Thank you for the cache. Out on the trail with PomTom44. Hopefully someone is able to adopt the trail as will be a shame to see it archived. Great series of caches sadly we had a bike breakdown so didn't manage to complete the Paeroa - Te Aroha section of the HRT.
Day #2 of our two day adventure doing the Rail Trail with BearCache #47Total found so far: 42Took a while to find, but finally after determining it wasn't there, had a look around the area and found what originally thought was rubbish blown down into the bush may have been the cacheLong arms reached in and pulled it out, and sure enough was the cacheContainer not in a good shape, but signed, and returned in a proper place
Yay last one for the day. Turnaround point and headed back to Te Aroha. Nice late morning/ afternoon relaxed bike ride. Note: log is full. Container is brittle.tftc.
Quick easy find- even though we were biking so fast we crossed the road and had to turn back- oops TFTC
Nice to have a break.on the rail trail. Log is full and plastic container has split.
It's day twenty of this months Wheel of Challenges challenge, the streak, and today I needed to find a cache. So I found this one.
Having spent the night in Pukawa, today I was making my way north to Hamilton, and then across to Whiritoa, and then down to Tauranga. I had a handful of specific caches marked to find along the way for various reasons.
This one was on my list as the coordinates help me with a challenge cache I am trying to complete. All good here, log was signed and everything returned as it should be.
---
Thanks to vectis for placing and maintaining this cache. I enjoy each and every cache I find, and it is only with CO's like this creating them and placing them out in the world that this wonderful game continues.
[DGSc-Bulk] tagging to help me generate a list for GC30AD8 - DGSc Challenge.

Nice find, log is wet (unable to be signed), walked out as a group of 7 riders were coming
Out and about on a wet windy day with Tobesjm. Thought we would collect a few caches on our way to Thames.
Out with my gran collecting a couple of caches on our way to Thames. The cache is a bit wet
Day 14 on our holiday in New Zealand. Today we are in the area and surrounding area of Hamilton. We also visited this tradi, found it, and signed the logbook.

Was driving past this way today, so made a slight diversion to come and amend a previous fail to find. Nice quick find, TFTC
Found - Mrs McMike2012 & I now live full-time in our caravan & travel the country visiting places we want to visit … we are now parked up at Te Aroha for a few days … as the weather was supposed to be fine, we decided we’d ride part of the Hauraki Rail Trail (HRT) today, doing the Te Aroha to Paeroa Section & return … thought it would be rude not to check out some caches on the way … this one turned out to be an easy find … pleased to add another 'smiley face' to the tally … TFTC ... TN:LN:SL ... #2,874 for us.
School holidays so biking from Paeroa to Te Aroha with x2 tweenie witches. TFTC all of them have kept them going.
Been in Auckland visiting family. Now heading home. Stayed in Paeroa last night at the railway reserve. $5 for a camper van so well worth it. It’s right at the start of the cycle way. Got up early this morning and headed out on the bike towards Te Aroha. Made it about halfway. Found 12 caches and 2 DNF. Quick find. Cache all fine. Thanks for the smiley.
We were cycling the Hauraki Rail Trail from Te Aroha to Paeroa and back (46km). Quick find here once we found the right hint item and we were back on our bikes. TFTC
One of 11 located on a ride along part of the Hauraki Rail Trail today with the intention of enjoying the ride and picking up a few caches. This was another quick find. Turned around at this point to head back to Te Aroha and to look for the caches we hadn’t already collected. #3567. TFTC.
Quick little park and grab. Finally starting the wonders of the world. Beautiful day out here today. TFTC
Up from Hastings visiting family, thought I'd do a bit of caching in this area on this bleakish day. Good quick find. Cheers
The Hauraki Rail Trail is closed while the Covid 19 rahui is in place. Anyone geocaching during this time is putting themselves and others at risk by handling the containers, stash and logs. So this cache is disabled until this present emergency ends. I reserve the right to disable any logs dated after the lockdown started.
Mrs rattll was back on the trail this morning with the intention of riding through to Te Aroha.
Lots more people on the trail during the day time, which meant having to check carefully for oncoming muggles in both directions before starting the search.
No problems making the find here.
Thanks for putting it here to entice me along this trail

I'm caching and running the 22km to Paeroa while our son plays cricket. Thanks for the series! A few cyclist around.
With rebel98 on our way to the Coromandel for a few days
Found some nearby parking and was soon retrieving the cache. Thanks for the hide vectis, many years ago cycled this trail, but was not caching then.

We have been progressively walking the rail trail over the past few months and headed out today to continue the Paeroa to Te Aroha section.
The weather wasn't great but we weren't going to let that stop us, in fact it gave the trail a nice mysterious feel so we saw it as a positive.
This was our first cache of the day and was a nice quick find. TFTC.

We were despairing over the weather today, however we decided to give it a go and see how far we got along trail. We were trying out our new suspension posts on our seats and we managed quite a way before turning back. We will do the rest of the trail from Te Aroha end another day. It turned out to be a lovely afternoon and there n back we covered 23.5 km which is not too shabby. Quick find here. SL. TFTC.
Found during my second visit to Hauraki Rail Trail. This time did Section D: Paeroa to Te Aroha - 55km both ways with some extra caching in Paeroa and Te Aroha. Great hides and enjoyed my bike trip so much. Light wind on the way back but much easier than previous time.
Found replacement left by previous Finder but half meter away. As is so light was moved away. Replaced with stone inside to help keep it as per hint.

I wondered why the trail just didn't go straight across the road instead of having these barriers! I saw some cyclists just lift their bikes up and over rather than cycle around.
The cache obviously gone, so replaced it with a small round thing with new paper as per the hint.

NZPatoto organised the day trip in her motorhome, filled it with food and loaded bikes on the back. We set off to find 15 caches - 13 smiles and 2 DNF. 15 of 15 Well we looked and looked at all the posts and could not find it. Z MasterNZ found it in December so it should be here but no not that we could see. TFTC
Nice day. I loaded the bikes onto the motorhome and packed food into the fridge. When Nahkins arrived, we headed off to do HRT from Te Aroha to SH26. Had a stop at Waihou(cache) then parked at back of Councils parking. Set off to find 15 of the Trail caches. Found 13 DNF 2. The other DNF. We searched for quite sometime as Z Master had found it on 17/12/17. But we couldn't find anything. We were bang on with the coordinates, Looked up website and discovered there have been a DNF on 5/1/18. Not sure what Z Master did with the cache. Was last for the day. We rode back to Te Aroha a bit gutted.
Out in the area, starting off with some of the HRT caches, haven't been on the bike for awhile and decided to put my new bikerack to good use. Don't let the copy/paste log detract from the effort you've put in to set up this trail.
TFTC vectis, the cache was found in good order Signed, sealed and returned to GZ. 7 find(s) of 7 today, making this find #1668

The end of our geocaching adventures for today. Time for lunch at the cafe! Tftc
