I think this Cache needs archiving, hasnt been found since 2017, i have been down there a couple of times with no luck either
This geocacher reported that this geocache should be archived. A community volunteer reviewer has been notified.
Hasn't been found since 2017... obviously not there needs to be archived or adopted by someone who will maintain it
On the Road Less Traveled series (and surrounding countryside) with Steeba.
Sadly, despite our best efforts, we could not turn up anything here today.
Well we searched a 25m radius as per previous logs, could not find anything.
Cheers

Since the rain had eased, we went back for this cache. There were two trees down across the track. Bikerbuddy said they weren't there last week when he had found this cache. Good reminder about why you shouldn't camp under them!
Had to look in a few spots here before finding the cache. Probably much easier to find in the daytime, but it's always more difficult by torchlight.
Thanks

We decided to detour to Portland to find some caches before heading home. This was the first cache we stopped for. The WaywardWoman had been in Portland recently but didn't do this cache, so we climbed through the fence into the Crown Land and wandered down the track with the rain coming heavier and heavier as we approached the cache. Eventually we saw the dam and I was relieved to find the cache easily, as it was raining fairly heavily by that time.
Naturally, by the time we got back to the car, the rain Gods decided enough was enough, and turned off their shower.
Thanks

#3792- About two months ago I came out to Portland to meet an exchange student I was co-ordinating. I had planned to do all 7 of the caches in the area, but with NickoHeap listening to music in a stationery car, we ended up with a flat battery, and anything more than a park 'n' grab was out of the question.
Once I realised this was a short walk, we left it for another day.
Today was the day. Though the gate was locked, the signs showing crown land clearly allowed bikerbuddy and I under the fence for the stroll down to the bottom. By now the rain was getting heavier, so little chance to look at what would appear to be be a great camping spot. A quick sign and back to the car to dry off a bit. Thanks

Found it - what a great little Damn - nice on a sunny day - thanks for the cache
A quick find on a lovely walk with the lookylookyloates from our holiday house nearby. Left a TB we picked up whilst in Europe.
I followed the fence looking for a way in but found nothing, then returned to see a Crown land sign. Knowing that we are welcome on Crown Land, as long as we behave, I crawled under the fence and made my way down. Fairly easy find when the gps is talking to the satellites properly. TFTC.
Tried to drive too close to GZ so had a trail blazing trip down to find the cache. Found a much easier way back TFTC
Well this find was a classic example of taking the hard way in and then finding an easier way out but it paid off with an easy find once we got to GZ. Filled up the container with a good stash of swaps. TFTC and for bringing us to this very pleasant spot.
We obviously didn't read the cache description properly, as we started from the wrong spot and had a cross-country interesting trek to find the dam. Halfway down, we wondered whether we should have taken a mark where we left the car! However, we found the easy way out after making a quick find, so , no problems. Thanks for bringing us to this extremely pleasant little spot, w0lfpack4.
Helped to location by geo-relos. This parcel of land backs onto their property.

A long unfound cache. I wasn't brave enough to drive all the way to GZ, but I got close. A fairly simple find after a few moments.

Parked at the suggested spot and walked down to the Dam. A beautiful heron was watching us while we did the 'business'.
I seldom read the description just leaving it to the Magellan to tell me where to go. It took me into the common, from sealed to gravel, to dirt & mud then a dead-end. 888 metres to GZ. Read the description. Hmmm. Didn't check if any wild horses about!!!! A pleasant walk on a cold day to find the well hidden cache. Thanks.
Needed a cache to cross a day off so went for a drive after dropping the kids at swimming.
Hit GZ and was ready for the quick find that never came. Searched for a long time and even pondered going for another but I knew it had to be there.
Finally moved stuff the right way and was happy to make the find.
SL TFTC.
p.s. had just done some caches in the land beside mexico that was full of cacti, rocks, and low shrubs. Felt much more at home in this bush by the dam. A neat spot.

Another day on the calendar without a find so a quick trip after work to Portland to find this one.
I lived here back in the 80's and used to ride the motorbikes all through the common. Nice to return and see nothing much has changed in all those years.

Parked along the common and walked to GZ at the dam. Found the cache and signed the log. I wonder why there are not more visitors to this cache. TFTF
