Geoturtle37, OzHockeyChick and myself are staying on the peninsula tonight. OHC needed to be in Geelong last night so GT37 and I headed down this morning to join her for some caching. No time needed to make this find. Thanks for placing this cache for all to enjoy.
In town for a non-geocaching event, I took the opportunity to make a weekend of it, and find some caches in the area. Papi4506 & Geoturtle37 joined in with the fun. Despite the rather high winds, we got the e-scooters out to attempt a few caches along the rail trail. Thanks for bringing us here by placing this cache, Phetlern ~~
Staying in Geelong for last few days of my trip. Haven't cached this area very much.
While over this way visiting friends in Freshwater Creek had to get some caching done as well. This afternoon it was the G2Q (Geelong to Queenscliff) Rail Trail, had brought the Ebike along to assist. Drove over to the Queenscliff end, unloaded the bike and started looking and riding towards Geelong. Didn't get as far as hoped before it was time to return to the car to get back in time for dinner. Thoroughly enjoyed the variety of hides, some of which took longer than expected to find, and am looking forward to getting back sometime to complete the series. Thanks to Phetlern for adding this cache to this excellent series.Cache #14596 for me.*This log composed and published using GSAK (Geocaching Swiss Army Knife).*****SAs Leap Year Event GCA1DNA - keep the date free - 29th February 2024. Cant wait!!****
Out for a ride on our ebikes what a beautiful Spring day. We really enjoyed riding along the rail trail today we found a few caches and had some DNF's as well . I eventually ran out of battery on my phone so we will have to come for another ride and find the ones we missed TFTC
Out for a day of caching by myself today out of the 13 I was chasing I found 9, 3 DNFs and one note as I wasn't going to get my feet wet. this container looks like it came out of the bonnet of someone car. TFTC
I was heading to the dinner in Queenscliff, but came early to do some shopping and caching. Another quick find on this series. One day I'll complete them all.
My thanks for the cache, Phetlern.

Nice spot to walk, a couple with a cute dog passes as well as a jogger… nice to see others enjoying this trail. Thanks Phetlern for placing this cache and contributing to this great game. Happy trails, Deanside
Always a good day when out caching and finding them.

Day out along the coast caching with sassieold55, another smiley on the rail trail. TFTC
Expect the unexpected that's what I learnt today while searching for Phetlern's caches.
A nice easy micro find this morning. Making time for ME (M.y E.njoyment) right now in life and nothing brings enjoyment like a good cache TFTC SLTNLN
Well, what a day. As I sit and type this, I look down upon several mosquito bites, a long, bloodied scratch on my leg and the aftershock of an actual electric shock. Have I been on a Commando course in the jungle? No, I’ve been caching along the Bellarine Rail Trail (amongst other places). Returning to the area after being locked out of the country for two years, it was great to finally reunite with Ketchthor to continue our occasional caching adventures in this part of the world. This is a generic log for all the caches that we found today. Setting off around 9 am, it soon became apparent that our expectation of a reasonably straightforward stroll through the Bellarine countryside was well off the mark. It became hot quite quickly; mosquitos were out in force, and there were a few hidden ‘natural’ surprises at a few cache sites. The worst was a lizard guarding a cache and refusing to move. We spent about four hours walking along the trail and then back along Knights Road to look for the ‘Do you Believe in…’ series. At one point, I managed to come into contact with an electric fence. It didn’t look like an electric fence, obviously – although I now realise that I don’t know what an electric fence looks like—what fun. Some of the GZs were waterlogged and prohibited access but we managed to find most of what we looked for. Despite the bites and scratches, it was a fun morning and as always, I'm really grateful to the cache owners for taking the time to design, place and maintain the caches. Thanks to all!!
aketch1 (from the UK) and I decided this weekend was the right time to continue tackling the G2Q series and a smattering of other Bellarine peninsula caches which we started in 2016.
Despite relatively cool temperatures for this time of year, the caching journey was quite the grind with the recent wet weather posing consistently thick vegetation, a mosquito paradise and the constant threat of dangerous creatures. Added to that was aketch1's electric fence zap, a stubborn lizard causing chaos at a GZ and a pack of chicken defending 'livestock guardian dogs' not too happy about the presence of geocachers.
Thanks to all the cache owners for placing and maintaining a variety of hides. It's much appreciated.

Ashamed to say that it has taken way too long to log this one. Found while working close by.
Mr H keeps making quick work of his as we are rotating who finds them so someone can stay with our stuff! Loving this trail! Thanks for placing and maintaining these caches
12 month’s later I have a smiley face. Almost gave up, then looking from a new angle spied the sucker in good condition TFTC
A magic day on a bike ride to Q with the boys. Our first find for the day. tftc
Thanks heaps to the cache owners for hiding these caches along this trail!!
I stared my journey early in the morning from Queenscliff in hoping to get as far down the trail on my bike as I could before the rain started to set in. Ended up making it almost to Drysdale until I got my first few drops of rain, so I decided it was time to start heading back. Made it to the car just in time before the clouds opened up and the whole place was soaked within minutes!!. Phew! Lucky I gave up on some of those annoying micros, they do my head in!
Sorry about the generic copy and paste logs, but all caches were in good working order unless otherwise stated. Thanks again cache owners for the adventure!
No luck with this one today, it's likely there but I passed my 15 minute search rule so, time to move on!

