Sweet-Sour I didn’t find your cache Rock Wall on 16/9/2023, 5:18 pm. Had a scratch around for 15 minutes but nothing found.
This one was hard, plus feeling like everyone is staring while we rummage around the wall haha
Ahhhh, a DNF for us today. Sure we’re in the right spot. But sticking hands in dark places was not something I could bring myself to do.
Will return another day.
Will return another day.
Enroute to Hervey Bay for four days and three nights hiking a portion of the Fraser Island Great Walk, we have a full day of caching. We managed an early start, primarily so we could beat the traffic, but also so we find a carefully selected mix of caches along the way.
Seffnjarah had previously DNF'd this one. We managed a park close by and spent a good 15 minutes searching. There were only a couple of deep holes. The cache was not visible in it's hole. Seff volunteered his arm to grope around down deep and came up with the find,

Today Crookedpete, Dez(JezNDez) and I were heading north from Brisbane on our way to Hervey Bay for the start of our 4 day hiking adventure tomorrow along a stretch of the Fraser Island Great Walk. We left Brisbane early to avoid the peak our traffic and this gave us plenty of time to pick up caches along the way.
The visit here today was to avenge a previous DNF back in December 2020. My fellow Bromance compatriots accused me of only inviting them along here today to help clean up my mess. 20 minutes of fruitless searching later by the 3 of us proved it was not only my mess to clean up. It was only after Crookedpete read out some information from a previous log that I rechecked a spot we had all looked in a number of times and found the cache tucked away safe and sound. Logbook signed with The Bromance team stamp. TFTC

Second visit here and very quiet on Sunday arvo. Used my torch and searched thoroughly. Didn’t turn up the cache
One of the easier rock walls to find a cache. All good with this one even though the log is dam it can still be signed. Tftc
Up for a visit over the Easter weekend, have initiated the siblings on the joys of caching. Shout out to the fellow geocacher who shouted some encouragement from her car
Driving back to the Gold Coast from a few days' stay in Hervey Bay, we stopped in Gympie for a bite to eat. Struggled to find a coffee shop, but found one open eventually. Many of the shops in the lower part of town were empty as they had suffered badly from recent floods. Found this cache with the logbook a little damp (possibly from floods) but was fine to sign. Found with IzzyAussie. Left a path tag that I had been given in New Zealand, as this cache container was big enough for it. Most of the other cache containers I have found have been too small to fit it. TFTC.
Stopped in with jodsta83 & Swearah. After a short search I made the find and added our stamp to the log. Thanks
I parked the geo mobile thinking I was right next to GZ and then quickly realised we had a little leg work to do to get to GZ. We arrived in the likely spot and started our search, Stephyy made the fine here while I was having a giggle at a near by sign that directed cars to reverse in and all the cars has decided to park nose in. Tftc Sweet-Sour ️
Driving north with jodsta83 and Stephyy, I was searching a fair way away when Stephyy made the find and jodsta83 gave me a whistle.
Thanks for the cache, Sweet-Sour

Looked at the cache about a dozen times thinking it was a pipe as the rock in front was a bit tight. Give it another go an got it. TFTC
Logging old caches originally found with alphag_25. Now have my own account and logging them separately so that I can claim the finds.
Well, finally the weather has decided it will allow us a few days of dry camping (not totally dry, there WILL be a few lagers involved! ).
Our target area is Gympie and a few rural spots northwest.
Of course I spent my time trying to go unnoticed while searching the WRONG piece of wall only to have Mrs VC walk up & find the cache in next to no time at all!
Made our mark & replaced as found.

My husband and I had a great weekend away from Brisbane in Harvey Bay and today on the way home we were picking up smileys on the way. Took us awhile to spot this hide and trying to use all the stealth we could. Thanks for the fun
TFTC. After the event today , it was time to find some more caches before heading back to Maryborough. A productive day with an adventure lab completed and 17 finds. Unfortunately we DNF’ d 1.
Awesome finish to my Gympie geocaching - for this trip anyway. Time to head back to campsite. And I think my final “natural wonder” souvenir.
Made a quick stop in Gympie to grab this cache as it helps with a hidden date challenge I’m completing. Once at GZ it didn’t take long to locate the cache. Signed log and replaced as found. Tftc
Up here from the Goldie on hols. Lovely town of Gympie. TFTC. easier find than the Robina rocket rock wall.
It helps heaps if the previous cacher doesn't put extra rocks on it took longer than it should have. Retrieved travelbug. So focused on shifting rocks i didn't notice a friendly muggle smiling at my efforts
TFTC!
TFTC!
Nice easy find for the kids. Left the trackable for someone else to move. Took nothing, but left a swap
We still had time before attending a nearby event, so Mr CuriousQuest and I headed to this cacche. We searched and searched without luck. A PAF was made to the CO, who turned up to help us out. The cache was in its hiding place, where we had already looked! We added or names to the log, returned thee cache to its spot, then headed off to the event. TFTC
Got a phone call early in the week from Chamad to see if I could be the taxi driver. Chamad made a list for some caches he was chasing and some Tree Fishing ones to. Plus 2 events and 7 cache types
I found 27 caches today, the break down was 20 traditional, 2 multi, CITO, Wherigo, earthcache, mystery and Community event.
Sorry for the generic log.

