Logs
Was about to give up and walk away and then tried one more place, and there it was. Log is very wet and grotty, but still managed to sign. The weather this morning was not looking great, cloudy and overcast after some rain overnight but we decided to head out anyway down to Kurri Kurri to check out the murals. We took the loop route caching as we went before spending time in Kurri to look around, complete a Lab and have some great local fish and chips before heading back the more direct but busier way.We came across some great 3D printed cache containers and a couple of innovative ones as well, also completing a multi. We managed to dodge the rain and had a good day out.Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache Chippyroo.**SKI Pair****
This cache was found today and brings our overall cache find tally to 12457.
Found this one today but the log has just about had its day!
Thanks Chippyroo for the cache.

Maybe my blindness but couldn't find this one today. and now I read it's not in good condition anyhow.
#9216 (13 of 15 today - including 5 Adventure Labs)I am gradually catching up with my logging - I'm missing two months worth or so. And that's over 100 caches! At least my most recent finds are up to date - just need to fill in the gap!To be honest, while I still find searching for caches fun, I'm finding logging less so. But I have to log to get me stats and souvenirs, so...Only a few Adventure Labs and my First2Finds have been written up in a timely manner - don't want people racing out when it's already been snaffled.Nevertheless, I have kept up with my 2022 goal of 16 finds per caching day. In fact, for the most part my modus operandi has been to actually aim for 20. So far I've only failed on that a few times, and only by 1 find. Amazingly I'm on track for 19 finds per day, I just have to put my mind to my future goals... 25 per day? Owwww.Thanks to all the CO's who have made it possible to keep my goal in sight. Most of the finds have been Traditionals, but a few Puzzle series and the odd other cache type have been grabbed where possible.Sorry the logs are very generic, but I'll never catch back up otherwise.###END OF GENERIC ABJECT GROVELLING SECTION###Out to Mulgoa and surrounds for a feast of puzzles.found all I looked for, and even finished an AL and it's corresponding bonus.###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###Not sure I've seen that much rust on a cache container before... But at least the log was still signable.SLTNLNTFTC
Log was mouldy mush but put in a little piece of cardboard. No plastic bag though so this won't last long either. Needs a ziplock bag or similar for weather protection
Found lying by the huge light pole. The log was very damp, but we managed to add our names. TFTC
A long day of caching in the Newcastle and Maitland area as part of our expedition. Started at Minmi this morning and worked my way to the event in East Maitland in the evening.

Found on the way up to the speedway at Kurri Kurri. Park and grab with Geoian.
Well, searched the most obvious trail type hide. No luck there. Maybe that. Well I found the eclipse container others have found, which has a piece of dried out paper in it. Twas like writing on papyrus. Container found. Log signed. Smiley earned on this Aussie day.
Returned back. Thanks to the last person adding a log. This was one of my very first geocache attempts. Glad to have it solved. Tftc
Bored in lockdown so I fixed up my bike and went looking with my dad. No logbook so we replaced it.
Dnf 17 June 2021. Found the tin I saw a old posting about, opening it has nothing in it.
Found with My Dad (DJANT) and my Brothers (dart16 & Jedi Anakin) I have my own account now and am trying to catch up to the boys Thanks for the cache.
Interesting log. Good divert off the Hunter Expressway. Be careful when choosing a car park.
Find # 6349
Nice quick find.
We replaced the missing container.

A quick find while out sight seeing in the area, the roads we traveled on were choosen by the geocaches we hunted. SL TFTC
After finishing the Dogs Head earlier in the day, we were still in high caching spirits, so continued on to tackle some other great caches and trails in the area!!!
Caching today as part of team Capital Crunchers (fitzy_1965, minniek, specimenX, Nibletricecakes, Joolay and Roostaman) on our Maitland long weekend adventure. So glad we made the trek it has been truly delightful! As an added bonus we all hit a milestone (mine being 3000) AND racked up the most number of finds we have ever found in a day!! 310! An all round epic adventure. Thanks so much everyone!!

Headed to the Maitland area with fitzy_1965 & SpecimenX for an extra long weekend of caching.
Day 2 saw us joined by nibletricecakes, Joolay & even Roostaman (who happened to be staying in the same campground as us by chance). Dogs Head Trail was our main aim with others collected along the way.
With the big trail all finished, we pushed on to see if we could get over 300 for the day. All puzzles that we found were pre-solved before heading to the area.
All caches where found quickly and easily unless otherwise mentioned. Logs were either signed or stamped as Capital Crunchers, CC, Kapital Krunchers or KK.

