Heading down the Forgotten Highway so thought we'd check to see if this was still there. Found just the lid wired to the tree.

Found just the wire and the lid of the box, probably destroyed. Thanks and greetings from Germany

decided to take the forgotten highway route back to the Eastern Bay of Plenty. Threw a few gpx files on the gps and off iI went. This was the first stop, and a quick find TFTC
Big caching day out with tmann421 ... 20 hours ... 1005 kilometres ... 76 caches ... Wairarapa ... Taranaki ... Wairarapa
I left home at 3am and meet up with tmann in Sanson to be chauffeured around the ‘Naki. We spent a lot of time zig zagging around to bottom of the mountain on the way to New Plymouth, and then we looped around to the north and back down through Stratford. We drove a lot of roads we hadn’t been on before, saw some amazing sights and had a good time. We even had time to do a few caches in Wanganui on the way home.
Thanks for all the caches placed for us to find.

#909 - This is our last one on the trip on the forgotten highway. It was also a quick grab in a ghost-town. TFTC.

Popped down from New Plymouth after dinner to score this one. It was getting dark, the batteries in the GPSr were dying and that, combined with the cloud cover, had me almost on the road. The geoNose took over, and soon had the log in hand after a last ray of light lit up an un-tree-like object.
Thanks for the cache.
Thanks for the cache.
No 1 for the day. Lovely little spot. Had chat with a very informative local couple. Never been here before. Must keep an eye open for the grand reopening of the local pub which will be a bistro. SL. TFTC
Yay, FTF! This took a little searching, but I found it. My first FTF on the North Island, and third in New Zealand (1 X South Island & 1 X Chatham Islands). TFTC. A favourite tick.
