We were reluctant to archive this hide which we placed in 2013. When the cache was placed it was at the back entrance of Bunnings. Bunnings has since moved and this once quiet back street has become very busy with other businesses, and a new Bowens is about to open.
As we are moving out of the Gippsland area we are unable to maintain this cache. At the time of archiving, Hardware Heaven had 47 favourite points. We have removed the cache and it's camouflage.

Trickier than you might think. If someone hadn't have left it exposed for us, we may not have found it. Worthy of more than a 2.0.
After a week of heavy rainfall (90ml!) we were all itching to get out on this long weekend. We had recently created a list with the ‘most favourited’ caches in our region and noticed there was a glut of these in nearby Warragul. We had a lovely, chilly day finding 13 geocaches with the geokids and dog.
This wasn’t at the hardware heaven that we initially thought it might me. Lucky for us, cos that one was packed with people, whereas GZ was super quiet on this public holiday. We soon located the clever camo, well worthy of a favourite point. TFTC

Cute little critter, our 1st find. This could be a great family activity. Thank you
I really liked the well made camo on this one! Didn't fool Mr at all but I can see how it could stump some finders though! A FP from me on this one! TFTC!!
Very clever indeed!
Beckgiz found it before I did. I was too busy complaining about the stinky trees.
Thanks for the find

Had to do a bit of shopping in Warragul so thought we would tick off a few geocaches in the area before heading home, kind of busy in the area today but nobody really seemed interested in what we were up to. TFTC
Find # 10830
Found while travelling with sharkiefan, on an extended long weekend.
The Sale trip is almost over. Today we packed up and headed for home (well Werribee for me for the night)
We targeted a few caches along the way and added more to the list as we went on our last cache was going to be in Pakenham but with a new Virt in the city we detoured and We even managed to get the FTF, This city grab sparked more smiley gathering and after a walk around the MCG an the tennis courts i had added another good handfull to my list.
This would have to be the best end to a great loooooong weekend out.
Great little construction here.i overlooked it but sharkiefan was on the goods.

Our journey back to Melbourne after a long weekend in Sale.
I made a list of caches for us to find on the way. We found almost all of them, added a few and dropped a few.
My caching day started in Yinnar and ended at the MCG!
I decided to add this to the list because of the favourite points.
Im glad we did and I am adding a point. Tftc

Nice quick find with a very clever cache housing. Definitely one of the better ones we have found in the past couple of days.
Ensured we placed the cache back properly so it could blend back into its environment.
Caching our way to #1000 whilst visiting from "Fortress WA" this is find #978.

With a long weekend on the cards we had the beach house booked and headed to Lakes Entrance and a lot of fun was had albeit too short a trip as always. On the way there we stopped at a couple of locations to take a break and this was one of them.
Had to stop here with so many favourite points which we are trying to collect for a 100,00 favourite points challenge we signed some time ago. Nicely done, a favourite from me.
Thanks de ja vu for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.

Cool find, great camo (found it almost immediately but I've had a bit of practice) and it's my first find for 2022! TFTC
Went for this one as it’s unique for its location, not your typical bush micro. I was right I absolutely loved it. Such a creative secure cache in a spot that’s built up.
Smelt the fresh timber. Favourite point for sure. Thank you!

Very quiet around here today. GPS was spot on and made the find quite quick. No log sheet in the cache, so I placed a fresh one in the container. Signed and all good to go.
A favourite point added for us as I like to reward caches that are constructed.

We have been trying to do at least one caching run each week since the COVID restricts were lifted for regional Victoria. Our stats were hit hard this year when our plans to do some long trips in Australia were thrown out the window (as were the stats of the rest of the Australian caching community) but now that things are back on track we are trying to find as many caches in Gippsland as we can. We have been putting off a run to Warragul for a while as our current partner on our day trips lives in Warragul and has already found them all.
A very well crafted hide, thank you for this one

We did find it, however was not in the same place it was meant to be. Just dumped out of normal place. Replaced in usual spot and will grab pen tomorrow and log it

Happy Birthday to me.
"What do you want for your birthday dalerious?" [8)]
My caching day with family from abroad started here @2:05pm, our first of a hand full found close to where we were staying.
A clever hide found with Pennstar, IceSquad, Cybergran V and another carload of muggles that we love anyway. [^]

And thanks to my fam' that let me drag them around as I played with satelites.

