MrMagoo72 and I headed round here to search for this cache, shortly after moving on from The Glebe cache. As darkness began to fall, I had more or less given up on this one - I had found the hint item and thought I'd looked all around, but MrMagoo72 was more persistent and rummaged around in the autumnal drift. Lo and behold he located the container - we opened it up and found a nice new looking logbook with only one other signature in it. Signed in the semi-darkness, as we were heading home from the steampunk festival/arts trail, then replaced it as found and headed off. TFTC.
Had to burrow deeper than MacBayMeri was prepared to - came up trumps just as she was giving up. TFTC.
Nice location. Very good hiding spot - very unlikely to be picked up by muggles. Thanks
Many thanks for the cache. Mr Kiwi dropped me off near Windsor and I walked back to town. Up the hill now to our AirBnB.
Staying nearby so went for a walk in the evening to find a cache or two. This one was a quick find after a bit of poking around with my stick. TFTC.
It's Queen's birthday weekend yay. . JD and I are spending the weekend in Oamaru. It took a bit of fossicking. Thanks for hiding this cache hill55 I appreciate it.
Today started cycling the alps to ocean rail trail an awesome experience. With a few caches to provide the cherry on top. TFC
It was right where I wanted to look but couldn't reach it. M finally looked there, after he had searched everywhere else. LOL This is a very lonely cache as it hasn't been found since 12/6/2020, some 16 months. The cache is safe and sound and still in place.
#18259. After reading the previous log, and walking past two squished rabbits on the road, I was wondering whether this stretch of road is high risk for animals to cross. We parked at the turn off to the subdivision, and walked about 50m to GZ. Deep leaf drifts meant the cache took a while to locate. TFTC.
Found with StreetWalkerNZ on day 2 of our 4 day trip to Oamaru and environs. Today we are planning on finding some caches around the gardens as well as walking the Reservoir tracks.
SW was navigating and got me to park near a couple of squished rabbits (I hope they were rabbits and not cats ) so had to avert my eyes as we walked to GZ.
Took a few minutes to track down the cache - damn leaves were in the way. Don't think this cache is going anywhere. TFTC.

This is day four of a ten day trip down to Dunedin and back to move my daughter to Dunedin so she can get her master’s degree at Otago University.
I am now on the road heading north. I don’t need to make too many miles, so I can concentrate on a few caches.
I had to avoid the poor cat that must have been hit by a car in order to get to GZ. TFTC.

I overshot this on the way out to Weston so I stopped for it on the way back. Nicely placed and a decent size container.
After starting the hunt for the #hiddencreatures with Eve07 at an event in Dunedin we decided that North Otago, as it held a good number of creatures neither of us had yet discovered. A nice frosty start to our adventure led us around the coast before we headed in land looking for the slightly more elusive mysterious ones.
This cache was found to be in good condition. Thank you for placing and allowing me to get one step closer to the #worldturtle.

I brought my bike down with me on the trip to Omamaru to do some of the bike trails and today I did lots of them parking the car and then biking back and forward so made a big day but very enjoyable saw lots of neat stuff too.
The 5th of our 6 Day Adventure to and around Oamaru for [Oamaru Geofest 2017](https://coord.info/GC6M2V0).
As we hadnt had much chance to venture too far from Oamaru, today was spent gathering numbers - and of course it had to rain!! Most were quick PnGs. The day was cold and I spent most of it wet but we had our biggest numbers day for quite some time with 70finds! It didnt take very long to spot the cache but we had to kneel on the wet ground to retrieve it and I got wet knees on our first cache of the day. Thanks for placing the cache and adding to our smilies

I spent the first part of the day cycling the A2O Trail from Windsor to Oamaru. After a lunch break in Weston it was on to the last stage into Oamaru. Cheers and TFTC.

Heading back towards Omarau now to drop off our rubbish but still time for a few caches on the way. TFTC # 11,134
Headed out for a Mad Mission with Team_Gaters and 8ManAfter we signed our logs today 'T8T' cos were dynatmite! I grabbed 8Man at 5.30 am and we grabbed TG just before 6am and we were on the road before 6am with the bikes on the back. The plan was to drive to Oamaru and then attend the events and thrash the caches hard. We wanted to do as much of the A2O as we could and as many PnGs that we could manage. We stopped by the event first and then we had to stop an grab breakfast at 10am. We grabbed some lunch and headed for the hills. Had a great time and worked our way back to town for the CITO at 6pm. Scored a delicous dinner in town and headed home. Got home just after 12am knocking out 620km and 115 caches. Good times!
Couldn't see blue stones but could see a cache.
Cache 25 of 115 for this crazy day!
Thanks for the cache hill55.

A long days caching (Mad Mission?) with TheWanglers and 8ManAfter..revelin a bit of the Geofest Event in Oamaru. We signed our logs 'T8T' cos were dynamite...and 'in a hurry'...LOL! Picked up by TW & 8man at 6am...and we had our bikes loaded for a bit of A2O action during the day. The plan was to drive to Oamaru and then attend the events and thrash the caches hard. We stopped by the event first and then we stopped to town to grab some breakfast and a packed lunch and then headed out to hit some trails. Had a great time and worked our way back to town for the CITO at 6pm. Grabbed some tea in town then headed for home. Got home just on 12am knocking out 620km and just over 100 cache finds for each of us. A great day with great company!
No blue stones in sight but did see a local painted rock...cheers.

