Waypoint bit off but found it...went to see the musical last year....in Melbourne . Bye Mary ....
Love Mary Poppins, who knew the author was Australian Find #402 for us !
We are coming back in a few days to visit the Story Bank and spend a bit more time in Maryborough generally, but a lack of muggles at GZ as we were passing by this afternoon meant I had to quickly see if I could locate this cache while the coast was clear.Happily it was an insta-find, so after signing the log and replacing it as found we paid our respects to the supernatural Ms Poppins and made use of the customised pedestrian crossing lights here as we headed off once more. Thanks for the cache, Liz and Bruce!
On our Australian trip . After travelled from Darwin to Perth over the GRR, now on the Eastcoast .Starting from Cairns first headed up to Port Douglas, then back south direction to Sydney .After enjoying Airlie Beach, Platybus Camp and Bush Camp Broken River we visited my mothers cousin in Hervey Bay.We stopped in Marlborough for some caches .Cool everywhere Mary Poppins .TFTC# 17'923

Found after a quick search and had a fresh log in it. Thanks for the cache it's a great statue.
Sunday Arvo and all was quiet as the town had shut all the shops so it was easy to search for caches but Oh So Difficult to get a Photo of The Traffic Lights of Mary when she is Green as it changes back to Red so Quickly. I probably would have been run over if the traffic was busy because every time they went Green I ran out and had to focus the Picture and just as I did it went Red again. Took probably 15 goes. Just as well finding the Cache was easier. Thanks for the Fun.
Found whilst sightseeing around town. Cache easily found. Love Mary Poppins museum closeby.TFTC
Today we visited Maryborough. Unfortunatly we were there in the afternoon and this Museum was closed. But we could find the cache box quite easy. Thank you!
What a delight Maryborough is. We are only in town for one night so we are scooting around under the cover of darkness to see all the artworks and quirky things in the town. *The generic bit for this trip*We are on now on our way south after heading north for warmer weather. From Cooktown back to Notth East Victoria, weaving inland and to the coast, caching as we go. No real plans, just taking each day as it comes and enjoying the adventure in our converted ambulance. Thanks to all COs for placing and maintaining caches for our enjoyment.
Kiwisteve2 found while kimmy533 crawled around on the footpath.Very cool location! Here for a week exploring the area, grabbing caches and hanging out at Doon Villa.Tftc
Quick find while in the area . Signed log kingfisherau 8:05 am 8/6/2024 and replaced all as found,Liz and Bruce - TFTC.
Beautiful day to spend outdoors and grabbing caches. This was one of them. Love Mary Poppin.TFTC
In town to see friends and took the kids to see Mary. Picked up this one while there. Kutgw
Just passing through and had a few minutes to spare! Nice, quick find. Always loved this spot! TFTC.

Quick find while passing through today. Great statue, brought back childhood memories. TFTC!
We've just noticed maintenance work being carried out. Gz is not accessible for the time being. Sorry for any inconvenience.
Quick find here. Love your work.Freddo traveled north from deep south to catch up with friendly Liz and Bruce and the RV Home base crew. David Wazza provided a sturdy vehicle and we traveled in style. We had good weather. Not to hot. Not to rainy. Lovely one day and perfect the next. The caches were found in a blur of Which Is Next and Where Are We Going Now. Some caches were harder to find than others. Some caches we could see from the car. Regardless all caches were found in the last place we looked.I will apologize right now, because everything from here on is here solely for the purpose of padding the word count and winning that one hundred word diamond badge again. Somebody moved the goal posts. This particular geocache was found using one of the following GPS enabled devices, Garmin GPSr, Montana 680t, Oregon 650 or Dakota 20 and an Apple iPhone 11 using the marvelous Cachly app. Waypoints and paperless geocaching were downloaded via GSAK 9. Log prepared, checked and submitted using GSAK publish logs macro.Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun. Apologies for the generic part of the cache log. We do apologise for the generic logs. Thanks to all the cache owner for placing this cache here for our enjoyment. Thanks for the cache. Merci la cache. Danke fr den Cache. Gracias por el cach. What a lovely museum. Can highly recommend. And hats off (black boaters with flowers of course) to Maryborough City council who have created those street lights. What a wonderful spirited touch. Thanks for hiding the cache.
The geomonsters were getting a bit sick of being in the car, so only the one more cache before we go to Hervey Bay. We quickly found the cache and then spent some time looking around. I was very impressed by the traffic lights. Well done Maryborough for doing something a little different but quite cool ---Over a week ago we made a trip up to Yeppoon to visit family and some of the big things dotted around the state. On the way we stopped off at Noosa Heads (big pelican) and Maryborough before staying in Hervey Bay (big whales) for a couple of days to break up the journey. Whilst in Hervey Bay we went out on a glass bottomed boat and explored Big Woody Island and Round Island. Onwards again and we visited Childers, Gin Gin and got stuck in a crazy tailback a few kilometers from Miriam Vale (big crab, big donut and big Magpie). It would have been rude not to pick up a cache or two on our journey North. We visited Great Keppel and did some snorkeling (and Jack spotted a large sting ray), Emu Park to view the Singing Ship, Rockhampton (big bulls) to visit the zoo (which I wasn't too keen on) and just about every restaurant and coffee shop in Yeppoon. It's a lovely part of the world. On the way back home (boo) we visited the caves at Cania Gorge and stayed overnight at the retreat and then on to the Three Moons Silo Mural, Gayndah (big orange) and then onto the Bruce and straight back home.Thanks!!#3494
While staying in Maryborough for a few days with my geodog Scruffy , we just had to get out and find a few caches in this very interesting town ...
Thought would do this one late in day when less people about.
But oh no, cars at lights constantly. Took long to put back than find.
All Good .. TFTC ..

