I'll start with the apology: I _did_ find the container, but didn't sign the log ... as my fingers were in retrieval-mode it slipped from my fingers and went for a swim. It was clearly not possible to retrieve it at that point, or try to meet it downstream
When I did this section of the GNW I forgot to find this cache! I was in the area so decided to remedy that mistake. Good co-ords and nimble fingers made the find possible. Tricky location! TFTC! GNW #6
A Mother’s Day cache! About the only time I can get the kids to come caching with me anymore. TFTC! Glad I didn’t drop it!!
In between the frequent muggles I tried a few spots, but I struggled to work out where the right spot to put my hands was.
That took awhile to find, got the extending mirror out, no luck in a few places, then resorted to feeling it, bingo got it, I don’t know about the previous log because the sheet was blank.
On a maintenance run and stopped by to see if the Cache was here. Had a look around but it didn’t turn up. Container has been replaced with a new log. Cache on.
I am disabling due to the recent DNF's and will endeavor to perform a maintenance run ASAP. If the cache is indeed missing, I'll replace it before reactivating.
Sadly we didn’t find this one....will try again next time. Welcome any additional tips that anyone can provided.
Walked to GZ with the CO after attending his CITO in Wallumatta Reserve. A couple of muggle German girls were sitting on the bridge, maybe looking down over the kayak race, so we walked beyond and looked on our return to an empty bridge. TFTC JordsAu
Out with the Jords, the CO, EverestHigh and ADI. We had to abort a tough cache nearby and this was a welcome prize on the way back to the car...although I went back to the car a little faster than the others!
#107. 10:25am. I've crossed this footbridge several times over the years & have always wondered what that industrial plant there was, now I know . It's amazing where you go & what you learn through Geocaching, thanks guys !!! Took me a while to find this one, but got it in the end . I couldn't see it anywhere & was very conscious of not knocking it into the water as I fosicked and checked the many blind areas. TFTC
Had a quick 5-10min look for this one on the way to a friends place after work. Had a feel around both sides of the bridge at GZ (time will tell which was correct!), but wasn't able to locate anything. Had to call it quits as I was possibly running a little late due to one-more-cache syndrome ;p I'll be back another day!
Previously logged under team account BoogieRogue. Re-logging with my individual account. I was looking on the wrong side initially. Quickly corrected my mistake and had CIH soon after. TFTC

To be honest, I've had a go at this one before but it looks like I didn't log the DNF on that occasion. On my way to start a nearby multi and thought I'd have another look. Started on the wrong side, switched to the other side and was ready to walk away. Had one more reach and had CIH. Ah - this looks familiar.

Preparing a bit of bush nearby to be burnt stopped by this one during lunch. It ended up taking up too much of lunch but got it in the end.

Heading out for appointments this was long over due for a hunt. No muggles about so we could move about freely to search in a few areas before making the find. We completed the signing duties and re hid. TFTC
Tftc, I had been here a few times looking for this cache. Today I finally managed to place my arm in the right place.
Was just about to give up as arms a bit cut up. Let's just have one last look before moving on and BINGO CIH
Found it with hedgy77. I live really close to this bridge but never new it existed. Great location with a good view.
Love finding these hidden bridges. Luckily no one entered either end as I lay down feeling to find. TFTC.
I had just left the quarterly 'Old Warriors' get together at the RSL up the road and chose to get a few on the way home. A friendly female muggle asked if I was alright as she had sprung me lying down feeling. I explained I was doing the activity that preceded Pokemoning and she laughed.

Interesting spot, a pedestrian bridge over water with the smell of something we could not figure out. Yeast?
It took some time on hand and knees before I found the cache. But after 10 minutes it was cache in hand.
Thanks for the cache.

Agreed that the factory smells like Salt & Vinegar crisps! Co-ords are spot-on... reached and felt the cache immediately. 1st in Australia! Tftc

Another attempt at this one with no luck. Walked away with a sore hand and no cache.
The cache of the day is found. Nice sunny weather but chilly. Parked on the other side of Epping Road and walked under the bridge. The smell of freshly baked bread was not expected down there but we fwlt it and got hungry. .At GZ we stopped and the cache was actually found spot on the coords and also exactly where we stopped walking.
Now those are what I call accurate coords! Slowed on approach and as the ticker counted down to zero I stopped, reached, found in one swift motion in the first place I felt. Smells like salt and vinegar chips here for some reason...Many ducks floating by too. Quack! Great location hidden away, cheers Jords!
mmm....don't like these exposed one, especially when you don't know what to feel for. And it is physically difficult check every potential hidey hole. Don't mind being on the bare knees but....nope, I think I need to Contact the Cache Owner.
Crawled around for a while with RangerD looking under and over. Gave up when the concern of something falling off because to great.
Had a look today, a muggle stopped to have a chat about the lovely view of the river. Resumed my searching after he left but only came up with a sore hand.
A refreshing breeze that has you in such an exposed position and kneeling on the dew lined cold floor in which my knees complained to me. Eventually had my hands on a small, thanks JordsAU
A day out with bikerbuddy.
This was our fourth stop of the day.
Another new section of the Great North Walk and my last unfound JordsAU Traditional. This was found fairly quickly by bikerbuddy with the spot on coordinates.

