This cache location has been pulled down for upgrades to the park as a result of the rebuilding of the exhibition centre to open next year.
This cache will return once the area is reopen.
This cache will return once the area is reopen.
Cache relocation will occur. There is no need for archiving. Some ppl need to calm down and maybe email the CO before calling for archiving. Thanks.
GZ is completely fenced-off due to construction of the new Convention Centre. Cache is definitely gone and site won't be accessible until late 2016.
Cant through to GZ because full of circle fence as there are workmen for building... Waste of cachers time to visit to location...
Should be archive

I logged this cache recently and can confirm that it is now located behind the barricades...
Is the cache still there, it looks like the area is fenced off, or is that just my gps. Can you please check if it can still be reached ~c*c
I believe this cache is temporarily inaccessible. Was trying to reach the GZ tonight, though big wooden walls have been erected around the perimeter of Tumbalong Park. Not sure if this is due to construction work or for Vivid, but nonetheless, I could not find and entrance.
Searched long and hard with a dissapointed 9 year old today.... Did not want to put hands in dark places.... Not easy
Cache check still in place. At the origionsl location.
Extra hint. You cannot see this cache you need to feel don't think use your instincts.

I had two attempts at this one, but couldn't search properly either time.
First attempt was lunch time - quite silly really, condsidering that half the population of Sydney seemed to be sitting on the steps eating.
The second time was around 4pm and the place was deserted as I approached, but then two chaps appeared from nowhere, leaned against the wall under the shade of the tree and started smoking. They were still there half an hour later, so I gave up.
I'm not calling a DNF since I didn't search, but a note seems appropriate.
ThanksGoughy2012 for putting the cache here.
We will return!

Had a good look about but were a bit unwilling to put our hands into smalll/dark places as not familiar with the local spider populations and where they hang out.
After trying several times in the heavy rain we were able to find this gem before the rains came again, with a hint from the CO. This kept our consecutive streak alive at 245 days in our quest to fill the calendar. TFTC Great job on maintenance. I have not seen the plastic logs before, great for rain.
Hand full of scattered recent DNF and a request for help with this cache lead me to a cache check. I am happy to report this cache is in place. The cache cannot be seen you must feel for it.
Happy caching

Tried this twice in the rain with no luck. The only thing we found was a big brown spider and a rat.
Tried to find earlier. Too many muggles. Came back after imax flick. Muggled by a ranger who sniggered and said "getting warmer". MigueenAust found it! TFTC! No pen, so photo log.
I am are currently in Sydney for a romantic weekend with my wife. But that wasn't the original plan. Was coming up from Melbourne to go to the top gear festival. Unfortunately after Jeremy Clarksons hissy fit we had a changed of plans and so here I am geocaching Instead, couldn't get where close to this cache this morning as it was all barricade up, we went to the Chinese gardens for a few hours and when we came out the fencing was all being packed up so I was able to find cache. Sl thanks Goughy2012
The park is all barricaded off and they are setting up for an event. We will have to come back for this one.
Whilst relatively muggle free, dusk and a child needing to use the loo meant we didn't get to have a proper look for this one.
Spent ages at GZ with two lovely Rangers who came to my aid. But alas, we could not find it .
Quite dirty to search around GZ, but did not spend much time to grab it.
Greetings from HK! TFTC!

Had a pretty good search around all the aircon structure but sadly nothing found
Found at 9:40pm with Nush89.
I recently had an unsuccessful attempt at this cache a couple of weeks ago on Pi Day. Today I returned with Nush89 and a couple of friendly helpers to put the smiley on this one after a nice dinner over at the Blackbird Café.
I had a lot of difficulty last time with the vast number of muggles loitering around the general area of GZ. There was a Chinese girl listening to her headphones on the concrete wall facing the park, who kept turning her head left and right to see what I was up to. She expressed a slight frown on a couple of occasions to which I reciprocated with a frown of frustration as I was having no luck.
After a 20 minute search I decided I was making no grounds but tonight was a different story as I was lead to an area about 4 or 5 metres from where I had originally concentrated my hunt.
We made the find within a couple of minutes and proceeded to sign the log.
Thanks for the cache Goughy

Some of the photos helped - but others were unhelpful because the container has changed! TFTC.
Well sadly, I was not able to find this one today while transiting through old Sydney town. There were a couple of muggles who mostly seemed disinterested in what I was doing, but there was also some 'building' materials stacked against one side of the structure I wanted to explore. Before I knew it, my friend was telling me we were late for the train and I had to hightail it out of here. I'm sorry Travel Bug Dog Tag didn't get to find anything in NSW, but we did have a nice walk in the park.
Finally found this one on the third visit in the first place I originally looked. Thanks to the CO for replacing it.
I had a bit of spare time prior to a meeting at darling Harbour so I couldnt resist "The Hunt"
Success for this cache came whilst wandering over to the coffee shop near McDonalds.

