Well I surely gave this one my best shot. Searched for almost 2 hours, got caught in many branches, looked under/in heaps of wood peices, came across alot of things including part of a log sheet (unsure if this is the actual log or not) no names on it. But couldn't seem to find anything else around it. It was quitting time when the sun started going down and I had no torch (I didn't want to get stuck in the bush whilst its dark )Hopefully the next time I give this a bash, I'll have better luck!
Looked all over but couldn't seem to find the good but will definitely give it ago some other time
We had started the day with 2 successful T/5 tree climbs, then it went downhill from there. Leaving this cache till last, one of us came in with a positive attitude (me), with Steve already acting defeated before we had reached GZ.
Thinking our last attempt would have aided us this time round, we spread out and meticulously checked everything in the vicinity. Obviously not everything, because after another hours fruitless search, my attitude now matched Steve’s.
I even got pricked in my forehead that hurt, which I wouldn’t have minded if it turned out to be that needle in a haystack.
Never mind, I suppose we’ll give it another go……..one day. Thanks Gonefishen07

We were hoping for another Christmas miracle after finding Williamsons killer cache, but I think we’ve used up our quota of luck on that cache.
Spent a hot hour and a half crawling around on hands and knees, checking everything in the vicinity, while getting attacked by the mosquito squad, until we couldn’t take it anymore.
Well played Gonefishen07:)

A VERY BIG DAY that started out at 5am on a mission to clear Wonthaggi caches and finally meet Gonefishen07 who has been so inspiring with her encouragement, wisdom and advice. Not sure if it was to stop me nagging her but she agreed to catch up to go searching for some potentially missing ones. We looked and looked and looked, turned over every possibility like so many before and with so much digging by animals, Leesa finally conceded it had Gonemissen. She secretly replaced and I then had to find. This time at least I knew it was there and came up trumps. There are not enough emojis to express how happy I am to turn this face yellow.

Hi there Gonefishen07,
This cache has been flagged by Geocaching HQ as a cache that **MAY** need some attention.
You may recall having received an automated email from Geocaching HQ which explained what you needed to do.
Unfortunately, nothing seems to have happened, so the cache is being temporarily disable - see here: [**Geocache Health Score.**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=713)
**You do need to respond to this enquiry in some way within 14 days, so others know you are on top of it, as well as indicating exactly what is happening with this placement - please don't let a lack of communication scuttle this listing.**
#What should you do now:-#
You have a number of choices so pick the one that applies from this handy list:-
- **Check On The Cache:-** Visit the cache to check, repair, replace or do whatever else is needed, post an [**Owner Maintenance log**](http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=404) indicating the cache has been checked and [**ENABLE your cache.**](https://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=235 ) Then sit back and wait for the logs of praise to roll in.
- **Place A Write Note Log:-** Reviewers are not mind readers (more's the pity), so without your note on the cache page explaining that the site works are on-going, you have been in hospital, the area is in flood, or some other reason that has prevented attending to the cache, they can't tell what is going on.
You need to post a note to the page (within 14 days) explaining the situation and when a Reviewer next looks at the listing, all will be fine for a little bit longer.
Be sure to indicate **the actual date that you expect to have it fixed** so that everyone knows you are on top of it. If you have a long term unavailable cache (where you don't have an actual date) please **post a Write Note log every 4 to 6 weeks,** so as to keep everyone up to speed.
- **Adopt/Archive:-** If you don't plan on fixing it then you could consider passing it on to another Geocacher by asking them to [**Adopt it**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=54) or alternatively, you need to [**Archive it,**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=56) so it is removed from searches and someone else can have the spot. Don't forget to remove any remnants of your previously enjoyed cache too.
You might wonder what happens if you don't pick one of the above. Well, when the cache is next checked by a Reviewer, if the issue has not been addressed, or there is no acknowledgment as requested above, it will be assumed the cache has been abandoned and processed accordingly.
Honestly, it's better for you to decide, so please do something before then. Please don't send me an email but instead follow the information/advice posted above.
Thanks for your cooperation,

Argh! Had a good look around for 30 minutes
Phoned a friend - nothing! No luck today
Thanks anyways

