Logs

15-Oct-17
As the tree is down and Northern Road widening is commencing we have decided that its time for this one go.

Thanks to everyone who has found it.

06-Aug-17
This geocacher reported that the logbook is full.

05-Aug-17
When I saw this down the road from my previous find I was very pleased. I'd found a cache based on this idea some time back, and the Booos told me earlier this year that their original was still out, but I'd not remembered where. Annoyingly, it was at this point that my phone GPS chip had some kind of attack and decided that I was 353m from the cache no matter where I walked. So map and geosenses it was, and I got to the cache without much issue. The logbook was wet and almost full but there's just room for two or three more names.

24-Jul-17
TFTC, quick park and grab. I found all the containers empty so I signed a piece of paper and put it in one of them.

21-Jul-17
I found the cache with no base and no log. I added water proof paper, but with no base the paper might not stay in the cache. I signed it, but I am not sure my ink was waterproof, so with the log not in a waterproof container it might come off. This needs CO attention. TFTC The Booos.

19-Jul-17
Got a little spiked but we found it!

04-Jun-17
TFTC nice idea. Forgot my geopen

09-Apr-17

31-Mar-17
cache is still in place even know the tree isn't looking the best this cache will stay in place until road works commence

29-Jan-17
Original tree has rotten and fallen. Decorations still all there, including the right one, but might want to re-hang on a healthier tree???

I stopped by here last night with some fellow cachers and alas, the tree has snapped! I helped them find the correct decoration though although they may need to be re-placed in the adjoining tree.

29/1/17. 8:22 AM. Cache #4717.
9th of 10 this morning - Wallacia & Luddenham

After "A Song By Paul McCartney and Wings", I had found as much of Wallacia's caches as I could. Two more in Luddenham on the way home; parked within 20m of this one. I walked around to the back side of the trees and saw that one older tree had come down.

A decorated container was on the ground but was empty. I was just about to put a spare piece of paper in it as a replacement log, but then I noticed more decorations on other branches. Aha, this one's a decoy. I tried a few other and eventually got to the one with the cache. Signed and replaced; headed off to "Gotta Catch Them All # 13" to finish on. TFTC.

Had driven past this and never stopped, geo friends who had found stopped for me and Clan of ^ to find. We pretty much knew straight away what was going on here and eventually found the right one , although other cachers confirmed that the tree has snapped and fallen, tftc

A qaepag. We think we missed the decorations by 3 years and the tree must have been very pretty.

17-Dec-16
Out for a day of caching with pk1965 and AlphaDeltaIndigo while on a trip to Sydney for work. The aim of the day was a particular D5 T5 cache, and a few others along the way to help us all out with our Fizzy grids. I managed to fill in two extra Fizzy spots, and picked up my third D5 T5, so all in all a very successful outing.

As noted, many of the decorations are now missing. Still we had fun at this cache and I'm awarding a favourite point for doing something different. TFTC The Booos!

Cacking with alphadeltaindigo and RideTheGeoWalrus

A quick park and grab.. actually parked between the fence and the tree..... I think this one could of been a lot harder if you found it when it first came out!!!

24-Nov-16
No log amongst the many decorations. TFTC

I think it's funny that so many people seem to not understand this cache - reading your cache descriptions can be more helpful than you think but hey, I'm just a kid... don't take my word for it! All I know is people can't possibly be looking in all the possible places or reading things if you're adding your own logs, like we found a few of. We were patient and found the one that was legitimate quite quickly. Great idea. TFTC

This is one we'd wanted to stop for for some time but hadn't had a chance as we weren't sure how long the hunt would take. We found mizmaz's log and removed it knowing that adding your own wasn't the idea here. It didn't take as long as we thought it might to find the correct log and to add our names and one found on the DIY log. Great idea - glad we were able to finally stop here! TFTC

19-Nov-16
Last for the day - I found it! The girls went to the wrong spots. TFTC

30-Oct-16
TFTC. Found this one after attending the Dam Meeting 2016.

28-Oct-16
Quickly spotted the hanging ornament however found it empty so added a temporary replacement logsheet until CO can perform some maintenance. Bonus “gift” collected as I returned to the car and found some random pvc piping (probably fallen off a passing truck speeding through the roundabout) that I can adapt as camo for a future hide.

06-Aug-16
Out on a Friday night caching adventure with ContactPete and SPY79 as my belated birthday treat. I was given the task of picking the area I wanted to cache in and I decided I wanted to get some of the pokemon series that were furthest from my home. We were now on our way home and picking up caches that were on route. It was now only a minute to midnight and so I wanted to make it my Saturday find, as we approached the Christmas tree, SPY79 gives me the look that tells me she has already spotted the cache. NOOO!!! I kept my eyes shut until it was 12am. Turns out she found a red herring and so it was now going to be everyone's Saturday find. We spread out to find the cache but within 1 minute SPY has found the real cache. SL #2633 on streak day #1493 TFTC. Giving it a fav as it reminded me of a cache we had found in Christchurch.

Found whilst on night cache adventure with contactpete and ris768. Love this idea. Cute.

