Checked and I couldn't find it.
In the area trying to get to 3000 before going away next month. My target was to find 29 caches and it should have been achievable. Unfortunately I still have 12 to go after 6 hours caching.
I had so many DNF's today that I gave up recording the codes and am only mentioning the most annoying ones. Come on CO's if you have a string of DNF's check them and post a Maintenance note. That way everyone knows where they stand.

Had a quick look for this but there was a mum's boot camp nearby with rugrats everywhere and as a 50ish year old man it didn't seem like a good idea to hang around. Didn't seem to be in the obvious spot.
Back in the area today picking up a few bits and pieces. Sadly this one escaped me for the second time!
Found early morning before heading to Maroubra for work. I'd been to the park some time last year but there were too many kids playing sport after school for me to poke around GZ. This time there was only a wide scattering of dog-walking muggles to contend with. Many thanks gullightly
I arrived just as school was finishing for the day. Mistake! There were soon a couple of gaggles meeting right at GZ, checking FB etc. I took a walk around the park and got back to find the area pleasingly deserted. Looking from the other side I saw the cache on the ground, probably not its intended position. Retrieved, signed and replaced it where I guessed it should have been. Thanks gullightly.
Spotted this on from "the other side" so ran around and made the grab. I signed log and replaced just as a football team arrived for training - good timing

TFTC. Happy Australia Day.
A quick find during a cachecopade on a much milder Sydney day.

Found it! I was at work today in the sydney water canal next to this park, and i thought i bet theres a cache in that park, sure enough i was only 60m from gz the hunt was on! A couple of minutes i arrived at the gz and found it in the fist place i looked sl and returned to its hidey hole (: tftc (:
Park directly across the road from GZ and strolled to where the GPS # was down to a single digit. Spotted the container from the second place I looked. CIH, SL TFTC
My cache eyes are in today. Prob took more searchin than what it should've needed. Great cache nonetheless. Tftc
Much less frustrating this time. Cache found exactly where I had been expecting it to be last time. GZ unexpectedly quiet on a very pleasant spring evening, almost no subterfuge required. Thanks!
Muggled has been replaced but please be stealthy as this is a highly populated spot with lots of eyes. Good luck
Had the park almost to myself. Plenty of time and space. Crawled around up and down....nuttin!! :-/
I spent a fair while randomly circulating around GZ whilst looking for trolls and huntsmen and vainly waiting for my caching intuition to inspire me. Being in the dark with a rubbish torch probably wasn't helping, and I did note previous suggestions that searching in the day was more fruitful. Will have to return.
Found the spot but the f'ignals could not locate a cache.
Thanks for the opportunity to explore the area anyway.

We left Newcastle nice and early this morning for a day of caching in and around Sydney, and once we arrived at GZ, the cache was found in the first place we looked, thanks to having the park completely empty.
Gratias gullightly.

Made the trip from Newcastle with Marcus Vitruvius hoping to complete the August Challenge today, capped off by this evenings Event at the SCG and we did it plus I managed to get 29 for the day, a great day all round! TFTC gullightly, you are definitely the "Park" King (or Queen)!!

#2585- I had a number of hours to kill while waiting for my son to finish his first day of Work Experience at Fox studios and accompany him home to the mountains- so he could do it on his own for the rest of the week. I chose to hop on a bus and head for Maroubra as I had not been there for years.
This was a nice simple cache- put my had on it as soon as I sat down. Thanks

Snape has been found. Straight away saw where it was and soon had cih. Pretty sure people didn't know that it was magnetic. Tftc swag was over flowing sorta.
Tftc... I had some trouble with my GPS, it was sending me everywhere. I then just looked for the most logical places and came up with the find.
On approach to GZ, I spotted an elderly muggle doing tai-chi about 3 metres from where I thought the cache was likely to be. Quickly realising he was not interested in my presence, I began searching in what seemed like the logical place it would be. As I looked from the one side, I spotted it on the other side so made my around and retrieved the prize. The log is damp but still useable. TFTC gullightly!
Was just about to start finagling mid-morning at GZ when a group of students from across the road approached the nearby footbridge. So checked he weather on the iPad which was pretty funny because it was raining! Once they passed by, the cache was found. Log still damp but improving. SL TFTC Cheers... Gaztek
Second cache in Australia it is a vicious one but hint in description helped me. TFTC
Thanks to misspalot this was a quick find. Then I enjoyed the soccer match across road. Could have stayed and watched but there was more caching to be had!
A slightly wet cache to start the day... Not that the cache was wet, but me! The sprinklers were on, and an overnight sprinkle meant that there were puddles and drips everywhere... Perfect for caching in dress shoes . TFTH, gullightly.
gps swings wildly near gz... maybe all the metal infrastucture. a quick find as did others before me.
no huntsman to be seen a beautiful peaceful park. tftc

Back down under after 5 weeks overseas. Enjoyed the summer here and grabbed a couple of new caches around my home. Quick found, in 1 TB! TFTC
Easy find on a Sunny Monday long weekend. Piced up travel bug, dropped off Geocoin.
Nobody around this early in the morning! Or is it the wet weather holding people of?

