I noticed that this cache has been in serious need of owner attention for a period of time well in excess of the period of "a few weeks" as contemplated by the cache guidelines published on Geocaching.com. While I feel that Geocaching.com should hold the location for you and block other caches from entering the area around this cache for a reasonable amount of time, we can't do so forever. Please either repair/replace this cache, or archive it (using the archive listing link in the upper right) so that someone else can place a cache in the area, and geocachers can once again enjoy visiting this location.



If you plan on repairing this cache, please log a note to the cache (not email) within the next 30 days so I don't archive the listing for non-communication.

Beyond the joke. No ones found it except for the owner who also has failed to address requests directed to them

Had a good look and like others before came up empty handed. Your extra clue is of little use to most cachers in the field as they can't see beyond 5 previous logs.

We recommend that the cache owner needs to take the following steps:
1) Do a site check. Is the cache still in place? Or has it been disturbed by hunting cachers.
2) Get a well-averaged reading at the cache site so more accurate co-ordinates can be posted.
3) Remove the owner's Found log dated Nov 15 to accurately reflect that this cache has never been found. That log should be a Write Note.

Had long hard search with Lycurgon then another cacher showed up, more hard searching with the three of us and still no luck.

Wanting to get a cache for the day with Reveurs, we looked around area for something and thought we would give this a go, because we want a 5/2 for helping with the grid and getting a FTF would have been cool. But no luck. We had been looking for a while without success when a car pulled up and parked behind ours. Out jumped slieschke and he joined the search. No luck with for the three of us. As it started to get dark, we gave up, leave slieschke to continue on his own.

There doesn't seem to be a lot of area that matches the clues. There are not many of the things described in the clue that are near the road, that can be gotten to without "bush bashing" at least a little. And the areas that are are have been disturbed a fair amount by cachers looking for this. Might be back again another time, but with such poor co-ordinates this is frustrating.

Needed to kill some time between Christmas Eve services and with more information posted I thought I'd have another crack. Arrived to find Lycurgon and Reveurs already there searching. Spent the best part of an hour again to no luck despite the additional information. Unfortunately it feels like a needle in a haystack task; the coordinates being out for something so well hidden has resulted in the area certainly is looking worse for wear from people's searches.

I hid this cache in a hole not buried it is extremely hard and if there were more star ratings i would rate it 15 D

Its just on the side of the road no need for trecking through the bush. Its just the way you encounter it

Like others I spent a good while looking but turned up nothing.
It sure is a Difficulty of 5 !!

Add me to the DNF list. Searched for an hour and only succeeded in nearly impaling myself when I tripped up. I think the CO needs to check on the hide, cause there ain't anything like the extra hint anywhere near what is described in the hint. If GZ could be narrowed down that would avoid much vegetation trampling and potential injuries.

Extra Clue: This cache is a small log with a hole in the top of it.

Searched about for over an hour with kiwicouple and expanded our search to all sorts of places to no luck. Our Australian friend is eating something odd...

Hmm, a perplexing D/T rating...

Someone must need to fill their D/T grid for a challenge cache

Could the D/T rating be confirmed please. Difficulty 5 could be reasonable - certainly 3 of us have searched for an hour without finding the cache. The terrain rating of 1.5 seems a little understated if it is hidden in the place we have been searching.
