Stopped off here for The Seagnoid to advance his Railway series so had to snag this one while I was here. Ended up getting help form Ricardinho.nz to get this one tagged. Cheers
Started the day attending The Seagnoids event in Blenheim. Then carpooled with Ricardinho.nz, Kiwimykl and The Seagnoid in Ricardinho's new trusty 4wD steed to attend Nelsons Event. After a great event we scooted around for some maintenance and snagging the odd cache along the way. Even managed to grab an ftf on the way home. Another great geotrip. Cheers.

Dog needed a walk so parked near the Richmond Tennis courts and off we went. No problems with the find and quickly signed. Able to claim 1370m towards the DGSc distance challenge. More of a problem was trying to put it back. It just kept sliding out into the open as slope and dryness wouldn't hold it in place. Moved it about 50cm but still a little precarious. Thanks for the cache.
Paddle chick and I went out to get a few caches with paddle chicks help I thought I might be able to find it. We searched for ages with no luck could you please check it out . Thanks sidewaze
Out on my evening walk...decided to head for a row of caches not yet found. First of the night...last time I hunted for this one it was getting late and had no luck...this time I came across it quickly...the gps was spot on...I had been hunting a little higher last time. Tftc
I was ready to hitchchike now that I was at the road north, but this cache was too close to skip it. A quick find.
Thank you for the cache!

Visiting New Zealand for three weeks. After hanging around Auckland for a few days it was time to head south! After an early morning flight I looked for a few caches in Nelson and Richmond, then hitchhiked to Abel Tasman National Park for a short walk in the southern part, spent the night camping in Torrent Bay, then back to Marahau and a ride to Kaikoura.

I have set myself a challenge for this year to have at least the same number of caches on each day of my calender as the number of years I have been caching.
Today the target is nine but I just might go over that number.
I am having a nice walk along this part of the trail.
Cheers for the cache.

Geo cycling the GTT over 3 days, picking up caches on the way. Day 3, tapawera to stoke. Nearly didn't stop, had a previous DNF here and this co has been my nemesis all weekend. GPS was still jumping around, I found this more by luck than skill
We waited a while for muggles to clear, with the result of us appearing lost. Which lead to muggles asking us if we were lost, and others checking us out on a trip to their letterbox. But we soon made the ascent, and it was found on the second view of a likely spot, and a little exposed. Tucked back in a little more. TFTC Sidewaze.
Monday was Marlborough Anniversary Day, so a good chance for myself and Jo to head over the hill for a few smilies. It has been a while since we have done some caching, so we were looking forward to this. So we loaded up the bikes with the aim of sampling some of the good taste trail in and around Richmond and Hope. That proved to be a moderately successful few hours. Then a stop for some retail therapy and a bite to eat, and with the weather looking a little more menacing we decided to do rack up the steeds and do park and grabs for the rest of the day, in whichever way they fell. Good fun, and the rain never eventuated, so all up an enjoyable trip. Thanks to all COs, and apologies for the cut and paste.

On the way from Richmond to the Abel Tasman National Park, I stopped for a quick find at the bridge. There were no muggels on the way, so I could find and sign the logbook quickly.
Thanks for hidding.

Today again a scenic route from Westport to Nelson.
First cloudy and later it become more sunny.
On the way around the world I also found this cache.
I strolled over to ground zero and searched for a short time and found the little container.
The coords are right on the mark.
The cache is in good condition and the log paper is nice and dry. I signed the log paper.
I carefully replaced the cache right back where we found it.
*thanks toSidewaze for your cache*

Found whilst cycling the Great Taste Trail. #2 of 27 found today. Sorry for the generic log.
Went for a wee bike ride after settling in to the camp ground. Nice to get some exercise. Had 2 goes at this as a dag walker came from nowhere. Second look and the prize was mine. Cheers.
Time for a drive to Nelson. It has been a while since we have been this way and there are a few new caches!!
Thanks to the CO's for the hides. Cheers.

