In town for a non-geocaching event, I took the opportunity to make a weekend of it, and find some caches in the area. Papi4506 & Geoturtle37 joined in with the fun. Despite the rather high winds, we got the e-scooters out to attempt a few caches along the rail trail. Thanks for bringing us here by placing this cache, ozbob ~~
Geoturtle37, OzHockeyChick and myself are staying on the peninsula tonight. OHC needed to be in Geelong last night so GT37 and I headed down this morning to join her for some caching. Found without any problems. Thanks for placing this cache for all to enjoy.
*Happy January Bike Date Day #5*Out with SueHut for a date day. This isn't really #5... I messed the numbering. We hit Suma Park and have turned back to Drysdale. SueHut already found this one on a previous occasion. Thanks heaps for the cache!
Out and about on the Bellarine on a beautiful sunny day after the Geelong CITO. Not too tough, this one.My thanks for the cache, ozbob.
Out for a ride on our ebikes what a beautiful Spring day. We really enjoyed riding along the rail trail today we found a few caches and had some DNF's as well . I eventually ran out of battery on my phone so we will have to come for another ride and find the ones we missed TFTC
#754! For some reason this was just sitting in plain site. Have hidden it in same place but better! MR_PaNic
Day 3 of my early mother’s ride on the Bellarine Rail Trail trying to knock out sections of the trail while I’m visiting my daughter. Was concerned that the morning was going to be pretty uncomfortable with strong winds and drizzle, but fortunately the wind held off for a pleasant almost 2 hrs while I cached my way out then road back.
Pulled alongside the GZ and was amazed when I managed to spot the hide almost instantly. Very much a fluke than skill for sure. Signed and replaced.

With a day off I have come to make a start on the rail trail. A nice warm day with lots of people riding up and down the trail. A lot of trees have fallen over the track from the massive winds last Friday but people have made new tracks around the trees. All caches found were in good condition, logs signed and replaced where found. Thanks for getting me off the couch and exploring this great area.
Thanks heaps to the cache owners for hiding these caches along this trail!!
I stared my journey early in the morning from Queenscliff in hoping to get as far down the trail on my bike as I could before the rain started to set in. Ended up making it almost to Drysdale until I got my first few drops of rain, so I decided it was time to start heading back. Made it to the car just in time before the clouds opened up and the whole place was soaked within minutes!!. Phew! Lucky I gave up on some of those annoying micros, they do my head in!
Sorry about the generic copy and paste logs, but all caches were in good working order unless otherwise stated. Thanks again cache owners for the adventure!

We left from near Queenscliff and cycled this far. Geoboy was slightly off but I followed the arrow until I spotted it from afar and set him to get it. The black camoflage needs to be redone. Thank for the cache
Stopped for a break on the return journey and figured I should look for a at least one cache. Good co-ords meant it was quickly spotted and my mark made.
Thanks for bringing me here.

Took a few minutes of hunting, had to tether the geodoggo to a tree to have a proper search.
Watch out for the blackberries.

Looked for a while as well hidden, but in the obvious spot. Swapped a trinket. Thanks!
Great day for a long bike ride. Really enjoyed these cache hides along the trails.some hard and some harder.
Thanks for your efforts in placing these for us to look for.

Track side. Out for a caching ride with Kia1 We managed to find a few and this was one of them thankyou
At stupid o'clock in the morning I had my last job for night/morning and I was nearby so I thought I would grab this one quickly to keep my cache a day streak in tact and get it ticked off before heading home for some much needed sleep.
After such a hot day I was only in shorts and sandals which probably wasn't the right caching attire with the rain and colder weather that had now hit but I didn't let that stop me find my prize quickly.
Thank you ozbob for providing these caches on the series

