Quick find. Another find in this LGA and another find closer to 20 finds. Found with Mogni. The plan this October Long Weekend was to head over to Victoria and host 3 CITO's plus host my first geocaching event, also increase my finds to 20 in at least 5 victorian LGA's. Given that we were caching in the country alot of km's were travelled. The weather was raining on and off all saturday including the night time but by luck all 3 events that day were dry. The first CITO ( and the cache of the trip ) was in Kaniva at the wetlands, the next in CITO was in Dimboola at one of the rest areas, and placing a future challenage cache then slowly making our way to wycheproof canavan park which was our accomadation for the weekend and then up to Mount Wycheproof ( the smallest registered mountain in Australia - at 43metres tall ) for my coffee and sunset event. Sunday started off with a early 630 am CITO in the Mount Wycheproof wetlands reserve ( sorry i did forget about daylight savings when i made the time for the event but it was a dawn and light still ). Now off to swan hill ( which is my least favorite LGA to cache in ) and then a few more LGA's and back to the tent in the dark well past dinner. Then it was slowly heading home via the silo arts works along the way and walpuep and then over the border to pinaroo and home. We went through over a milk crate of spare containers and got 2 and 1/4 garage bags of cans and bottles. Any caches that were found broken/cracked/etc were replaced and any full log books were replaced.
Sir_Spectre and I went for a long weekend over to Victoria, we hosted some events and CITO's and was really impressed by all the people that made the effort to join us. Any caches that needed attention got it, with many log books being replaced or extras sheets added as needed. Thanks to all who placed and maintained caches for us to find
The rain was to stay but that didn't detour GemmaSistema micaparamedic and Tiz13 from heading out for some caching shenanigans following the nearby event. This was one of the caches on our hit list. The Cache was missing CO messaged cache replaced.
LukeSistema and I headed off on a little road trip to gather some caches on the way to the sunset event. My coords were a little off but I soon found the replacement.A big thanks goes to Kaneira for taking the time to add Loddon Limits #2 to the geocaching map for us all to find and enjoy.----------------------------------------------------------Wow! The fun just never stops.Join us as we announce the winners in the 2023 Victorian Cache of the Year Awards in addition to celebrating Geocaching Victoria's 10th Anniversary.**When:** Saturday, 16 November 2024 from 5pm**Where:** Yarraville-Footscray Bowling Club, YarravilleLog your will attend at [**GCAWDFX: 2023 Victorian Cache of the Year Awards & Birthday**](https://coord.info/GCAWDFX).Also have you logged your will attend for Victoria's first ever Block Party? Camping in the area meant an afternoon caching run with Micaparamedic and Tiz13 taking some of the roads less traveled! Thanks for the fun and adventure.
This was a lovely quick park and grab.No issues with log or cache.A few years ago, interrupted by COVID we walked the length of the route of Major Mitchells exploratory expedition from Passage camp on the Murray to Portland (in a series of 5 day stages ).Over that period of time we kept bouncing in and out of the Loddon Shire and getting quite familiar with the river. We also managed to retrieve many of this cache series at that time.TFTC and the nice river views associated with each
JTreeTrack2 was out and about with Mr Dromaniax and the company of our Muggle parents. They Thoroughly enjoyed the trip, the sites, the effort gone in to placing caches in fascinating areas and places. The caches that we came across were all in good condition and were signed and returned as found. Thankyou to all the effort that has gone into placing the cache. Sorry for the generic log, my logging has 7 months of unloved. Thanks again for placing this cache.
I was out and about with JTreeTrack2 and our parents, and this was day number two. We decided to take Mum and Dad away for a trip down memory lane, and while out and about, we were picking up some caches along the way.We spent two days travelling around the central North region of Victoria and had some fantastic weather. All caches we found were in excellent condition unless otherwise noted.Thank you, Kaneira, for this Traditional cache.
Easy find. Seen right away, needs a new log book though, current one is a bit tacky. Thank you for the cache!
Heading home after a geocaching tour of the area. Cache laying on ground. Signed and made secure using discarded builders off cuts. TFTC
If yer drive around this area often enough,
you are bound to reach yer limits occasionally
Like here !!
And of course I was looking in the wrong place for this one for far too long.
Which wasn't long at all really ...
... given that there were only two places to hide anything there [:o)]
Just over the limit,

After a week in Mildura with Suscoe, amongst an inland sea of amazing caches it's time to head home. Of course a 500km trip requires quite a number of stops to stretch the legs and take a few deep breaths of fresh air!!
Satellites today had our GZ 9 metres NNW of where we found the cache.
**FEEDBACK TO CO:** Not sure how weatherproof the container is - log has obviously been very wet.
Our thanks 'Kaneira' for adding this cache to the geo-gameboard.

