Today I took advantage of the Nambour show holiday and made a last-minute decision to tackle Kenilworth Bluff. Solo, but undeterred by the hazardous terrain, I scaled the shortcut and bush bashed across the entire bluff and made it back off the mountain just after sunset. Bruised, beaten, lost at least twice, but victorious nonetheless. In regards to the puzzle, I had looked at it many, many times, but with no clue on solving it. I had basically given up. A few nights before the hike, I had another look at the puzzle and everything fell into place. Quite simple actually if you use the clues scattered around the cache page. I continued to trek along the fence line "until the end" and spotted the tree from the checker photo. I soon had the cache in hand and was working back Eastward along the fenceline, bashing through the long grass and lantana as I went. Thanks dahumbug!
I first noticed this puzzle sometime during lockdown a few years back when I set to solving all the puzzles on the coast.
"Let freedom ring!" I cried.
I'll start with a one man revolution down the road i must travel.
Despite the dark clouds above I'll use maximum fire-power to keep California dark and then when I finally get to the garden of gethsemane and see for myself that house gone up in flames, the battle hymns will be sung alongside union songs until there's no one left.
Probably still won't matter because
Flesh shapes the day.
Cheers for a cracker of a puzzle I saw through like exray glasses.
For the puzzle, for dragging Tupperware to here on the bluff nine odd years back an' for unconsciously encouraging me to come up here with great company to hunt it down by bushbash, 'ave another green heart.
My second 3.5/5.

Thanks to our assault on the bluff I now have a mountain of backlog… oh wait, wrong cache. This is one of those puzzles I looked at in my newbie days and had NFI. I thought NightWatchman must have been a caching friend of the CO’s. It wasn’t until I had plans to hike up here that I took a proper look at it. Then it was a very simple quick solve because the penny dropped . I actually really like the creativity, and coupled with the find being our final one for the day, it deserves a FP. But mostly because it was just so lovely around GZ. We had the nicest breeze and fantastic views, and we exited the bush to an amazing sunset. I’m so glad we saved it Until The End.
Continuing our walk on the top today we made our way to GZ where the cache was spotted. Log signed and replaced as found. Last time we were here we had solved the puzzle but ran out of time to get as far as this one so it was nice to make it here today. Thanks the Nightwatchman and dahumbug for the puzzle and the cache.
Teamed up with Janet (janetwil) for another assult on the Bluff, on the last occasion we had to turn back as we didn't want to descend the Bluff in the dark. So this time we started at first light and with fabulous weather it was an enjoyable walk.
Finally made it to the end, walked past the cache to start off with then saw on the return. A FP for the adventure. TFTC dahumbug

I'm still getting around to logging all of these Kenilworth Bluff caches. Talk about a "Mountain of Backlog"! You'd have thought I'd gone "To Infinity and Beyond" or faced "Bug's Bluff" on this "HumBug Mountain" for me to have been so slow in logging this one.
The "Chain of Events (was a) Challenge", although you'd think that the "Sound of Silence" would have helped me to get the log done promptly, or even "Bug's Shortcut", but no...I just procrastinated until I could "Maker (some) Magic".
We had a great day, lead by our fearless leader. We truly conquered this "Not Too Shabby" location.
Thanks, Bug

Yes, it was at the other end .... and we still had to cross back over to the other end.
Finally I made it up the Kenilworth Bluff - as a part of the group Dupper'sM+Ms when we took off after the Magic Maker Event.
It was a long day getting to all those finals, the waypoints inbetween and putting out new caches. It took about 8 hours from leaving at the carpark to get back there: up and down, up and down, again and again. But I made it.

This puzzle was solved by myself with a nudge or two along the way by Small Wombat who definitely has a lot more braincells than me.
But I am so glad I managed to get the solution once I was on the right track.
You definitely have to read every part of the cache as a clue, which is what I didn't do at the start.
I put another swap in for the cache.
Good spot for lunch here.