Since the day we booked the air tickets for our current geocaching holiday to Australia we had been looking forward to hiking and geocaching the Bellarine Rail Trail. We finally arrived in the area last night and so this morning we parked up in Drysdale and hiked to Queenscliffe then took a taxi back to Drysdale at the end of the day (the following day we started in Geelong and hiked to Drysdale to complete the trail). We throughly enjoyed the hike in some truly lovely Australian weather and of course we also found many geocaches, and so many thanks to the COs for having provided us with the opportunity to have enjoyed yet another great day out geocaching! This one was quickly located once at Ground Zero. We signed the log book and then replaced as found. Thanks so much for the cache and greetings from Zimbabwe
Bought new bikes and a bike rack last weekend and thought no better place to test them out along the rail trail. A quick find and on the the next!
After having a walk over at The Banksias Nature Reserve nearby I thought I had just enough time to cover off another section of the G2Q trail and get the total kilometres walked up to roughly 15km. Well, I just squeaked it in before dark. Nature Boy in particular soaked up a fair bit of time and took me a second pass before I laid hands on it.
Otherwise all caches bar one were found where the coords said they would be and although I'm not a huge fan of bisons in trees most were not too painful to locate especially as they were non-camoed. There's very little worse than hunting down a freshly camoed bison in say a pine cone on a pine tree.
Many thanks to ozbob and the other COs for placing these caches to be found by the rest of us.

Out on the deadly today to do as many of the C2Q series from Drysdale to Queenscliff before catching the train back, most were quick easy finds while a few took five minutes or more til they were found,

As we were short on time today, a quick walk to find a cache was in order. We chose this one as it was close to the road. Even saw the train come past whilst here. Great timing! Thanks ozbob.
We only had about 5 caches to find on this section of the trail and decided to all rather than ride. Quick find at GZ. TFTC
This log is to tidy up a mess I made with GSAK . I forgot to apply the template so my finds were published with a nonsensical log.
Rather than try and edit all the logs I post this not with what the log should have been.
My apologies for the confusion caused.
A few days away with Freddo, e.gregory1 and The White Dog Gang.
Fun was had by all. Not too many dnfs
Most logs signed as FETT.
Thanks for all the caches.

A hot day but great scenery and good co-ords made for an enjoyable ride

Cache was found in the last place we looked, which as usual was not the first place we looked.
Found on a short, post-Christmas sojourn to Victoria with Freddo, Team Waldron and thewhitedoggang that involved plenty of driving, cycling, walking and even some boating and wading.
The weather was on our side (albeit a little warm at times), which made for some great caching. There were plenty of varied finds, with some excellent and often tricky hides and and just a few DNFs. We signed most logbooks ‘F.E.T.T.’
Thanks ozbob for the cache.

We are spending a few days on the Bellarine peninsular before the Christmas crowd arrives and today are riding the trail from Drysdale to Queescliffe and back so I have the opportunity to grab a few caches on the way and back. Thanks ozbob for a string of caches along a lovely trail.
Our first visit to Victoria so we thought we'd head to the Bellarine rail track for a caching bonanza. Had a great day with 56 finds; quite a few dnfs as we rigidly applied Draper's rule which says "no ......... shilly-shallying!"
Used (hired) electric bikes, a first for us, and can only describe them as like cruising on a Harley; virtually no energy expended, and so easy to use.
Only downside was that it was a tad chilly. Only 16 degrees when we got back to the car whereas at home in sunny Serre Chevalier at 1400m today was 21 degrees!
Many thanks to all the local placers and apologies for the generic log, but time is precious and the Great Ocean road beckons.

Nice walking trails and some train spotting on the way along.
Thanks for the hide here.

After finishing a nearby series a bit quicker than expected, Na'wal and myself decided to grab a few more caches while we were down this neck of the woods. This was one of the few remaining hides for me on this trail. A short search and I was soon adding my name to the log. TFTC ozbob
I was fortunate enough to be at GZ when the steam train passed. I waved to the travellers bound for queenscliffe and continued to sign the logbook. tftc
Great day outside with our rented bikes. While staying in Geelong, Primile had the idea to do this trail. We had a lot of fun. Sorry for the similar logs. Many thanks to ozbob and greetings from Austria
Spent the day in the area caching, no work, phone off, emails off, just exploring and hunting for boxes. Hoping for over 100 today. TFTC
Found at 11:57 AM GAFF1 in the company of maccamob.
A bit further than expected to find this one.
Thanks ozbob.

