival I noticed the NO BIKES signs at the entry. I don't know why as these fire trails would have been perfect to the ride. However there were council rangers at the car park so the bike stayed in the car today. That said I had an enjoyable 8 km round trip for the morning.

Last one for this morning I think. Can I just say be wary of wasp nests. Cache decoy much.
Found easily but cache has been overrun by ants and mud... Log soaked, unable to sign. TFTC. Also found this creepy thing in a nearby tree (attached).
Today after attending the Van Gogh Alive exhibition, I decided to head out solo for some bushland walks around Capalaba. My first stop was J.C. Trotter Memorial Park and detouring past the various *Big Bang Theory* geocaches, and then I took a few more miscellaneous walks grabbing some of the oldie geocaches in the vicinity. After exhausting my water supply, I decided to finish off my afternoon with driveby geocaches and short walks, in particular, finding a few more of the *Saturday in the Park* (SITP) series.
In the end, walking around J.C. Trotter Memorial Park past the 17 geocaches on offer took about 2.5 hr with a mix of jogging and walking. There were a few other muggles about either jogging or walking their dogs, but I was largely solo during my trip. I am a fan of the *Big Bang Theory* TV show, so although the geocaches weren't physically themed, it was still a nice dedication series.
I arrived here, and after a short search, I managed to make a reasonably quick find of the cache. Nice outer camouflage. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. I managed to sign the new page of an inserted logbook page, but it is probably in need of a proper new logbook. Thanks TMRabbit for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

Found the cache but so had a colony of large ants who were partly using it as a nest. We cleared them out and moved the cache half a meter away so it was no longer on top of the nest. Thanks for placing this.
Out and about for the day clearing out this reserve. Had my eye on it for a few years but with a bit of motivation and a day with nothing better to do saw a bunch of trads turn into smileys . TFTC
Out for a morning of caching with the GeoKids - Mr 12 had some strong geo senses here and was spot on with the find quickly. Penny had a house full of ant guests so the extraction was quickly passed onto someone else! Signed the log and replaced as found. Log book a little damp but otherwise all good with this hide. TFTC
Another good one! Love your ideas! Favourite point for all your effort to give us the opportunity to find them all! Merry Christmas and a wonderful new year! TFTC
T and the kids walked in whilst D and O in the park hung around the local properties.

This one was a little trickier to find but i may have my geosenses kicking in and had it quickly in hand. 2-1
Ha ha, once you have seen 1... Great hide. Thanks. I did enjoy little miss sunshine!
Beware the snakes and spiders when walking through the bush. Log was very wet, so the log container could do with some waterproofing.
Nice little cache, container and log a little damp. Forgot to bring spare zip lock bags with us today. TFTC
Day 3 of Mr RoddyC's treatment. Need some exercise so was dropped off on his way.
Very still morning today. No one in site.
Quick find but poor Penny-Penny-Penny needed a little attention. Penny-Penny-Penny was very wet and black ants were keeping her company.

Sorry generic part of the post.
What an awesome day or should that be exhausting! Out with geonayfee to try and complete 50 plus caches in a day. With this cache we completed it.
We completed 2 series and a few target caches, a few earth caches and a couple of puzzles…. Awesome day and a lot of driving and walking but the challenge was completed, thank you for being part of our challenge, next is 80 in a day
quick easy find

Chamad was telling me the other day that he was wanting to try and do 50 caches in a day for the badge, so yesterday I asked if he was keen to go out and find them. We organised a time and place to start our run which was by Burbank. We wandered around a few reserves and then decided to head towards Springwood for a few Earth caches, mystery’s and trads.
All in all we had a great day out and we’re both completely exhausted.
Sorry for the generic post.

TFTC smile 5653 out and about with miss Millie geo dog on our way Southside to pick up a few oldies, caches that is, had a big day, picking up all the big bang series as well. Thank you for placing this cache for our enjoyment.
Out today with my Geocaching’s buddy Grannysmith1947. Our target again was one old cache and a animal cache for that animal alphabet challenge. Have two more to get. After that one it now leaves me one to get. Yippee .
But there is 17 caches in this park, I have to clear this park out. Found 16 one DNF, so not to bad I think.
Then Grannysmith1947 notice another old cache in the park next door. So we had to visit that old one to.
So two old caches today. And 4 yesterday
Plus two 2006 ones too
Sorry for the generic post
Cache a day to keep the doctor away, or is it to keep me sane. No it’s to keep my streak alive. TFTC TMRabbit *354* streak. *2141* Finds

I was thoroughly impressed with how close the colour resembled the real deal even though the size was wrong.
A little more off the path than others so I feel like I am being lured into more and more bush bashing.
Replaced log pages with waterproof ones as the existing ones were a bit damp.
I am recovering from hand surgery and can only write (poorly) on stable surfaces, so please accept this unicorn stamp in lieu of signing the log.