Found with the Bug's bugs team out on an expedition as part of A Worthy Bluff Bug Bash event with dahumbug as tour guide. Somehow I did not have this one on my list of finds at the end and only realised today that I missed noting it down when I logged the Calgary 100 trackable that one of the team took from this one and realised that my photos did not match any of the other caches I had on my list.... so set about today a couple of weeks later solving the puzzle.... At first, I thought this was too hard and wrote down the lines for J to look at later as he is more musically minded and this seemed to be along those lines. Then before I totally put it aside, I noticed something on the cache page, which led me to google whether that had anything to do with it and then I found what I needed to figure it out. Got some numbers but the checker would not agree, even tried to convert my camera co-ordinates where I took the photos but this didn't help. In the end it was just one digit I had wrong, so after several attempts with the checker trying many options for that one digit, I finally had success. Glad to solve a puzzle myself without any help for once! Great idea for a puzzle.
It was the deputy that was my nemesis in the end....
This is where we had a quick lunch, as there was a bit of grass to sit on before retracing our steps for the way back.
It was a great day for the trek, not too hot and not too cold, with great views, good sized team of 10 that we didn't lose anyone along the way and very interesting terrain and differing habitats.

Kenilworth Bluff time. This climb has been on the list for quite sometime. So crew today were Snickersallan, The Green Geckos, Muggle65, Davidwazza, spiderwebbs4, FlutterbySquishy, and the special guest Dahumbug.
I had a good chat with everyone, we all had lots of fun today. It was a big walk and I was bit sore at the finish.
So today we had two cacher finish a loop. The Green Geckos 16th and Dahumbug 14th. For me I found my 7000 yippee.
My haul today was 13. The breakdown was 4 mystery, 2 wherigo, 2 multi, 2 letterbox, 2 traditional and the event.

This was a puzzle that I had only solved about 1.5 weeks prior to today's event. Despite my trouble looking at this puzzle, I certainly prefer some logic and research, versus a time-heavy Jigidi puzzle. After finding the right source, I soon followed through on a promising method, however I had made one simplification/assumption early on, and so my coordinates weren't coming out. A PAF to the CO, and it was then that I realised my error (cue headslap moment), and the GeoChecker gave the thumbs up to my coordinates on 8/07/2022. Overall, a well-executed and put-together puzzle!
Today, the primary plan was the hike up Kenilworth Bluff. An early departure had me driving via Montville, detouring past the northern side of Lake Baroon to check out the spillway. I then made a few driveby stops before arriving and setting off on our group hike and attending the *A Worthy Bluff Bug Bash* Event. It was a long walk around the bluff's plateau to the extent of the nature reserve, before returning back just as the light began to fade. I then made the drive back home connecting to the M1 highway via Gheerulla, following the quickest route.
The Kenilworth Bluff hike consisted of Brislions, dahumbug, FlutterbySquishy, kungfuchickendingo, Muggle65, Snickersallan, spiderwebbs4, THE GREEN GECKOS and I, and we departed around 09:15 hr from the car park, and arrived back around 17:30 hr, so it turned out to be an epic/long day. My statistics recorded the total distance of 12.3 km, covering an elevation of 646 m. I was nervous about the previous days' weather in the region, however the forecasts were correct with it clearing up over Friday evening, and we had good hiking weather all day today. We also had some terrific views from the bluff, having full 180 degree views across the valleys and hills/mountains. We took the Bug shortcut up, which turned out to be a great route, and then continued along the bluff following loose trails north-west to the nature refuge's boundary, before proceeding back, and then taking the defined track down skirting around the bluff. There had been a few washouts and landslides since dahumbug had previously hiked up here, which meant it was slow going returning back. Highlights within the group included Brislions' 7000th fine, and D-T loops gained by dahumbug (14th loop) and THE GREEN GECKOS (16th loop). Unfortunately, FlutterbySquishy's phone was a casualty early on as she attempted to follow the Wherigo adventure. A detailed search and endless phone calls failed to unearth it, and it became a sacrifice to the Bluff. Overall a great but tiring day out!
We certainly made it to the end with this geocache, and after arriving at GZ, it wasn't long before the cache was located. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. We signed the logbook as "Bug's Bugs" in order to save space. Thanks dahumbug for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

Really enjoying the walk today. Conditions are way better than expected after some really wild weather and the cool makes it very enjoyable. Turned out to be a great lunch spot where l ate all of mine and half of Muggle65s. You work up an appetite up here. Hey, l have fast metabolism ok?
Happy to say I found this one, signed the Bug’s Bugs into the log while Butterflysquishy placed in some swag.
It was time here to stop for a bite to eat . Gotta love a great egg sandwich.

A walk on Bugs Bluff has been on the to do list for some time. At least a few things lined up and the weather was ok too. From the road the right of way for the trail was seen spotted and down the long grass we went. Certainly a lot of water has been through the area as can be seen from the photo of the car in the creek or is that the alternative waypoint for the parking co-ords. A 4.5h round trip which should have been done a little fast but work calls had me over shooting by a few hundred meters for some caches at times. A bit of wild life around and great views up top.
It took a little to spot the way up when leaving the track but once far enough off the track a new one appeared. Some loose items on the way up but soon the top was reached. Nice short cut.
Fortunately we made the right signs and took the farmers fence to miss a bit of the scrub bash.
We completed the signing duties as we took in the view.

