Great HideThanks NiceNannies for the cacheJames0116Saturday, 30 Sep 202312:58:26 pm ACST3847
On the 14th of September, 2019, a youthful but slightly bored Otter googled geocaching. With 30 minutes he found his first cache, and the rest is history. As I commence my fifth loop of the calendar, Ive piled everything in the car and have no set agenda except to be back by the 20th. Should be fun.I made the mistake of starting to read some previous logs before even arriving at GZ for this cache, and so it meant that I pretty much knew what to look for. Still, well executed. Wouldnt be easy on a busy beach day, but all was quiet today, despite the warm temperature. Thanks for this hide GroovyGranny47.
Great hide and good camp. Easy find with yummy az eats. Thanks for bringing us to this beach Tftc
We should have found this cache a bit earlier today, then this could have been our Number 2s find of the day.

25After setting up camp in Kensington SE RV Camp, Pa and I set out in search of caches back down the coast towards Cape Jaffa. This was one of the caches we found on a wet, wild day. TFTC Groovygranny47 SL
There was no way that we could venture onto the beach today.

A quick find with frmen1. Not game enough to go onto the beach in our AWD. Great cammo. Left more swag items. TFTC
A beautiful morning, sunshine, light breeze and not a sign of rain. We were having quite a fun day until mid afternoon the rain started. Our day consistered of finding a variety of caches, AL's and a few DNF's and finding us arriving back at home at a much later time than we had wamted to be.
We had a lovely lunch at the fish and chip shop near the jetty and we found a fantastic place that we can bring our caravan to when we want some time out.

Wasn’t sure about the location of this one…would have struggled to explain what I was doing if a muggle appeared but the hide was pretty sneaky and clever !

Found while with my Shatzy on a short break. Found cache easily enough as when I arrived the lid was off and cache empty except for a small toy. Placed new book in bag and secured container properly.

A quick look around after a walk on the beach and before the rain meant that we didn’t need to look for shelter. A good find. All in good order. TNLN. TYFTC

Day 3 of our long weekend trip to Millicent. Today was more of a sightseeing day. Up to Kingston and back, taking side roads to caches. A pleasant day.

Find # 10593
Found with sharkiefan.
Back in SA, caching around the area with out base being Millicent.
It was 2 years ago on the March long weekend we were last over here. (That was pre covid/lockdown days.)
We had a great time, back then, and when we got home it was only 20days later Vic went into full covid lockdown mode.
The world has changed somewhat since then, but caching still gets us out n about.
And it is kind of fitting that we are back here for a planned interstate caching trip to get us both back into an area we enjoy (not ta mention I always enjoy the SA caches n trails)
This trip we are both armed with some new gear for the new trails. And i had a few caches targeted to help achieve some challenges and stats.
Once again it was a great little break from the norm of life back home.
Today we toured from Millicent, hit the coast n made our way to Kingston SE. Then cached back to Robe, checked out some camping areas and finishing the day in Beachport with Ad Labs.
Bit of a risky grab but thankfully no smell today.

All the Geocaches are located and logged using some or all of the resources of GSAK (Geocaching Swiss Army Knife), Garmin Montana 750i, Montana 680t, Etrex 35, Samsung S20+, Samsung S9, with Geocaching App, c:Geo, or Geooh Go, and Android Auto and other maps... or often with just plain old dumb luck!
---
Please do stay safe when caching.
Lookout for mud, snakes, surprise cliffs, wild goats, wombats, bulldust, and lightning,
try not to get tetanus from rusty mint tins and don't fall out of trees...
-- -- -- -- -- -- -- but especially lookout for bugs. [xx(]
Make sure Travel Bugs are the only bugs you share and pass on
We really appreciate all those placing quality caches out and about around the countryside,
it keeps our game safe, fun, and interesting

Well there's not too many options where the cache could be here. After fiddling around with everything nearby we finally found the cache. Nice one. Tftc

Staying in Kingston o/n we headed out after dinner to see the tourist spots and find a few caches.
We were not sure if we should be tampering with what we thought was a good possibility of being the cache but we tried anyhow and came up trumps.
Thanks Groovygranny47 for the placement.

So we did it, we took the plunge and early last year made arrangements to sell our little hobby farm in South Gippsland and ‘do a big lap’.
No full lap is complete without a lap of the little island first.
So after tidying up our affairs and putting everything into storage, we celebrated Christmas with our families and hit the road.
We recently spent 7 magnificent weeks in beautiful Tasmania, then we just did a quick trip down the west coast of boring old Victoria, making our way to South Australia, crossing the border before Covid strikes again.
Looking forward to slowing things down as we spend time in SA with no return date planned.
Thanks for being one of the CO’s who supplied us with a cache to do on the way.
This one was most enjoyable.
