On our way home from a month long trek around the south west with Raymac972Thankyou to Dr.ibl for placing Dr.ibl in BruceRock for me and others to find.I added my name to the log at 14:31This is find number 674 for meTFTC

WA Big Trip Winter 2024. Day 28 - Kulin to Bruce Rock via Kondinin and Narembeen. It seemed like a short day, but some things never go to plan. It all started out with the series not far from Kulin at the Gnarma Schools site and surrounding reserve area. Some of those caches were very difficult to locate. Next was on to Kondinin for a morning snack and two detours for the two caches I was able to target in the county. Narembeen was next, but after a long and difficult visit to the cemetery. Again, this county has hardly any caches along the roads I chose to travel, so every one counted. The last leg into Bruce Rock was smooth and I spent some of the afternoon doing a lap of town and the surrounds for the nearby caches. Dinner in the van tonight.I am going out of town this way tomorrow, but I have heaps of caches on the list for tomorrow and not as many today, so I headed out here for a look. After spending 2 nights at my sons we headed off again with the dogs, cat and caravan final destination tonight unknown free camping along the road somewhere of course gathering a few smiles along the way. Thanks to the CO’s for placing and maintaining caches.

On a road trip around the wheatbelt areas of Western Australia for a few weeks. We are enjoying the many friendly towns along the way, wether staying in the CP’s or camping out. So far, we have found every cache that we have looked for, and hopefully our streak will last as we move around to the next town and beyond. Thank you so much to the CO’s of every cache for placing them for our enjoyment. They certainly bring you to many spots that you might not stop at otherwise.

After a great weekend in Kulin for IGD21 it's time to make the trek back to Perth. We took the scenic route via Narembeen, Bruce Rock and Quairading and picked up a variety of cache. We finished the night with pizza in Kenwick. Thanks to everyone who made this weekend so much fun!

Stopped in here on the way out of Bruce Rock for Shackleton and Quairading. Was a quick find. The cache container is cracked. I didn’t have any spare on me as I forgot to bring my toolbox. If anyone has a spare sistema, please bring it to replace. Cheers Dr.ibl!

Out for a wheatbelt road trip after the COVID travel restrictions have been lifted. With WAGB20 being cancelled in the pandemic, an invite to join others to celebrate the long weekend was perfect.
First night was camping at Elachbutting Rock with Barnsy12 and Cravo10 where we hit some great finds, beautiful locations and had fun on the dirt tracks weaving our way whilst caching out to Kwolyin Rock for the second night where we met up with a nice crew of fellow geocachers to enjoy sitting around a large campfire sharing stories. I have lost count of the rocks Ive climbed - but my body says many
I then head off on my own caching along the way to Northam where I spent a couple more days hunting through beautiful Toodyay and York and surrounds.
A huge thank you to all the COs for placing and maintaining their caches. The places I have seen and the fun I have had are testament to why I love this game so much. Its been a big 5 days and I am pooped but I have loved every minute!

Ummm’d and aaahh’d about stopping for another one today and had this plugged into the navigation to see what it was like near GZ.

With it being a nice and big pullover bay I parked as close to GZ as I could and made my way the cache and after looking around for a couple of minutes claimed my find.

After conferring with the boss I organised for a leave pass for the weekend, that got extended for a second night, and headed out to the Wheatbelt to join fellow caches.

Day 2 started to clear skies and plans to tackle Kokerbin Rock in the morning. Had lots of good conversations and saw some amazing aspects of the Rock before heading back to camp for lunch. I had a nagging LGA nearby so headed off to Narembeen to clean that one up and returned grabbing a couple in Bruce Rock.

The evening at camp was a hoot with some many teams about and hearing from Lyn, Pat & Nathan about starting caching in WA all those years ago, looking forward to getting down to Albany next year to celebrate at WA Goes Big 2021.

Bit tricky

Unfortunately there is a lot of rubbish and toilet paper to fight your way through to get to this cache. A new cacher did well with me in tow. TFTC

Today our tour - which began in Perth, WA , and led us thru Western, Northern and Southern Australia back to Perth, was simply driving from Hyden back to Perth.

On the way we came to some interesting locations. Here we searched, found and logged this Tradi-Cache.

Weather was good in the morning and it should even get better during the day.

Thanks to 'Dr.ibl' for showing us this location, for the fun we had with 'Dr.ibl in BruceRock' and for the smiley. The search here and today didn't take too much time, fortunately.

Greetings from Germany and we hope to see you soon in the forest, prairie, desert or outback .

A quick find on our way out of town.
Decided to head country for a couple of days caching.

Very smelly area but a easy find.
Got in and got out quickly, heading to Quairading for the Ag show..

Heading for Quairding for the night after spending a few days around the goldfields. Stopped for quick leg stretch and claim another smiley. Cache in good condition and found easily. Tftc

We spent a weekend out in the wheat belt with family and friends before heading off to collect some more smilies, we are happy to say we came up trumps here and another smilie was earned TFTC

A caching day with ilook4geo is always good fun and today was no exception. We found a variety of cache types and signed all logs where appropriate. Some were easier to find than others but we were very happy that all gave us a smiley on our caching map.
This cache was found quickly but cleaner surrounds would make it more appealing. Dr.ibl gets our thanks for adding to the caching game.

Amazing. There is a rubbish bin right there yet the path in is blown with toilet paper. No wonder i like to get away. Anyway, that is no reflection on the co, just my rant about "civilisation" for the day. Tftc.

A quick stop to find this before looking at Bruce Rock township. Tftc

Decided a trip to the wheatbelt was in order to knock off some more LGAS. We headed out at 4.45am and didn't get home till 7pm and clocked up more then a 1000kms but we were happy to get 9 LGAS and picked up some other caches along the way. The weather was pretty good except a bit cold and we visited some interesting places on our travels and all the caches were found quickly. Thanks to all the CO,S for placing these caches for us and others to find.

A bit prickly and spidery getting into this one today but we made the find, our last cache in Bruce Rock! On the road again tomorrow TFTC

Day 12 of our Adventure to the northern Goldfields and now in the Wheatbelt. Today we are moving the big distance from Mukinbudin to Bruce Rock, to explore areas south of the Great Eastern Highway. Quick find here on the way to Kokerbin Rock. TFTC!

Well it’s now day 12 of our Northern adventure , now more Eastern adventure as we head south of the Great Eastern Hwy with m4yb, Jonathan the camper trailer and Max the GeoUte. On our way to Bruce Rock for a couple of days.
Always try and avoid the highways. Nice little walk in here and a nice easy find.

Day 2 with axell33 on our wheatbelt run. Beautiful paddocks of gold, ready for harvest. So many great caches taking us to amazing places. Thank you for this cache.