Seventh of 10 for the day.
Love a music-themed puzzle (in fact, I'm yet to publish a puzzle cache that doesn't have a music theme...), so I was quickly onto what was required to solve this one. Without giving too much away, the subject would easily have qualified for my "Great Guitarists" series down on Mt Coot-tha...
Some different scenery again here, and a much easier walk to this cache from the previous one than I’d envisaged when looking at the map. I recognised the GZ hiding spot from a photo in a previous finder’s log, and soon had the container in hand. Now to turn around and haul a*** from the western end of the plateau to the eastern end! Thanks for the cache, dahumbug.

I had a bit of a problem solving this one. Luckily I had lots of time to discuss it today on my walk with a very lovely bunch of cachers. Problem sorted and I got the tick once back home.
The walk was fabulous and every time I do a good bush walk I just want to get out and do another. If only life didn’t get in the way.
TFTC the Nightwatchman and dahumbug for your time and effort in these cache placements and your guidance today.

I'm sure a few of the Kenny Krew missed some of the seven stages but the very generous and helpful guide made sure we got the prize in the end. Lovely walk around the top of the mountain and I can't believe that really tall burnt out tree is still standing near GZ. In the end this was a great puzzle and a favourite point from me

No one knew who gave the orders, no one asked about the crime... no one looked behind the curtain and no one questioned why. The only time we had was right about now...
...and now was the time to find the cache and sign the logbook! And yes, that is exactly what we did. We then admired the cloud coming in around us and were grateful for the views earlier. Thanks for another great cache, Nightwatchman and dahumbug!

Continuing along the way under guidance of the CO we made our way to this GZ. After signing the log there was a little bit of standing around talking about what was happening next. There is a photo floating around somewhere that truly shows how my mood at the moment was reflecting the incoming weather . It was getting a little chilly and I was thinking of the choices I made by leaving certain things in the car.
With the realisation I couldn’t just duck back to the car before continuing on I turned the frown upside down and quickly followed on behind the person leading the way and with that pace I soon warmed up.
Yet another great hide in the area. Thanks dahumbug

An event was called to hike this mountain and surprisingly quite a big number of parties showed interest.
Off we went for a 7 hour adventure. The CO was a great tour guide for the day and put a few extra surprises up for us. Even the rain couldn't stop us having fun all way long.
Thanks for a great day hike and excellent caches!

I joined my first geocaching group hike today and it was a good hike to join! Collected all 9 caches on Kenilworth Bluff, covering almost 10kms. The day started off overcast but dry and we could see the top of the bluff from the car park. Good thing we took a photo at the start because by the end it was covered in clouds we were all pretty wet!
It was a tough start climbing over 300 stairs but then descending again once we reached the top! We trudged along, up and down and then scrambled our way up the rocks to the top. Once up the walk along the top was pretty good, a bit of bush bashing here and there but we had some good views early in the walk before the clouds rolled in and covered them up.
The climb down the ridge line was interesting as the rain started about half way through the walk and made the rocks wet. Slipping and sliding we all made it down in one piece!
It was a great day out with great people and it was good to tick off some more spots in my D/T grid. A massive thanks to the CO who has put a great range of caches on the mountain and for guiding us along the way.
Trekked to the edge of the bluff for this one, the clouds were now closing in around us so it was time to get the raincoat out.

By the time our little group had arrived at GZ, the clouds began rolling in and it was a relief to be turning around to head home, with many detours along the way mind you.
Despite how remote it had felt hiking to this point, suddenly we were almost back to civilisation (if you can call a cow paddock civilisation) Log book signed and we loaded the whereigo ready to the next part of the adventure.

I was invited along on today's outing by fellow cacher's, Orange Crew, Chamad and CO Dahumbug who would be carrying out some maintenance and checking in on his cache's.
After a strenuous climb up the steps, and a bush bash up to the ridge it was almost a relaxing walk along the top of the Bluff. By relaxing i mean getting whipped in the face by the grass trees, stumbling over the uneven ground, walking into the monstrous spider webs and their inhabitants, dodging the leeches and sliding on the wet ground AND we bloody loved it.
This cache was a nice find due to the spot on coords. Container and log were in excellent condition.
As this was our turning point for the day we decided to sit, chill out, get our breath back and have a bite to eat.
TFTC CO. Love your work.