Attended 2 Events in the area today so before heading home we just had to find a few extra caches. Deaf Phantom and Deaf Cat had previously found this one so it was only me to find it, soon had my eye on it but needed that bit extra to extract it. Log signed and cache replaced as found. TFTC
A day out with Brislions on an educational journey collecting caches. The night before and I had set up a run with a variety of caches and a range of caches types that we required for certain challenge caches. He had a couple of extra ones to add that he found as we past. We collected a few not on the list as we passed them too and a couple of lab series that we passed as well. It was a good day with a wide variety of caches collected. Thanks for the chauffeuring today Brislions, it was a trip to remember.
After the first event and a few other caches we kept working our way north. We still had a few minutes available before the event started and this time I didn’t want to be late. So we skirted around town grabbing a few.
We arrived to this one finding a couple of cachers already here and on the phone to the CO as they were having trouble locating the hide, they told us the CO was on his way. I’m glad as it was a tuff hide and even the CO had to look twice as the cache had been pushed back further than he would have liked. With some quick maintenance to the hide all was good again for this one. It was an easy grab for us today but given the location of the hide it is worthy of its rating.
I dropped a TB in the cache, signed the log and we then headed to the event. Thanks for the hide and the rescue today.

In between the event in Amamoor and one in Memorial Park today, head off with youngoldfella to find a couple of caches. First cache off the rank was a fishing pole one, as John had the required equipment, he also had the joy of finding it. Second was the wherigo cache. While in Gympie filled in some time with lunch and recued a bunch of cachers at Rock Wall (this one) that were having trouble finding it. All sorted in the end. Off to the event.
Cache is all OK. Happy caching.
Don't wreck the wall, no need.
Read the clue. behind 2 loose rocks.
Happy hunting

Today I was invited up to the Gympie area for a CITO, an event and some caches by Selvagirls so jumped at the chance. Searched for what seemed like ages for this one. TFTC
This weekend, [@jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T) and I decided to make the trip north to Gympie, primarily to attend the Community Celebration and CITO events organised by AtTheLakeHouse. We had only driven through Gympie previously, so it was a chance to sight-see the area. Highlights included Yandina's Ginger Factory, Gympie Gold Mining and Historical Museum, and the Mary Valley Rattler train.
Today, we made the journey up to Gympie, and stopped off at Yandina to see the Ginger Factory. We attended a bee workshop/presentation, and filled up with honey tastings, which was great. We continued the drive to Gympie, and after checking in to our accommodation, we visited the Gympie Museum to learn about its gold mining past. We then spent the remaining few hours of daylight completing the *Gympie Gold or 'The Town that Saved Queensland'* Adventure Lab and visiting various geocaches around town, and it also included some gold fossicking for ourselves.
We parked on the upper, upper level, and then walked down to where GZ wanted us. This was quite the tough one, mainly because of the sheer area of the rock wall, as well as possible elevation challenges. However, we managed to make find within five minutes, and so just needed to get on the correct side of the nearby pillar. The cache container and logbook were in good shape, and the hint was actually great in facilitating our find. Thanks Sweet-Sour for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.
Note that this geocache was logged with the *Team Warren* Davidwazza/jesswrigley stamp.

After a second visit and quite a bit of searching. I had to stick my hand in and feel around, hoping not to feel something hairy or with scales. But hurrah I felt a round container and wiggled it out. Definately glad I got to post this!
Found a good find was abit to find and kids were worried about spiders but a great spot
Had a brief stop here on the way through town to Bundaberg. Too good for me today.
Well gave it a good shot, but time wasn't on my side.
Maybe next time in the area.

A drive up to Gympie today to clear up a few of the caches in this area although maybe not a good idea in this heat!! Really quiet here on a Sunday with not a muggle in sight, searched for a while (carefully so as not to disturbed any more rocks) before the little blighter revealed itself. TFTC Sweet-Sour
Thanks Deafcat and Deafpham for bring us out here tonight. Their hints gave our searching time better
This cache is there, because I found it. Woo Hoo. It was hard and I searched for quite a while before I felt something. It takes persistence unless you just get lucky.
Hi there Sweet-Sour.
We are currently staying at Standown Park, Standown Park. It was originally set up as a Veterans Retreat for ‘their mates and later opened to the public to enjoy. Over the years it has grown to become a "home away from home" for many Veterans of all ages and all conflicts plus their families.
Today's venture had us heading in to Gympie to bag a few caches. As today is Remembrance day, we just had to finish the day with "Remember".
>They shall not grow old, as we that are left grow old;
>Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn;
>At the going down of the sun, and in the morning
>We will remember them.
All up we found 13 caches & DNF'd 0. Thanks for placing the cache here, without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places while we meander around Australia.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found your cache about 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** Nothing.
Regards
Ian & Penny.

Making a circuit of town after a little river walk and needing to head back south in about half an hour. Just a few more on the way...
Quiet street on a Sunday, but lots of rocks displaced. I hope this wasn't all the work of geocachers…!! I hope it doesn't undermine the strength of the wall. Found in a discreet spot, not high so no need too climb. It was deep and around a bend to reach. J managed to grab it after I'd already checked there...

My husband and I dropped in on this one after dinner and it took us a while to find it. There were a few cars driving past, but it wasn't too busy at this time of night. TFTC
A couple of quick caches in town on our way from Hervey bay to Ballina i was able to park very close to the cache.
