Was a bit tricky but a methodical search soon won the day. Wasn't particularly stealthy despite the car park before NG empty. Had gone up to the giant first, saw some dolphins feeding out in the bay. One was even cruising very close to the wall. Hello with Tmac61 & Rainforest Cookie from the east coast !

We are in WA to spend Christmas with our daughter who lives here. We didn't do a lot of caching this time for a range of reasons. We are down in Mandurah to see a couple of the giants and pommieparkin2 have kindly offered to accommodate us. We really enjoyed the walk along here and hopefully next time we will have the bikes so we can travel further. Pretty happy that we spotted this one straight away after visiting the giantThanks for contributing to our holiday.

Full time nomads since February 2014, here to visit family.

Now staying in East Rockingham for a few days. The plan was to head south and look for more of the Mandurah Giants. This time though we put the GeoBikes on the GeoCruiser.

Beautiful weather and the Giants are Amazing! Whilst we were on the bikes we managed to attempt a few caches along our ride. Razz

26-Apr-23
After travelling across the Nullarbor from Melbourne for a Family wedding in Perth we are now staying in Mandurah for a couple of weeks. Today we headed out to find another Mandurah Giant, Sebas Song, which we did and we stopped in here on the way back to locate the cache. We looked high, we looked low, and everywhere in between without luck then Mr Pooky widened his search and finally made the find but the cache was a little difficult to retrieve and a TOTT was required. TF placing this cache for us to find on our travels.

23-Apr-23
Absolutely tiny! It is way smaller then the average micro cache. TFTC

23-Apr-23
Tagged in from some other cachers so was quick find TFTC

16-Apr-23
Thank you!

09-Apr-23
Find 12 of 24 with 9 DNFs on a 40km bike ride taking in most of the peninsula south of Mandurah, starting at Santi Ikto, down to the Cut and back, then the last couple on a second 4km bike ride to see Little Lui, the giant.

On our way to our second giant of the day, called in here first. These car parks are witnessing a boom in usage since the giants came along, it seems. It was nose to tail traffic - almost gridlock - but we just swept past on our bikes. +1 for pedal power. Lots of pedestrians coming past this spot, but when the coast was clear, we both jumped into action and the cache was soon in hand.

TFTC The Nigels!

Enjoyable day out with bro imthamaninthabox and nieces checking out the giants.... managed to entice them into looking for a couple of caches along the way!

No muggles around as we parked so bro jumped up and had a good search! I then jumped up and found it to which bro said 'no wonder I can't find any caches if they're that small!'...... welcome to the world of geocaching bro! :-0

Thanks you The Nigels for placing and maintaining Wannanup IV for us and others to find and enjoy! [:-)

14-Jan-23

29-Dec-22
Parked here and walked down to see the giant nearby.
Once we got back set about hunting the cache and with a little bit of technological assistance managed to spot the container and got the name onto the sheet.

Thanks The Nigels for placing Wannanup IV for me and others to find.
I added my name to the log at 16:58 on 29/12/2022.
This is find number 6339 for me.

18-Dec-22
A quick find after visiting the Giant and our first on this trip to WA from England. Let your fingers do the walking - tftc

15-Dec-22
Staying down in Mandurah for a few days and picking up some caches in between Giant hunting Smile I saw the car park was empty so pulled in here before going to see Seba. Host was obvious and I was expecting trouble after seeing the recent flurry of DNFs... however after a quick walk around to eliminate some obvious spots, I took advantage of the deserted GZ and got straight into some trickier possibilities. I had grabbed a TOTT from the car in anticipation but was still pretty surprised to spot the sneaky thing almost immediately. All OK here Smile TFTC

08-Dec-22
Had a look after the giant. No luck today

28-Nov-22

15-Nov-22
Couldnt find.
Anyone checked recently?

12-Nov-22
DNF. Maybe next time

09-Nov-22
As I was leaving the area this afternoon I had decided I needed one more cache. That lead me to accumulate one more DNF. So I was still short.
To this cache I came next. As I arrived there was a bloke on a motorbike. Cruising up and down the car park. A friend was sitting at the picnic table. I wondered if this is going to be a long wait.
Another car turned up, but left after only a minute or two. Then the bikers looked to be getting ready to leave so I persevered.
Then I was along in the car park. I went over to GZ and had a search. I could not spot it. I tried this and that and was still without find. Then I noticed one spot I had not looked, but I’d need a different angle. I could see it, now to get it.
I tried one option. It did not work. Back to the car for a tool. It did not work. Back to the car for another tool. It did not extract the cache, but managed to move it, from there it was easy.
Now my day is over and homeward bound am I.

03-Oct-22
Still there happy hunting

02-Sep-22
Had another go, still had no luck finding it.

01-Apr-22
Out for a stretch with axell33 and we arrived here with no one else in sight. We looked high and low, read other logs and looked again! As we continued, we were looking at where it could be hidden and yep, one of those places gave it up! Axell33 soon had it in his hand. This was a tricky hide! Good job The Nigels. Thanks for the hide.

01-Apr-22
After grabbing a nearby new published cache we decided to try our hand at this one. We arrived at gz with only one other car there but no muggles to be seen. So we started our search and it took us a good 10 minutes before we spotted it. We signed your log and returned your cache back to where it lives. TFTC The Nigels.

Out exploring while staying locally for a few days. Thanks for the hide. I realised I’d already visited this area previously to log these caches and obviously forgotten to log them online. Made for a quick find of this one again at least. Thanks.

07-Jul-20
Went looking for these on weekend. Didnt bother logging because I was so disappointed not finding any along this walk and ended up with thorn in hand and an allergic reaction to legs from something growing around the last one. Great hides if they are still there. We were baffled.