Onward we trudged, up and down hills through waist high bracken, stumbling over unseen logs like drunken sailors. Up the rise, it felt like the ends of the earth, until we approached bright sunlight. Aha it's a clearing, and then a barbed wire fence with cow paddocks on the other side. Maybe we are closer to civilization than we thought!
Through the long grass making plenty of noise, and then we found the cache, signed our monikers and had a nice break for lunch, with a cool wind blowing. How nice!
Proud to have solved this one without any nudges, clever puzzle.

Out today with Orange Crew and Team Tyrrell to continue my challenges of a trad a day and a cache a day, plus grab a few fun and different caches. I had mentioned to the guys I needed a few special caches a few weeks back and a plan was made to complete the 8 or so outside Kenilworth and up on the bluff. We were lucky enough to have the CO to join us on our hike as well, who also wanted to set a few more in the area.
Some flat bushy land, lined with natures biggest and best spiders and webs, a path that seemed to appear and then disappear just as quickly, then a clearing and a fence and long grass. Hang on it’s a cow paddock, you mean we could have driven up to here, but where’s the fun in that?
Making our way to the final of the puzzle, the cache was found easily, nice and dry and with the log signed and cache returned it was now time for a lunch break. The coolness at the top did have us rugging up and still the chatter of the old timers continued.

Saturday. After walking along a cattle farm fence, we continued until the End! This was an absolutely terrific walk and the breeze was just great. Even for a winter’s day, the day was heating up so the breeze was much appreciated. We found the cache in very good order and we stopped at this point for a spot of something to eat and drink and rest for just a few minutes before heading off to collect our last cache on the Bluff. This series is fantastic!
This was the 5th of 7 caches found on today's trip.
Thanks ***dahumbug***, for showing us this place.

Last weekend I was at the pub sipping away on my third beer when I got a message from Slow Puncture to turn my attention to this puzzle. I remember it so vaguely because I was wrapped up in a velvet blanket of warm fuzziness unlike the walk out to this cache. I’m now cursing myself for solving it at the pub (side note: there needs to be a challenge cache for drunk mystery cache solving) or wishing I’d had a few more beers to block out the pain of this walk.
With no trail, no ribbons and no sense it was up to Mr 4ando to lay down the geotrail from hell. He cut a perfect swathe amongst the endangered, vulnerable, and protected plantlife on the edge of extinction without a care for any fragile biodiversity. Never have I seen anyone so committed to finding a cache whilst trying to eradicate certain species of plant from the face of the earth. I was starting to struggle so I was happy he was committing environmental murder for my benefit.
After finding the cache it was time for a rest and bite to eat. I needed to sit my backside down and I don’t know what hurt more, my bum or the ground. My bum wasn’t actually sore I just needed a valid reason to feel and massage it in mixed company. The word went out that we were halfway but that was a blatant lie. The only way we were halfway through our walk was if the bluff had a hidden escalator. tftc

The only way we were halfway through our walk was if the bluff had a hidden escalator. tftc
Mr 4ando was in the lead and was having no plant stand in his way, at first we were trying to find some sort of clearing but in the end it was only Mr 4ando that didn’t have a clearing, by the time he bulldozed his way through, the best geo-trail lay in wait for the rest of us. Braking through the lantana, he pulls up short with me nearly careening into his back. ‘What’s happening?’ Haha, I see his arch nemesis staring at him in the distance beyond the fence. No he ain’t afraid of no cow, but where there is a cow there could be a tick. We know how much these little pests love him and how much we have spent on meds for him to recover from them, out with the bushman’s spray and a bio-nuclear field is surrounding him.
We trudged through the long grass following the radiation stream coming off Mr 4ando. After making the find here we had a bite to eat, just as well really as we were getting to cocky and didn’t realise how long it would take us to get back down, so the extra fuel was well harnessed.