What a great cache. We stopped here to grab some lunch and we learnt so much about one of our favourite films. Thank you.
Having never been to Hervey Bay before, I arrived on 24th July after driving from Yass NSW (just outside of ACT). Here for a couple weeks and couldn’t miss the chance to pick up a couple of caches. It’s a great way to explore an area and go to places I may not have gone.
Today I decided to come for drive down at Maryborough for a look around. I couldn’t drive around without grabbing a few caches.
After stopping for a coffee and plate of chips at the Cozii Cafe I walked the short distance to GZ. I had no idea of the Mary Poppins connection to Maryborough. Very interesting.
As I approached GZ there was a couple, taking photos of their children climbing all over ‘Mary’. Took a seat and allowed the geo-pooch to have a drink waiting for them to leave. A quick find, log signed and returned.
Container and log in good condition.
Thanks for placing a cache here, I would never had taken the time to read all about the link if not for the cache. A favourite point from me.

I have a hunch where it is, but there were too many muggles to make a grab. Still, tftc!
I was on a 5 day roadtrip with Marcussjd9. After stopping for lunch, we headed out for a variety of caches.
I didn't even know about the Mary Poppins connection before today. So when I found out, the statue was a must see. And once at the statue I had to find the cache. Fortunately it didn't take me too long to find

Sitting in Brisbane last week, knowing that the wife had a girls weekend planned in Noosa and wondering what to do with the long weekend. I decided that the motor home needed a run and the target was this the geocaching 101 power trail a few jolly brolleys and a smattering of local caches.
After spending the night in the Alan and June Brown car park which is a great spot to stay for free in town I headed out to start what I hoped would be my biggest day of caching yet. My previous best was 78 so I was pretty confident I could break that record today. I also had my best month target in sight so I was quiet excited.
All caches where found well and in good condition all signed and returned to there hiding spots. Very very happy to turn these caches into smilies.
A really big thank you to all the cache owners and maintainers for making these caches available to be found.
A really fun day was and I’m sure my numbers will look a lot healthier after what was a big day in the Maryborough region.
Cheers

After searching the obvious for entirely too long, we redirected our attention and soon found this little nano safe and sound. Lovely to be at the sight of such an historically important figure. Yet another lovely building.TFTC, Liz and Bruce. =^.^=
•182• First find here. Love the statue! Couple of muggles nearby (super stealth) and while I was trying to put it back they were taking photos with the statue and asked me to move out of the frame. Almost lost my cover Enjoyed the museum. TFTC! -Fly

Alyce and I made a spontaneous trip to Maryborough and brought the 4 youngest along for the ride. Our goal for the day was to grab the Brolly that we solved recently, but we forgot to download the list and had no internet when we arrived, so we decided to head into town to clean up some caches instead.
It was an action packed day filled with adventures and fun times. The kiddies enjoyed the experience but grew tired towards the end of the day. All in all we all had a fantastic day exploring Maryborough and the surrounding areas.
We had to wait out a tourist who was busy looking at the information board, so we took a seat and waited several minutes until she finished what she was doing. As soon as she wandered off we hopped up and located the hide where we expected it to be.
Thanks for bringing us here
