Nearly gave up on finding the cache. The GPS put me at a newly cleared area of the road where the obvious hide would be located but had me stumped. Thought it may have been stolen by some muggle who cleared the area.Looked at some previous logs and checked the GPS posted and in a much less obvious spot found the cache. Cache was damp inside and new log sheet very moist. Still able to sign but only just. A lot of water in bottom of cache. Was going to leave a TB but decided giant it.Loved the area and the geowife started taking photos of the autumn leaf trees. Beautiful spot. TFTC
No luck here. Searched all the likely spots in accordance with the hint and a previous log.
Hi there eatmorchikin, we found your cache Coolabine Canopy - (Take 3) today. Today is Day Two of our lets introduce some newbies to our hobby. Were camping at Kenilworth Showground and had planned to find as many non premium caches as we could over the next few days, but now weve switched over to premium" as well. No wonder we couldnt find this last time, its 14 m away from where our GPS said we should be looking Were thoroughly enjoying our jaunt around the countryside today, & so far weve found quite a variety of container types, sizes and ratings. Coordinate Accuracy: We found this cache 14 m from where our GPS said we should be looking. Cache Condition: Good. Regards Ian & Penny (Found and logged using Cachly).
What a beautiful road with autumn colours of the trees! Regarding the geocache, I did check one post and then started to overthink the hide and read past logs noting alternative coordinates. Within the next 1-2 hiding spots, the cache was found, and I thought the current coordinates were fairly accurate. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks eatmorchikin for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

Today, a planned *Maker Magic* event on the top of Kenilworth Bluff had me make a trip north. When I completed this hike one year ago, I hadn't prepared for the walk to take the full day, and missed out checking other vicinity highlights. Following the event, [shazzar66](https://coord.info/PRJ8B31) and I took a drive north-west through Brooloo and Imbil, and we scoped out the Mary Valley Rail Trail, and Imbil State Forest to the south-west. Those 4WD tracks didn't pose any concerns and were in good condition.
For lunch, [shazzar66](https://coord.info/PRJ8B31) and I returned to Kenilworth where we had lunch at the infamous bakery, and we ran into [Peppa](https://coord.info/PRAXNZZ) who had returned from the hike. We completed the finding of geocaches around town, and I then took off towards Mapleton, stopping off at Mapleton Falls National Park for a short walk. As time continued to get away from me, I was able to make a few final stops in Nambour, and then took the drive home fighting congestion on the M1 highway.
I also commenced/completed two Adventure Labs:
• [Not Too Shabby.](https://labs.geocaching.com/goto/ead46a00-3de3-48be-97ed-2033deff279b); and
• [A wander around Kenilworth](https://labs.geocaching.com/goto/703debde-f896-446d-ad5a-748aee0abcf7).

Such a lovely stretch of road here. We pulled over and soon set to work checking out the nearby options before striking it lucky after extending our search another few metres away. Thanks eatmorchikin
Having made my first attempt on Kenilworth Bluff this morning, and been only partially successful I tried to lift my spirits with some random caching…
I used Captain Terrors alternate coords, which helped shorten the time I spent here…
The log was pretty much mush, so I added a new log in a new bag…
Thanks eatmorchikin indeed a very pretty location…

Unable to sign log as it was wet, great cache and got some amazing photos of the area
After seeing some photos online and how lovely the area is, I decided to go for a quick afternoon blast up to Coolabine and sniff out the geocaches there. As always, it was an enjoyable drive through the Hinterland, then up the back towards and past Kenilworth. Hosting this series of geocaches, Coolabine Creek Road offered a nice detour from the main drag.
Just across the bridge and a moment later, I was parked near GZ. I can only imagine how this place looks at different times of the year. Today though, a boulevard of bright green trees forming a full tunnel around the road. I do love a tree tunnel, and paused for a photo of the bitumen disappearing into a tree hug in the distance.
So, geocache. The co-ordinates had me on the road which isn't a usual geocache hiding place. I instead engaged the grey matter and eyeballs and looked around at a few likely hides. Mostly, I was on the wrong side of the road, but came across the goods in a likely spot. Here's the co-ordinates that worked for me today: **S26 35.940 E152 44.848**
I signed my name at 14:30 and replaced all back as found. This side road (or whatever it is called - if it was a river, it'd be an anabranch) was already looking to be a super lovely drive. Thanks for this geocache, eatmorchikin

What a gorgeous place to ride! Day 2 of my 2-day bicycle tour and this is such a feast for the senses. Log is saturated and almost unsignable. I don’t have anything with me to replace it with, sorry. Message sent to CO.

Our last day at Cooroy, caching in the Kenilworth & Mapleton area today.
The country side is very green with long grass after the recent rains. Lots of windy roads today.
We found a variety of caches & finishe off 1 AL rhat we started about a month ago.
A great morning out visiting your area.
Thankyou eatmorchikin for placing this cache.