We prayed to the cache gods just to get a chance at maybe finding some relic of this cache, we really did want to find it but no avail!
Didn't hold up much hope for this cache with so many DNF against but gave it a crack anyway but no luck
I'd usually take this opportunity to recount the specifics of our search here, but I'll spare you the details on this occasion because they comprise little more than a familiar tale for this hide:
- We know what we're looking for
- We know how it's hidden
- We have no idea where it is
- We know what we're looking for
- We know how it's hidden
- We have no idea where it is
Searched for ages with rebonka and could not find it. Certainly a needle in the haystack and also not sure if we were in the right location... will try again another time..
Disturbed some familiar faces when l rocked up here, l had a secret weapon to use but just couldn't stay around long enough due to not feeling well all weekend, but like others I'll be back
Caching today with +Wife,Surefoot24 & The Evil Muggle.
You know that feeling?
The one you get when you finally turn that frown upside down.
WooHoo.
Sitting on the ground, not unlike putting a 5,000 piece jigsaw together, blindfolded, over 3 1/2 years!
The final piece in the puzzle fits in and... now what.
Might head down to Wyndham Vale for a look. lol
Found after the lunch time event by the same CO.
Thank you Gonefishen07

FINALLY found it after umpteen searches over the last four years- since I started Geocaching, well almost!
N0w0rries joined The Evil Muggle and me for a determined search on a day with plenty of time to spare, benign weather and a positive attitude. We set 3 different finding devices band a search in approximate centre finally turned over a piece of wood with the required attachment. One of us turned the piece of wood over another spotted it and we all cheered! Hooray! Thanks for the diabolical challenge, Gonefishen07

Heading to Philip Island for a conference from Canberra. I left last night and slept in the back of the car for a few hours before continuing bright and early to maximise the time I had available to find a few high D/T caches along this stretch of beach. I was running out of time, so only gave this a few minutes.

I knew today was going to be a lovely early spring day, so left early to get down here with the sunrise. The plan was a couple of Challenge caches, and a few needed DT caches, plus any bonus caches along the way.
After parking, I took the wrong path, but using the Satellite maps soon realised that it would be quicker back tracking than trying to go bush.
Once at the correct location, my GPS was saying the GZ was in the middle of a large prickly plant. Wasn't sure if that was correct, so checked the images in the log files, and saw the same plant, but MUCH smaller. Started to get worried, but then thought the cache is not going to find itself.
Looking around, I was pretty sure how the cache was hidden, but it was just a matter of where and could I find it? Down on hands and knees with the morning sun above me, I found the well hidden cache after 10 full minutes of constant searching. Cache found in good condition and the log file signed at 7 am, if just a little wet.
Thanks for the cache Gone Fishen 07

Boy have the plants grown here! And a lot of the wood chips have reduced in size and some completely, I’d guess. It was a half- hearted look because I was quite tired by the time I got here and daylight was waning quickly. We gave up and went home across the flooded Powlett River.
Sadly a DNF here today. We only allowed about 10 mins to search. Felt we were in the right spot, but couldn't sight it.
Our searching party consisting of beckNmonts, gmj3191 and myself descended upon GZ from all directions. The sharp eyed beckNmonts come up trumps very quickly. Excellent! Thanks Gonefishen07, this was a very tricky hide.

Find #90353
Headed out this morning with sedgwickDave with the aim of attending the annual Wonthaggi events, plus finding 3 puzzles we managed to solve during the last few days. There were also a number of others on our "Hit List"
This was my 4th visit to this one and my has it changed since last time. All the trees and shrubs are sooo big now. Even with a previous finder with me it didnt help, took us about 30 minutes but I found it and can now cross this nemesis off the list. Now I just need to fins Sling Shot!
Many thanks to Gonefishen07 for the cache. TNLN.

One of my finds today after attending the annual pre New Year events in Wonthaggi.
After lunch we teamed up with McLookers, the Tritonz and becknMonts and found this tricky little blight. Bec made the find after a short search after the group made it's way to GZ via a variety of routes.
A typical nasty little clever hide from this CO.

Hmm, this one was a needle in a haystack. But, we were lucky in that we spotted it quickly. Im beginning to feel very lucky today, it’s not often I can find your caches this fast! TFTC Gonefishen07
We looked for this one for about half an hour without success ... hopefully we will get a chance to return before we have to head back to Queensland at the end of next week.
The plan was in place today with DAB & the Tritonz to make our way over to Wonthaggi and surrounds to do some caching. We left early to make the most of the day with a long car trip needed and we had a great day out even with the rain, cold & windy conditions. The bundled into one car after the event and made our way further south. This was one of our main target caches for the day. It kept it's promise of a tough cache but we are very happy we came through. We started with a plan and it seemed to work only to find what was part of the cache before the lucky geocaching gods smiled down on us to allow us to find the most important part of the cache, the log. Smiles all around and cache put back together for the next finders (Good Luck!). Signed and replaced as found.

