#14908 13:00Third time lucky! But not before I needed to PAF twice. So stupid I was not able to find this one without help. Initially the signpost put me off from entering.TFTC
Thanks for bringing us to this great spot! A very tricky hide too, previous logs and some dexterity required to avoid the obvious prohibition but a successful retrieval after a few false starts.
I love the Ritz. It's a great cinema. Thanks for bringing me back here and TFTC.
Solved a long time ago. Used a break in between lecture classes to go an collect this cache. Thanks Gullightly for placing the cache.
Still there! Figured this one out yesterday and then came with Afrobug today to hunt it out. Tftc
I grabbed some photos of the clues last week when I was nearby and did the calculations at home so that I could make a quick find today. I didn’t really trespass…. Not really. Cache in good condition. TFTC
Found the approximate place of the cache quickly due to info from past logs, looked around, didn’t realise I had the cache in hand already! Nice one. TFTC!
In Sydney for work so night times mean caching. Main target are LGAs not before visited so I am learning the train network!
Today though a coffee shop nearby brought me here and I studied the photos of the stars I had peviously taken. 3 tries due to typos and GZ was identified. Nearly gave up but a previous log gave me an idea and bingo.. ironically what I had thought it may be.
Thanks to gullightly for the placement and fun.

Just when I thought this was getting a little too tough, there it was.
A little single at first though, miscounting letters but made the right correction and decided to use the checker.
All is in good shape

gullightly I found your cache Australian film walk of fame on 5/1/21, 1:50 pm. This is my find 2881 and find # 6 today. Had this puzzle solved some time back. Reached GZ for a quick find. Thanks for the cache, mate! TNSLLN
Maybe things have changed since original publication, I can see the last time this was signed was back in feb and I can kinda see why. Although, you can move the obvious obstruction and not set foot over the threshold of “trespassing” log signed and on to the next one. Tftc
Solved this one a while ago but never had the chance to grab the cache. Today after some brunch we decided to continue our walk and swung past this one. Arms were too short so had to navigate a hazard but soon had cache in hand. TFTC
Enjoyed a pleasant walk yesterday evening to collect all the necessary information on the stars. Solved the puzzle and the coordinates checked out. This evening I headed out to the GZ as the light was fading. I was pleasantly surprised to locate the cache without too much searching. A very cunning hide! TFTC The puzzle was lots of fun!
Have spent many nights here at the Banff Film Festival. Some great eateries as well.
Teamed up with my grumpy pal, for an after hours expedition to the deep south of Sydney. This proved to be a lengthy search. Baktrak made the clever and unexpected find. But yes it would be challenging to collect this without going past the fence.

We solved the coordinate, but we were unable to find the cache . So disappointed
We've patronised the excellent eateries near this lovely theatre a few times and on one visit, months ago, I'd taken the opportunity to grab some pics to work out the numbers. PPE and I landed at GZ in fading light and after searching left , high and on that side of the fence, we finally spotted the well-blended container. Thanks gullightly.
Love The Spot and the Ritz. Oldmorty and I can be seen here on a cheap Tuesday when there’s a good movie showing.
We were there last Tuesday and I collected the info required.
Today I went in search of the cache. Had to go inside as I was unable to reach that far.

Realised I had done the legwork on this cache over 2yrs ago so went straight to GZ for a quick find after noticing some popular camo. TFTC!

Another Monday, another Whovians taping... Great fun in the ABC studio at Ultimo and it's good that the cast usually talks to the audience after the taping. I discussed "Are You Smarter Than A Fifth Grader" with Rove... Anyhoo, afterwards headed a bit south for a few caches.
Got two but was muggled out of another. Then home to see that an audience shot that went to air was centred on the back of my head!
###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###
After being muggled out at the tennis court I came for this one. I knew one answer and quickly grabbed the other information (one I wasn't 100% sure about seemed right). Then went to a bench to crunch the numbers.
With the Geochecker OK on the first try, I headed to GZ.
Checked a few logical / usual spots. Nope. Hmmm. Stopped searching and had a thought as a school kid walked past, and then spotted something. I wonder...
Gotcha!
Signed a short distance away, then back for the replace.

Had a tough time at GZ and gave up many times. Watched the clock ticking from being mega early for work to being late for early before starting. Curiosity if anything, helped me find this one, thanks gullightly
I tried "the internet" option and was sure I had all the details to have GZ. But the checker kept saying no! A visit to the plaques today confirmed some of my answers were correct, but also made me aware of the little mistakes I was making. And with that, the checker said YES.
Off to GZ as it was getting darker, but I was reluctant to go paste that sign, fearing I was breaking some law. But it was so close, and a smiley was at stake. At my first attempt, I missed it but another look with the torch and I spotted a familiar camo object. So fortunately it wasn't to be a Walk Of Shame. Nice puzzle. TFTC

We came to The Spot to meet a former colleague for lunch but were very early so we checked for local caches and this one looked doable.
After working out the coordinates over a coffee at Bat Country we took a pleasant stroll to GZ where YGAT found the cache while I was floundering about in the wrong place.
Good one, thanks gullightly.

