Easy find. But the camo suggested seems to be missing as the colour of the cache does not blend with its environment. TFTC
Geoturtle37, OzHockeyChick and myself are staying on the peninsula tonight. OHC needed to be in Geelong last night so GT37 and I headed down this morning to join her for some caching. This was a good warning for today as we had a passenger train and a lovely big black Steam Train go by. Thanks for placing this cache for all to enjoy.
In town for a non-geocaching event, I took the opportunity to make a weekend of it, and find some caches in the area. Papi4506 & Geoturtle37 joined in with the fun. Despite the rather high winds, we got the e-scooters out to attempt a few caches along the rail trail. Thanks for bringing us here by placing this cache, Phetlern ~~
Staying in Geelong for last few days of my trip. Haven't cached this area very much.
While over this way visiting friends in Freshwater Creek had to get some caching done as well. This afternoon it was the G2Q (Geelong to Queenscliff) Rail Trail, had brought the Ebike along to assist. Drove over to the Queenscliff end, unloaded the bike and started looking and riding towards Geelong. Didn't get as far as hoped before it was time to return to the car to get back in time for dinner. Thoroughly enjoyed the variety of hides, some of which took longer than expected to find, and am looking forward to getting back sometime to complete the series.Found this one in not the best of locations, replaced in a much better location where it should be happy and probably last a lot longer. Thanks to Phetlern for adding this cache to this excellent series.Cache #14594 for me.*This log composed and published using GSAK (Geocaching Swiss Army Knife).*****SAs Leap Year Event GCA1DNA - keep the date free - 29th February 2024. Cant wait!!****
A great day out riding the BRT. On our way back to the car and getting the last couple. Found this after a few minutes
Out for a ride on our ebikes what a beautiful Spring day. We really enjoyed riding along the rail trail today we found a few caches and had some DNF's as well . I eventually ran out of battery on my phone so we will have to come for another ride and find the ones we missed TFTC
Out for a day of caching by myself today out of the 13 I was chasing I found 9, 3 DNFs and one note as I wasn't going to get my feet wet. Had a good look but not to be today, one for the watchlist.
I took a pic. The train we had been hearing was here. Brilliant sunset on the trax.
Found on a trip to Mexico City from the town north of the border….
Thanks Phetlern and clear skies from TeamAstro. ️ Cache the planet!

Doing part of the trail trail, looks like a lovely walk, although trying to do as much as possible before the weather turns. Took a bit to find, but once found, can’t I see it.
Thanks Phetlern for placing this cache and contributing to this great game. Happy trails, Deanside
Worried this one was going to do my head in like the last one lucky it was a quick find.
Still enjoying the walk into town, with the occasional hello from the locals.

Well, what a day. As I sit and type this, I look down upon several mosquito bites, a long, bloodied scratch on my leg and the aftershock of an actual electric shock. Have I been on a Commando course in the jungle? No, I’ve been caching along the Bellarine Rail Trail (amongst other places). Returning to the area after being locked out of the country for two years, it was great to finally reunite with Ketchthor to continue our occasional caching adventures in this part of the world. This is a generic log for all the caches that we found today. Setting off around 9 am, it soon became apparent that our expectation of a reasonably straightforward stroll through the Bellarine countryside was well off the mark. It became hot quite quickly; mosquitos were out in force, and there were a few hidden ‘natural’ surprises at a few cache sites. The worst was a lizard guarding a cache and refusing to move. We spent about four hours walking along the trail and then back along Knights Road to look for the ‘Do you Believe in…’ series. At one point, I managed to come into contact with an electric fence. It didn’t look like an electric fence, obviously – although I now realise that I don’t know what an electric fence looks like—what fun. Some of the GZs were waterlogged and prohibited access but we managed to find most of what we looked for. Despite the bites and scratches, it was a fun morning and as always, I'm really grateful to the cache owners for taking the time to design, place and maintain the caches. Thanks to all!!
aketch1 (from the UK) and I decided this weekend was the right time to continue tackling the G2Q series and a smattering of other Bellarine peninsula caches which we started in 2016.
Despite relatively cool temperatures for this time of year, the caching journey was quite the grind with the recent wet weather posing consistently thick vegetation, a mosquito paradise and the constant threat of dangerous creatures. Added to that was aketch1's electric fence zap, a stubborn lizard causing chaos at a GZ and a pack of chicken defending 'livestock guardian dogs' not too happy about the presence of geocachers.
Thanks to all the cache owners for placing and maintaining a variety of hides. It's much appreciated.