This one certainly deserved the D rating ! Teaming up with Na'wal and DAB, we had 4 sets of eyes and hands , systematically searching the area looking for this evil needle in a haystack. At one stage we thought we had it but dismissed it as there wasn't a log to be signed so the search continued until DAB cried I think I have it. When putting the 2 pieces together like a jigsaw we knew we definitely had hit the jackpot [^] woohoo
Thanks Gonefishen07 for the mammoth challenge here , we are so stoked to be able to turn this one into a smiley. A favourite point added for the experience.

Friday saw another caching trip planned, with the combined teams of The_Tritonz, Na'wal and myself. An early start was on the cards for the long journey to the Bass Coast. The weather was a mixed bag all day, with it changing from rain to sunshine frequently. The wind was very strong as well, but you have to expect that in this neck of the woods. Once again, there was great variety of hides. It's always a pleasure to cache here and we are already planning our next trip !!
Holy Moly, what an evil hide this is. After searching and searching, we widened our search some more !! We thought we had found it, but it was missing a vital piece.... the container and logbook !! It was only by pure luck that the container was spotted hiding away. So what we originally found, was part of the cache !! High fives all around as we added our names to the log book. With 9 months unloved and find number 3500 for me, it's gets a huge fave point. TFTC Gonefishen07

While down at Cape Patterson for our annual Easter holiday with family we decided on showing the rest of the group Powlett River. After the sand dunes &others and I decided we had time for a couple of caches nearby. We knew that we were in for a tough time and had to give up after 1/2hour. Another, to good us for Gonefishen07. We will be back.

A lucky quick find to make up for the lengthy search at Sling Shot. Very very pleased to have started looking in the right spot. Well done iPhone! TFTC Gonefishen07.
How easy was that! And by easy I mean an absolute bugger of a psychotic cache! Found it by accident if I'm honest! Cheers for the cache. Now I'm off for a stiff drink to recover!
I think this D5 too was too much for us to handle at the end of our day out on the coast. Tyftc.
Found on a day out caching with Mansgirl. Nice clean brand new log with no other names on it. We signed and replaced. Thanks.
This is the 2nd of 2 caches we didn't find today. [:(!]

Headed down to Wonthaggi with gwd.aussie to attends the events and do a bit of caching. After all the usual caching talk at the Bass Event we thought we would attempt Like a needle in a hay stack.
Thought I would approach this systematically but after a period of seaching it took the arrival of addition help before the cache was found.
Thank you Gonefishen07

I dont know what I was thinking when I decided to try a D5. I searched for about 30mins with nothing to show for it. I will be back....
Out on a D5 caching run with some geo-friends – what a dismal day! The first D5 was not accessible and the next three were DNFs. It is enough to make you give up on geocaching. Just as well the fantastic company made up for the failures.
This cache was the first on a list of possible caches for the day. To our dismay the road was closed so we could not get near the cache let alone find it. With one of our party not physically able to walk too far or tackle any T5s, a trek from the gate was out of the question. I think this was an omen for the rest of our day's geocaching.

Back again.
After camping the weekend at the caravan park & finding quite a few caches in the area, we stopped by here for another look.
On our way home, two of us & three geomutts, spent another half an hour trying our luck in the haystack.
Sadly, yet another DNF for us today.
We'll be back...

After half an hour of scrabbling in the mulch and with daylight dying I gave up. Will try again.
Having done well with the other D5 hides it was time to test this one out also. We parked close as the gates were open and started to head over only to startle a large rabbit or maybe they are hares around here. It took off with such speed it also gave us a bit of a start. On getting to GZ we saw what lay literally ahead of us. We put the devices down to see were they would settle and if they would point to the same area which they got closer than some of the beach hide location. We carefully worked our way around looking for certain features to make the find after about 10min to let out a sigh of relief. We completed the signing duties and re hid. TFTC.

