Found 3:30 PM. Was out to pick up a friend at Bateau Bay and decided to take a detour afterwards to find a cache. This seemed to be the only one in the neighbourhood nearby that I hadn't done. So off we went my GPS was a bit sketchy and was taking me out towards the lake edge and then from there back to the trees near the path. But still nothing around that area. After looking under, along and in (we thought we had maybe found something in but it was hard to get too) and some stomping around and noting that the area had been cleared by mowing / cutting I thought it may not be there anymore or it was the item in. So contacted the CO and with first a couple of "no not there's" and us still scratching our heads and then a very strong hint we finally found what remained of the cache. At first it looked like all we had was dirt and no log. But buried within was still the log. Extracting it then took a moment. Scratched name into the log which had clearly gotten wet but was dry now we discussed its returning but the CO decided we should bring it in for an overhaul.
Thanks for the bit of entertainment and the cache.
Thanks for the bit of entertainment and the cache.
The last cache before stopping for afternoon tea on our outing with Pesky and family. We walked along the path from the right direction and the cache was spotted on approach to GZ. Extracting it took a bit longer.
Thanks for the hide DOC-WHO.

Got it while cycling around the lake with GeoDirk and HanorahTLG. What a windy day!
Hah! Unlike my fellow geocachers, I was able to retrieve and sign the log. Afterwards I put it back in, but not as far as it was.

Walked down to the GZ and found the cache quickly but, like many before us, we're unable to retrieve it. As many people are struggling to get the cache itself I suggest something blocking the cache from going deeper in, as when we found it it was near a foot deep and when we left it it may have been deeper.
Today we arrived, have set up at the caravan park Toowoon Bay.
After lunch we drove around the coast finding some caches. Amazing coastal views seen.
With the correct TOTT we were able to retrieve the cache. Signed the log but did not push it back in as far as before.
Thanks for placing this cache DOC-WHO

Found cache but unable to retrieve it as it had been pushed out of reach. Could not sign log unfortunately
Tftc. Could not retrieve as it is in way too far. Looks like sticks have been used to try and retrieve and it has been pushed in further. Need a torch to view but we were able to spy it
This would be my first of the day. Reading previous logs, I was armed with a tool to retrieve the cache. Without knowing what I would enconter, my tool didn't work. Before I try something else, I received a call and I headed home. All I did was to disturb a nest of ants. I saw the container, but I'll wait the CO maintenance to come back. Cheers.
Could see the cache with a torch but couldn't retrieve. Needs a piece of wire over 2 feet log to hook it back out.
Seen it but could log it as it is now stuck even further inside. Someone needs to get it out somehow. Mason & Matt
Relatively easy find but hard to retrieve. Could not get it even after using some MacGyver skills. Pushed it in further, sorry to the next cacher!
Out and about for another day of caching.
This time I have ventured south, and now east.
A quick find for me today.
Damm, I left my tool for this in the car.
But I got it eventually.
Thanks for the cache

Took s bit of work getting it out. Signed log and stuck a yoga cat sticker on the inside of lid. TFTC.
Found it but was in too far to retrieve. Extra long tweezers or something with a hook needed.
Found with Ausfeet while out walking the dogs. Cache was covered in ants and a terror to retrieve! with the TOTT's laying around on ground i managed to retrieve cache. tftc

Another quick DNF conversion. I was left asking myself "how did I not find that last time?" I think the neghbours may have spooked me off last visit. None here today thankfully.
Anyhow, thanks for the cache and cheers from Browngang

I was early for an appointment today so what to do while I was waiting,Look for a cache nearby of course.I found the cache really easy as when I was walking up looking at my phone the neighbour across the road started yelling instructions at me,Go back ,over there etc.I was a little uncomfortable having this man and his family staring at me from across the street so put the cache back quickly,So I apologise to the next person in my haste I think I pushed it in a little further than I should have,It may need a stick or long nose tweezers to retrieve next time so sorry. Thanks for the cache Doc-Who tnln sl
We found a soggy log so we replaced it with a new container, log book and a bag so it's good to go. Cheers
First find of the day today as we walked along the track next to the lake. Looked for about 15 minutes around the co-ords , we were about to keep walking to the next one when I spotted it. Log book was soggy so unfortunately could not sign. I like the hiding place though!
26/09/15. 8:58 AM. Cache #3041. Streak day #461.
9th of 9 finds this morning - Berkeley Vale, Tumbi Umbi & Killarney Vale.
I continued walking east from "Grassy Views", reading logs along the way, which gave me a few ideas. When I got to GZ, I found team sissifalke's angel drop cache almost straight away. Quick sign and replace, keeping an eye out for muggles. I then continued east to my solved location for "Salty Hideaway", which is also where I'd parked my car about an hour ago. If you've done the math, you've probably worked out that I was to end up with a DNF at Salty. Oh well. TFTC.

Find #: 1,171
Companions: 3 Geokids
Muggles: None
Weather: Cool and damp spring evening
Cache condition: Needs TLC: no container
I was camping nearby with the kids, and the dull weather kept us away from water activities. The kids had a play at the nearby playground and then a scooter ride along the lake, while I walked behind them. Our turnaround point was near GZ, so while passing I quickly found the cache, or what is left of it anyway - I signed a log, even if there isn't really a container as such. TFTC

On our sunday afternoon walk along the Trail we also came past here. New paper behind dog plastic bag.