2730 On a bike ride around the Richmond area. Nice easy find and retrieve. All quiet on the cycle way today.
My GPS started to play up just as we got near the location but found it quick with the hint. Tftc
Could see as approached GZ. This is at least my third attempt at this (once each a Xmas). At least once was in a previous location. Quiet here today. TFTC
We were eating ice cream near here with the cache owner recently. She didn't advise there was a cache so close. No matter we got it today.TFTC.
Found with NZDi. We had to come across the hill today to do the last of our Christmas shopping, starting in Nelson and finishing up in Richmond. After the shopping was completed we had a couple of hours spare to do some caching in the local area before heading home.
We managed to find 10 in total which worked out to be eight 'traditionals' with a 'puzzle' at the beginning and end to 'bookend' them. After getting BGSc 101, we headed to this section of the Great Taste Trail to get a quick half dozen 'traditionals'.
This is the last on this section of the Great Taste Trail that we will be doing today. We actually looked for it back in November last year when returning from a trip to Golden Bay but couldn't find it. I was using c:geo at the time and the signal under the bridge was a bit flakey. Today I was using the Garmin eTrex20 which took me straight to the cache. As it was slightly exposed, it was a QEF in a place where I was sure I looked last time.

Yep...we got it, not quite in the obvious place but once found it seemed to be obvious...double Dutch ! Tftc
I had a decent look here but the gps signal was average here. was hoping to find this from my trip from hope tennis courts. I had a decent look around but the location didn't make sense. my pen had broke & lost its ink anyway, which made a mess, but meant that the cache couldn't be logged anyway. didn't compromise on the cache too much anyway as there were many people around.
Went on a big adventure with Wafflekitties and geo pups, had a blast thanks for the memories! TFTC.
Found while on a winter holiday with LCBuilder and our two geodogs. We spent 3 weeks travelling down the east coast and then up the west coast, setting our tent up at a different campsite each night. We didn't have any real plan, just went where the caches took us we saw a lot of awesome sights and will definitely have to come back one day as 3 weeks isn't really that long!
Finally made it to Sunny Nelson, definitely one of my favourite places.

After searching in completely the wrong place i pulled the phone back out, turned it around the other way, slapped myself in the forehead and searched the correct corner to find the wee fella
TFTC !
TFTC !
A quick walk before dinner, needed Mr HG to help as phone GPS wasn't too accurate
We're visiting from Florida, USA. That was great fun. Thanks for placing the cache.
Biked from Richmond to the Wine & Food fest. Nothing for it but to gather some caches on the way. This one was laying out in an exposed position. So we put it back where we thought the hint suggested it should be. TFTC!!!
Early in the morning at 6 on my way to work there was noone here so I could search and log in quiet. Thanks for the cache on a long working day!
Took a bit of hunting as the GPS was all over the show! Found with Dr.Davis and the kids on a rainy day adventure in the area.
#10419. The last of a ten find circuit on the Waimea plains to polish off most of the remaining local unfound caches. I'm glad the overbridge is still standing; I've biked under it numerous times during our stay here. Cache was a quick find. The rain that had been threatening started falling, so I donned my rain jacket for the short trip home. TFTC.
I have been under and over many times in the past, and now for a last "under" - for a while, at least. Another cache that had been earmarked for a calendar day. Despite having checked out the hide a while back, my memory failed me and had to look in a few place before the fog cleared and I found the cache. In the meantime, a few cyclists went past, no doubt wondering what I was up to .
Good to finally turn this into a smiley. Thanks for all your cache hides, Sidewaze, they have taken me to some interesting spots. TFTC.

As I strolled toward the bridge I was wondering why a cycleway was provided with a bridge for it to go under the road
No expense spared [^]
The railway theory made sense
I paused under said structure for a short break to find the cache.
That wasn't too difficult [^]

Having just followed a week away for work and the MEGA I'm back down in the south for work and more Rep training. So of course what does the serious geocacher do when faced with being in a town that they haven't done a lot of caching, well cache of course, and this evening was to be no exception.
This was my fifth as had based myself at "The Saxton" on the edge of Saxton Park, so this was going to be a nice walk back to the hotel after getting my new rep to drop me out here "so that I could go for a walk". Nice simple trad here and a pleasent walk around the park/streets and cycleways collecting caches.
Nice quick find here without any issues .
thanks for the placement , thanks for the cache

Had to DNF this one yesterday while out with the dog. GPS was playing silly buggers and dog was sick of waiting for me. Found it this morning after a gentle nudge from the CO, thanks Sidewaze.

