Logs
This cache has been in a state of disarray for nearly two years. The CO has not logged in for a year. It needs to go!
Just wondering how it's going with this? Though there is now a TB hotel south of the airport this one is/was in a location where more people are likely to call in on their way to the airport and yours is more secure than the other cache in the immediate area so we miss your one!
Sorry about the hold-up on the cache.
I was approached in December with the caches location by WCC, and had to re-submit a permission form, I have been waiting for re-approval from WCC.
I should not be that far away from being enabled again.
Sorry for inconveniences.

Thank you.
Sorry to cause any stress. We picked up some TBs on Wednesday night and haven't had a chance to log them. Only one seemed to be msising. I will log them this afternoon.
The ones I picked up will be winging their way to San Francisco next week.
The tool did seem to need some maintenance.
Thanks for maintaining this awesome cache, and once again I'm sorry for causing the panic.

I'm heading north, so picked up tb to take with. There's only one tb left in the cache.
Came back here today to drop off a TB, and pick up any that want to go up country.
Thank you

Great cache in a very cool spot. I came here today to check out the where it was so I could come back and drop off some TBs in the future.
I recorded my name in the log book while I was here.

We have been here, and logged this cache before under our usual team name of Butterfly_Lady, but this is a special visit to drop off Frodo TB within a couple of hundred metres of the Weta Stone St studios where the Hobbit movie motion capture scenes were filmed, and the Wexford Road Weta Digital hub of software engineers did their magic.
Another magic day in Wellington, sunny, calm and enjoyable for a walk up this hill.
Thanks for the excellent cache construction and placement location.

Wow best cache we have found on our visit. of course it's worth a fav point as all the rest we have found have been mint tins and pill bottles. great cache thanks for the effort gone into the cache. dropped off a tb and picked one up. Day two of our road trip with jordiporsche from hawkes bay to welly and return. Log signed as b&p.Tftc Methods. Find # 3234
A really clever cache that we enjoyed finding. Was an awesome view from up here. Loved seeing the runway from this point. Picked up a TB. Thanks for the creativity creating this cache. Fav point from us
I had to drop someone off at the airport this morning, so I thought I would call in here and get this one - finally! <3 it! Didn't pick up any trackables, as i couldn't move them far. A great hide! TNLNSL. TFTC!!!

#38 very apt cache name! After wandering in circles we sat for a clear view of the sea. Impressive cache. Muggles with dogs quickly came and went. Left Edmund the intrepid Explorer TFTC
Very cool cache. The screwdriver needs a bit of maintenance as it is no longer a flathead. Love the hide. Very very well done. What a view!
#126. A beautiful Wellington afternoon to find a beautifully constructed cache! Took my geo-cacher granddaughter, and Mrs Winz (GB Leader) out for a walk up the grassy knoll, and found the pod without too much difficulty. Well worth a fave point, and thanks for a superb cache!
Dropped of Turtrax the travelling turtle to start his world trip. Mr6 says "this geocache is very well hidden"
What an awesome cache. Best one in Wellington I've done since I arrived. A fav from me. Drop off 3 tb waiting to leave the country and picked one up to carry on its journey.
Very well done, down here from Hamilton for the weekend and decided to go out and find a couple while here TFTC
Crikey! I didn't ever know this park existed, and how easy it is to access, a top spot. I was very impressed with the work put into this one and the FP's awarded are clearly well deserved. It was getting a bit dark so I didn't linger, a quick sign of the logbook, and headed off again.

So nice to see a cache like this And what an amazing spot! Thanks so much for bringing me here, I'll be aiming to pop in again before any international travel
A quick visit today before our trip to South America -- I feel like there's a couple of tags that want to go on a journey!
First cache since our wild roadtrip nearly a month ago. Dropped off a couple of TBs we rescued from the remotest caches from the journey, and we know they'll be safe due to the muggle-proof design of the container. TFTC
Now that's a proper cache, much better than a pill bottle stuffed behind a fence post!
I had been waiting until I had a trackable that needed to leave the country before finding this cache, and today had two that we picked up in Taupo that have been stuck in NZ for too long. Hopefully they can get to their destinations. +TB TFTC.