The last leg , what is not clear from below is that there is more climbing to do , along defined tracks (not).being the only idiot to wear shorts , any lantana was bypassed , leaving us a little to the right at the fence line, some great T bones singing to the critters from the bush ,quick trundle to the cache ,signed, rested ,less adventurest way out was found , Great series ,

Heading to GZ for the last cache and we had to climb again. Nooo. [xx(] And it was the most over grown part of the trip and felt like the hardest, we wouldn't be tired would we. I think it was Andy had earlier said the pub at Kenilworth started cooking staeks at midday. That was well and truly gone by. ]
We got to the fence line and crossed through. Meet with a bull that was all noise thank goodness as we couldn't have run far.
I found the cache and the log was signed. Thank goodness for that. A great day and a lot harder that I thought it would be. Glad I have done it and I won't be back.
We looked at our maps and decided on an easier way out and made it back to Konies car. Was really good to sit down.
Thanks for the company Col and Andy. Was great to share the adventure and look after each other back.
Faourite point for the series and effort dahumbug.

PS. I think I will have to block your phone number Col.

This was our last target and the going started to get a bit harder as we neared our target WP7, the fence. We were serenaded by distant cows on our journey and the vegetation forced us further to the right of our target but we eventually made it and were greeted buy the cows and a very big bull.
Thankfully the bull wasn't a problem and we headed off for the final GZ.
Once at GZ the cache was soon in hand and after signing the log all was returned as found.
We then sat down and decided the best route back and after a decent rest headed back to the car. It was nice to get back to the car and the view of the bluff took on another meaning.
Thanks for the great adventure Nightwatchman and dahumbug and it was also great to give the caches some love after 18 months.[^]
A FP for the adventure.

found today in the company of a great group of fellow cachers Swellerfungus, SayWot,. JezNDez, VikoCZ & Walandor Goldielover not with us now as a last minute phone call changed things here. We all camped at Charlie Morelands last night except Saywot who met us this morning at the designated parking spot.
A nice enjoyable hike down to some stairs the start of a great days hiking. Quite some staircacs here which I really enjoyed. Although it got the heart rate up a little. Loved the cache here and enjoyed the remainder through out the remainder or the hike. We took the short cut straight up from the second cache which I think we were all really greatful of. May have been a little bit of a scramble for a short distance but great fun. Did not take too long before we were at the top enjoying some magic views. The cars looking very lonely way below us. Very pleasant walk along the flat up here grabing the well placed caches along the way. A little bush bash at one stage but soon out in the open where we met up with a red belly black out sunning itself. We pushed past it out to the Bluff end and had a nice rest and bite to eat. VickoCZ checked out his G-Earth maps and decided a little gap in the trees ment a track back to very near our last remaing caches up here. Off we head to check out his observation. Nice stroll up the fence line to the track. Yes it was spot on and delivered us easily to with in 80 metres of our target. Very impressed!
The rest of the hike now mostly down was now taken in our stride until the short climb up to the cars.
All safely back and now into Kenilworth Pub for a well earned Beer and lunch.
Thanks dahumbug for your great caches. Had a ball up here.

Found with the crew listed below - They all summarized the day of adventure very well. Thanks for the cache.
The call went out via Enriquez the pool guy (he’s from What3words, Bolivia) that Kenilworth was the place to be this weekend. And as fast as you can say “what’s that Lifestraw doing in a poodles backside” we had a group of 6 choosing to head off on Friday after work to camp at Charlie Moorland campground, and one or two to maybe come the next morning.
After fighting the Friday afternoon traffic, we finally managed to get together for a nutritious gluten free, vegetarian, sugarless and halaal McDonalds feast. After stocking up on life’s necessities, including a stop at the local bottle-o, we finally made it to camp.
It was here that the capricious nature of our evanescent neighbors shone through. What lovely people they were – full of love for there fellow camper!
A night of stories around the campfire ensued, telling of good deeds, knobs, showers and free beer. Finally the night came to an end, as Viktor demanded an early start so that he would have time to do his hair and makeup before heading out.
As we pull up at our start point, we meet up with SayWot!, and one of us decides to pull out (the group was particularly nonremittal about this), leaving the 6 of us to tackle the hill. What followed was a rollicking day of laughs due to some sterling Dad jokes in preparation for the following day I expect!
What a great walk. We managed the scramble up to the ridge, and used some impressive and creative navigational skills to find a hidden road from our furthest cache of the day directly to our last two. I dips me lid to our master navigator of the day.
A few shaky legs on the way back to that car, and that last hill up to the car park is just a bit OTT really.
Thanks to my companions, and to all the CO’s for bringing me back to this wonderful walk.