With my interest in film, I loved doing this one. I also enjoyed the walk to GZ and the excellent hide.

Sign threw me so I stood here for a bit then read some other logs. Went rebel and had the cache in hand, but didn't realize it right away and looked behind it. LOL! Great cache - thanks so much for the screen history lesson.
Working nearby this afternoon and had a bit of spare time to get out and grab some caches that we'd previously solved. TFTC!

Found -- 11:32:00 AM -- SL Thanks for the hunt and Thanks for bringing us here to this location gullightly.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**The Cache**
Cache in good condition. Managed to solve this ages ago but usual to my custom is to return on another occassion to make the find. I had looked the coordinates up so I *'thought'* I had a good idea of where to look, but this turned out to be incorrect. *Little Kitten* laid eyes on it almost immediately as we had seen this kind of hide before. Nice cache and hide I really liked it, thank you. A fav point, and a very fitting 1,500th cache find.
**The Day**
Having been appointed airport chauffers by the neighbour of a friend, we set off for the *Big Smoke*. First stop was the airport and then Caching, Woo hoo, a perk of the job [^]. I'd planned 1 Waymark and 16 Caches, and all but a couple were found and another couple of multis half attempted. Although I had a fairly fun day with the places we went, I didn't have as fantastic a day as I normally would in *the Country* [^]. The locations were fantastic and the caches were fantastic, and even though it was hot and very muggy, the heat wasn't too bad, but I seriously *HATE*[:(!] city traffic, noise, traffic lights and being in gridlock. I actually found Brisbane far better than Sydney for all of that. The day ended with a highlight that lifted the spirits. We arrived at a cache filled with leaves which we thought was a prank. Turns out it was full of mice which scampered everywhere and made *Little Kitten* and I scream a few times as they tried to clamber up our legs and over our bare feet. One came and sat at the back of my heel. I'm not scared of mice, I was a farm kid and saw many of them, I like mice. Screaming is just a reaction to surprise.

This was the puzzle I ever solved but couldn't find the cache. Finally, after another attempt I finally got a hint and have avenged my DNF!!! The only thing sweeter than DNF revenge is ice cream. Thanks vk2df for your help. Cache #147 TFTC
Solved the puzzle last year and DNFed it. Came back for revenge and still can't find it I even messaged co like his note said and he never got back to me. Can anyone give me a hint?
Decided on an early departure for work today (afternoon shift) to divert via the Eastern Suburbs and have a look at some caches at Randwick, South Coogee, Maroubra and Little Bay. This was the 1st of 4 finds for today.
This one was to be my first stop, parking the geomobile in Perouse Road and then walking up to the grand old Ritz cinema and the Australian Film Walk of Fame. Strolled along the footpath, identified the required personalities, and noted down the required information. Having never seen any of that famous movie series I was initially confused by the name of the person to be found, but then the penny dropped and I found the required plaque. And with all the required info recorded, and the final coords derived, I was off to final GZ.
Arrived at final GZ and started looking in all of the most likely spots, but came up empty handed. Then read some logs and soon realised that there was another area that I was able to access, which quickly resulted with CIH. It's a very familiar bit of caching camo, but it blends in very nicely here. TNLNSL, and then replaced as found.
Thanks gullightly for bringing me to the historic old Ritz cinema with it's Australian Film Walk of Fame, and for the cache.

Watched quite a few movies at the Ritz while attending UNSW 20+ years ago. Cool to see the Walk of Fame. Collected the clues and then crunched the numbers while enjoying a coffee at a nearby cafe. Decided to drive to GZ as the weather was a bit unpleasant. The rain was good for keeping the muggles away but it still didn't help me make the find. Only upon reading the logs did I work up the courage to disobey the sign. Still took a few minutes and then found it in a place I was looking for all along. Really glad I stuck with it.

That was a bit of fun and a reasonably quick find, which was a nice surprise. I think the calcs took longer than the find. TFTC gullightly.
Solved the puzzle, got the coordinates and found GZ but couldn't find the cache. Contacted CO to get a hint
Second trial was a quick find! I wonder why I didn't notice that first time. Thanks for the cache gullightly!
Inspired by my geofriends that I should find one cache on leap day! So I went to this one after work. I have worked out the GZ before but today just couldn't find it. I saw one log today (also one cache on leap day) and then I think log a DNF is also memorable:). Will try next time!
Was looking for a cache to mark with a leap-day entry, and found this one! Thanks for a great puzzle cache, and its final resting location. (Be careful not to lose the miniature cache-guardian like I almost did!)
Only 25 finds in 2 years. Hmmm, I usually am not fond of puzzle caches, but I came to this cinema last night to see "The Dressmaker" and got all the clues and the geochecker GREEN LIGHT. However as it was late last night, I waited till Sunday to approach the GZ. My GPSR was a few meters off from any logical location, so I read previous logs and realised it was a little further on. Unfortunately I went much too far and struggled, so after 20 min, decided to go closer to original location and after interpreting a previous log came up with the goods. TFT puzzle Cache gullightly.
Wow! Thanks for helping out with my fitness program! I went to the posted coordinates expecting to find clues, you know stars I got an unexpected night off, so what to do? Cache of course! Being involved in theatre myself I of course was attracted to this one. First time I have used the checker and I'm glad I did since I forgot to add in one little part, TWICE I actually had the cache in hand while looking for it Saw one of these the other day, and thought this would be perfect, then passed on it. I'm going back to get one, and it's going back to the states with me
Thanks for the little journey near where we live! My son loves the geocaching and I also enjoy the walk and challenge. Second time lucky and needed a hint, as we are new to all this and were looking for something completely different. Well done on this sneaky geocache!
I'd collected the WP info a while ago but sat on the coords today until I was back in area on foot.
Once at GZ it took a while before I realised I could "go there" but once I did it was just a matter of angles.

