I was heading out to meet the fam at Avalon Airport and couldn't miss the chance to grab another in this series. It was dark and felt sketchy. But with the phone torch as a guide in the right direction, I soon found the correct star picket. Thanks for placing this one here and showcasing some epic spots in Vic.
Tuesday ... appointment cancelled! Jinky and John grab the gear and head out for a run up around the You Yangs. Swiftly had it in our hands! TFTC!
Heading to Anglesea for a craft weekend so I took the opportunity to leave early and cache the long way there! Ha ha. A nice easy find here. Slowly ticking this series off! Thanks
Accurate coordinates made this a quick find , all's good at gz . Thanks tackle_head
Another Max Max cache found on the way to Melbourne for Mother's Day celebrations. A quick find with RikkiJayMudd while the kids waited in the car complaining/wondering just how many caches I was going to ask for as a Mother's Day treat. TFTC tackle_head.
A quick diversion off the main highway this afternoon for a few Mother's Day cache pick-ups with [@DuckNomNom](https://coord.info/PR1J84Z1).It's been a long time since I picked up a Mad Max movie, though looking at the still on this cache I can freshly appreciate how far the franchise has come since that first local installment.Cache found in good condition with only a little searching required. Lots of passing traffic, so near impossible to get a "quiet" moment. Log was jammed in there but otherwise in good condition.
In the company of Tenkae, finding a few and filling in gaps along this road. Another Mad Max cache to add to my list. Thanks tackle_head for contributing to this great game for myself and others to enjoy.
Good thing Im wearing gumboots today because the entry is a little on the muddy side. A quick find, reminds me of the first of the max max route I did where I had found the hide and put it down without realising I was holding it. Eyes were prepared today
Got ya. Another impressive device. Thanks heaps!! Lucky number #50 for mine, couldnt have picked a better spot for it for Australian cinematic history (thanks Dr Miller!!)
First visit, I was not thinking clearly. Found it second time round, and with some help from tackle_head. Really enjoying the MAD MAX caches. TFTC!
Grabbing a few while passing through the area. It was a quick find using hint. Nice grabbing another in this series. Thanks tackle_head for placing the cache and doing the maintenance needed, so we can find this cache.
A bit of a walk through the grass but we got this one in the endthanks for the cache
Found it. As I pulled over a jetstar plane flew over heading to land at nearby airport
The Mad Max movies put Australia and Mel Gibson on the map. This section of road does look familiar. Thank you tackle_head for placing and maintaining MAD MAX MOVIE - Night Riders Demise for us to find today.
On my last 3 weeks of my visit from the US to see family (halfmugglemum). Getting some geocaches done while I can.Nice little find.

Yes there is an area to pull over safely, but missed it at first v??A quick find! TFTC
A nice quick find and relieved that there was somewhere safe to park at on this very busy 100km road, yes I can see the scene from the movie as I looked around.
Finally found this one on my 3rd attempt - it looks like it was missing on attempt 1 and the coordinates were way off on attempt 2. Today though, I was able to home in on the prize at 13:45 thanks to (1) it actually being there and (2) the now spot-on coordinates.
TNLNSL, although our BYO pen geocoin had a visit to mark the occasion. Thanks (at last) tackle_head.

While searching a vehicle stop nearby.
He didn't care about us, he had to fill up this oil.
Don't see that happen that often.
Every so often, I do a re-watch of this movie.
Glad to visit these film site.
But now being here, I will have to do a re-watch again.

A long weekend caching staying in Geelong but spending yesterday in Ballarat. This morning taking the opportunity to grab a few more of this series before we have to start heading homeward bound.
A bit of a delay while we waited for a motorist to move on and thankfully I did not make the same error as the other day.
Thanks tackle_head

It was so hard to open! In the end I got a key ring and left it there for fellow cachers!
That was a challenge in the dark hopping around like a frog with there being so much water haha tftc
This is a very well hidden cache. The lid is a bit hard to get off but eventually, with the help of the fence, I managed to get the log out and sign it. Very wet here in Vic today! Flooding everywhere. Tftc
Looked for 10 mins, hint no help at all unfortunately. A large shrub is on the ground with Valencia intertwined making it difficult. Unfortunately all I got was wet feet. One to return to another day
Parked on the side of the road like an unmarked cop car I had to wait until a suspicious number of cars had passed to be able to get this one.
Great hide TFTC - couldn’t sign log ring had disappeared so couldn’t pull it out and it started raining
In the rental car waiting for my daughter to fly in to join us for a COVID interrupted gender reveal, so out I go to look for a couple of nearby hides. I had previously looked for one other Mad Max hides unsuccessfully some time ago, which appears to no longer be there, but this was a clever hide that took a little to find with the fallen bush all over the GZ! Nice one.