Team effort on this one; Jez, who was at work making sure we are not found to be *nonremittal* in paying our bills while Dez staggered up here with a bunch of other cachers, saw straight away what was required, and Dez did the legwork in doing the research, made the numbers fit, as well as the literal legwork (oh god, the stairs!).
After a great night round the campfire at Charlie Moreland discussing the little known source of fresh drinking water; the *poodle*, fending off *capricious* bogan neighbours and storytelling (expect to see Robert De Niro playing Stairman1 in ‘The Knob Saga: Breaking Showers’ at a cinema near you), we packed up and headed up the bluff.
We came a direct route up the ridge, which involved a tiny bit of bush bashing, but with only minor scratches, out we popped near the fence waypoint, where VikoCZ & Stairman saw a red bellied snake basking in the sun before it wisely scarpered. This made us a bit lairy of the long grass, so four of us did a little bit of trespassing in order to walk safer ground, while the two eldest laughed at us and ploughed on through.
Once at GZ a quick find was made and near the cache we stopped for a bite to eat where Walandor, SayWot? and I were lucky enough to witness an amateur photographer capturing the *evanescent* peace of a pair of silverbacks sharing a log and a snack before the chest pounding starts.

to add next point to an "overnight hike" statistics, we had to start friday evening driving to one of the camping places nearby. interesting is that i was navigating to the wrong one, but arrived to the correct one - how cool i'm not sure why were our neighbors called capricious and evanescent (sorry, i know it's cowardly), they just probably prefer snoring better than talking about using life straws to drink from poodles.
there were few highlights of the trip, i'd sort them as follows:
1. stairman lending me very comfy mat
2. dem exchanging my warm beer to cold one
3. simon not hurting much himself as usual
everything else was okay, we found few nice caches, saw red belly sneak, enjoyed good path, enjoyed bad path, fantastic views, panoramatic rim descent and i've learned few new words like puddle, nonremittal (even windows correction didn’t know it) and that buffalo wings are not made of buffalo.
thanks a lot for inviting me to this trip and all COs for placing caches at this lovely area!

Our last for the day, time to head for home, it will be a long day. Thanks dahumbug {:)]
Quick find. Nice easy walk with nice views. I have been in this area before to do Stairway to Possibilities. I thought I wouldn't come back, But then I felt the rest of the Kennilworth bluff caches calling my name for a return visit. I went a different more enjoyable way this time and admired the huge rock formations. Before I even got into the walk right bacjk at the start as I was heading toward the bridge I saw a 2m long skinny black snake on my right. I let out an involuntary girly scream. I think I scared the snake and it slithered across the path and down the embankment very quickly. I don't know who was more scared. Out here nobody can hear you scream.
CDAH55 identified the caches on Kenilworth bluff as being unloved and we organised with Dora the Explorer! to find them today. Unfortunately, Dora couldn't make it in the end so it was just CDAH55 and myself.
CDAH55 had some insider knowledge saying that the best way to go is straight up the spur rather than down into the gully. Co-incidentally, I met the CO at an event tonight and he said that it's actually slower to take the spur. I wish I'd met him last night. LOL.
After collecting a cache at the far end, we then had to traverse all the way across the ridge to begin the really gnarly stuff to get to this one. On the way, we decided that the climb down the cliff to Stairway to Possibilities was a cache too far.
I saw the rope, the blue ribbon, the yellow ribbon but I did not see the pink ribbon. As a consolation, I just kept the fence waypoint as my goal and bashed through that horrible stuff worrying constantly about the unidentified snake that had slithered between my legs and the possible hordes of other snakes he was rallying to his cause.
Finally arriving at the fence, I came up with some very imaginative names for the CO none of which are printable. When CDAH55 joined me, it was a quick, easy stroll to GZ and then we had to retrace our steps. :-O

We had planned to grab all the caches from Kennilworth Bluff to show them some love and attention. Initially the arrangements were made with Dora the Explorer and Venn Family x 1 to take on the chaallenge but unfortunately Dora the Explorer was unable to make it so Venn Family x1 and I met the challenge.
This puzzle had been solved for some time so today was the day to turn it into a smiley. After grabbing all the other caches on the bluff bar one we set off to find this cache.
This was definately the most challenging cache for me and after battling bracken firm, Wait-a-while and other tangly plants whilst ascending another 70m and having to stop many times just for a breather we finally made it to the fence waypoint. This was the most satisfying waypoints of them all.
We stayed at this position for a while to drink some water, catch some breath and prepare to go to the final to locate the cache.
Arriving at GZ, we looked at a couple of spots before the cache was located.
When located the log was signed by both of us and returned to the cache and the cache replaced exactly as found. The worst part of this is that a return trip was required but as it was mostly down hill it was certainly a lot easier.
All is good with this cache.