Third visit since this cache was replaced and still no luck. This time I was challenged by an eagle eyed security ranger, despite my best attempts at stealth. I am perplexed as to where the cache is hiding.
Think i found where it used to be! Exact spot as per other photos! Dont bother... this one should be removed.
I work here, so I thought it was about time I checked to see if there are an caches about...
Went back for another look just after midnight when it was quite. If it's supposed to still be there then it's beaten me twice. I'm basing my search on the west side and photos especially the photo showing the cache with the girl in pink as the other side is almost always barricaded off. Looking forward to this one being found and re activated so I can get it off my to do list.
Yes should be disabled until it is restored as it has been missing since 8th December (two months) and CO's last comment was over a month ago. People are still searching for it unless they read the logs first. It's very frustrating searching for something that is not there as you don't want to give up if you think you may just be cache blind. It's better to just disable it until fixed.
I will assume GeoKidAdventure meant disable as opposed to archive. No need to archive when CO has already stated he will check on return.
This cache has been missing for a long time and should be archived until the CO has time to check it. Otherwise people are just wasting their time.
I'll wait until someone else logs a find then come back and try again. Luckily there was no-one around so I could get on my hands and knees and look. But no luck.
This is my first DNF! With all the DNFs in the recent log the CO definitely needs to confirm it is still there otherwise it should be archived. There were some workmen setting up an event on the other side of the potential GZ which was roped off so I could not check there but the co-ordinates indicated an area with no cache at all. Confirmation of its continued existence is needed!
Will do a cache check when I return to work in a few weeks as I'm on leave and not returning to the city till work resumes.
If it's on the back side facing Chinatown & the CBD, then I'd have to come back for this one cuz it's completely blocked off by the metal barricades that were stacked up to be put away. Must b an after NY thing.
But if it's facing the big field,
Then I think this cache might have gone missing. I tried the hints & it certainly was nowhere to be found either...
After looking at several logs "DNF"s then I realize maybe it really is gone... Hope CO can gelap clear things up so we can make another comeback!

Could the cache owner check this one otherwise it wastes a lot of people's time if it has been muggled.
I think GZ was still fenced off after New Years Eve. I got to within 17m but couldn't go any further. Might be back.
Could see by previous logs what I was looking for and where but after a good long search ended up empty handed. Will wait for a new "found it" before returning for another look.
Streak Day # 507 - quick find after a bday party. TFTC
Corrected date as it was just after midnight when found

I'd actually found this almost exactly a year ago but didn't log it at the time. I did think I had logged it later, but no matter, here I was again today. A newer log but full to overflowing. Scratched my name in a tiny space at the top of the sheet. TFTC.
Two mugglers sat where we wanted to search. But after a while, they were more interested feeding a ibis with potatoes.By the way, Ibis does not like beer!
Then a couple came our way and pointed out we might be wrong and giuded us a bit. Then it was an easy find. But then two harbour rangers were aproaching us. Of course we told them what we were doing and we also got a small hint for the next box. they had wagely heard of our hobby and had som questions on the matter.

First find of the day. A beautiful park. We got a little help from another couple who knew where it was hidden. Also had a nice chat with two Rangers that observed what we were doing. Thank you for the cache.
Had to wait for about 7 smokers to have a break. Too bad they had to ruin the atmosphere with their poison. Fun cache otherwise. Noticed it right away. It's got trouble gripping and falls a bit into sight. Tftc
Went on a 3 day school trip and managed to sneak in 9 geocaches along the way!
This one took a while to find since we were searching on the wrong side for a while, but after we figured it out it was found. Thanks!

Found with cynlen and mack while on vacation in Australia from the United States (Richfield, Wisconsin). Thanks for the cache!