Canary and I walked out on the bridge. I wondered what I would do if I sneezed and my GPS went over the side. I needn't have worried. I found the cache in the first place I looked. Canary was quite impressed. He gave me a gold star. Thanks
During our stay in Sydney wie took a beautiful Walk in the park and searched this Cache.

Tried again today. After reading the previous log it occurred to me that I'd only checked one side of the bridge. When a proper search was done sure enough I found it. Good thing too as the bridge suddenly became busy after replacing.
This one was my nemesis cache having been here at least twice before - the last time we were doing the Great North Walk from Thornleigh to Sydney so didn't spend a long time here although I had the flexibility of the geoteen to help out. Came here again after finding Green's Bush and came prepared with mirror and something to lie on. But there are just so many spots and it's so hard on the arms. I sent a couple of texts and without a reply headed out to find Caching Karma.
Came back with some helpful info that kept me to the correct side and I took a different angle and thought I spotted something. Reached in trying not to damage the shoulder I wrecked on another cache out west a couple of years ago (hundreds of dollars in physio later...) and removed the blighter! Victory! I signed triumphantly and replaced, not pushed in as far as it was because I think it was very difficult to reach for anyone.
Good to cross this off.
Thanks!

Didn't get a proper look as I was slightly paranoid with all the people walking through. Will have to try again soon.

Very tricky. You really want to have to find this one. Down on your hands and knees scrambling around where we can't see. really glad I came though very interesting factory and bridge. I wonder if they make beer and wine here? I must come back.
Thanks for the hunt.
Thanks for the hunt.
Grrr cross this bridge every Saturday on way to Little Athletics and it's like it's teasing us, sitting there waiting to be found - no luck today even though I thought I had an idea where it might be. Will try again next week..
Came back to this after a DNF from a while back. After parking and then passing some muggles walking the bridge, I got to GZ with the place to myself. OK here we go. Started searching using my unique yoga techniques and after around 5 min found the caches. WHEW, finally. SL and replaced. Thanx for the torment JordsAU, TFTC.
Easy find.. Thanks for bringing me here. There is much of Sydney I just don't know.

Needed a quick find today - so after reading the logs, why did I pick this one?
Actually, after stabling the Hademobile at the park, made the short walk to GZ. Yep, it's just a question of checking the right spot, and how close the coordinates get me.
The coordinates were good - even for the iPhone - and I had the blighter in my hands in under 10 minutes. Phew!
Completed signing duties - worried the paper log might blow away. All good I went to replace the cache... muggle alert.
Ended up waiting for three muggles to slooooooooooowly pass by until the coast was clear and I could replace the cache for the next victim, err, finder.
Took photos to cover me standing in the one spot while they walked past.

We brought some cushioning, (rubber mats), for this one, and with the use of a small mirror we soon spied the little blighter in its hidey spot. Thanks JordsAU.
Found at 6:24pm.
I love the scenery from this bridge - although it's not exactly glamorous, it's full of history and has a real sense of secrecy/mystery about it.
After failing to find this cache a week earlier (not to mention a lengthy and high-effort search), I found myself back here with the CO who was able to offer me some guidance.
I was so sure that the place I found it in this time was not where it was situated last time, however I figured it can't have travelled too far given that there were no finds between that time.
Anyway, if I had one piece of simple advice to others - don't give up on this one as it should just be a matter of time before you have CIH. Oh, and maybe bring a mattress so you can lie comfortably on the grated walkway as you search for potential locations.

Nope. No luck and I didn't want to put my shoulder out again stretching for it. Last time I did that for a cache it cost me hundreds in medical bills.
Skyejam found it with few mins... Nice day for geocaching. Signed the log. Thanks JordsAU.
Everlasting and I walked on the bridge till we arrived here at the perfect GZ and found it straight away. TFTH JordsAU for taking us here.
While watching my brother's soccer game, the rain decided to lighten up so I walked over to try and find this cache. Reading previous logs helped a lot, and I managed to make a very quick find cool bridge and nice views! TFTC

Came here with JordsAU himself after we found Dostoyevsky : Dice, and very fortunately and thankfully he pointed me to the cache's location, and I pulled out the cache with a bit of a lunge. The river seemed pretty calm but still offered great views today. TFTC JordsAU, another great piece of history!
Tricky one. Lunchtime and muggles from nearby factory were crossing the bridge, but we managed to extract the cache in between the traffic. Glad to finally find this one after many minutes of flat out search. With yoga-like contortions, my hand eventually felt the cache container, and AM and I SL&R. Thanks for the cache, JordsAu!