Found with stairman1 and geopuppy. We are getting to the end and geopuppy is getting tired and hot. Nearly jumped in the neighbors pond.
Gotcha! Lovey walk out in JC Trotted memorial park today. Tftc I have been told of this type of cache, this is my first encounter
On the way to find this cache Roxy and I heard a rustle in the Bush and we spotted a wallaby. Roxy really wanted to chase it but luckily i had her on a tight lead. Spotted another apt cache. Thanks for placing this cache here for us to enjoy
An easy find, once I managed to untangle the geohounds lead from a bunch of trees he managed to wind himself around. TFTC!
Midday after arranging to meet ESCR to complete Makku Mob - Tingalpa we stopped for an ice cream which turned into 3pm lunch because Oddiewan looked at his stats and saw he only needed 20 to reach geocache find number 200. He found Trotter park on the map full of 18 hides— all with recent finds and logs with the likes of “quick find”. A plan was then hatched— neither of us had enough battery power to last the whole hunt so we made the plan to economise our devices turning off all redundancies. We parked at the trailhead and headed off, with the idea that we spend only 5 min at each hide and employed a bit of a get-ahead approach where I remained to sign the log, once found, while he ehaded off to search for the next. In most cases I caught up before he had laid hands on the next one. It was efficient and we found all 18, only one in poor condition (but dry). A brilliant day ending in us finding the final three back near home. Thanks for all the caches. This was a great park to send a Sunday afternoon. Cheers, semik
I was in need of 11 gems for the mystery at the museum challenge and the filters suggested this would be a good place to tackle today. I am a fan of The Big Bang Theory show, and enjoyed finding these caches. Cool hide. TFTC
We were in and out here as quick as lightening as the rain is starting to spit now and we know more will be coming. The weather forecast said the rain would start at 12 and wow they are bang on today! With the pressure of the rain and not wanting to get saturated for the drive home we were glad we made the find quickly.

Eldest geoson waited at the track. While youngest and I took off through the bush. He wished he wore long pants with all the bush bashing that was done. We came across this one quite quickly. Different to the others. Nicely done. TFTC
After finishing most of the series and grabbing Sheldon as Teazr's 100th find. We have returned with the little dudes to finish this series off . Just as enjoyable as we remembered. Cheers! Spellzen, Teazr, Chase and Zayne
Beautiful walk. Niche cache. Love this series. Tftc! Teazr, Spellzen, Chase and Zayne
With a new cadre of souvenirs available during the Cache Carnival promo, today we planned to target caches which have a handful of faves (and simultaneously get some good exercise!) by riding around and tidying up the caches we've yet to find in the big bang, rabbit and rat series.

James and Matty found this one about the same time, but Matty retrieved the log for me. Added an extra blank page here after signing our name, and matty carefully replaced the container in its hiding place. TFTC, TMRabbit. At least we can't accuse Penny of having no Cents!
Got up early for our venture around this bushland reserve. There were a few smiley faces from a long time ago and it was good to see a new bunch of caches. We especially liked the novelty hides. Thankyou TMRabbit for placement of this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area
I had a chuckle after spotting the outer part of this one... yes, it’s been a while since I last cached out this way!
I’m sorry I didn’t bring a new little logbook with me, but if the next person has something, it would be good to bring.
All is otherwise fine so TFTC!
This was the last of my loop today and I was very happy with the whole walk. Thanks for a great series!

Found with the geohound this afternoon. All good with the cache. Enjoying the nice wander peacefully along the tracks. Now have run out of time and have to pick Goldielover from work. Will only be 30 minutes late.
Another great cache hide.

Stumbled across this one, was too busy looking up for the koala the last log mentioned! Almost up to our troll hidden creature. TFTC
From Howard we headed on to find Penny. As the bush was so beautiful and full of lovely grass trees and native flowers we decided to stay in the bush to walk rather than going back out on to the path. Whilst walking along I said to the little chikins "I can smell koala". I looked up and there in the tree across from where we were standing was a little furry bottom shining down on us. How glorious to see a koala in the wild. The chikins were so very excited. Full of excitement we carried on to Penny and walked right up to her. Knew it was her straight away. Very cute cache hide. TFTC.
Out today with the family for a walk on such a nice warm winter’s day. We decided to do a lap around the JC Trotter Memorial Park and to see how many caches we can find along the way.
Another nice cache. And a quick find after a short bush bash. Today is such a nice sunny day to be out here for this walk.

Yesterday we came for a walk in this bushland resetve and started finding this series. Today we decided to pop back and find the rest of the series here.
This cache was our first find today. That's an interesting hide. We replaced the torn zip-lock bag. All ok here.
Thanks for this cache TMRabbit.

By bad luck this was the last cache found today, though others were attempted on the way home to the bright side of town. Felt I was being stalked and looking over the shoulder, found three muggles and a blood hound gaining quickly on my position. Paranoid, maybe!!
At the junction to take me back to the car, doubled back to check on Penny while sighting the blood "Maltese terrier" hound following my earlier scent back to the parking area. Luckily I didn't know earlier my misdirection would throw others off too!!
Gave me plenty of time to collect Penny and return to hunt the hunters. Being caught out they got into their scooped up Mazda to return mum to the nursing home.
Thanks for maintaining this series TMRabbit. Will be back to complete the remaining caches.

Talk about being “there” thankfully done a few others like this so I was quick to zone in on this one. Love them. “It’s there” was my response to the crew! “Where” they replied.
Nice and obvious, but not!
Awesome cache. A bit wet so little penny put in a new bag.

We were happy that the trail was flat but after walking through the shade and into the sunlight the heat struck like an iron fist. The gentle breeze also disappeared and that uncomfortable feeling of emerging sweat in places you can't mention had started.
I'm not sure who has mapped out the paths in this park, but they clearly had the map upside down when they did so. We walked around the obvious paths but they weren't anywhere near where my map said they would be. Admittedly I am a bit of a goose, so the fault can't be entirely theirs.
We trundled off the trail into the bush and were starting to look about when something funny caught my eye. I kicked it over hoping to find a cache but instead jumped 3 metres when I saw an armada of killer ants racing to all corners of the globe. I also saw the log book in a plastic bag but I couldn't grab it with this louse frenzy in effect.
I used the hiking-pole to dislodge the log and then shook off a few of the ants that had stayed to defend their base but it was as hopeful as a rag-tag bunch of star fighters trying to blow up the Death Star. In this movie, the imperial forces were triumphant. tftc

TMRabbit I found your cache Penny-Penny-Penny on 28/1/18, 10:34 am. This is my find 1897 and find # 5 today. Rode around the park on a pushbike, picking up a number of caches. Thanks for the cache! TNSLLN