Another quick & easy find, but some finagling required to grab the GC, sign the log book, and return it before being scrutinised too closely by a mother with a ball kicking boy, a bawling little sister & a ball fetching dog. I had a ball nabbing 4 GCs. TFTC gull lightly. Love your work!

(Log may be signed as ADI, short for AlphaDeltaIndigo)
GC Buddy for the cache: "JordsAU, Ernest13tse & Goughy2012
Cache condition: good
Log condition: good
Just after logging the FTF, we decided to find more caches in the area.
On a technology handicap, I realized I wouldn't get much far with finding this cache. Coords were a bit off, but Goughy2012 had an intuition and knew where to look. Before I know it, cache was out of it's hiding spot and log was being signed.
This was my last find for 2013!

Memorable moment: seeing a palm sized spider on the railing at GZ! #gross

Final cache with Goughy2012, JordsAU and AlphaDeltaIndigo after the NYE @ Sydney event. My phone's GPS also had the coordinates a little bit out, but fortunately Goughy2012 trusted his instincts and made the find; signed just after midnight. TFTC, gullightly
Geocache: # 1,066.
Found on: Monday, 30th December 2013 at 12:10 AM.
Conditions: clear.
Current streak: # 152 days.
Today's finds: 1 of 13 (included in the total of 9 during yesterday’s trip).
Caching buddies: Goughy2012, AlphaDeltaIndigo & ernest13tse.
There were good intentions all round to head out early in the morning (yesterday) to fit a few caches in before the NYE @ Sydney Event in the afternoon but both Goughy2012 and AlphaDeltaIndigo overslept so we were delayed in our start. We eventually made it out and tackled the Henry and the Boomer Whereigo cache over at Manly but this took longer than expected so, once we had completed it, we had to turn around quickly and make our way over to Central Park to reserve our spot for the event. What a great turnout! The weather was great and more cachers than we were expecting made it to the event, which was fantastic! The drink pong challenge was good fun and the venue was ideal. We capped off the event with a group photo (I have uploaded these to my log) and I went to find the nearby Central Park Sydney Traditional cache. As we were packing up, we noticed a new cache had just been published over at Matraville so Goughy2012, AlphaDeltaIndigo, ernest13tse and I jumped in my car and off we went to continue our adventure into the night. We managed to get the First To Find at the ‘Xmas lights barwon park.’ cache and then we continued on to do a few more around the area including Matraville "river", Tennis Tree, Running Reds Killing Peds, Heffron park by the numbers and Fi’nagle’ park cache.
This would be our final cache for the trip before turning around and heading home. Once at Ground Zero, it was a relatively quick find and we soon had the Cache In Hand. We performed the signing duties before returning the cache to its original hiding spot. Signed Log, took the Smokey Bear Travel Tag. Thanks For The Cache gullightly.
I grabbed the TB4RFYX Smokey Bear Travel Tag and discovered TB59R7M Suncompass Geocoin, TB5R89X Washer and TB5KWXD CANDYBOY.

After doing a number of gullightly cache in the area. This cache became our last of the evening and the one to keep the streak alive. Thank goodness was starting to get worried lol jks not. After a quick search i made this find and noted that the posted co-ords were off by about 13m. once the cache was pulled out and we started to the log we found a nice little baby huntsman spider preparing to strike. moving away from the spider we signed the log and took all trackables in this cache. Returned the cache to its position and off we went.

Late in the afternoon the park was deserted allowing us to have an uninterupted quick find exactly where we assumed it would be (altthough we tried the other side first of course). Thanks for a well-placed container.
Fantastic! My first ever cache in Australia! Despite being born and raised here, I moved to London before getting into this so 2 years later, my first Aussie cache! Dropped 4 TBs. TFTC
Found today whilst out on a Geo mission with Geo – Sister SpecimineX . I really enjoyed the cache, the company and what great weather for caching
Up from Canberra visiting the family, so that meant it was time for the geobro, Goldfinger777 and I to get out and about on an afternoon geomission
Moving right along with our geomission and next stop was this one for us. I had a feeling where the hide might be as we were nearing GZ, so down I went to investigate-and saw it straight away [^] By this time GF777 was around the other side so I directed him to the hide for retrieval. Then after caching duties were complete, off we went for more
Thanks for hide, gullightly I've enjoyed visiting all of these parks today!

7/12/13. 7:10 AM. Cache #1118. 2nd of 7 today on a big drive of new caches that took me from Maroubra in the east to Toongabbie in the west. Despite being very close to my earlier find at Maroubra trees, this was found a good while after as I had to wait out a couple of large stray dogs before I was happy to get into position. Then this was as a straightforward find, after which I headed near the airport for the next cache, (EAT YOUR GREENS!!). TFTC }:)
Welcome back! I visited the previous incarnation of this cache so left the finding to Smigglepot to keep it real.

Came down during an extended lunch break in the rain with 2/3 of team special. Just as we were about to abandon the mission, the cache came out of hiding. Tftc gullightly and I got the patch and the note, thanks heaps!