On a day out in Warragul celebrating our son’s birthday and daughter’s wedding anniversary, we decided to go Geocaching with them and our grandchildren to find caches with lots of favourite points.
This was the first one we came to and I discovered this but dalerious found out how to retrieve it. A very clever hide and worthy of its favourite points. A great start to our day.
Thanks for placing it here for our enjoyment.

Excellent camo. This is my favorite so far. I actually found it quite quickly but really enjoyed it. Well done!
Great hide. Had me stumped with a hint from a friend made it a rewarding find.
Popped into the nearby hardware store to pick up a few plants, and of course a smiley! Love the authentic camo here - I’m sure a muggle wouldn’t even look once, let alone twice! Another fav point from us. SL TFTC
It's fashionable to be late right? Well it is when you have just a few minutes and there are some un found caches..... a quite find, log is quite full and a great hide!

Away for the weekend with omegaman and Happy pants grabbing a few caches. We signing the logs under the team name HHO. It started out as a drizzling, cool morning but turned into a reasonable day. This was another nicely constructed cache. Starting to get the feel for some your hides, so didn't take too long, before make the find and being able to sign the log. Log book is getting full but sorry we didn't have a replacement. Nearly out of fav points but this was worth one.

On a 6 day tour of Victoria with Barnzy12. Taking the red eye over from Perth we managed to visit some great places. The main reason for the travel was the Mega event in Alexandra and the opportunity to find 12 cache types in a day.
We originally travelled to Phillip bay, then up through the country side to Alexandra. Spent a few nights staying high in the snowfields and then moved over to Mt Disappointment. We then ended up back where we started returning the hire car at the airport to fly home.
Some quality caches were found all over the state, great to get a real range of cache sizes with some very large caches compared to what’s available in WA and the range of D/T options so close to each other was a bonus.
Thanks to all the Cache owners for you placements and creativity put into hiding and have awarded a few fav points based on this or the location it bought us too.

In Melbourne with Cravo10 to attend the Mega in Alexandra.
We took the red eye from Perth, leaving at 1am Thursday morning, and departed Melbourne early Tuesday morning, so it was a short five day trip.
We managed to snag a couple of nice stats for the trip. First mega event, 12 cache types in a day, 10 lab caches, 50th large cache find, and most importantly my 10,000th find at Mount Disappointment.
We spent the first day on a caching run from
Melbourne to Phillip Island where we had booked into the local caravan park for the evening. We cached all day chasing down a number of the whereigo and puzzle caches from the CF series, before ending the day caching the extremities of Phillip Island, where we had both never been, an amazing part of this country.
Next morning we cached our way to Alexandra which was the main reason for our trip to Melbourne as we had both never managed to attend a mega, which were hoping to rectify in WA next year! Attended the pre event and managed to get a couple of group FTFs by torchlight which was a real highlight.
Saturday we cached in and around Alexandra all day, chasing numbers, the highlight of the day would have to be the birdbox hides around Alexandra and the multi in Bonnie Doon from that famous TV show, a real nice touch!
Sunday was an epic caching day, chasing down 12 types in a day, which required a couple of huge drives to claim some of the rarer icons around. A huge caching stat which is a very rare feat in the Southern Hemisphere. We finished the day travelling to Mount disappointment where we found Melbourne's 1st cache and then started making a dent in the powertrail, finishing by torchlight.
Our last full days caching was spent at Mount Disappointment to chase some big numbers and with a few caches around the burbs for good measure.
Special thanks to all the wonderful COs around Melbourne for their brilliant caches, and to the mega committee for organising a ripper event, hope to be back next year!

Having just done part of a rail trail nearby, we decided to have lunch in town. Whilst doing so we watching the building storm clouds starting to roll in closer. Not wanting to get caught on our bikes out on a trail in the middle of a storm we decided to attempt some of the high favourite point caches nearby.
Having found a similar style of de Ja Vu hide just recently we made a quick find here.... just as well as the storm was now almost upon us.
Thanks de Ja Vu for placing this well constructed cache.