Wow!! This one is evil and literally at the moment icefoxy said that its time to move on to the next one I by shear luck found it!! I too had enough but was eager to find this one and so pleased to have done it. Spent 20mins on this one and luck was a large part of it. Great hide and well rated. Interesting location...

This was by the far the biggest challenge for the day and knowing this was not going to be an easy find we set ourselves a 30 minute time limit. With just a couple of minutes to go before we gave up the cache was discovered. Wow you certainly need a fair bit of patience and keen eyesight for this one. Very sneaky hide!

Well after begging Leesa for a hint and being told 'turn over all the wood chips' I decided to give this one more go. However rather than parking near the cache, I walked from the otherside through the wetlands, past the bird hide to the gz. I thought that way, if I don't find it, at least I got a walk in. I took Leesa's advice, something I had already done several times before but some reason, I found it this time. Very clever and at least when you do pick it up, you are sure that you have it. Thanks for a great cache, one that has brought me back, time and time again.
Third time here spent hours here Four or us with hawkeye86 gps sending us in circles 3 of them we need help with this one
After having to bail on the nearby beach ones, because they were too hard for my legs, I decided to give this one another go. I parked near the desal plant and walked from the carpark so that at least I got a good walk even if I didn't find it and that was all I got. I searched in a significantly large circle but could not find it. I found some logs that were unusual enough that I remember seeing them from the last time I searched but could not find the cache. Will come again if somebody else finds it and see if they put it somewhere I can spot it.
We expanded our search area. We picked up everything we could find. We looked in places that it couldn't possibly be, and it wasn't. We still didn't find it. Will have to head back another day.
We were staying in Korumburra for a couple of days with The Drovers with the main gaol of completing the rail trail and picking up a few challenge caches.
Along the way we also visited mnay other interesting caches.
We arrived back at the car after completing the challenge caches and notice this one less than 200 metres away. Did we feel like searching for a needle in a haystack?.
We thought why not and were very pleasantly surprised when the cache was found in under a minute.
Got to love good co-ords
Thanks for the cache

Met up with Team Crackers for 2 days, to tackle the Rail Trail and a few local caches.
Expected this to take a while, but it was found in under 1 minute. Our lucky day.
Co-ords were spot on for us.
Many thanks for placing this cache, Gonefishen07, for us and others to find.

14/09/2014 4.00pm - 6th for the day. Oh yes ... Gonefishen07 is definetely evil . dgfb33 lounged on the ground while I did hunting bit ... he'd already done this one.
We stopped at Grantville Bakery (again) for a late lunch & cuppa (yum) after doing caches at The Gurdies & Grantville Cemetery before heading back towards home! Car decided I could do this one on the way past (well ... passing the end of the road). The rest to be done in the area will wait for another day. It was another lovely day to be out.

Had a quick look tonight, but maybe too hard in the dark. Will come back during the day.

Yep...a needle in a haystack. Took about 15mins to locate. Frmen1 was about to give up TFTC and another D/T square done
Just about gave up on this one. Geowife persisted much to her credit. She likes these really tricky ones but I just like walking and finding. Spent quite a time on hands and knees around GZ and co-ords were pretty good. TFTC
Ermagerd I think gonefishen07 was feeling particularly sneaky when this was put here!! Spent a fair bit of time at ground zero but no luck
An impromptu caching day saw Nut bear and I returning to the very familiar and always entertaining Gonefishen07 territory.
I was looking forward to this one and I wasn't disappointed. Love a challenge!!!!!
We used our GPS's and iPhones to try to help target our search area. Sat somewhere between them and after a 10 minute search we had what we had come for. So glad to have found it so quickly as it had the potential to take all day. Then had a short moment when we couldn't find one of the GPS's. Ohhhh Noooooo!!!!!
Thanks Gonefishen07 for the cache and the fun we had finding it. Definitely deserves a Fav Point.

Was not really up for a day of caching with a cold, but after a phone call with BorisB&Natasha, the thought that the fresh air might do me some good and finding some more of Gonefishen07's high caliber caches I was easily persuaded.
OMG ! Thought this was going to take all day when we arrived. Walked and searched in circles for a while then we sat down where the GPS was telling us to look and after methodically turning bits over for 10min, Natasha made the find once again! Favourite point for the challenge.

