GZ has been removed fully now. It was still there when they cut down the tree, but now it is all removed.
After 2 previous DNF's, we weren't overly confident and once we hit GZ, were even less so. Only a few places it could have been - we both had a look over GZ and couldn't see or feel anything. Sorry UncleSam, hope this one hasn't been muggled again. Will be back - I'm sure the kids will like the playground here.
We had a good poke around at GZ, but not too many places to look. after we checked everything twice we gave up and moved on...
I went there three times, it took me near a fence. To me it seemed like there is no hiding spot. Maybe next time.
On this hot and sunny Saturday, yorkshirekiwi83 and I headed out to East Auckland to target some of the caches out there. A nice quick find here, with only one muggle in the park, not paying attention to us. TFTC!

The Eastern suburbs needed to be looked at again, its been a while since I was last out here, so Vistra and I decided to make a day of it, nice quick find.

Nice quick find with Miss Davieland. Cache isn't hanging as tree has been chopped down. It's on the floor, hidden by a piece of wood. It may not last much longer. TFTC.
A Beautiful day to be out and about ,avoiding the Boxing day sales madness. Cache very quickly located. As has been previously mentioned ,the natural cover which was once there has gone and it will only be a matter of time before small muggle hands find this treasure. TFTC
I'm currently attempting a 50 day streak for the GIO Licence I am working on and as an added challenge a few of the SEAC crew are joining in.
After a disappointing DNF at another cache I headed over this way. Got to the general area and my heart sank when I saw the structure had gone - would this be another DNF?? Nope it was still right there tucked away just waiting to be found thankfully.
Thanks for the cache. Streak day #27.

Been waiting for someone to turn up at home as Ive locked myself out :p so decided to find this one to pass the time. Unfortunately a few of the trees in the area have been given the chop, but I found the tube amongst the rubble. UncleSam I'll pm you to let you know where Ive left it, probs best for you to change location.
Master 8 found this bison tube, muggle free @ the park, out 4 a quick park n grab on the way hone before dinner! Dog not interested in us either.
So many leaves to search through! Impossible to see the cache from one angle, but I spotted it from the other side. I think it's the highlight of the dogs' day to bark at geocachers. Luckily the park was deserted. Dodgy ornament still there.
Luckily I was doing a bit of caching today with Mr 3 so we blended in quite well, although the dog was trying to draw attention to us! There was also a random bit of ornamental china lying on the ground...odd! TFTC!
We came over to Pakuranga this afternoon to pick up Mark's mother to go and visit her latest great-grand child. While we were here we took the opportunity to pick up a couple of caches. Parked and went for a short play. Thanks.
Im happy to say that coming by here today I wasnt pestered by the pesky little kid next door or his annoying alsatian. Easy find as it should have been
I would have found it but the young kid next door was throwing rocks against his fence (the one with the alsatian) right next to where I was ducking down for cover! The little @#$/ knew I was there too. So I got the hell out of there!
#145 grabbing a few caches over this side after a meeting for work. Nice easy hiding spot.

Found the cache but forgot the pen. Proof of find photo sent to CO. TFTC!!!
I searched high and low here. Takes you to a particular spot but no sign of it for me. Have to head off to Dad's Funeral this morning so ran out of time here
Had me pointing to a decoy spot but soon figured it out. Brave neighbourhood dogs started barking as i walked away!
All in good condition. TFTC

TFTC nice and easy cache to find. Had to write on the back of the paper log since the front was filled up. And yes there were a few dogs barking.
Needed a cache today to help us complete our matrix (our challenge for this year). As many loggers before us, we were barked and growled at with some ferocity! They soon got bored and ignored us while we fumbled around in the torchlight! TFTC
Stopping in quickly on the way to picking daughter up after I finished work... Thank goodness there was no one around coz I think I also looked pretty dodgy searching for it!!! No dogs though luckily! tFTC!
One minute I am on my way to meet a girlfriend for coffee next minute I am acting a bit dodgy in a local park. Loving it. Tftc
3rd Geocache found! Only one in walking distance from home. Enjoying this new hobby
Wahoo my 9yo & I's first find! Thought it would be bigger!! Thanks for the great location.. I didn't even know this playground was here!
Only a few minutes searching and got a find. It's nice to be out during a summer evening. TFTC
Noisy dog kept drawing neighbours attention so will have to come back another time and try again.
Yay thought I would never find it with all the dogs. They made me quit scared. Good find.
Found it together with Oscar thanks for the nice cache!! The weather is not to Bad to go geocaching rumpelpumpel93 from germany
A small amount of time before continuing with work like things and to keep practicing for finding caches in Australia later in the week

As I drove up I was fairly sure I had been to this park before, must have logged a find on Park n Play the original at some stage. This hide was fairly straight forward and its nice to be in a fairly discrete locale.

Day 30 out of 50 day streak towards our full geo-license. A quick early morning diversion before heading to work. Remember coming here for our 31 days of Geocaching streak back in August! Thanks for the cache, UncleSamNZ!
Easy find with no peeking neighbours. Will have to come back to sign the log since I ran here with no pen
Found this one on the way home from work today. No kids or dogs made for an easy and quiet find...TFTC
I had Josie distracting the yapping dog over the fence while I made the find. Thanks
13946... Nicely hidden away from the kiddies play area... that was thoughtful, TFTC.
I remember finding the earlier version on a dark rainy night, probably as part of a streak. Back again today in bright sunshine with the Future Finder working towards another streak. Peered into GZ and soon spotted the goods. Cheers for the cache (re)placement!
Found it easily enough however the dog just over the.fence made being 'subtle almost impossible.
Third time lucky with finding this cache! The first time i headed to this park, the cache was in its previous location and there were muggles on the playground. Second time being a couple of weeks ago, the home owner was maintaining his fence about 2m from GZ so gave it a miss without even looking.
Today, i get to GZ and the guy over the fence is mowing his lawns and looking at me. I waited till he needed to empty his catcher and got in there and found the cache. Signed log, and went to replace when the dog over the other fence starts barking. Quickly replaced the cache and got out of there before i raised any suspicion. TFTC UncleSam

Too many muggles. Will need to return when the neighbour's dog won't be barking at me
A nice quick find after church today, once I got myself oriented correctly. The weather still can't seem to make up it's mind at the moment. Thanks!
Dad and PowellFamilyNZ were almost FTF on the original, so Dad was familiar with GZ as we approached. Mum and 9YO went searching; while Dad, 5YO and 2YO played at the playground.
9YO found the cache quickly, and Mum signed the log while the kids played. 2YO did not want to leave - she loved the swings! Mum could feel the sun beating down, and thought it best if the team moved on... and more caches were beckoning!!!

I had some time between and after work commitments today so managed to fit in a drive around in this area to find a few caches. Hmm middle aged guy on his own in a playground, a worry... No one in playground, a relief... Two very territorial dogs just metres away from cache on other side of the fence.. Aarrgh. Luckily the cache was quickly spotted. I retreated to a distance the dogs seemed to approve to sign the log then went back in to the danger zone to replace the cache. TFTC, Biggles.
