Over the years, geocaching has taken me on many adventures, including interesting destinations all over my home continent of Australia and many overseas as well. It has also introduced me to a diverse group of like-minded caching tragics, many of whom I now call close friends.
Today, I was lucky enough to be out and about searching for caches, something I do on almost a daily basis. This was one cache that was targeted and found.
Sorry for the late and generic log, something I am notorious for. Thank you Hawaii-Geofor adding to the adventure that is geocaching.

#5059 - 13:25; After a very nice coffee and cake in the CBD, I needed to walk off a few calories, so headed off east along Kalakaua Avenue to collect a few more of the local caches. I had reached the end of the road and decided to continue along Diamond Head Road to collect this cache. Encountered the local chicken near GZ and like the chicken, I crossed the road to get to the other side and the cache. Dropped a TB which started its journey not far from the sea in Australia, to continue its travels. TFTC Hawaii-Geo
Quick find on my run this morning, was only 6.25 miles so a quarter of the way haha, thank you, log is abit damp and old
Found it everything is waterlogged needs replacement papers didn't have any on me tftc though nice easy one
As we approached GZ was dreading the search but turned out to be easy and quickly in hand. Log is very weak as has previously been wet. TFTC.
I decided to go out and see if I could grab these two caches on Diamond Head Road. I found both of them - first try for this one. Of course you drive by within feet of the cache but there is no place to park - I managed to find a place .2 miles away and walk back. The cords are way way off and there is little chance anyone will find the cache without the hint - the hint makes it a dead ringer however. SL
Found the cache today whilst out walking around Diamond Head. Struggled at first but the found the right place. Visiting from the UK. Love the island, the people and all the caches! TFTC xx
Just remembered to say I signed the log on behalf of wanderlusta on the date found xx

Came back tonight, was having a hard time finding this cache. Finally gave in and called CO, he confirmed we were looking in the right area but still wasn't finding it. Expanded our search and found the cache 7ft away from the pole. Called CO and he said that is was not suppose to be there and asked us to place it where it was suppose to be which we did. Glad to turn this DNF to a smiley! Thanks for the cache!
Looked for a while but couldn't find, I left when I got yelled at by a passing muggle
Thank You, Thank You, Thank You !!
Our first trip to Hawaii on a 23 day military leave break and a much overdue vacation.
We started on March 20th 2015, flying into Honolulu, Oahu from Victoria B.C., staying in Waikiki for 7 days.
Spending our Easter in Hawaii and then it wasn't good enough to enjoy just one island, that we then on Easter Sunday, flew over to Kona and stayed at the military camp in Kiluaha Volcanic Park on the BIG ISLAND for 4 days. That was already built into our itinerary and such a worthwhile visit to see our first ever volcanoe which was another bucket list item checked off.
Then the next 10 days, we flew over to Las Vegas, rented a car and headed out to the Death Valley, ET highway and a couple of other power series, and then my 3rd trip to the Grand Canyon. This was more spectacular, because I crossed off 2 bucket list items. (Taking a helicopter ride for 50 minutes through the canyon and hiking to the bottom on the Bright Angel trail - and then the climb back up... ugggg)
This holiday in Hawaii, I am proud to smile that Lefty526 and I captured, several puzzle caches, several Virtual caches, and many regulars. We were able to smile for 2 webcam caches in HAWAII (although both we had to take our own photos) (thanks BINRAT for trying) and so many memories only the camera SD cards will help with recreating for us.
So much to say about our vacation. For the Oahu puzzle caches, I can thank my good caching friend in Canada for the help with the puzzle info.
This helped us see the most fabulous sites all around Oahu. Well done on the organization of the caches to all cache owners.
And special mention to BINRAT and helper JOSIE for the score on the ALOHA puzzles.
I want to say HAPPY EASTER to all the cache owners, even though I am back at home now and the start of logging our caches. !!!!
We (lefty526 and myself) have to admit we have had quite the trapesing around Oahu. The ALOHA series was one such special series that brought us
to many places which we probably wouldn't have seen otherwise. As with this virtual.
This was the perfect way to see many of the important "special, do not miss" places
around the island of Oahu. We have tackled several caches each day so far and so far only a couple of DNF's.
Thanks for the spectacular tour of both HAWAIIAN Islands we visited.
Taking the roof off of your activities....outdoors in the freshair.

After a wonderful trip to Oahu and Hawaii with my love freshair4me it is now time to log all of the caches we found during our holidays. We did some planning on places we would like to visit but a significant part of our Oahu travel was through the ALOHA puzzle series of caches. freshair4me had some of here "Geocache Fanatical" (BinRat) friends help out with solving the puzzles but it was up to us to make the finds. For the amount of time we had in Oahu we did quite well along with some wonderful hikes, a Luau, several virtual and earth caches and a very moving trip to the Pearl Harbor memorial sites.
On the Big Island we stayed at the Kilauea Military Camp which is inside Hawaii Volcanoes National Park and only about 2 miles from Halema'uma'u Crater which is very active and a must see at night. After many more wonderful hikes and drives the Hawaii portion of our vacation was over and then on to Nevada (ET Highway), California (Death Valley) and Arizona (Grand Canyon) before making our way back home to Victoria BC Canada.
Highlight of our Hawaii trip was Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, everyone should see this place.
Thanks to all of the CO's for their efforts, if it we not for you this sport would not exist.
Cheers and happy caching from Lefty526

After months of planning it was great to be out today finding this cache. Puzzles were solved well in advance and we really wanted to see smiley icons spelling Aloha. Time prohibited how many other caches we did and our total for the day was just over 50. Hawaii-Geo was awesome in driving our hire car with the experience of a local and adding snippets of interest as we travelled around. We found time to enjoy the beauty of this island and we had a wonderful day of caching to mark Bruce's Birthday and the start of our 3 month trip in the USA with our travelling companions The Drovers Thanks to Hawaii-Geo.
USA road trip 2015, traveling with Liz and Bruce.
Week 1, day 2 - With Hawaii-Geo has our guide (and driver),
we had a great day picking up a good variety of caches around the island.
Many thanks for placing this cache, Hawaii-Geo, for us and others to find.