Got the little !!!! this time, found it put it down went to my bag for a pen the had a little moment to locate it again. Thanks GF07 FTC.
Found plenty of needles just not the right one, luck wasn't helping at all today. Thanks GF07 For the hunt.
Slink1 and I decided we should take the ladies out for an airing so we took them with us caching today. Twas a great day for it so we headed down to Wonthaggi and surrounds balancing out priorities. We had a really good time. Many thanks to the cache owners for the placement and upkeep of the caches. TNLN TFTC SL
We took advantage of the great weather over the weekend and headed down to Wonthaggi with our ladies managing to check out a few beaches, dunes and generally had a wonderful time.
Really enjoyed the diverse as well as the difficult caches, actually managed to make short work of the difficult , luck on our side today. Overall the time away was very successful with the beach play and caching fun.
At GZ it looked like the find would take some time given what is at GZ,,, However not the case .
found on 4th look..
Many thanks to Gonefishen07 for the effort and placement of this cache

One of 70 caches found today during a day / night caching run. I headed down the Bass Hwy through Woolamai and Kilkundra and onto Wonthaggi where I spent most of the day. Once it was time to move on, I grabbed some dinner for the road and headed up north through the rolling hills of Kongwak, through Korrumburra, Strzelecki and Torwood before turning west, making my way to Lang Lang and then onto home.
The weather was perfect for caching and during the day I had just one DNF. I also managed to find a couple of caches needed for my D/T requirements. There were a nice variety of caches with some challenging walks and the trusty old bike came out on a couple of occasions. Plenty of great locations and some great scenery as well. Thanks to all the CO's who placed the caches I found today.
I unloaded the bike and headed off to find the three caches along the tracks here. The development around here is amazing since I last visited and the bike path is great. Arriving at GZ I thought this was certainly going to be a needle in a haystack search but the elements were kind to me today and the cache was slightly exposed. Log signed and cache rehidden, like a needle in a haystack !
Thanks for the hide.

Well, what a devil of a cache that was. If it hadn't been for geo friend I might still be there going in ever increasing circles. TFTC Gonefishen07
Found it with dgfb33. Very well named. Howling gale made it difficult to stand up and move around.
Found it with Geogran1937 in very windy conditions between bouts of rain. A good test of patience.
12:41 (found with hearse068): Definitely a challenge. Clever hide. TFTC Gonefishen07.
Decided to make this one number 2 for the new year so we set off from number one in the heavy and slow traffic and got to the parking area. We probably should have walked from the other side of the Desal plant, but the weather was not good, with rain falling more and more heavily the closer we got to GZ. We got out of the car in very heavy rain but decided to brave it anyway. By the time we got to GZ we were drenched and the wind was howling, blowing my hat off several times. When we arrived at GZ we looked around and wondered if we were in our right minds. We began our search with the rain pouring down and the wind howling, but we decided seeing as we were there and already wet, that we might as well continue on. As luck would have it, Mr You can do it 2 just happened to stumble on the needle after several minutes so we quickly extracted the log, signed in the shocking weather replaced the cache and made haste to return to the car and give up for the day due to the rotten weather. We returned home and changed into dry clothes. I think that this cache should be considered as dastardly. It is necessary to put in the hard yards with it that is for sure. Definition of dastardly in the dictionary I looked up is wicked and cruel. Oh well played Gonefishen, well played. TFTC
Had a bit of a search with anderka but ran out of time so we will be back tomorrow.
I've found this one before, but to Gonefishen07's credit I wasn't allowed to log it. On a maintenance run with hearse068 we decided to look for this one, but was called back home for dinner, so will have to revisit before I head home.
Having arrived at the event late I decided to tag along with the group for some caching and catching up. As described below the cache was soon found once at Gz with so many people looking. Thanks Gonfishen07

We got a bit distracted on the way to this cache and with lots of sugar in our system decided to ride anti clockwise around the track to check out what was beyond the locked gates. We were amazed at the moon scape scenery that has been created in an attempt to disguise the coastal destruction which in a few years will be less controversial, but still remembered with contempt by most Gippslanders. I was pleased to find a loo, but gob smacked by the touristy observation deck and car parks!!
By the time we arrived at GZ the sugar overload was fading, and after a good ten minutes of searching, it was time for more chocolates. Finally we found the tricky little cache.......pure evil Gonefishen07. Thank goodness for our event prize last night lol.

Well, that was potentially a very nasty hide, but wasn't too bad in the end. Well done, gonefishen07.