I had made a posting about doing a walk up Northbrook Mountain and ended up hiking up Kennilworth Bluff but that is part of another story. So today the suspects who kinly offered to let me come along for the ride (well walk) included teamdfl, Brother Colin, IolantheK and T-Tech.
Now somewhere I recall a sign which said Kenilworth Bluff Family Park , fun yes and the other bits are right but I wonder how a family might go with that stairway, the steep gully and the near non existent trails. That said we all had a great day out on these parts.
Now I'm sure BC took us the hard way there and now looking at Google I'm sure we took the hard way back as well. Then up this little hill I'm not sure there is an easy way.

Out and about today for a big hike with a group of fellow geocachers. The group consisted of teamdfl, IolantheK, T-tech, Ruzzelz and myself.
With a stupid o'clock start we headed north arriving at the start just before 9am.
with several caches planned to on we had to make sure we did not miss any way point information along the way.
Down first then let the UP begin with a warm up of 320+ stairs. Yes someone counted. Then a short down before the UP begins properly.
From the last cache we travelled along nicely until the pick tape. Then we bush bashed up to the fence.
This cache was the fifth we actually signed after reaching the top. Now to bush bash back to the track. [^]
Five down, a one more to go.
Thanks for the cache.

This was the gaol for the day. The last cache I needed for the July spelling challenge.
The puzzle had been solved a few months ago ready for the trip. This was one that I managed to work out quite easily thankfully.
The trip from the previous cache to this one was not the easiest. Did we go the wrong way?? Who knows?? Was there an easier way??? We did not find it for the trip back, so maybe not.
I suspect that this leg was where we all acquired our tiny little guests. Not sure what the final score was, but I think Ruzzelz was the only one to escape the little blighters.
It was a nice quick find at GZ and all we had to do was get back to the car. Not that far away at all as the crow flies, but sadly we do not, and we had one more cache to find on the way back. [:o)]
Thanks for an interesting walk dahumbug and some nice caches along the way. [^]

Today was the day for a big adventure teamdfl and I were keen to get one of this CO's caches up on Kenilworth Bluff for a Challenge we are working on, and of course while we're up there, we'd better grab the lot! So we called in some buddies who we thought were up for the adventure (T-Tech, Brother Colin and ruzzelz) and after meeting up bright and early this morning everyone piled into the Pajero and we headed north.
After a couple of hours of hard slog getting up onto this hill, collecting the two multis, noting the numbers for a puzzle and grabbing the two traditionals, we finally reached GZ of this one! And it's our target cache for the day! Wahoo! GZ was obvious, and teamdfl made the grab. Very pleased to get this one done, as it completes the J-U-L-Y Challenge and is also my last one in that series of monthly Challenges, so a happy little fairy here [^] One more cache to be done up here, then it's time for the hard slog back to the car. TFTC, dahumbug.

Up rather early, met at the rendez-vous location, pile into one car and make for Kenilworth [^]
So begins the 12.5Kms of teamdfl, Brother Colin, Ruzzelz, IolantheK and I all over Kenilworth Bluff Family Park
This cache was the second or third of the second of fourth cache and the first of the two multis or was that...well I found this one [:o)] Such was my mind after Multis crossed over puzzles and Traditionals
All I really know was we did lots of "walking", and came back after seeing some great views with some awesome company [^]
Arriving at the final after a bush bash from the "Fairy Kingdom"
Nice easy find, Prayed for the CO, and shot the Deputy, I think
BC how do we get back to car [?]...more bush bashing

Today's mission was simple. Get all the caches on this big rock, survive in the process and hit that sweet 500 finds!!
Started the day off at around 8 am, thought to myself "heck, ill smash these out in an hour or so." Boy was I wrong. Followed the path to the way point suggested that i start climbing. I thought this cant be right. quick look on the map suggested I was kidding myself, so I started my ascent! Reached the top and explored from there!
This one was most certainly the hardest. The density of the forest was unbelievable, and with no path it made for an interesting walk (not sure if could call it that ). This cache marks find #500 for me, a milestone in my 10 months of geocaching. This hobby is unique, and I have seen and experienced things I probably never would have. Hats off to you dahumbug for placing these caches, a fav point well deserved.
I highly recommend these caches to anyone who is up for a serious challenge. I can honestly say you work for those D / T ratings!