There's a very glaring spot which presents as an ideal location for a cache which is presently an empty hole. Wondering if this was it and if it is gone, or if I am simply grasping at straws? LOL damn it. I hate DNFs.
Kids liked the tyre, we saw a few white herrons around GZ but the hide got the better of us.
Found by Dave. Again Team CCDSS came through.
Log was very wet, maybe water proof paper would be a great option for this type of hide...
It was very sneaky spot though... Love it!
Great effort!

Passing through and decided it was time we grabbed this one. Looked and looked for a while, no muggles about as there was a portent of rain and the wind was cold. Had an idea of where it could be and then the fading camo caused it to reveal itself. Managed to sign a very wet log. Thanks Doc-Who
Prefect weather partly cloud, ...
enjoyed walked to something shine and closer, wow lucky quickly spot...'
Tricky hide as well.. Also lognote little damp...

So many muggles out on this lovely afternoon. Way too many neighbours looking straight towards me again so didn't spend more than the time it takes to hold up my GPS and look like I'm taking photos with it.
Thanks anyway.
Thanks anyway.
while cycling with friends in this beautiful country,I manage to do some geocaching, tftc
I had to go to Erina Fair this morning and when I finished, I thought why not take a little drive and pick up a couple of nearby caches that I hadn't previously done. One thing turned into another, and a few hours later a couple had turned into 10 or so. Oh well, that's what happens when you're retired with time on your hands.
This one was a little frustrating ... an extensive search in the area my GPS and Google's satellites said was GZ failed to turn anything up. Then suddenly, it dawned on me ... this is a Doc-Who cache so I should extend my search zone a little. I also remembered another of Doc's hides and this encouraged me to focus my attention on a particular area nearby. And lo and behold, there it was ... another one of those damn pipettes!
Unlike the previous finder (who technically shouldn't be able to claim it as a find), I extracted and signed the brand new, virgin log. Unfortunately, I also broke off the lid trying to extract the container from its hidey hole ... sorry Doc. Future finders should note that they should be remove the lid and extract the log in situ.
Thanks to Doc-Who for this and your other hides along here ... I did enjoy the walks along this stretch of the lake. If I can ever figure out the puzzle for the next one along, I'll be back.

Got it but very high scrutiny from neighbours over the road so chose not to extract and sign virgin log. Will be revisiting ALL7's toukley ones soon

Well DOH!. My last PQ must have been just before you took this one off. It was on my Garmin and I was on a roll. OH well, spent a good 30 minutes of looking (in Stealth mode). NO wonder did not find it, as I found out at home logging the other two.
Needs Repair.

A return visit after speaking to the CO and getting a clue from where it wasn't placed. At least that eliminates some of the places that we had looked!
But today was a different story, as as soon as I turned up at GZ (and the co-ords are spot-on), the little blighter jumped out at me. Why I couldn't see it before I don't know. TNLNSL TFTC

Muggles of neighbours watchimg intently. We think we have it in our sights...we will return at dark..another time.
We even spoke to the CO and got a bit of a hint and still couldn't find it.
Another day.................
Another day.................
Had a good look for this one. I was happy to give up on this one. But seaeagles was desperate for this cache for his T/D grid. So he gave the CO a text for a clue, both of which narrowed the search field but this still seemed impossible. Shortly, we were greeted by the CO himself! Even with his aid it was still a tricky find that I would not have found without his help. After signing the log and some solid geotalk, we were farewell by a picturesque sunset . TFTC!
Well this is by far the biggest nemesis cache I've experienced, both the former and current versions. On the multiple occasions I have been here the cache wasn't or we overlooked it.
Today was following the script of bad luck. The second we jumped out of the car we were greeted by a putrid smell. It was almost sickening. We talk hoped this would be a quick find but no. After following the GPS around for ages and not finding anywhere to hide the cache, I desperately resorted to a text to the CO. Even with a couple of hints the cache was still housing from view. We stuck around desperate to find it, especially me as I need this D/T rating, only to be approached by the CO himself. After a chat and a few more hints we eventually struggled our way to the find. Sneaky and if it was for the CO, I probably would not have looked there. Also had to borrow a pen as usual I forgot to have one with me.
It feels good to finally rock this cache off. Thanks

AArrrrrrgggg........ spent ages looking for this with no luck. GPS was putting us in three different locations, even with the new coordinates......
Collecting up a few caches while in the area today, I came here a nearby ALL7 cache...having had an argument with my GPS there, I thought we were heading for a repeat here, then I spotted what it was shouting about the while time. Thanks Doc-Who, this one certainly lives up to what I am starting to expect from you

I looked in all the seemingly obvious spots, I rang a paf, but that didn't help as they hadn't found it...
In the end I found it just sitting out in the open...remember that the path to enlightenment will lead you to salvation, or a cache

Third time here seemed to be the lucky one. Or maybe it was just because barrelledover had already given me a massive hint..... Bumped into CO and had a great chat about caching (and other stuff). Thanks for the tips, you've given me some ideas. Expect to see some new caches from me soon. SL. TFTC.
Found on second attempt. My GPS said I had 5 metres of accuracy, then proceeded to wander me about in a 30 metre radius. Funnily enough. I was bang on GZ when I first arrived.

Really like this one. I wondered why the arrow kept pointing to the path, usually that means I'm way out!
Ever-Watchng Neighbors is an under statement. Me and the kids tried to look like we were having a rest, but we were to ,uch in view to have a good poke around. Come back some other time.
We parked and walked to GZ then saw the cache and logged it well away from there. Thanks to the Doctor for another good hide, perfect for our first of the year. Only pelicans were flying today, too windy for the spoonbills.
IM 3rd.. The GeoKrew come 2nd... I keep look everywhere for 30 mins .. now found ...OHPHEW!!!!
