I found this geocache today whilst wearing my Sunday best. I had a lovely dinner at the new Pasta Restaurant on the strand with my ladies and a quick park and grab after. Had to act like a muggle due to a couple pulling in their car. They moved on quickly. TFTC.

Visiting Townsville for the first time today. I have a few hours before night falls and I have decided to find a cache. Arrived at GZ and it did not take long to find the cache. TFTFC Danzfox

Caching in and around Townsville and surrounds we picked up a few caches and this was one of them.

Found in the obvious spot. Cache and contents were in good condition.

Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

TFTC Placed new log in cache & signed that, as all bits of paper/logs are deteriorating & full, some are even rusted. The older logs are still in the cache though. Nice park & grab. RAF.

We assumed where the cache would be as be drove up to it but, you guessed it, we were wrong. Hubby found the cache further away, on retrieval the ants that are living in the cache container ran everywhere.
The lid does not want to stay on the container and the log book is full and soggy.

Kids footy day...

Away for work and had a decision to make, spend the evening on the pc, or go out Ad do some local treasure hunting? Hmmmm. It’s been 15 years since I was last here as a backpacker on my initial arrival to Aus, so some fond memories of the area and good times spend. A large variety of hides today, mainly drivebys and short walks but a pleasant way to see the sites and get some fresh air. Thanks to all the CO’s for all their effort. Thanks for the fun.

After reading the description, was at GZ almost immediately. A quick look at a very likely hiding place and the prize was in hand.

Cache is still dry but might need a new log bag. Looked a bit worn and unfortunately did not have a spare with us

Day 8 - the last full day of the Crooked clan's biennial trip to Townsville to visit the rellies for a tropical Christmas.

Visiting Townsville with time on hand so decided to track along to this cache in the vicinity of my hotel. Beautiful area with lots of barking dogs as I moved along the streets. Arrived in the park area with lots of youngsters enjoying soccer training not too far away, but far enough not to pay any attention to me. Coords were pretty good and quickly placed be between two possible hiding places, one down and other to go. Lots of little crawling things made me regret leaving my gloves behind, but drive on and there it was. Signed log and returned. TFTC Danzfox.

We left a cold SA about three weeks ago and have finally found some warmth.

I was in Townsville for a family holiday and went out for an afternoon walk by myself enjoying the scenery and the lovely weather. My Mothers family owned several businesses in this area back in the 1930's and 1940's and according to my uncle the family drunk in every pub.
My last night in Townsville and the family thought I had been patient not geocaching the whole time.... so we went on a night caching adventure just to get a few more...

12:01:00 PM. In town for my Port induction so decided to grab some caches. Unfortunately my time got cut short. Grabbed this one to drop off a small trackable. Log was full so left a sheet of notebook paper signed. Quick find on a quiet day.Thanks Danzfox for the cache.
