Logs
Normally based in the United Kingdom, Team Luffness had made it over to Australia. We were on a road trip from Melbourne to Brisbane, but had returned to Sydney to visit family. We were desperate to continue our daily streak of 347 days, and the caching day had gone poorly. We'd failed twice in Casino, Northern NSW before 8.30am; before enduring a 12 hour train journey to Central. We'd failed at a cache at Central about 8.40pm; and driven to our apartment in Maroubra. This was the closest option, so a 3 kilometre round walking trip from 9.30pm to 11pm to go hunt for a cache. Initially not an easy find, as most of the trees here are banksias - also not the easiest in the dark. Eventually the hint dropped and I saw something referenced in the clue. I've never been more relieved to put my hand on a cache container. Many many thanks for keeping us in the game for another day. Please accept a favourite point for saving us.
#724 Thank you very much for the geocache. Took nothing, left nothing, signed the log. Personal trackable dipped for mileage. [^]
348th day of current streak. 68th geocache in Australia.

I parked the car nearby and walked along the path where there were lots of Banksias planted. The co-ords were spot on and I was lucky to walk straight up to the correct tree. The first place I looked revealed the cache (thanks to the very detailed hint) in it's little hiding place. The outside of the tube was wet but the contents were still dry inside. Signed the log (when the muggles weren't looking) and then returned the cache to its spot. TFTC
The pressure was on with my geo-buddy watching on. Phew! Didn't let him down and found it without too much trouble. TFTC.
Oh boy! Was this hard to find! Don't listen to everyone we tried many a times and only after our geocache expert came, we found it!!!! You think or assume it's placed one way but it isn't!!! Finallyyyyyy!!!! TFTC!
OCW C8 on my one year caching anniversary. Quick find after checking a few different banksias. Bison enjoying resting in there. TFTC. #644
Out and about today to vote early because I am only house sitting in the area.
I found a parking spot quickly and only had a short walk to GZ.
Once at GZ I headed to the obvious spot and I soon made the find.
Thanks for the cache.

With it being so windy we decided to head to the clifftops at Maroubra to check out the sea birds. I left early so I could grab a couple of caches along the way.
Parked opposite on Anzac Pde and walked across to the spot mentioned in the cache description. A check of the banksias and I soon had CIH. The camo was much easier than I expected. As I'd read the cache description and a few of the logs I came prepared with some paper and soon had a piece cut to the right size. Signed the new log and replaced as found. (I have the old log if you want it gullightly.)
TFTC # 1523 2nd for the morning, keeping up with my target for the year.
Now off to the clifftops. Boy was it cold and windy! The birds were good though so it was all worth it.

A nice quick find here - as noted this could do with a new log and O ring as it is currently unsignable.

#2935 - Just founded. But log soaked so I gently laid out on the hot steel horizontal fencing nearby. But could not hang around too long. Did make it write-able. Suggest next visitor do same. And place vertically so as to avoid seepage in its home.
Many thanks to the CO gullightly for another local cache.

Found quickly. Log is a bit damp, still writeable but seal of container is gone. TFtc
A very quick find by phone light. I should come back in the daylight.
Thanks for the story and the cache.

After being covered in cobwebs I found the little sucker tucked away a a camouflaged quite well. The hint certainly helped me in the find. Nice one. Tftc
Today was the day of our big trip to Singapore! We were leaving a bit before lunchtime but our relatives wanted to meet up with us before leaving. It was a good thing that this one was nice and close to their house, just down the street really! We arrived and had a bit of a chat, everyone was pretty excited! My sister, my cousin and I headed off to try and find this one while my parents chatted with the rest of the family.
After a bit of a walk which included a bit of a muck around on the way, we arrived at GZ to begin the search. With three sets of eyes looking, it wasn't long before the cache was spotted! It was my sister (the one who is least enthusiastic about geocaching) who spotted the hide! Log signed and cache replaced. My cousin (who is a bit younger) wanted me to add in "Found after school" (which I did) but we did not find it after school ! TFTC gullightly!

I needed a cache today, to fill another calendar gap, so stopped off on my way to work to have a look for this one. Parked the geomobile in the handy parking area on the Eastern side (South bound) of Anzac Parade, which is very close to GZ.
Followed the pedestrian & bike path, and then a little "off the path", to arrive at GZ. A quick search of the bushy location soon had CIH. And as the cars zoomed past, only a few metres away along busy Anzac Parade, I signed the log sheet and then replaced as found. Now it's off for a less fun activity, an afternoon shift at the airport. TFTC.