Found with Greenslime while down in Welly for the weekend. Decided to find a large cache to hand over two trackables that had been with me for a little bit and needed to be released. One wanted to go to Australia and even though i went last week i couldn't easily find a cache they would fit in! So here they are Girl Guides and Kangoo TB ready for some travel. Excellent spot for a cache and while it was cool to watch the planes come in and land on a perfectly calm day (yes what are the odds) did anyone else notice the security person who just 'happens' to go for a wander when you go into the park? A little big brother.. but no worry for the stealthy cacher. TFTC great design.
#796 What a great cache, definitely gets a favourite from me. Admired the incoming planes from near by. Did not even know this park was here despite using this airport frequently. Swapped x2 TB with 2 that JimmyNZ dropped in. TFTC!
Wonderful cache! We appreciated the hidden tool too although it is wearing to a point so we will bring our own when we return again. There were no TBs looking to travel domestically but we will be back before we next travel overseas. A FP from us and tftc.
Wow! Awesome!
We have looked at this cache on the radar for years, each time we travel to Wellington from Hamilton, but never really had the time for the walk, or the weather was discouraging.
Today both the time and great weather aligned, so we are here at last, and really enjoyed the hide.
Now we know how simple access is, we may be back with a few bugs to launch.

I visited The Energy Pod to drop off two trackers that need to head overseas. I was there right on sunset, which is always stunning.
While I was there I peeked down the hill at the back-lot set for what I assume is Ghost In The Shell, and the sea of trailers. No filming happening on a Sunday night, seemingly.

Wow, this would be the best cache I have ever seen! The time and effort that has gone into this one is superb, well done, 5 stars, top marks. Great place to have a stop and look around. If you're a plane spotter then this is the place for you. You can't beat Wellington on a nice day. Looked at all the TB's, took one and left one. TFTC
Awesome camo! Beautiful evening. Managed to extract, sign the log, pick up a TB and replace before a family of muggles headed up the hill. TFTC.
Rebel98 had asked me some time ago would I enjoy a very cheap flight to Wellington from Auckland via Grabone to head off to see Mana Island just north of Welly,.. off course I was in, why not.. and today was the day that all happened! So I flew down to Welly from Auck with rustynz and supernanny as my companions early this morning and Rebel flies down later tonight, (we pick him up later at the airport). I had a few caches loaded with a heap of fav points, and this one was one of them. So after picking up the hired 2016 Toyota Corolla we set sail for an awe inspiring day of caching, the 3 of us. This cache was the first we did upon leaving the airport, we were not disappointed! The 83 fav points was well deserved and I will add another. Well done Methods for a VERY interesting cache, we had many laughs here the 3 of us. A great way to start our fabulous day of caching here in Wellington!
Was very excited about our 3 day adventure to Wellington and Mana Island !
( Although still a bit sleepy after getting up at 4 am to catch plane from Auckland ! )
This one was chosen for our first as it was near airport and had heaps of favourites!
It is very cool indeed ! As I rushed to gz I could guess straightaway where it would be !
Although prob muggles wouldn't even realise !
Thanks so much Methods ! We all loved your ingenuity ! Fave !

Arrived in Wellington with supernanny and Gorby, an early 5 am start, with a flight to the capital. After picking up the hire car, it was a matter of navigating our way to the nearest cache, which was this one. A bit of a hill climb, the views are amazing! we all descended on GZ with many hands, the log was being quickly signed. Thanks for the hide
The top of the hill a few yards away is a great spot to watch the aeroplanes. I chatted briefly to a security guard who seemed to be a bit lost, right on the hill top. I'd assumed he was associated with the airport, looking for individuals with malicious intent but no; he was watching for people trying to spy on the nearby film studio. Dropped a TB. TFTC
I have come over to New Zealand from England because my sister lives here so we came here for a holiday. This is the best geocache I have ever found loved the screwdriver. This is the best one I have found in New Zealand and Hastings England. And I have found 240 caches. Thank you very much for the cache!! Took 1 TB and dropped my brothers Jurassic park Geocoin in its in a race. Adding a FP
A small hike up and spotted something that didn't look quite right. An ingenious hide. Dropped a bug for international travel.
A great find, we could not believe this cache. Definitely worth a FP. We enjoyed the view from this area as well. Thanks for going to so much trouble to set this up.
Found it and found my first track-able, I am going out of town over Easter so hope to move ti on then.
We weren't sure what we were looking for, but this exceeded our expectations!
Thanks for the tip about replacing the camo, while looking at contents (we had a muggle come past quite suddenly while we were "playing with our toys").
This cache deserves our favorite point due to the detail (we appreciated the hidden screw driver too (still works, but getting a bit rusty)).

I got accosted by Peter Jackson's security guard trying to find the way in here. Should have gone a bit further up the road. Seems some people can't read or count, as the pods were all in the wrong order. Fun cache though - Thanks.
Without a doubt the best geocache I've found so far! Absolutely loved the walk the view the hide! Great job!
Picked up someone's Lil ducky on the way too hehe!