Day 6 of the Circuit Breaker Lockdown, which looks like it may be a bigger circuit needing to be broken than first thought. It was a short walk from the previous cache we had found and we had had a very brief look for this cache previously, but were unable to continue due to muggles and fading light. This time we were completely alone, which meant we were able to find the cache. We started looking where the GPS suggested and then widened our search slightly and then had the cache in hand. The cache is really well camouflaged and in excellent condition. Thank you for this cache Phetlern.
Cache is still intact and attached, even though It doesn't appear like it could be as you approach

A report suggests there might be a Throwdown lurking in the area. Off line until we can check in the next few days.
Found this one easily but I wonder if it is the true cache. Presuming it was, I replaced what appeared to be a very temporary log with a pad, and then put the container back where I found it. Doesn't look like a true-Phetlern.
Not in the place you'll immediately suspect. But it's easily spotted from the right angle.
You'll need some reach to get it though, had to tether the geodoggo to have both arms free.
Log is a bit damp.

Great day for a long bike ride. Really enjoyed these cache hides along the trails.some hard and some harder. Ok once you find the right tree.
Thanks for your efforts in placing these for us to look for.

Na, not this time. Are cachers avoiding the long trails. This was in an accessible place. But no logs for some time. Couldn't add to the smiley list unfortunately. Next time maybe. Cheers and thanks for the cache
Since the day we booked the air tickets for our current geocaching holiday to Australia we had been looking forward to hiking and geocaching the Bellarine Rail Trail. We finally arrived in the area last night and so this morning we parked up in Drysdale and hiked to Queenscliffe then took a taxi back to Drysdale at the end of the day (the following day we started in Geelong and hiked to Drysdale to complete the trail). We throughly enjoyed the hike in some truly lovely Australian weather and of course we also found many geocaches, and so many thanks to the COs for having provided us with the opportunity to have enjoyed yet another great day out geocaching! Once in the Ground Zero area this one took a few minutes to locate but suddenly there it was. We signed the log book and then replaced as found. Thanks so much for the cache and greetings from Zimbabwe

Out on the deadly today to do as many of the C2Q series from Drysdale to Queenscliff before catching the train back, most were quick easy finds while a few took five minutes or more til they were found,

This log is to tidy up a mess I made with GSAK . I forgot to apply the template so my finds were published with a nonsensical log.
Rather than try and edit all the logs I post this not with what the log should have been.
My apologies for the confusion caused.
A few days away with Freddo, e.gregory1 and The White Dog Gang.
Fun was had by all. Not too many dnfs
Most logs signed as FETT.
Thanks for all the caches.

Cache was found in the last place we looked, which as usual was not the first place we looked.
Found whilst cycling the beautiful Geelong to Queenscliff bike trail with Freddo, Team Waldron and e.gregory1 - we've signed as F.E.T.T.
A hot day but great scenery and good co-ords made for an enjoyable ride

Found with Freddo, Team Waldron and thewhitedoggang on a short, post-Christmas sojourn to Victoria that involved plenty of driving, cycling, walking and even some boating and wading.
The weather was on our side (albeit a little warm at times), which made for some great caching. There were plenty of varied finds, with some excellent and often tricky hides and and just a few DNFs. We signed most logbooks ‘F.E.T.T.’
Thanks Phetlern for the cache.

A cleverly concealed cache using a method we often employ. Once we had spotted something familiar it was " game over". Another down on a great trail. Thanks Phetlern.
We are spending a few days on the Bellarine peninsular before the Christmas crowd arrives and today are riding the trail from Drysdale to Queescliffe and back so I have the opportunity to grab a few caches on the way and back. Thanks AusFox for a string of caches along a lovely trail. This cache was on the ground over the fence so I was lucky to recover it.
In the area to explore by geocaching .
Have been picking bits and pieces of this trail .
Many more to find .
Lovely area to visit .
Thankyou for your contribution Phetlern

Out and about with Bogonghazy to try and reach the 5000 milestone. No where we thought it would be but quickly had the log signed before the next shower. Thanks Peter and Helen

Made a few circles and had just started to read past logs when we spotted the cache. Might be the last one for the day. Tftc!
On our weekend to Queenscliffe with our new bikes we chose this track to ride on the nicer days of the cold rough weather. The posts for these will be generic sorry but only 2nd time riding and caching - a little harder to manage. I will say that we had alot of fun and enjoyed the various cammo. We also got to see the old train go by and will earmark the rest of the trail on return to the area. Tyftc

Took nothing, left nothing.
Thanks for the geocache placed here for us to find today.

With the goal of reaching 3000 finds at our event in Melba Gully, with the glow worms tomorrow, I was out today needing 30 odd caches so that could happen.
After doing the last section of the trail on foot it was nice change for some drive by's and a change to rest my feet for a bit.
A nice easy find here one I followed the GPS in the the caching trail to find it hanging and easy to see.
Thank you Phetlern for the hunt

On what started out as a cloudy threatening sky, ended with a perfect caching day.
This will be generic, so apologies in advance. Thank you to all the CO's for their hard work and maintenance. We will keep you posted if we find any issues and/or anything of interest. Us geriatrics need some motivation to get out there and combine with some pedals is fantastic.
Special thanks to Phetlern for their thought and ingenuity. Always amazed with some of yours.
For this one: All good TNLN