We didn’t think we could reach getting here but it was a very short and quick walk from where we left the car.

Mr H keeps making quick work of his as we are rotating who finds them so someone can stay with our stuff! Loving this trail! Thanks for placing and maintaining these caches
Chasing my 1000th find, this being 998. After 2 unsuccessful caches, I was hoping to grab this one. The camo made this hard to spot, but thankfully found it quickly.

Thanks heaps to the cache owners for hiding these caches along this trail!!
I stared my journey early in the morning from Queenscliff in hoping to get as far down the trail on my bike as I could before the rain started to set in. Ended up making it almost to Drysdale until I got my first few drops of rain, so I decided it was time to start heading back. Made it to the car just in time before the clouds opened up and the whole place was soaked within minutes!!. Phew! Lucky I gave up on some of those annoying micros, they do my head in!
Sorry about the generic copy and paste logs, but all caches were in good working order unless otherwise stated. Thanks again cache owners for the adventure!
Cache does need attention as the container is full of water and the log will need to be replaced!

This is one of those caches that make you go "oh, ffs!!" Yeah... how did we not spot that. Reading past logs gave me the idea we were looking the wrong way at the gz.
I had to be switched on whilst grabbing this one, had the lil green steam train approaching as I shined the log. TFTC Phetlern
Headed out on the Bellarine Rail Trail on our ebikes today. Found after waiting for the train to pass. TFTC
We learn that preconceived notions of where a cache may be hidden are not always helpful (we are newbies after all). We thought we had spied the location then, as someone else said it caught the corner of our eye. The day was not overly warm and being out in the fresh air walking the geodogs and looking for caches made for a pleasant change from being indoors. We are really enjoying the variety of caches that we are finding on the Bellarine Rail Trail and the Bellarine Peninsula in general. A lot of thought and imagination has been utilised to make Geocaching interesting, we are really getting hooked. Thank you Phetlern for this cache.
Lovely walk along the rail trail, missed that cache at first but once I looks back at the coords it was easy enough
I was looking in what I thought was the obvious spot and then out of the corner of my eye I spotted the cache TFTC
With our chances for Geocaching becoming less and less we seized the afternoon to do some exercise and grab some near by caches on the wonderful rail trail. As we approached GZ thoughts flooded back from when we had searched for this one before with no result but this time luck was with us. We looked all around but couldn't see thing till we changed our view of direction and the cache was right in front of our eyes. Quickly hand sanitized before and after logging and the replaced in hiding spot. Thanks for another nice cache Phetlern

Great day for a long bike ride. Really enjoyed these cache hides along the trails.some hard and some harder. We weren’t hanging around long.
Thanks for your efforts in placing these for us to look for.

Rail crossing was located after a previous attempt and some of the usual mutterings and head scratching. Gps doubts and rechecking. Then that 'Why didn't I see that' moment. Log signed and cache replaced. Thankyou and cheers.
I was heading to the event in Point Lonsdale, but was a little ahead of time, so I decided to grab a couple of caches nearby. Nice quick find for my second for the day.
Thanks to Phetlern for the cache.