Found with CJ this afternoon whilst on a cache raid seeking some of the nearby puzzle caches.
This one was a real tricky find. I think the hint should include...... bring your yoga mat. CJ and I both had the fish scales on our legs after making the find. This was from the marks from the hard pattern steel flooring from the bridge. It took us at least 20 mins of searching and waiting for curious muggles passing by to go past to a safe distance for us to continue our search. Just when we were about to give up and DNF this one, we thought we'd try one last place. CJ reached in and bingo!
We soon had the cache in hand. We signed the log and replaced the cache. Anyway, it was a satisfying find considering how tricky this was. A great day to chase down more caches. Thanks JordsAU for your cache. SL TNLN TFTC

After failing to find a Munzee nearby, we came over to this one. At first, after noticing that we could easily lose some possessions, Sjamp said "you hold my phone, the GPS and your phone, sit down in the middle of the bridge while I look." I obeyed his order, however after a while, without him being successful, we swapped jobs and I started looking, lying down on the cold metal bridge, worried that as soon as I found it, it would fall into the river. Eventually I felt it, and luckily I didn't drop it

A few previous logs prepared us for what might be in store, and Jono_9 suggested we should return to the car to unload our phones and other things being carried in our pockets. But I didn't want to walk back so suggested he guard our belongings while I assumed the searching position.
It was a bit hard on hands and knees but I figured a systematic search was needed. Jono_9 was beginning to get bored and was keen to have a turn so I grabbed the bits and pieces and he continued the search. There are an endless number of places to hide something here, and even though some appear to be more likely candidates, you just don't know what or where it will be until you find it!
Jono_9 pressed on despite the low comfort levels offered by the searching method until his fingers made the discovery. He carefully extracted the cache and then we both sat in the middle to sign, trying not to let the wind blow any bits away.
This is a tricky hide and we were glad to find it. Jono_9 was pleased with his success and I was relieved that we left with everything that we arrived with. Thanks JordsAU.

At last. After several DNFs it was the first place I tried. Must have been missing previously! good to get as it was my closest to home unfound. SL TFTC.
Went to a little carpark beside the factory which goes straight onto this bridge. Bummer there's a boom gate over it now so had to drive all the way round to the other end.
Saw the biggest blue tongue I've seen in years beside the bridge. I was enjoying the view (but not the smell) when I realised the GPS said 0m. There were lots of possibilities but 2 more likely areas. I started checking and thought all my valuables could slide out of my pocket and into the river never to be seen again so I put everything in the centre of the bridge and lay down as EDF suggested to begin my search. Nothing at spot 1 or 2 so checked them both again and of course it turned up in the first spot I'd checked. It was a different type of container to what I'd been expecting so I guess that's why I missed it on the first pass.
Sat on the bridge to SL & a muggle came along, looked at me weirdly. How lucky she hadn't come by a couple of minutes earlier. When she was out of sight I returned the cache.
TFTC - a very satisfying result.

I had a small window of opportunity on the way to the church this evening. It was dusk, the cockatoos were congregating on the yellow railing on top of the starch plant, they are the only ones who seem to like this smell. Some of them wandered over to see was I was up to, a strange man lying on the walkway contorting in funny positions. I was glad that I had no human company, except for a couple of kayakers on the river below.
I stopped where the GPSr indicated and was given a couple of spots to search, the first one I examined thoroughly with no success, the second revealed a cache! It was my third visit here, an exceptional place spoilt by the starch smell, but there are far worse pollutants. I think the cache was MIA the second time. I signed the blank log, but inserted "I did not" before the FTF!
TFTC again JordsAU

Back online and another attempt for 20min and another DNF. Was almost ready to jump the rail just so I could get a better look but thought against it .
I have replaced the cache and hopefully it stays in place this time, please be careful in your search and when replacing it. Feel the love!
The cache appears to have disappeared already, will get back there shortly to replace.
Another DNF. Lots of runners on the bridge this morning so I spent more time picking the farmers friends off of the dog's coat. Might need a hint and a very specific one
Came back a second time and gave it a very thorough search, and came away with sore knees and scratched arms, but no cache. Grrr!
Had to travel down to the Big Smoke on some business this morning, Not being one to miss a opportunity decided to try to find a couple of cache after my duties were completed. Ah JordsAU you've brought back memories again. I wonder what the pedestrians were thinking on seeing this grey headed old fella laying on the footpath. Poor old homeless guy, Mind you no money was offered. Great cache Keep up the great caches. TFTC
We searched for this one for a bit but couldn't find it. Great area even if we couldn't make the find. Thanks for the cache.
No luck here I'm afraid, we looked seemingly everywhere, but obviously not where the cache is..

I had intended to do “Green’s Bush” but, as it was quite hot, I thought I’d prefer a water view and, as I was also planning on having lunch at the North Ryde RSL, decided to go for this one instead. It’s just down the road from said establishment.
When I arrived at the bridge there was a muggle leaning on the railing just beyond GZ. I determined he wasn’t a cacher so I nodded and walked past to the other side of the bridge to wait for him to depart, keeping an eye out should he be contemplating jumping. Eventually, he wandered off in a southerly direction and I was able to grab the cache, which didn’t take very long as the coordinates are excellent.
I walked back to the car past the old “Great North Walk No.5” GZ. It’s still there but of course archived now.
Thanks once again JordsAU.

Came past knowing this might be a toughy, and it was. 15min back and forth and nada. I do believe with all these JordsAU caches around, it would be wise of me to get a contact number, just so I can yell insults over the phone to Jords and tell him how tough a tough and tough some of his hides are....Next time Gadget!