Returning home to Albury/Wodonga with my team OZCAT partner Catnap777. A wonderful time had at St Arnaud Mega. Thank you CO for placement and maintaining of this cache.
With some spare time before all the action starts in St Arnaud we drifted north in search of unfound treasures in uncharted areas.
A quick pick up as we continue along the highway.
Thanks Kaneira for the placement.
Find count: 13434

We are crisscrossing the local rural area picking up a few caches that we always seem to miss. All good at this cache. SL TFTC
Quick stop on the way through. Managed to sneak across the cache without getting seen by anyone....as if. No a sole for miles..... Tftc
Out and about with &others doing the Silo Painting Trail. Another freezing cold morning but the sun is now shinning. Now moving over to Boort to check out the Spannerman. Nice easy find Thanks for the cache
Found at 12.30pm. Our final cache for this short country cruise. Sneaky hide. Logbook is very damp though. Thanks K&M
Having 2 weeks off over Chistmas and New Year's gave me the chance to head home to Adelaide for the 1st time in a year! [^]
Harry, Rex and I headed off towards Berri and on the way, via a slighly circuitous route, we found 18 caches in some great spots, had 3 DNFs and even managed a FTF too
Found the 1st cache at 15:09 on the 23rd and the last cache at 2:07 on the 24th after a peaceful overnight drive
Such a nice feeling [^] to be heading back to spend some quality time with some much loved [:X] SA people
Rex and I climbed Australia's smallest registered mountain, saw some beautiful park areas[^], read some history lessons [^] and even had to PAF a CO (hi geobro ) as I'd messed up the coords on a multi in Mitiamo
As I have been about 8 months behind in logging, I'm resorting to template logs to catch up.
My heartfelt thanks to the COs who have placed some tricky, funny, exercise required, scary, interesting and devious caches in some amazing spots! [^]
Rex and I have had some amazing adventures and enjoyed some incredible moments thanks to this fantastic hobby

Found today on my round about trip from Shepparton to Bendigo via Boort and Wycheproof. Caching on the way of course. A quick find in the obvious place.
Thanks the Kaneira for placing this cache.

I walked around GZ without a find, then moved something and there it was. TFTC Kaneira.
Out for another drive around the District today to see what more dirt roads have to offer.
No way did I complete this Loddon Limits series but did grab a few smilies.

On my way to Echuca for the night, this one was a drive-by so I pulled up and looked over and under an obvious structure, no cache.... hmmmm. Re-check the GPS, ah... ok not there. The find was immediate after that SL at 14:48 on Wed 3 Jan 2018. The log book is dry after being wet judging by the mouldy evidence of moisture. TFTC Kaneira
I took the long way home to do a detour to get this cache. Trying to clear my local area and this is one of the closest unfound caches TFTC
I think this the first I've done actually done of this series. Was an easy find in a relatively Muggle free area, except for those driving past. Even then , not many passed. If the rubbish was cleared out of here the cache might go with it!
Ticked another one off this series list, as we enjoyed our casual day out on the backroads. TFTC Kaneira.
On a road trip from the ACT thru northern Victoria, to South Australia then back through Victoria (great Ocean road) and caching along the way. Whatever cache we happened to pass and I was in the mood we stopped to find and log. Some easier some harder:-) TFTC
A good drive by on our way to Boort home of the spanner man thanks for the cache which had been left open book saturated so sorry as you had gone to the trouble. L S
McBagis adventure log: Find #001 not hooked yet but likely to become so we expect. Thx:)
Another one of the Loddon Limits series found now we have just one left to find.
A nice easy find with mile high RnC on our way home from Patchewollock,
Signed and replaced. TFTC.. Kaneira,

A quick find here, as it was lying on the ground. Put it back and hope it stays there. Thanks for the hide.
Out for a challenge at the wycheproof shooting range. Stopped over for the 3 close caches on the way home. Not many people have found this one by the looks of it. Made no swaps.
Searched for a good while, only new and mightn't be up with the intricacies but noticed it hasn't been found for awhile, plenty of rubbish around though!
We spent the weekend in the Loddon Shire and were heading out when we stopped for this easy find. TFTC
Being very clever, we launched straight to the spot we knew it would be, only to discover a wider search was required . Back to the GPS leading us a further 9 metres to brief search, victory!

Find #1536 @ 1349H
Seeing that the skys were kinda clear I decided to head off on a small cache hunt (small in number not in distance) A total of 9 cache grabs but with a distance of 250ks round trip for the day.
Like others, I pulled up close to what I was expecting to be GZ only to find I had it wrong and should have kept and eye on the GPSr. After a bit of a hunt in all the normal location the cache was found in the most obvious place.
TFTC Kaneira.

Thought we would find it on the sign, but was not to be. Then we followed the cords. It will be a whole before we are back on the Loddon Shire. TFTC
Am I the only one who sees the fuel light turn on in the car and sees it not as a warning but a challenge? I took on the geoute's fuel light today......and lost! Another geocaching adventure is born and a desperate phone call home made.
I decided to go out for a couple of hours on a Saturday afternoon to grab a couple of caches north of home.
A quick drive up to this one down the dirt roads from Loddon Limits #1 I pulled up right next to where I thought the cache should be.....it wasn't there. I then checked the GPS and that pointed me elsewhere. Serves me right for trying to be smart.
Anyway, got it! TFTC

Wandering the byways and backroads and this came up. Very surprised to find I was only the second to find. TFTC Kaneira
Found by Roma and Max.
Since our last visit to #1 just south of here the countryside has browned off, hay has been baled and stored and the green crops then, have now turned and harvesting is well under way.
This shire now covers a significant area of central and northern Victoria and we suspect we may well circumnavigate most of it as this series evolves!
Thanks once more Kaneira for spot on numbers and a well hidden container.
