Find # 5132
Found with sesblocker while attending the Sutherland Shire Geocaching "Winter Wonderland" event being held at Bent's Basin campground this weekend.
I don't remember the carnival rides being so small and poxy!
Great coordinates made for an easy find.

This venue certainly wont be reopening.. Nice hide. Found with Mosaikmum on a showery afternoon. TFTC
At this point, on our way to the event cache just down the road, we decided that we'd call this one the last cache for now, and head on over to the event. After that there would probably be some time for further caching, but we didn't want to get to the event too late now.
Rather sad how somebody's dream of owning and operating a theme park seems to have turned into nothing but a pile of rusted parts and bits for rides, etc. Occasionally, one still sees some sorts of carnival rides at various festivals in Sydney, but most of the rides and activities look rather worn, in serious need of maintenance and TLC, and just a bit out of date. Mind you, my little lad and I had tons of fun on the dodge 'em cars at Moore Park last year: he was too small to drive, so I did the steering and he directed me towards cars he wanted to crash into!
I spotted the container first, but I didn't make a grab until my son had also had a good look and then he saw it, too. Legalities done, we put everything back as found and then decided to follow the road all the way round to GZ of the event, arriving in time to catch some of the cachers who had arrived earlier.

Found after the nearby event with Seemyshell. Apparently I walked right under it, as SMS laughed when I finally spotted it. Now I have a sore neck! He put it back so don't blame me if you can't reach! TFTC

Well I thought I was picking up a few caches on my way to an event in Warragamba, turned out I was a day early, but it was a great day to find a few caches. Nicely camoed, sad to see an old fun park just left to rot. TFTC
Found. Thanks to the boos for pointing out where the cache was and introducing themseleves to us. TFTC
An easy find to start the day.
An interesting place, would love to know the history behind all the stuff here.

Bit sad to see all this old equipment rusting away. They are not even good enough to put in a museum. Perhaps we need some bright and glitzy equipment sitting in this yard to provide a bit of balance.
Had a lovely lunch as part of a large family reunion at the local club, so decided to try for some more caches today. Mixed success but managed to lay my hands on this cache quite quickly. After adding my name to the log I returned him to his hidey hole. Thanks to The Booos for placing this cache for us to find.
We came for a walk to the dam with our youngest friend and decided to do a cache while here. This was pretty cool to see an old abandoned them park and learn about the area a little more. We took some cool photos. The cache was an easy find and hubby took pleasure in floating rut he was the one to find it!
Out and about on a caching run in the Mulgoa/Warragamba area today while the missus spends time in Penrith with a girl friend. A straightforward find here, the first place I looked. Thanks for placing this cache Booos.

Headed west today to explore around Warragamba and learn its history, after a visit to the dam itself we stopped here.
No theme park but still plenty of fun to be had here!

My whole family enjoyed seeing the theme park graveyard and made jokes about the old rides. My daughter found the cache and I dropped the log returning it, so then it was a game of retrieving the log, which thankfully we did . Mr Minion then replaced it all as found. Thanks for the cache The Booos tnln sl
Like finding a pedigree cache say a couple of the old rides. Wasnt till we drove off and turned the corner that we got to see call the cool stuff. So wish I could look around. Thanks for bring us to a awesome spot so glad we did this one during the day or we wouldn't have seen all the cool stuff
Out cache with oldmorty on a big day. This one of many caches we found along our travels. Thanks to all the cache owners for maintaining their caches
Out today for a day’s caching with marj01, no bush bashing, just park and grab. After heading off pre-dawn from the eastern suburbs we visited the towns of Wallacia, Warragamba, Narellan, The Oaks and Nattai. Lots of caches were found; on the ground, dangling in trees, on signs, in stumps and even one in a haunted house. Whilst most of the caches were familiar we did strike some very ingenious ones. A large percentage of the finds were quick, however, there were some that had us scratching our heads for a while. All in all, it was a very enjoyable day out and I would like to thank all the CO's of the caches for hiding and maintaining the caches that we visited. And yes, I did read the reason/history for each cache in the lead up to the trip.
A late start to the day saw us gathering fewer caches than we had expected. We opted to explore the Warragamba region with our geofriends HubbyandMrs. We met up with them at the pub in Wallacia for a good feast before caching through the afternoon into the sunset.

I had wondered what this meant when I first read the cache name, but approaching the site, we could see why this name was chosen. The frames of a few fun park rides rusting in the weather.
The GPS wandered but soon settled down, and there was only one location that could hide a cache. We soon had CIH and signing duties were completed before replacing just as we found it.

After failing to find the third Megarrity's Creek cache (what is it with those for me?), I was nearly back to the car when I stopped for this easy find by a rather depressing site. I walked along two sides, the bushland is full of stuff that was probably wonderful in its day. Sadly by the time I was old enough to enjoy such parks they were all fading away and their contents apparently came here. I actually nearly missed this by looking in exactly right place for the wrong container.
Out and about with Happy Uke and our good friend Blueandgolder to day to try and catch up on some caches that need to be reported. So there was no time to waste and we all got busy doing what we do best.
Thanks!
Thanks!
Finally organised a caching day with Blueandgolder... and with Finalf29 driving the geomobile... we were a formidable team. Even with some DNF's, we all up found twenty eight. Fantastic day, wonderful company and great caches.
This was the nineteenth for the day. I remember visiting the safari park and fun park when I was a kid... my family didn't have an enjoyable time... but I flipped over this cache. Thanks

Out caching with ziggiau on this beautiful Boxing Day. We made the area around Warragamba dam unsafe and had a great time! All the best for 2018 for all the COs!
Quick find, TFTC! Would love to trespass on this area to find other things.

It's Boxing Day so what better to do than go out and find boxes? Team MavEtJu and I rode our bikes around Warragamba to pick up some The Boos caches and this one was kinda kooky - I like the placement, very tactful. Amazing the things that get left behind to rust.
Out on a lazy-ish day so went for a bit of 'freestyle' caching driving around the Warragamba area - i.e. no particular objective other than not needing to walk very far or search very long on a such a warm day.
Tally for the day = 25.
Weirdest thing was, coords for most caches visited seemed to be out by 10 metres in the same direction. Perhaps Santa Claus will drop a new GPSr down my chimney.

As my learner driver at home needed some hours, we decided to head for the dam event and find a few caches on the road. This was one of them and we really enjoyed our hole day.

after posting a DNF at this one years ago it will be nice to see a yellow smiley face on the map rather than a blue frowny one... my gps was convinced we were on the wrong side of the road so I dutifully walked across only to be told to go back, this time I realise what I had to shift to make the ache more obvious and lo there is was. then in my zeal I tapped the log sheet onto the ground without realising. luckily CTH was there to save the day with the retrieval before the wind swept it into the graveyard to join the sad rides. tftc
After looking pretty much at this cache, and not registering in my head lol my fellow cacher picked this one fairly quickly.
What a pole of rusting history. I may have had a ride on some of these in the past. Who knows.
Found with hippofun who happened to find a munzee by accident while she was here. Had to explain what that was. TFTC.
Found -- 3:10 PM -- SL TFTH. Thanks for bringing us here to this location The Booos. Cache in good condition.
I took advantage of today's glorious afternoon to do get out and about with hubz and bubz for some caching. Have been wanting to seek out the Burragorang caches and then head into Warragamba to collect some caches there, one in particular. OMGosh !!! What can I say about this cache?!?!?! I am in disbelief. I have passed here on a good number of occassions over the years and never noticed this location. Today was a shocker to see the remnants of what was. How overgrown this location has become from what I imagine was a parklike setting.