This was such a fun series. Totally recommend it. You never know what is around the corner.
Up in Maitland with Nibletricecakes, Fitzy1965, MinnieK and Specimen X, to do the Dogs Head. We will go by the name of Capital Crunchers.
Our logs are signed CC, Capital Crunchers or stamped depending who wrote them.

We'd completed the Dogs Head Trail and were now powering onto the Wollombi, R&D and Road to Maitland series and a few randoms along the way. This one was one of the randoms and it was an easy find for us here

We were able to park safely not that far from GZ and I walked over to find and log the cache. Luckily there was little traffic here today. Thanks Chippyroo for the hide, and the road!

With a long weekend in Canberra, FurfacesLL #1 and myself decided it was time to get away and find a bit of warmth as the cold makes its way into Canberra. We decided to head up to Maitland as neither of us had been there before for Geocaching. After finishing the Dog Head Series yesterday and a few others, we decided on a quieter day today, so we made our way out to Frying Pan.
After finishing Frying Pan, we made our way back into Maitland for some lunch and then went off for some more caches. No issues with this one.
Thanks for the cache hides Chippyroo and thanks FFLL#1 for another trip out and about for some quantity AND quality caching

Headed to Maitland with Rapidlywild to do the Dogs Head Trail. Today was day two so off to find more caches around the area. A pretty cool 3D trail brought us here.
Quick find here and then on our way back to Maitland along another trail.

Last day of Hidden Creatures and I finally get out for a decent day of caching with Gibberish101 and my youngest minion. Loving the look of a few new trails in the area. TFTC
Sunny winter day out caching, just Mum and the girls. Working through some more Hidden Creatures. I ducked across solo for this one, feeling very exposed to traffic while quickly finding and signing log.

Found with Beary_Unicorns, been reluctant to look for this one due to the traffic, but being the closest to home, I had to get it
First of this series for me. Will finish series on my next visit to NSW. Thanks for the effort and helping build the road. Great to meet you and mrs at OZGM. TNLN. SL. TFTC!
This one looked to be in a very dangerous spot according to Google Maps, but once we got there it was an easy find. TFTC!
Each year I follow the Aust Solo Speedway Championships which are held over four meetings. This year those meetings are at Kurri Kurri nsw, Undera vic, Mildura vic, and Gillman sa.
It only seems sensible to do some geocaching along the way. It helps to break the driving and I get a lot of enjoyment from it.
Please excuse this generic log as there are too many to do them individually, but I certainly appreciate the dedicated work of all the COs in providing us with this great hobby.

11/19 today with no Dnfs. Dropped /threw copilot (Purplecacheeater) out the door as I went to do a safe u-turn. TFTH
I was thrown out of the car while 3Ferrets navigated u-turn manoeuvres and I quickly signed then jumped back in the car as 3Ferrets slowed down enough for me to jump back in TFTCSL interesting spot
Nice quick find at 16:48! careful there is a rather suspicious hole right next to the cache! Not child friendly.
199 and counting.
I really want to get to 200 so we did this quick one near home.
I was so desperate to get to 199 so i can do my 200th that we pulled over on the side of the road at night time and found it by torch light.
TFTC
I have chosen a cache that i think may be related to this one , it has had me hooked for quiet a while and is my kind of puzzle so I'll probably send you a found note again tomorrow.

Had to go to Cessnock today for the first time in years so took the opportunity to grab a few caches while on my travels.
Worked at the smelter for 17 years and was looking forward to using this exit, But with the closure of the smelter it wasn't to be.
No problems finding the cache.

Found at 10:58 AM GAFF1 in the company of Team Nurse Hayley.
It's taking a bit of time to get to these caches as we seem to be meandering all over the place. Now there was a nice simple hide - liked that smooth rock whatever it is.
Thanks Chippyroo.

Today we set off in fine weather to do a bunch of caches along the expressway and surrounds, keeping to 'park and grabs' as we had master 3 year old with us.... turned into a rain-cache day! We persisted and had a great day, with zero DNFs, and no wet soggy caches either! Take note Cooranbong!
For some reason we didn't have this on the list, but changed plans and navigated to it at the last minute, made a quick find and headed off to the next HEX cache... TFTC

Today we travelled from Broke to Kurri Kurri. A fantastic drive amongst the grape vines with a backdrop of great looking mountain landscape. Many interesting caches found during the day.