First time i have logged a trackable. I think Eggbert Esel will enjoy a visit to our Aussie cousins.
This cache was brilliant best one I've ever seen. We were supposed to do it on our way to drop off hire car but that turned to custard so after we dropped car and checked in I came back to collect. So glad I did as would have been gutted to miss this dropped 2 tb and picked up 2 tb TFTC!!!!
A fun cache to find a bit of a slog on a windy day. First one for the day after hopping off a flight to do a bit of North Island caching. tftc
Awesome cache to start the day with, really appreciated the thought behind this one. TFTC
In the area for business, which finished a little early, so why not use my time before my flight wisely and find a few more caches. I had this on eon my radar before leaving Auckland. Plan was to visit on the way out. After rounding the peninsula collecting a few more smileys. VERY NICE CAMO. Tool was not required, but still very good fit.
I dropped 3 travelers that want to get back to North America, two of these, I picked up in Hong Kong. Discovered a nice collection of travelers waiting for their departure flights. I Picked up Amore The Teddy bear to show him around the North Island. I will visit again. TFTC

Great find on a wild windy Wellington day with Harlandia family. Muggled another cacher while there - nice to have his input. Loved this cache
Great cache thanks. Super find in the Wild Wet Wellington Wind with Harlandia family
Blustery day watching the planes take off and disappearing into the clouds. Spotted fellow cacher too - but it was too cold for the Harlandia minis to wait for too long!
Wanted to do this one as it had so many favourites I can see why! My boys loved it.
Cool cache construction put in some TB's and took out some, helping goals.
Will write up better when at CPU.
Cheers

November in Europe, the dark month, neighter autumn nor winter: short days, rain, fog. Everywhere unlucky people.
But now we are in NZ. Early sunrise, mighty green and flowers everywhere. Happy cows and sheeps also. We delight look forward to such lovely challenge. Thank you NZ. Greetings from Germany, from the mountains of Harz. TFTC

This was such a sweet find. I brought my multi tool so it was not an issue but I didn't happen to find the mentioned tool at the cache site.
Goodbye to the Maui Dodge! Hopefully someone will bring abroad before the 15th. I will certainly be back for a pick up before my next international trip.

A beautifully made cache. I am off to Thailand switzerland, England and Hong Kong in a few weeks so picked up a few traxkables.
I had wound my way from the other side of the bay back around to the airport however still had some time to fill in so decided to head up and take a look at this cache. Having not read anything about the cache I got here and took a little look and saw nothing that would work.
However I decided to have a quick read and sure enough knew what I needed to do right away. I had something that would suitably substitute to get my access, and sure enough cache was soon in hand. I got my name in the log book and dropped in a TB before replacing and moving on to another.

Visited and dropped off Stripey Car trackable to continue travels either in NZ or overseas. Picked up two others.
HockeyHiker19 and I were on day 5 of our geocaching honeymoon in New Zealand. We were in the area to find Geocache by Kevin Anderson (Wellington) and had time to go after the other nearby caches. We thought this one was near the parking lot and discovered that it was back across the water. Not to be dismayed, we went after it just the same.
Greetings from West Sacramento, California! Papa EGTH and I are on Day 5 of our 19-day honeymoon in New Zealand. Today's route takes us from Napier to Wellington, where we'll catch the overnight ferry to South Island.
I really wanted to visit this one since we will be returning home to the USA later this month. I had forgotten, however to bring a TOTT to open the cache and while Papa EGTH headed back to the rental car to retrieve his multi tool from his pack, I thought I could try to use a TB to open the cache. Fortunately, that worked without too much damage to the tag! I traded 3 for 3 and discovered the others. Thanks so much for this cache! I really enjoyed the setup and a favorite point is awarded.

My grandad and I found this cache while on our eighth and final day of our New Zealand trip. We had a few hours before our flight back to Australia and decided to check out this TB hotel. One of the best TB caches I have ever found - awesome hide!! Was great to see all sorts of TBs from all over the world. Dropped off one and picked up another which I will help on its journey. Thanks for a brilliant cache to finish off our trip of New Zealand! Greetings from Canberra!
Great ingenuity creating this cache. A quick pop up the hill to find this cache on the way to Auckland and then a little further afield tonight.
Together with wb-jnr I grabbed four TBs to take overseas for dropping off in days to come.
This cache gets a favourite point from me due to the work that was done developing it, the creativity, and the beautiful vantage point for watching planes come and go.
Thanks for the cache.

Quick walk on a wet day to set Donald on his way to his next adventure after picking up a friend from the airport. Great catch. .... not a great day.

1177 Down in Wellington for work again. Workmate heading back to Hamilton so jumped the taxi and caching my way back to central. Bit windy at gz. Deserves a favorite.
Dropped two tbs off to start their race to England. Good luck kiwi banana monkey and paua dolphin!
Been wanting to find this one for a while. Sadly all the trackable a were outward bound