Making our way back to Melbourne from Queenscliff Music Festival and decided to collect some caches and let the traffic settle down. TFTC
Since the day we booked the air tickets for our current geocaching holiday to Australia we had been looking forward to hiking and geocaching the Bellarine Rail Trail. We finally arrived in the area last night and so this morning we parked up in Drysdale and hiked to Queenscliffe then took a taxi back to Drysdale at the end of the day (the following day we started in Geelong and hiked to Drysdale to complete the trail). We throughly enjoyed the hike in some truly lovely Australian weather and of course we also found many geocaches, and so many thanks to the COs for having provided us with the opportunity to have enjoyed yet another great day out geocaching! Once at Ground Zero we began our search and several minutes later we finally spotted the cache - phew! We signed the log book and then replaced as found. Thanks so much for the cache and greetings from Zimbabwe

This log is to tidy up a mess I made with GSAK . I forgot to apply the template so my finds were published with a nonsensical log.
Rather than try and edit all the logs I post this not with what the log should have been.
My apologies for the confusion caused.
A few days away with Freddo, e.gregory1 and The White Dog Gang.
Fun was had by all. Not too many dnfs
Most logs signed as FETT.
Thanks for all the caches.

A hot day but great scenery and good co-ords made for an enjoyable ride

Found with Freddo, Team Waldron and thewhitedoggang on a short, post-Christmas sojourn to Victoria that involved plenty of driving, cycling, walking and even some boating and wading.
The weather was on our side (albeit a little warm at times), which made for some great caching. There were plenty of varied finds, with some excellent and often tricky hides and and just a few DNFs. We signed most logbooks ‘F.E.T.T.’
Thanks Phetlern for the cache.

Yes - avoided all of the trains today! This cache had us fooled at first and we had to enter the coords into the trusty Garmin to pinpoint the exact location of GZ. This is what we had to do to succeed with several of the series as for some reason they did not dowload onto the GPSr. We only had data on the phones - not ideal in our opinion.
Thanks again Phetlern.
Thanks again Phetlern.
We are spending a few days on the Bellarine peninsular before the Christmas crowd arrives and today are riding the trail from Drysdale to Queescliffe and back so I have the opportunity to grab a few caches on the way and back. Thanks Phetlern for a string of caches along a lovely trail.
Oops - I meant to go back and update the field log at the end of the day and missed this one, so here I am a few weeks later fixing that up. This find was made with the eldest GeoKid as we did a 13km return ride into Queenscliff, picking up a bunch of caches on the way and stopping for some fish and chips at Queenscliff harbour. All in all a fun day's caching, sure beats working when the sun is out. We actually failed to find this one on the way in (a DNF on our second cache for the trip, wasnt a great start) but fortunately a bit of a better look on the way back ensured we ended up in the logbook.
Out and about with Bogonghazy to try and reach the 5000 milestone. No trains today as we made the find and signed the log. Thanks Peter and Helen

Nice sized container! Not sure if in proper location as mentioned by previous finder that part is broken. Logbook also a little damp but can be written on. Tftc!
On our weekend to Queenscliffe with our new bikes we chose this track to ride on the nicer days of the cold rough weather. The posts for these will be generic sorry but only 2nd time riding and caching - a little harder to manage. I will say that we had alot of fun and enjoyed the various cammo. We also got to see the old train go by and will earmark the rest of the trail on return to the area. Tyftc PS part of cache broken

No problem with trains at this location today. They seem to pass as a weekend activity only every now and then so we had no problems encountering any here today.
Took nothing, left nothing.
Thanks for the geocache placed here for us to find today.

With the goal of reaching 3000 finds at our event in Melba Gully, with the glow worms tomorrow, I was out today needing 30 odd caches so that could happen.
After doing the last section of the trail on foot it was nice change for some drive by's and a change to rest my feet for a bit.
I managed to break the fishing line here as I opened the container that was being a little stubborn. Luckily there was plenty of line to reattach it again.
Thank you Petlern for the hunt

On what started out as a cloudy threatening sky, ended with a perfect caching day.
This will be generic, so apologies in advance. Thank you to all the CO's for their hard work and maintenance. We will keep you posted if we find any issues and/or anything of interest. Us geriatrics need some motivation to get out there and combine with some pedals is fantastic.
Special thanks to Phetlern for their thought and ingenuity. Always amazed with some of yours.
For this one: Log damp but usable. TNLN TB still in play.