Out walking the dog. He was getting a bit antsy with the amount of time I was taking to find it.
Found on a road trip to Richmond and Nelson from the deep dark South of Dunedin.
Having a great time hunting down caches in a load of different places.
Thanks for your efforts in hiding your caches.

After eating lunch at the campervan its was time for another bike ride. This time I headed the other way, with my husband Jdscout
This is a great cycle way. I should have warn different footwear. Never the less I found it.

A few hours to spare before an afternoon return to the North Island so TregearP and I decided to hire a couple of cycles and check out some caches on the coastal cycle way.
A quick find, all in good order and TFTC.

The last find of the day. A quick find in the first spot I searched. Sat to sign the log and then it got busy, with a neighbour arriving home and coming to check the mail and a cyclist passing by. I had to sit tight and try to look inconspicuous!!

Waited until horse and many cyclists had passed, short scramble off the trail and soon spotted a tell-tale sign of geocache hide.
Found it, and a quick find too. Wasted too much time here on my last visit but it's always hard to find a cache when it's not there!

With a caching catch up event on in Nelson this afternoon I was invited along to join Capperz and The Seagnoid on a day's caching in the Nelson area. For once my other weekend plans didn't clash and I was able to tag along and get a few caches on the books. It's always nice to try out a new area and see the variety of different hides along the way.
This one was nicely tucked away, and I spotted the likely hide area from down on the path so once the coast was clear it was a quick climb and find. TFTC

Today is a caching event in Nelson day. So today must also be a caching mission to Nelson day too!
Setting off early from our current homes at Woodbourne the Seagnoid and G H 6 7 1 0 were met at the breakfast hall for a quick feed prior to setting off 'over the hill'.
Meeting at 0630 and returning around 8 in the evening it was a big day all round for all concerned (is there any other way to have a Geocaching day, than big?)
This was one of the caches we did whilst carrying out a nice big loop walk in the beautiful hot sunshine on the Summers day. It was a quick and easy find and the well hidden cache was appreciated.
Took me a while, I was In the wrong place and they were signing before I noticed! Must be the heat

[green] Capperz, GH6710 and I are in Nelson for an event and to do a little caching on the side. While waiting for the event start time we worked this little power trail. Brilliant summer's day - got a little concerned that I had left the sunscreen and bandanna in the car, but it was okay, I didn't get burnt.
Had to wait for some muggles out enjoying the good weather here. My GPS batteries died here - GH found the cache, while I enjoyed a spot of shade, changing the batteries over.

6565. Enjoying our camping/geocaching holiday in Nelson. Today was our biking day. Out enjoying some of the many cycle ways around Richmond. This was cache number two for the day. Found in between passing muggles and after a reasonable search - poor GPS coverGe under the bridge! Thanks for the cache. Rodney and Iris.
Neat wee find. Needs to be replaced carefully so it doesn't tumble out. Found by our son (Team_Gaters) last month, he got all the family interested in geocaching.
It is indeed under something under the bridge. Rather easy this time. I see that the area I was looking in last time has been bowled. Cheers
In Richmond on a wee family holiday. Passing by and thought another look was worthwhile as the DNF a year (or two?) ago was due to the cache being awol. A bit of a search this time and the replacement was soon in hand. Nice one. Cheers.

This one is going to need a wee tweak to keep it out of harm's way. - - - As far as I know it's still there if you want to find it but will move in a few days.
well camouflaged cache. Admired the black sheep and lambs when muggles were about.
Found it after a wee search. Had found the old cache some months ago, but didn't have a pen and this time hadn't read enough logs to realise the cache had moved slightly. TFTC.
And this one earns me my 'Making a D1.5 seem like a D5' souvenir for August.