Gotcha !!! Thanks to Austpark for agreeing to accompany me to this cache even though he'd found it back in October. So... An easy walk along the top and then a bit more climbing and a bigger fight with the dreaded lantana saw us come out at a fenceline . From here an easy stroll to GZ. Thanks Corey for placing these caches to challenge us. ( By the way Austpark and Temingi's combined age is 136 years ) I enjoyed the whole day. Pity we missed looking for the Stairway cache , but I guess that gives me a reason to come back to the mountain another time. Another Fav. Point from me ...... .....Even though we managed to get into a HUGE area of Lantana on the way down and our decent time estimate of 1 hour turned into 2 hrs. Plus we left a fair bit of DNA behind. Cheers Temingi.
Seeing as I was up here anyway might as well keep going until the end and see what I could find. After a bit of a walk and some bush bashing dabom81 and myself popped out up at the fence. Wow! Who owns the land next door? Certainly would be a nice spot for a house. We continued down the fence line and soon we were at GZ, dabom81 made quick work of finding this one.
We left our signatures and then replaced the cache as it had been found. All up our adventure this morning had taken us two hours and forty-five minutes. Now to get back down.....
Thanks for the cache dahumbug

I was chuffed to solve the puzzle and because it is close to home, I had hopes of finding it earlier, but that was not to be. From the start, it appeared to be quite steep, so Austrees was never to go on this one, much as she would like to.
I asked a friend who has climbed Mt Kilimanjaro, walked Kokoda and treked in Mongolia to accompany me. He is also known to a number of geocachers in the West Cooroy Forest as the poodleman. He walks his two poodles regularly in the Forest and one weekend assisted some goecachers to navigate their way around the Forest. His first availablity was the Wednesday.
Many thanks Poodleman for the company.

Combined *FTF* with eatmorchiken and seffnjarah.
After dahumbug and I accidently ran into eatmorchiken and seffnjarah at the parking coordinates, We joined forces on the hike to cover all the caches on the Kenilworth Bluff.
This cache is at the furthest location to get to up on the bluff, With stairs to climb, a couple of creek crossings (today they were dry), a short four limb scrable up to the ridge and a good bit of a bush bash.
I recommend this cache and the others up here if you do like a challenge, It took us 6.5 hrs and 11.4 km, But we did have an exstended stop at a special location. Today was only about 24*c and I went through 2.5Lt of water, so be prepared and plan your trip.
Thank you James, Jeff and Corey for today. And thank you dahumbug for doing the hard work in getting caches up in this nice part of the Sunshine Coast.
TFTC and the Walk. A favorite from me

**FTF** with Eatmorchikin and Coolumroo. Eatmorchikin had brought to my attention during the week this puzzle cache with a FTF opportunity. I promptly solved the puzzle and talked about opportunities for making the find. Circumstances meant it would be some time before we could actually get out this way. Somw wise words from Mrs eatmorchikin meant that we could actually make the attempt on the FTF today. Picked up Mr eatmorchikin just after 5am in Brisbane and headed off. A lovely drive through the countryside to our destination. Some quick preparations and we were ready to go. Just as we were leaving the car to depart on our hike another car pulled up into the car park. Damn some other first to find hunters we thought. In a moment of pure serendipity out hopped dahumbug, the CO, and Coolumroo, the namesake of this cache, on their way to plant a new cache. The newly enlarged crew headed off grabbing some other caches along the way. Followed the waypoints and the odd faint track along the way until we hit some thick scrub. No tracks here, just bash your way through the trees and grasstrees and the odd prickly vines. This is where you earn your stars on the terrain rating. Finally made our way up to the fence line and were soon at GZ where it was a simple find to round off a wonderful hike. Another classic dahumbug cache. Tftc.
Joint *FTF* with Seffnjarah & Coolumroo
Noticed this little GEM by accident. Contacted my T5 walking buddy seffnjaerrah who promptly solved the puzzle. It was going to be several weeks until we could get some time to do this one after we found out there was another FTF up for grabs in the same hike, the lure was too great and some other things got pushed out of the way to make an opportunity.
Seffnjarah drove his new ride and after a false start with the alarm clock (Eatmorchikin) we were on the road by 5:30. After pulling up at the parking coordinates we were excited to see no other vehicles of possible cachers. Just as we were prepping to leave, another vehicle pulled up (oh no) with more bushwalkers (oh no) and they were cachers (oh no no) but it was the CO (yay!)
We teamed up an started out. Yup, lots of stairs. Certainly sets the pace for the walk. Half of the walk was on trail but once on top of the ridgeline we were making our own way pushing through thick dry forest. This was the last find of the day. Lots of excellent views and the souvenir of a FTF on a T5!