David and pprass had a day on the G2Q trail today with their eBikes. Found this cache at 1200. Saw this one peeking out from its hide after a quick search. Our thanks to ozbob.
Staying on after the Surf Coast Event we explored this area using geocaching as a guide. Today we tackled this series and enjoyed the variety of hides and the challenge of finding them. We enjoyed the walk along the Bellarine Rail Trail today finding some more of these G2Q series.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

Over for the Surf Coast Mega with tmann421 enjoying the area and collecting caches along the way.

*Finally vacation and time for the trip 'down under' to Australia and New Zealand via China. We’re expecting to see a lot of different animals and flowers and also hope to find nice caches and meet other geocachers during our journey.*

Yeah, it’s Mega Time, here in the area for The Surf Coast Event this coming weekend but I have a week off in the lead up and so there I a little to organise but mostly it caching.
Today MuggleWifeDoes and I have teamed up with gmj31891 and PamJ to ride the latter part of the Geelong to Queenscliff Rail Trail starting at Curlewis and finishing at Queenscliff. Time however got the better of us and we needed to skip a few at the end to finish before dark, these we will need to return for on another day along with those in the earlier stages.
It was a glorious spring day on the Bellarine Peninsula and the ride was mostly downhill and slow due to the fact that we were stopping every 200 meters (on average) to search for geocaches.
We stopped for lunch at the lake and Drysdale Station, what a beautiful view, no time for a wander or the caches around the lake, we just enjoyed the serenity and shade of that big pine tree.
Thanks to the entire group for their work on the rail trail caches in the area, it is a definite attraction to bring seekers to the challenge.
The cache finds were shared by all with individual cache senses activated by the variety of hides, always changing, always slightly different.

After arriving at Anglesea on Tuesday, we set up camp and went caching with BernieH and Annie aka MuggleWife on Wednesday. We started half way through the Geelong to Queenscliff Rail Trail series. The weather was kind, and we were pretty tired when we finished, bur it was a great day. Most of the caches were found without too much trouble although we did have a few DNFs.
This was one of the ones we found.

My fifth day of my geocaching holiday. Some of my chosen caching grounds ended up a bust, but I found other places to hunt.
I finally had a chance to use my bike. After finding some of this series yesterday, I found a good location in the middle to continue on with. Over all I only covered 10Km of the trail, of which I had to ride back to return to my car before it got too dark. On the way I caught up to another geocaching party who I joined for the last 3 caches.
Thanks for all the caches!

Another weekend getting stuck into this series as I take some well earned time out from work and family. Cycling my way along.
Lots of long grass around here now but fortunately not quite warm enough for snakes - or so I hoped. Cache found in a logical spot.
Nice find while riding the trail with mark9375 and Geojill -11 hunting around on a cold freezing day TFTC
Out and about on a caching run over a cold weekend with 4bait and Mark 9375. TFTC. Love the trail

Out on the 2nd day for the bike ride with geojill_11 and 4bait, we started from drysdale and finished not far from queenscliff we got just over 60 for the day beating yesterdays record of 53 which makes just over 100 caches for the weekend, making crack the 500 cache mark thanks for all these caches (keeping the logs short and sweet... like me)
finally someting diffferent a diffrent cache for a bit hopefully the next one is different aswell Great series

This was my main caching block for a family weekend away. I had about two hours to ride as far up and back the rail trail and collect as many as I could along the way. The weather was not very helpful with showers along the way and it got even chillier as the dark closed in. I made a pact with myself not to dwell on those I couldn't find so as a result I ended up with 18 finds and 5 DNFs along here. This was the seventeenth find and as far north as I went on this trip. The light was virtually gone and I just decided to head here from the posted coordinates of the nearby multi and then point the bike back towards Queencliff. Given the challenging conditions I was pleased to spot it! Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables. Thanks for contributing to this series ozbob and for this cache.
Tackling stage 2 of the rail trail on bikes on possibly the windiest day ever! That won't stop up though!!
GPS wouldn't settle on this one, and cache was found a few metres from where we were originally looking.
Log signed and replaced, cache reinstated with some camo to assist.
Joint find with South-West