In the area to attend "7 Months to the event in Alexandra - Warragul". Started the day with only 3 caches we were hoping to achieve. But as with all events cachers talk and here we were on a mini geo-tour of Warragul. We had just grabbed a nearby cache when Mummy Short Legs suggested we should also stop and grab this cache due to all the favourites. Arriving at the location I don't think I even got out of my car when gwd.aussie had his hand on it.
Thanks de ja vu

I have peered at the favorite points of this cache for quite a while now, thinking that one day I must get over there and see what the fuss is about. Today, the convoy of cachers who'd teamed up at the event were nearby and as the two of us who'd not found this cache happened to be the two drivers, we steered the geovehicles straight on over. A quick find was made as gwd.aussie put his hand right on it and I saw the giveaway. He tried something he needn't try; a nice touch that makes the cache more authentic but has nothing to do with its accessibility, and in the end we got in there. TFTC de ja vu, another favourite point from me.

On the way to Warragul for the 7 Months to Alexandra Event and I'm getting an early start to do a few "special" caches on the way down.
One last one before heading for a sausage at the event (or maybe I could get one here). Excellent hide.

On our to do list we pulled up within spitting distance again I stayed in the car whilst Mrs n Jnr Bear and Blazer Triaz attempted to find GZ , wasn't long before my patience wore thin and I thought I'd go check and walked straight up and retrieved the cache others weren't happy at my ease of retrieving it ha ha Great hide none the less
Something out of place they said! just off the path...but still on the path they said...Ms TeamSmokey-Bear and myself started searching around, and 1 look from Mr TeamSmokey-bear, we had the cache and after the log book was signed, several photos were taken the cache was safely returned to where once is lay!

A day with no physical caches found (the geodaughter was naughty during the week, and her punishment was no caching on the weekend)... But I had to duck to the shops to get something for dinner. An "accidental" wrong turn or two had me on the road to this cache.
Having found a few of de ja vu's caches already, I knew it wouldn't be a standard eclipse tin or a sistema container... it would be something devious. Sure enough, it was! Fortunately, my geo-antenna were twitching and had the cache quickly in hand. Little critters avoided, log signed, and now I get to sit back and appreciate yet another quality cache! TFTC de ja vu - always a pleasure

On a trip with ceebee2013 to Warragul to see the excursion steam train pass through, then some cache finding. A favourite point for this one. TFTC.
07/08/2016 - 11.25am - No. 617 - 1st for the day with dgfb33.
I'd noticed that Steamrail Vic had another snow rip on & missed seeing the double engined train pass by 2 hours last weekend. This time we decided we'd see if we could be there at the right time & maybe combine the trip with the Longwarry market. We left just after 9am so the potential to get to see the train at Longwarry was probably too late so we decided we'd head for Lardners Track crossing. Thought we saw some smoke in the distance to option 3 came into play & we headed straight into Warragul & found a place to view the track. We had a bit of a wait but that was no big deal, better early than too late. We heard it's whistle coming from near the crossing & 2 very quick photo's later the smoking bit had passed. Ok... we'll just knick down to the station where I know they will be stopping & get some more photos. That was better! If we'd had more preparation time we could have been a little closer but photo's & listening to the sound were better than missing out again. Steam train fix dealt with .. what to do next [;D]?
Hmmm, what's that in my left hand, aaahhhh yes the finding device, how did that get there? hahaha.
This cache had been on our list for last week's souvenir hunt so I had already sussed out what was what. Finding device had a little bit of a nervy & I had to delete & reload a couple of files at this point (before we'd even started) so we were nearish to gz for a little bit before we had the info needed. Hunted for a little bit before I decided to trust the finding device & look where it was suggesting. Found it! Like the hide & it will now be favourited. Thanks for the cache.
WOW!!! These hides just keep getting better and better. GPS took me in one direction but after finding nothing it was decided to start again.mAt first I thought I had found it but then dismissed it but after a second look I then realised it really was the cache.