(386) Did the required research, and was tempted to take a break from caching and duck in to see a film. But kept going and, after 20 minutes of looking and waiting for muggles, I found it. Nice little hide that had me scratching my head. The cache was in good condition.
Tks again gullightly. Fave pt for this one as I'm a big fan of Aussie Cinema and I liked the puzzle and the hide. In fact, if you're ever in the ACT, there are some Aussie film puzzles on the north side.

Found this one in the Ron with geo buddy AlphaDeltaIndigo. Initially tried the internet to get the info.. I was close, but no cigar.. Quickly drove back around the corner and fixed the co-ords.

Ahhh!!!! Finally found this one!
Ok so the finally really means this:
On a nearly rainy night, pk and i set out to find the final coords! Hurriedly we grabbed the answer to D and went over to the calculated gz without checking geochecker. Spent about 10 mins on gz looking in the wrong areas too....I did a quick check on checker and found that pappa P had not calculated something! Asked him what.. And he said : dunno!
Drove back to quickly find the right information... Did a google search for the answer to B and pappa P did not count the rest of the necessary information and were short by a small number ! Coords check gave us green so we were in the right area !
Remember i said nearly rainy? Well it started pouring as soon as we got back to gz! Lucky for me, Pk is a sailor and has waterproof jackets ! He grabbed his and i grabbed his other one to go looking...but mine wasnt waterproof so i stayed in the car while he looked and rain poured like mad! Just as it got less, i hopped out and went to help! This was where i steal pk's cache blindness and he makes a find! Yes we have seen this one before!

Thinking we would save time on the ground, I tried to answer all the questions from home before travelling here. But I couldn't find the answer to one question! Along the walk all the answers were waiting for us and I needn't have wasted my time researching before hand!
It was dark and raining by the time Jono_9 and I reached GZ. After pausing for a moment we proceeded and soon found the cache. Nice hide and an interesting visit to the walk of fame. Thanks gullightly.

In Sydney for the Canberra day long weekend staying at Coogee beach with the Geoparents, we decided to pick some caches up in the area.
Solved this one while back home and decided to go for the find tonight. Searched high and low at the GZ but no cigar. So contacted the CO for some help. Well we were in the right place but not being locals had no idea where we needed to be wasn't on private property. Quick find in the end and no clue how we missed it in the first time.-

Quite enjoyed this one. I never knew the Australian Film Walk of Fame existed until now so thanks for introducing this. After gaining the co-ords and getting confirmation from GeoCheck, I made my way to GZ. After searching in what looked like obvious spots, I glanced over and saw something suspicious. I didn't realise I could get it at first but soon had CIH. Signed logged and placed back in its resting place. TFTC gullightly
Hurray! I missed out on doing this cache with team special before so got team special to show me GZ today. Afterwards we walked up the "walk to nowhere". That was random!
Happy Australia Day! Skyeho and I got bored at uni so we went on a geodate, worked out the coordinates (after a couple of tries - who knew we couldn't count...) and then had some cake before embarking on the cache find. Thanks for the fun puzzle gullightly!
After viewing "The Desolation of Smaug" I felt that a cinema related GC was in order. Love your puzzles gullightly and another ingenious hide. TFTC.
Well it turned out to be not as easy as I tought. Had a nice stroll from hospital to the cinema this morning, collected all the info and walked back, just to be back in time. Once I put all the info together, I couldn't get a green light? Decided to give the CO a quick mail and he replied extreme quick! Yes I didn't have a look at it that way! Quit tricky actually. In the afternoon I had another hour to spend so of to make a fun but familiar find.

24/11/13. 8:53 AM. Cache #1089. *FTF* Clearing out new caches from the Eastern Suburbs after another FTF at Sydney Uni. My first try here, about 2 hours ago, was unsuccessful. I got the clues and the green light from geocheck, but couldn't find it. I left empty-handed and headed off to find a few more (By The Bay V2, Banksia buddy and Boralee Park). I was about to go find a pair of newies at the airport when a hint came my way (now also added to the cache), so I turned around and headed back for an easy find. And the log was still empty, so I had my 2nd FTF of the day! Thanks for a great multi slash puzzle, gullightly and for getting me to the walk of fame - never knew it was there! Have a fave point!

Debated increasing difficulty or putting a hint. And I hate not finding tricky caches so went with a hint. Hopefully this helps although I did think this hide was hard but good