We had a Friday afternoon post-work walk at Maroubra. We walked from the beach to GZ through the local streets and bike tracks. What nice facilities. The container is in a really secure place in a pretty typical gullightly way. We had intended to have a swim when we returned to the beach but there were thousands of bluebottles so we let them have the territory. SL TFTC Cheers... Gaztek
Out at the Eastern Suburbs today with the grand kids helping out looking for caches. A short walk along the bike track and soon had the CIH. Signed the log and returned and covered. TFTC gullightly.
TFTC,
Log was saturated. We replaced it and have the old one if the CO wants it.
Trying to get to 3000 before we go away next month. I finished all the caches in the Macarthur Panther series over 12 months ago and wish to make GC4G0Y4 the big one. Today I have reduced my remaining count from 27 to 12 by traveling to the Eastern Suburbs.
Visited a group of trackables.

Another quick find while geocaching in the area, it did take a while, thanks to gullightly
I signed one of the bits of wet blue paper, but the pen only half worked. Nice little grove of bush here. TFTC.
#1899 (9 of 10 today)
Decided to push to 1900 finds today, hopefully ending with a 2 Dogs cache for the milestone. Decided to return to an area I've rarely been to - east of Kingsford Smith Airport.
By the end of the day, all my targets had been met - although that milestone cache gave me some trouble.
END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION
Final find before the milestone.
Got to GZ and had to wait for a dog walking muggle (not the one at the last find) to move on before searching.
Two minutes of poking around before I spotted something suss. Picked it up expecting it to be the cache. Nope.
But then I checked closer - CIH!
Took well away to complete signing duties - a good thing as people kept walking past GZ. The log was very wet - needed to squeeze water out of it to manage, barely, to sign it.
Then back for the quick replace.
I suspect an O Ring would solve the problems here.

#3387 - 13:20; In Sydney for the day with the geohoney and picking up a few caches prior to heading off to an appointment. Stopped by for a quick find on this one, although the log is soaked and in need of drying out or perhaps replacement. Nice spot for a quick stop and cache. TFTC gullightly
Funny description, love it.
The paper got wet inside, nearly impossible to write on it any more.

Banksia is our buddy too, because it gave up the cache with no problems. TFTC.
What a tricky little one. Without a hint it would be demanding. Unfortunatly didn't take any pen. Tftc
Once there took 5 minutes to find it! Good hide, wasn't too troubled by muggles. TFTC
Very close to our house, but didn't manage to find it after 3 visits. With a little help from our groups geocache expert we finally managed to find it.. TFTC
We waren hier al drie keer geweest en niet kunnen vinden. Nu met onze jongste (onder)zoeker erbij was hij snel gevonden. Prima gedaan Anton en bedankt voor het meezoeken.
Passing through the area we decided to pick up a cache or two, this one being the first for today. Pulled up on the north bound side of the road and strolled to GZ where the geowife quickly spotted the hide with a little help from the name as I was looking at a smaller specimen nearby.

Found as the first of three during a slight detour on my ride home . Quite an isolated spot. Quick find and indeed the logbook was missing. I'd read this in advance and had prepared by bringing a little logbook with me to place in the cache, which should be good for the next twenty visitors or so. Thanks!
As stated in my previous log there is not logg book in the container. However the container is is good condition.
GeoD flying solo in Sydney for the week and an afternoon opportunity for a stroll presented itself. A quick search and the prize was to hand (well the container at least, there was no log to sign). I wonder if the ever watchful eyes of the cache guardians know where it went. ?

I found it with my little kangaroos but we had hard time , mistaken the way it was hidden!
Our very first geo cache find. We are very excited to join this fun. We've been walking past here every day.
Came here in the dark. Quite hard to see. Thanks for the hint. Found it using the light from my phone screen. TFTC.
On a cold and windy day, the place was deserted besides for a few hardcore fitness enthusiasts but they were minding their own business. The hint came in handy and the cache was found after a short search. TFTC gullightly
Heading home after a long weekend in Sydney staying at Coogee beach with the Geoparents, we decided to pick some caches along the way.
Quick find at this one.