Well this was a picturesque stretch of road. A bit of a hunt until the numbers finally settled here and then a forehead slap moment as the obvious came into view. Tftc eatmorchikin
Hi there eatmorchikin.
This is the 1st of 6 caches we didn't find today. [:(!]
We spent quite some time here but couldn't locate your cache as the cootdinates were in the middle of the road. Tried a few posts without success, so here's a DNF from us.
Regards
Ian and Penny

Great hide and camo. We emptied the ants and ant eggs from the cache, signed the log and snapped the cache lid back in place securely. TFTC
A quick find in the expected area. What a beautiful avenue of trees! TNLNSL TFTC

Camping at Kenilworth Show grounds for the weekend, didn't get many, but still made it worth while This was **cache 4** of **7**
First on on this road and resulted in a nice quick find. Someones since replaced the log so that's in good condition, however could do with an actual log instead of just a post it note. Thanks for the series eatmorchikin

Easy one to find. Watch the barbed wire, it bites. Log saturated. Used a post it note instead. Tftc
Luckily those spiky looking balls are not so spiky when you step on them with shoes as the ground is carpeted with them. Found it but log is too wet to sign and needs replacing. Tftc!
Heading home after spending the weekend in Maleny, with a detour via Kenilworth. The bakery has become a victim of its own success, we had to wait over an hour just to get our hands on some of their famous donuts.
Lovely spot here, perfect time to view the fallen leaves. Pity that it's being used as a dragstrip.
Container contents are a bit sodden, no point adding more paper as it would get drenched too. We managed to scrawl our initials.

#8569 found at 12:05.
Thanks for giving us a reason to visit, **eatmorchikin**. Our log is trackable, mention this cache.

Slowly increasing our return to caching after my recent hip replacement surgery.
We managed 18 finds today so it shouldn't be too long before Vegan Cachers (VC) are back in full swing! LOL ...
#14 of 18 found today.
Poked about for a few minutes before the lights came on!
Then it was a quick find.
Loved doing a slow drive along this stretch of road, beautiful indeed.
Cool & calming.
Made our mark & replaced as found.

Saturday. Wow! What a great road this is. Had to take lots of pics whilst Mrs Que Sera went in for the find on this one. Fantastic cache spot this one We grabbed this one whilst on the way home from collecting a new Virtual cache which wasn’t too far away. We couldn’t decide which way to go home and I was leaving all the driving to Que Sera. We picked off a few caches along this route and glad to have gone this way.
This was the 2nd of 6 caches found on today's trip.
Thanks ***eatmorchikin***, for showing us this place.

Beat Genghicat to this one.this is a lovely spot along a beautiful tree lined corridor. This area is so pretty. Cache is in good condition. Old log sheet needs clearing. Tftc
Tftc. Clever hint. Didn't see the previous log entry before it was too late. Log still pretty sodden.
This was a quick easy find.
The avenue of trees are lovely. Their foliage was completely out which provide a nice shady cover.

Enjoying a tiki tour around the hinterland. Boiling hot so looking for some waterfalls and rivers to cool down. Great scenery. Cache damp but still signable. TFTC
Here in Australia visiting from Colorado Springs. Good to be out caching with Liz and Bruce again. It is great to be able to find this cache and we are really enjoying the scenery. Thanks to eatmorchikin for the cache.
We are on the Sunshine coast for a while visiting with our friends who have come in from the USA. This was one of the caches we were able to find. We enjoyed showing them around this scenic location. Thankyou eatmorchikin for placement of this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area
An instant favourite point from me, for if it wasn't for this cache my awesome geopartner WallabyTim and I wouldn't haven't taken this little detour whilst driving from Kenilworth to Mapleton and we wouldn't have discovered this stunning avenue of trees. I feel inspired and blessed and peaceful all at once. Absolutely magical spot. TFTC
We are over here from Kapiti NZ escaping our winter and seeking some sunshine - we have not been disappointed. This was a quick find while out and about on a drive through the countryside. The trees looked just beautiful in their autumn colours. Thanks so much for placing a cache here.
Some days my phone is great for Geocaching and some days it isn't. Or perhaps some places. After enduring much flakiness I entered the coordinates into my 8 year old Garmin 60CSx - yay, it's still up to the job. Thanks for setting this cache, I enjoy revisiting this avenue every few years.
Out for a drive today and hunting some caches in the beautiful Kenilworth hinterland. We had very poor internet reception so while our phone GPS got us close to caches, we had no clues or information to go by. Luckily our Geo-Sense kicked in and we were happy to log FOUND IT on all that we sought ! thanks for bringing us to the area eatmorchikin !!
all well with this cache , beautiful location
all well with this cache , beautiful location
final cache of a good little run between coffee/scone/cheese tasting for morning tea and bakery lunch in Kenilworth. We enjoyed the drive despite the persistent drizzle. This container was also in good nick and on a scenic stretch of road. Thanks for the effort in this and other caches we found this morning, eatmorchikin.
out for a day of caching with red dwarfs, a beautiful day out here on these country roads. A quick find. A beautiful avenue of trees, i stood there imagining how gorgeous it would look in autumn. I'll be back in autumn to do a few more caches and see these trees again, in all their glory.