Heading home after a days caching with WaywardWoman, I have wanted to do this for a while, but the road is usually too busy. We parked before the roundabout and walked across the road to GZ. Loved all the decorations. Eventually found the right one. Cache was missing the lid, but the log was inside. Signed and returned as found. Loved the work put into making this fun. TFTC

#186 Nice quick find for the tenth cache of the day. TFTC

22-Apr-16
Found it but nothing inside?

08-Apr-16
I had to be out this way for minor surgery for a skin cancer at Penrith, however once I arrived I found out I have to wait 2 more weeks. Having already organised to have the day off work. What could I do?
I did not need to ask my self that question twice. Having done all I could around the Penrith golf course and most of the one coming down The Northern Rd this one next or should I say 8. Good idea it kept me guessing it was the second one I touched but the last one I examine carefully. TFTC

Unfortunately there is wide spread damage to this cache. Many of the decorations are damaged or compeltely ruined. I could find no log to sign today despite checking every visible possibility.

Please check this cache CO. I'd love to be able to visit again in all its glory.

Today it was decided that we would go out for a morning's caching with Phantom Cyclist. This was certainly a different kind of hide and a very appropriate one for this time of the year. It did not take too long to find and after signing the log it was returned to the hide as found. We are giving it a favourite point for a well decorated cache hide. TFTC.

08-Dec-15
A fun cache, liked the tree decorations. Gave it a favourite point. Found while out with goingplaces2.TFTC.

28-Nov-15
Found at 4:47pm.

I was out this way collecting some wild fennel, most of it along a particular stretch of Mamre Road. Without going into great detail, it is one of my favourite pastimes.

Anyway I weaved my way through the area looking for caches which were on my route to Silverdale where I was planning to visit my parents.

I scoped out a couple of beauties with an arsenal of favourite points and thought that these would well be worth going for. I managed to find a good park only about 80m away from GZ before making my entrance. When I arrived I thought I would have some trouble tracking down the cache but as it turns out I went in for a pretty quick find.

Signed log, thanks for the cache The Booos

On a short drive around from Penrith to Luddenham across to Wallacia then back to Penrith I found 9 caches between Luddenham and Wallacia.
This was the second target. On arrival at GZ I found a lot of baubles but which one? Finally found the prize in the second last one I looked in. Retrieved log, signed and replaced.
a favorite for the concept of this hide

#455 – Geocaching Live for Windows Phone

This was the only find for today. Needing a find after a meeting at Western Sydney University, I set out for this cache as it fills a missing date on my dates hidden calendar. I parked across and down the road from GZ and made use of the small island near the roundabout to make the road crossing safer. From reading the past logs, I had a fair idea what I needed to do. Soon enough, I came across lots of camo and of course, the log was in the last place I looked. SL. TFTC.

20-Sep-15
_shannat recommended we go look for this one. This one was plenty of fun to find, openned almost all the containers before we found the log, though it seems as though some of them are falling apart and have had their caps broken or lost. TFTC!

Found this with the GeoBrother.

Totally awesome cache. Definitely brought a smile to our faces after a previous DNF. Such a creative and unique idea for a cache. Worthy of the fav points it have received so far and is getting another from us. Thanks Smile

Found it empty.
The bottom or rather the top fell out of it spilling the entire contents so no log to sign.

With a nice sunny morning and rain expected later, we headed out early to grab some caches.
Great idea for a cache, well worth a favourite point from us.
Many thanks for placing this cache, TeamBooo, for us and others to find.

What a great idea of a hide, Christmas is here already?
Continued on after Santa's got mail and it appears the land owner has been busy on the fences recently, thanks for an inventive hide.

28-Mar-15
Dnf this one looked for sometime opened all we could find. No log book and no containers big enough to hold trinkets ? Will try this one again when we have more time loved it

15-Mar-15
What can I say that probably has not been said many times before. Well done and favourite point awarded! I found one and thought, mmm, log is missing. I found another and thought, why would they do that. Then I saw a fourth, fifth... and realised the game. I had given up, looped around, tried again, and was about to go back to the car before that one last container, with logbook, hit my eye line.

Cheers!

13-Mar-15
ha good one!

#109 what a very interesting way of hiding a cache in plain sight. Found it in the last place I looked, obviously, but there were no more places to go. Thanks for the cache

With a Saturday off work, it was time to join with Mr Hancock for a mighty day of caching, a total of 52 for me (a few less for him as he kindly waited whilst I redid a few he had already covered).

Had a good laugh when we got to this one. Worthy of a favourite point.

#1429 (4 of 5 today)

Came out this direction a bit late today with three caches specifically targeted.
Only found two of the three, but at least grabbed a few others on my way.

Walked here from Santa has mail and immediately saw what was ahead of me.
Very cute.
Found log fairly quickly but got worried - checked all I could see. Having now read recent logs, I'm still worried.
Did I find it? I'm now confused.

The log I signed is quite damp.

8,998 + 1,010 = 10,008. Found during a work trip to the Penrith region.

After work today I headed down this way for a few caches and a nice Milestone. Very nice cache - I've seen a few of these and I have my own version up in Canberra. Great concept. Soon found the log for the signing.

Thanks TeamBooo ! Fav Point !
