Found during an early morning geocaching session trying to beat the incoming weather. I am down in Christchurch because my wife (aka NZDi) is in hospital after complications with her spinal surgery three weeks ago. It is not visiting hours yet, so I have time to do a bit of caching this morning I am carrying on from where I am up to on this trail which I have done over two previous visits to Christchurch. I had do a few of the middle ones on the two previous visits, then yesterday did eight from the Halswell Road end. This morning I was hoping to finish off the last four, but the weather meant a scramble up a bank into wet scrub means I will have to come back when everything is dry for the last one.
Like the previous find, GZ ended up being about 7m back from where c:geo initially indicated it was and once c:geo settled down it was another QEF

Who's Dray?
Well, you tell me!
Cycling back home from work from Templeton today - at last a perfect opportunity for these cycleway caches!

Day one of my Canterbury weekend. I enjoyed a mixture of urban and rural caching this afternoon. TFTC
Last one of the day - I had been to find a nearby solved puzzle and looked fort his cache on the way back. Rincewind3's repairs have held up well and all is in order.
Thanks for placing & maintaining this cache, BMAC0625.

A quick find on the way home from a night shift (found about 6.15am).
The log paper has obviously been damp in the past. It's dry now, but fragile. The log was screwed up in the bag so I straightened the pages out and rolled it properly before popping it back in the container. The cache is now snug in its hidey-hole (& upright).

I maintained the momentum with another nice easy find here as part of an enjoyable evening walk.
4 July 2017 19:38. Found the boundary mark easy enough... also a jar full of paprika, a roll of gladwrap, a box of snap lock bags, a single sock and a magazine! Almost, but not quite missed the cache but found in the last sweep before leaving. TFTC BMAC0625
Clurbee's GPS hadn't quite settled when I saw a likely gz for this one and soon had the cache in hand. Log signed and cache replaced as found.
Out hunting with Bumbly2. 3/1 to her. Should have trusted my instincts not the gps and gone for the boundary. Tftc
#12757. Last of four finds today to bring the July 22 total up to 11. A quick find and a nice easy find. TFTC.
Out with the decoy dog for a walk and picked this spot as were a few greens to turn into smiles. Tftc
A nice day out for a ride, and finally getting around to a few Christchurch caches. Nice to have a bit of variety. Thanks.
This bike ride was full of innovative caches, thanks to those who placed and maintained them!
Scooted and biked to these caches today. Geo Jessie & I found with no problems. TFTC
Long time dream came true and we could visit New Zealand. NZ Mega was our maingoal and we had time to find others too. We travelled together with Veke68, Katsukka and tanjuli (+husband) and had great time. We used TVVK Fin (that is tanjuli, vipema, Veke68 and Katsukka) in mostly logbooks to save space.
Thanks for the cache.
Greetings from Finland.

Greetings from Finland.
Day #5 geocaching in NZ in good company (=tanjuli + husband, vipema, Veke68 & Katsukka = TVVK-FIN in the logbooks, most of the time), back in Christchurch & surroundings. Had a great time despite the rain and found a lot of caches + saw so many interesting/beautiful places.
Thank you!!!!
Thank you!!!!
Mega trip to NZ with vipema, Veke68 and Katsukka, day 5. We found tons of caches and had a blast. We logged as TVVKFIN to save log books. Thanks for the fun and greetings from Finland.
Caching holiday in New Zealand with Tanjuli, Vipema and Katsukka continues and now again in Christchurch.
Rainy day but still we found lot of nice caches.
We logged only TVVK-FIN to save space in the logbook.
Thanks!!

Visiting Christchurch for the MEGA, and was staying another couple of days with friends, near Halswell
Borrowed one of their bikes and headed of for the Motorway cycle path and other caches on way back.
Weather wasn't the best, but didn't get past a heavy drizzle, which cleared up around mid day.
Thank yiou everone for you cache hideing. Have enjoyed my visit, managed some of the touristy things, inbetween caching TFTC

Following the GPS Pointer we spotted GZ from a fair way out as we arrived the light drizzle was developing into rain so we quickly extracted the log, signed and returned as found then scarpered back to our near by vehicle to write this.

Had bought the bike up with me for the Mega, so thought I'd better give it a run! Thanks.
Dusted of the bike for a nice ride around ChCh great way to explore before he Mega gets to busy. thanks for the cache
Out caching today with OrionJ with no particular plan. NIce quick grab with good coords..Thank you purdiepurdie for placing and maintaining this cache.
[green] A late start today - I had to pick up my car (all four cylinders working now, yay!) and catch up with a fellow cacher at Uni, so my second find was not till about 10:30. Despite that I still met my objective - 40 caches in one day, and all by bike! The highlight was the Back to the Future event and having a go on a hoverboard! (sort of).
Out with THE GREEN GECKOS, caching our way from an event in the city this morning through some of the suburbs and finishing at the evening event.
Continuing along on our walk and there was a few possible spots to take a look over here. Soon though the cache was found without much trouble and the log was signed.

Today we decided to get out and hit the cycle way for the first time - despite the cold weather. teamelliottfamily were well and truly rugged up against the elements. Jnr was very confident on his balance bike and I had little miss with me in the baby bike seat. Mrs TEF womanned the technology and off we set.
Second to last find for the day - my fingers were starting to get a bit chilly. The exploration team was off their bikes and found the hide pretty quickly. I think they were really getting ethe hang of it.

Today was one of 28 remaining days when I only have 2 finds on that calandar day... so time to attempt 2 if possible!!
I had late meetings today, and so wasn't gonna bother tackling the traffic out to Kaiapoi now. So decided to go for a swim, and find a cache along the way somewhere.
There are 2 very nearby to here, so I picked here as a place I could get more than 1 without too much effort.
Sure enough, this ended up being a very quick grab!!

I don't know. GPS took me to same place everytime. Had a good look around, no luck. I'll try later... cheers
We have been slacking a bit this month so headed out for a bit of a walk and to start tackling the many caches placed along the motorway. Thanks!

I was on my way to do the Motorway series of caches today but ended up finding 36 caches on my 25 km walk. It was only a couple of steps off the tarmac to find this in a clear hiding spot.

Tftc, this was a lovely walk, thought we'd get a few done and despite the broiling temperatures, various hilarious injuries from general clumsiness, we had a great time before calling the chauffeur to bring us home to play in the garden sprinklers and plan our next foray.

After missing my turn off on the Southern Motorway, I had to drive to the end and found myself at the start of the Southern Motorway cycle trail. What's a geocacher to do but to turn this episode into a caching opportunity and finish the remaining section of the geocache trail. With just one bar showing of my batteries' power, and no spares with me, no sun hat and no water bottle either, I was ill-prepared. But I was game to continue until either the batteries died, or the effects of the sun were too much. I can happily report that neither happened and was able to find all the caches on this section.
A very quick find as the cache was just laying there in the open. Tucked it away a little better with some natural camo on top. TFTC.