Not sure if it’s still there. Checked a number of stars but gps was all over the place.
This one was very well tucked away and I missed it the first time past but after a second go around the accurate coordinates led me to the find. Thanks for the cache tackle_head.
We had finished our work early today and decided to go for a drive in the Lara vicinity and pick up a few caches; several were chosen because they would fill holes in various targets that we are working towards. We are both fans of the Mad Max franchise and we are slowly collecting all the caches in this series. It was pretty cold and windy as we looked for the cache and made a speedy find. The cache is in excellent condition. Thank you for this cache, tackle_head.
The pen that I started the day with has now disappeared - TFTC

This took a longer than it should have but finally found. Another in the Mad Max series. TFTC
Found after work at Avalon Airport. Second find in this series, on a drive-by in our Interceptor .

Find # 9503
Day 1 of my extended long weekend.
Spending time with sharkiefan, we decided on a few caches for today, but as we drove around, the list of finds got bigger and before we knew it we were heading back to Werribee for Dinner. A little later than planned on that point too.
But it was the perfect day for caching, not hot n not raining, plenty of sights n fun had along the way.
Slowly finding the Mad Max caches. Today I managed to add a few more to my list of finds.

Has a bit of trouble initially, checked hint, got confused, realized I was looking in the wrong spot, moved and found! TFTC
Last one for the day.
A bit of searching & reading past logs then we had it in hand. Geokid again told me about the scene shot here.
Great series.

Continuing our Great Ocean Road trip, NyssaFlutterby, wombles and co, membsec and I headed here next.
The cache was quickly found by membsec, along with a worm. Log signed as QQ for the group of 4 of us (NyssaFlutterby, wombles and co, membsec and I).

We are on a road trip from Melbourne to Adelaide on the Great Ocean Road (GOR). Membsec from Tassie, Nyssaflutterby, 1MinnieMoo and Wombles and Co all from Queensland. We met at the airport, late due to Jetstar’s strike (4 hours delayed for the Queenslanders) and then hit the road. We have a good selection of caches that we really want to get, so many in a short amount of time.
We have signed the log book with QQ to save time and space in the log book. Another clever hide which was nearly missed!

Came along here and had to scratch around a bit. Found the plastic bag with the log and signed that. As we thought it needed to have more protection we supplied a container so that it is now more waterproof. TFTC.
Bit confused as I found the bag with two logsheets in it but also found the nicely hidden micro Just to be safe I signed a couple of logs so my name is definitely in there. TFTC, now I need to rewatch the Mad Max movies
Found after rounding things out on the IPT series before hitting the motorway. TFTC
A short detour on the way home with reports of a crash on the Monash. This is turning out to be a really good series of caches - thanks!
Had an eye popping adventure finding the cache today. Signed the log first then noticed the hidden nano. Thanks Tackle Head for this series. Love the concept

This was my last free weekend day whilst Tarbit was holidaying overseas and so a plan was hatched to tackle some caches in the You Yangs with SirJ-Oz. As per usual I did the driving and he did the navigating. After 24 finds in the You Yangs park and 7 in Little River we headed down towards Lara to grab some dinner. Thsi was the third of the Mad Max series that we came acorss near here. We were a little confused as what we found didn't match the hint nor the recent comments about a replaced log ubt was certainly a geocache signed by many oher finders. In any case I hope we've done enough to claim a find here. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables. Thanks for the cache and the series tackle_head.
Find #4132. Found @ 18:13 with Annoying Tarbit
The plan for today was to visit the You Yangs and surrounds with Annoying Tarbit, and have a day of caching. We didn't count on the Great Circle Drive being closed, so ended up doing (according to my fitbit) almost 20kms of walking for the day. It was a long day with AT collecting me at 8am and I got home again about 10pm.
Driving past on the way from Little River to Lara, and we stopped for some quick finds. As we got to GZ we were a bit concerned about a fallen tree at the place we wanted to search. Just past that we found the log which was full and containerless. Looking at the most recent history of the cache, it appears we found the old log that was stashed, and not the replaced one. Oh well, a find is a find.
Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables.

A nice cacher has kindly replaced the log and left the full one safely tucked away and dry in snap lock bag for the owner to collect.
Suggest it collected before it comes to harm.
The cache location was quickly realised and logged.
Not the rock that we were expecting but TFTC

Finally found this second time around. A different time of the year with a much drier area to search, but also found that the GPS had us in the same spot as last time which we found was a few meters away from where the cache was located. TFTC
Hi there tackle_head.
We started the day caching around the Little River area, after solving a few puzzles before heading off to Bacchus Marsh to have dinner with some muggle family members.
All up we found 18 caches & DNF'd 3 in this cache run. Thanks for placing the caches. Without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places while we meander around Australia.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in fair shape.
**Took:** Nothing
**Left:** Nothing.
Regards
Ian & Penny.

Did come nearby a few days ago, to do the multi not far away, but sadly had not downloaded this hide to my GPSr, today was a visit to mates in Geelong hospital, and on my way home, called in to change the dot to a smiley, took a bit of searching as GPSr was wavering about, but clue did help, and as the log is full, I replaced with another, old log is in a baggie under the hide, all is good here now, Thanks, tackle_head, another of your hides is done
This is my 8th find in this series also 28th tackle-head cache found.
With all the fuel guzzling muggles roaring by it was nice to find safe parking nearby.
Found in the dark after consulting the hint.
An all time favorite movie.
Thank you for the effort you have gone to in researching and placing this series.
