My third DNF of the night and I am only trying to find one cache! I had a good look over the likely spot without success. I then retreated down to the deck and read through some of the older logs and they all confirmed that I was looking in the right place. I checked it all over again twice, and after about a 30 minute stop here, I admitted defeat and moved on. I am not sure where this one is... but thanks for the challenge Team FNYetta.

17/4/16 Out caching today with Marina25 and aiming to get at least 25 caches. I am working on a personal challenge to have 1000 caches by my second geo-anniversary which is the day after Anzac day. We started the day at about 9:30am and finished just after 2pm and specifically chose as many caches close together and easy to grab as we could.

Once again, I had found this one before, but Marina25 had not so we stopped to grab it. Unfortunately my memory was struggling to remember exactly where. A few spots seemed familiar but no cache could be found. I then re-read some logs (including my own) and remember where it was and that it was obvious but a little tricky. Many other logs hinted at this location also. I had another look, using eyes only and from the right angle, spotted something out of place. Once we could see it the grab was easy. TFTC FNYetta

17-Apr-16
Thanks to my geo daughter 14Net I soon added my name to the log TFTC

We think it is in the electrical biz but did not tamper with it we have to say it is a DNF

**Smilie #3839**

Day 2 on the North side!
Still a few caches we want to convert to smilies so it's all systems go!

This was our third find today.
Despite the co-ords wandering a bit this was a quick find.
The log is a collection of pieces of damp paper.
Signed one & replaced all as found.

Sad didn't find hopefully will go for another look and see again soon

01-Jan-16
Took a fair while to find, first because my phone wouldn't settle and wanted me IN the pond, and second because it was in a spot generally frowned upon by the caching community so I hadn't really considered it as an option until exhausting the other possibilities. Plenty of rubbish around one of those other possibilities, so I'm kind of glad it wasn't there! And a quick enough find once I did consider it. TFTC, Team Connelly. =^.^=

Having been here twice before I walked away empty-handed. Coming back for a third time I discovered the container and also why I did not find cache before. TFTC TFNY

26-Sep-15
Luckily this one wasn't in the bushes as the area has so much rubbish including dirty nappies - people are disgusting that they think it is OK to dump their rubbish here. After checking a few logs we knew where to look and found the hide. TNLNSL TFTC

At the moment I'm on a work and travel backpacking year through the world. Most of the time I'll spend in Australia and I'm trying to solve my 365 days of caching challenge during this trip. The chance of having a moving home zone should be taken, as it will make the challenge so much easier.

After a three and a half week roadtrip from Margaret River to Brisbane it's time to find some work again.

This cache was a quick and easy find.

TFTC and greetings from Germany

I looked high and low for this one where my gps showed GZ. I was eyeballed by someone at the units next door who was smoking a ciggy, but he did not stick around long. This one eludes me, but I will be back again.

Day 52 of my Brisbane trip.

Today I've dropped Mum off at one of her old mates for a natter and lunch. I've been shopping (yuk) and now the GeoSchnauzers and I have arrived at the site of a cache. We've been out looking for it, and it's started to rain, as distinct from drizzling. So we're back in the car, but I think I know where the cache is - so out I go with my brolly instead on the dogs, and I was right, there it is!!! Good hide!! Not only did the brolly keep the rain off me, it kept it off the log as well. Thanks for this one.

Out caching with Crew 153 today, we decided to grab a select amount of caches on the northside of Brisbane.

We got to GZ and started hunting about. I really did not look close at somehwere i hope it wasn't. Upon inspection of said area, I ended up finding the cache.

I quickly grabbed the cache and moved away with Crew 153 to sign the log to not look suspect at said GZ. With the log signed, I whacked it back and we moved off.

A nice little area. TFTC Team Connelly Smile

07-Sep-14
My Fathers Day gift from the family was a day of caching and I joined Fangsoki with a target to find a selected group of caches on the Northside.

The GPS in the car was indicating that the cache was further into the park so I ended up parking further away than was necessary.

Our first scout of the area discounted the actual hide location as that type of hide is frowned upon by the wider caching community.

After discounting other likely spots it was Fangsoki who returned to find the cache hidden there.

A lovely little spot. I was tempted for a while to do a slide dive into the muddy catchment area but decided that would not be the best activity.

TFTC.

I was up in Brisbane today for Mum 's birthday took her to lunch at North Lakes Golf Club, where I was telling her about my new hobby, geocaching. On the way back home to her pace, I dropped in to a couple of caches to demonstrate what it is about. This was a quick park and grab and while it is probably doesn't show off geocaching at its best, it served its purpose, and we enjoyed a few minutes taking in the pond and the highway from the viewing platform.

Thanks for bringing me here Team Connelly, and for providing me with my first Qld smiley.