A bit of night caching to finish our day off. Nice quick find but didn't have much of a view. TFTC

#2,958: Binge Smiley!
What an adventure we had today! TheWanglers, Team_Gaters, and I headed out at dawn from Christchurch with four goals in mind: 1) Find Many Caches, 2) Get TG to 7,000 finds, 3) get me to 3,000 finds, and 4) Have Fun! Needless to say, all were accomplished in spades. It was only my second 100+ day ever, and had us driving, walking, running, biking, and even crawling to make the finds. We were also able to find at least 7 different cache types, and attend two events, in order to catch up with old friends. Thanks to all the hiders, but most of all, thanks to my partners in crime! We signed all logs as "T8T", sung to the tune of AC/DC "TNT".

A quick find and there was a painted stone nearby. I have been seeing these painted stones everywhere on this trip.
a detour on the way to grand daughters birthday party...to be more precise on the way home from...on the way there were a couple of really dodgy looking people poking around in places only geocachers would go!!
Quick and easy find, went past earlier in the day and saw two people trying not to look conspicuous, and yes, later on we made the find and I retrieved the trackable,
A quick find on sunny day. On the hunt for 600 before oamaru mega. Dropped trackable.
A number of people out and about enjoying the sunshine today, grabbing this one took a little time due to having to wait until the coast was clear. TFTC
First one of the afternoon session after having a refresher course on American Foul Brood. Very good it was as well. Cheers for the cache
Out walking the dog noticed that this may be buried at the moment. Will wait until the work is finished.
There is a bit of works right next to GZ. It is not really in the way of finding the cache though. Quickly found. Cheers.
Bother the weather. Showers off and on all day, gumboots a must! Had a great couple of days caching too, though slightly wet at times.
Thanks to the CO's for the hides. Cheers.

Checking out this end of the A2O before we ride the whole trail from the Alps. Pleasant countryside around here and a quick "bike and grab", thanks hill55.
Headed down south with C&D and 11HPG11 for the CHCH Mega as part of the HOAC team, and decided that a Mega road trip/Mega Mission was the right thing to do. After a great day caching from Dunedin to Omarama we manged to get a few hours sleep before the big day 2 started.
Day 2 was the start of a ambitious plan to try and find as many caches as possible in one day! To maximise our chances of a big number we decided a 24 hour caching day was the only way to go. What an epic day, and some great moments too. The rough idea was to cache from Omarama to Oamaru, and then head north towards Christchurch. A huge thanks to everyone for the cache placments, and I apologise for the copy and past logs.
Find #208 for the day.

This was the start of a MEGA caching weekend in the company of good caching friends. In the company of both HKCB & 11HPG11 this was going to be another memorable caching road trip for many reasons.
This is the mission that we had set ourselves up for several months back. It was HKCB's idea, I was just dumb enough to think it was a challenge and I'd be up for it, 11HPG11 was silly enough to come along for the ride once we confirmed a spare seat (Nova Lightening pulled out for family reasons).
We were going to try to beat the NZ one day record in New Zealand (it would have been easier with 4 people), so after 2.5hrs sleep after a good feed at Omarama we were ready to go. This was the number two hundred and eighth on what was to be an epic day with what amounted to 401 caches collected for the day and about 38 DNF's. We managed this with 10minutes to spare but by this time we were done for and still had to drive back to Kaiapoi. All in all an epic days caching with good friends and something I don't think any of us will repeat in a hurry.
All in all it was going to be a big day with a number of challenges, great scenery, and of course great company. Fantastic driving along and up here as the landscape was so different from what we are used to back in the Waikato. One good thing about backroads being that we could continue our neferious activites without being disturbed by muggles.
Nice quick find here without any issues .
thanks for the placement , thanks for the cache

What a Mega Mission for a group of Hamilton Over Achievers! A great trip, a long time in the planning. I teamed up with Cats&Dragons and HKCB to grab a couple of caches while in Christchurch and surrounding areas for the 2015 Mega Event. We flew out from Auckland on Friday night and traveled to Dunedin in the dark of the night. Stopped for a few hours sleep before setting off to grab caches in the Otago area on Saturday before attempting a few more on Sunday and then arriving at the Mega on the Monday. An amazing, yet crazy road trip
When C&D mentioned a day with over 400 caches I should have turned and ran... instead I said yes, and here we are. 401 caches in 23 hours and 50 minutes. All done on about 2.5hr of sleep. It was hard work with only 3 of us and there were times that were hard and tiring but I still had a blast! An amazing experience that one has to be slightly crazy to even consider
Enjoyed exploring this area. Thanks for showing us the sights

This cache was one of approx. 350 found on a 5 day road trip with Moneydork who was on a brief visit to New Zealand.
We enjoyed a variety of caches in an area that stretched between Christchurch Dunedin and Pukaki.
Thanks to the many people who have hidden and maintained the caches.

This cache was one of 350 found on a short trip back to New Zealand, which was principally organised so that I could attend my Great Grandmother's 100th birthday.
I have a great time and enjoyed a great variety of caches, most of which were new (ie published in the past couple of years ).
Thanks for all the great caches.

Didn't take long to find, received some strange looks from muggles in passing cars as we were signing the log. TFTC!