19-Jun-14
Just back around the corner from the last find and as I pulled up I really did not like what I saw. One of the places I don't really like going looking around on.

Anyway I took a look anyway and was able to quickly spy the container, I retrieved it and got the log signed, things back in place and took a little look at the Highway view consider that was the name of this little hide. Soon though back on the road and chasing the next find.

I received a phone call from egginthesky asking what I was doing this evening. She had to wait around for a few hours after work before picking up a housemate from the airport at 1am. Would I like to grab a few caches? I think the answer is yes Smile

This time it was my turn to be blind with the cache container. I didn't look too far because it seemed to be against the hint but egginthesky did some voodoo magic and the cache was there when she looked Razz We retrieved the logbook and signed our names before replacing the cache as found. Thanks for the cache Team Connelly

Out on the other side of Pine River to grab as many of the local unfound caches as I can as I head towards a milestone. I dropped by this one and spent a fair amount of time searching what ended up being all the wrong places. I did give the hide location cursory look, but clearly not a very good one. Eventually I resorted to reading all the logs and then it was a simple grab. Just in time too as I'd only just returned it when the nearby swimming hole became occupied.

Thanks for placing this cache, Team Connelly. Found in good condition.

I thought the cache would be where it was so I made it a quick find so as not to arise any suspicion in case someone thought “What’s he up to?” To be safe I retreated to the nearby seats for the log signing.
Definitely a nice little spot to view the highway.

Found at 0921 with Marg. A quick find. I was a bit concerned about the muggles in the property next store but it didn't appear to be home.. TFTC.

30-Dec-13
Well, there they were splashing around in their pool again, showing off to the peasants Razz . After reading the logs we knew we would need patience so sat and admired the muddy puddle and the passing traffic until the poor souls were wrinkled and decided to go inside. We quickly grabbed the cache and signed the log before returning it to its hidey hole. Tftc Team Connelly all is well with this cache Cool

Out today to place some new caches, stopped in here to get this one and its nearby partner. Not a quick find as GPS took us right past the spot, had to resort to logs for more info.

As observed by Team Benders, admired the mud pit for a while!

Found by Sunshine Toledo on 11-12-13 at 10:10am. Not the best place for a cache, I would have thought but it seems safe where it is. The cache was found after a few minutes search. TFTC

out to fill in a day on fasted's calender

read the logs on the way making for a nice quick easy find

Needed a cache for the day to fill in the calender without having to go too far due to being between shifts.

So quick trip up the highway for a nice quick find.

Nice hide.... Great view of the highway and muddy pond. Sat on rock wall to complete the log. TFTC

15-Nov-13
It's Freaky Friday with teamdfl again Big Grin Could be a very pretty spot here, but the pond was a little murky Sad We searched all over before we realised where the cache had to be. Wasn't too comfortable searching here, but teamdfl spotted it pretty quickly. TFTC, Team Connelly.

15-Nov-13
I was so busy looking for the cache that I did not even see the cars on the highway. It was moving quite well for this time on a Friday afternoon. We looked a lot of places that the cache was not. After reading some logs I also decided to look where it really ought not to be.

12-Nov-13
I wandered into the park and sat and enjoyed the surroundings.
Below is just a mud pit.
Could have been made into a nice pond.
The area at the corner is nice though with the grevilleas in flower, along the path.
Had to wait for the muggles next door to get out of the pool and this they did in about 10 minutes, so the area was free to hunt.
Soon had the prize in hand.
TNLNSL TFTC Thanks Team Connelly Cool All good with this cache

12-Nov-13
Looked and looked far too long for a 2D cache. Then Seeker held up the prize. I guess of all the available places to hide a cache, we probably wouldn't have gone for this option (on this structure). Maybe that is just us. I run past here twice a week and fail to notice this park. Maybe too puffed! TFTC

2TF, in the middle of working out some puzzles when the phone went off. Ok, this is Nyssaflutterby's back yard but you can never tell what she is up to so we jump in the car. Get to GZ and the GPS wanted us in the bushes but we knew not to go there. Soon had the cache in our hands.

Well done Nyssaflutterby for FTF.

*FTF* @ 8.14 pm

I had just sat down at the computer to log a few caches from the weekend when the notification for this one came through. Ah ha, another cache close to home, even closer than the other night! Well don't mind if I do Smile I grabbed the keys for Spangle and was zooming to GZ in a flash. When I arrived I thought I may be finding another cache like the one around the corner, but after a thorough search I couldn't see anything. Hmmm, I looked around the area and noticed a likely structure that could hide a cache. On closer inspection I spotted the beasty, I opened up the log to find that I had once again won the FTF race. Insert happy cacher dance!
