Out for our 6th trip around the series having not been able to get across for a couple of weeks. Picked up LostnWet along the way as it was our turn to drive. As always the walking was great with the usual assortment of ups and downs along the way. The weather wasn't doing us any favours today unfortunately and we only saw 2 other walkers the whole day. Remembered to grab the necessary info as we went.

Very cute seeing so many lambs frolicking along the way with some being very newly born.

We managed to grab a few other caches along the way and some drive-bys before our other custom of going to find a pub for some tea.

Signed logs off as T2 for our 2 teams. Looking forward to our next trip out to complete the last series and hopefully locate the black box. TFTC.

Time for an afternoon caching session, so we identified the remaining 41 caches on this series as our plan for today. We walked the route in reverse which is probably why we had a few detours and wrong turns, but in the end we found all 41.

Got a bit lost on the path between #09 and #08. No problem once we got to the right one. Nice quick find.

My fifth outing today of this fantastic Alien series, this time taking in TALKET. It was an early start and the weather didn't look promising, with low dark clouds. What a relief after a couple of hours when the clouds lifted and the sun started to shine through, and I had blue skies for the rest of the day.

The walk itself was fairly easy taking in varying terrain with two hard bits, the walk up to the section cache and the hill up to #31 which is a lung buster. My stats ended at 10.86mls and a time of 6.27hrs. for the day.

All the caches like the other routes I have done in the series are all easy to find with the exception of a couple. most of the time you don't need to refer to the hints.

I would like to thank the CO for all the hard work and effort in putting this series together and the walks you have took me on so far have all been excellent.

Thanks for the cache and the series.

8162 + 981 = 9143. Found during a wonderful wander around the countryside…

Spending a few days in Manchester for a wedding I had a day to myself to go caching. These series looked very interesting and being Letterbox Hybrids I couldn’t resist doing some of them. Followed yet another stone wall to GZ for a quick find.

Unfortunately this was my last find in these series - I would have loved to spend more time here but I needed to get back to Manchester.

Thanks again P R E D A T O R S !! Had a great time today ! A Favourite Point from Me !

TNLN – TFTC !!

Cheers from Australia….

Please forgive the generic logs for the series.

Here we are again. Another Friday and another in this series that will be walked in the company of The Haywood Hornet today. Weather forecast not too bad although a tad windy in places and we had a bit of a shower towards the end of the walk. All caches in the series were found without too much trouble is what it should be on a long walk. No pub on route today so a sit down and a sandwich break part way around. Took about seven hours from car to car which is about average for the walks so far. Sorry but cutting and pasting is the order of the day so apologies. A thoroughly enjoyable day out today and so looking forward to get another series found soon. TFTC the series and a great walk.

Joined forces with B of BandMandAandA today to take on our first complete Alien Landings series after I did a few of TALTEG a couple of weeks ago. A leisurely day taking c9 hours.....5.5 walking time and 3.5 stoppage time....mainly due to stamping, photography and searching for a previously logged DNF by others that remained a DNF for us!! A fabulous walk and cache series. No doubt B will record detail of each cache find in his indubitable style but I will pass comment on particularly memorable caches. We signed logs as TAB....Team Alien Bashing....(or Team Angie and Barry).

Comparing the quality of our stamping abilities by this time. Amused me that B's were all neat and tidy and mine were pretty ad hoc.....but at least mine were the right way up. He asked whether mine was wearing a hat? A hat? It was a smiley with a tongue sticking out Big Grin Thanks for the cache.

Finally, the weekend came to make a first outing on this excellent new series of The Alien Landings caches. Jamange and I doing the TALKET walk, logging the caches as Team Alien Bashers (or TAB as we marked it in most log books).

We took it easy to really enjoy the walk, so my GPS stats ended up as 5:07 walking, 3:44 stopped, 20km walked with 998m ascent, so a bit more than the calculated values on the listings as you'd expect. The conditions started grey but at least not foggy, and the sun tried to break through all day and finally succeeded for a spell mid afternoon, before the wind picked up again and we were blown back around the last part of the loop.

The caches were all nice straightforward finds - bar one - and we enjoyed the variety of terrain and the amazing views along the way. I'm sure this series is inspired in part by the LEGENDS walks, but that's no bad thing and the innovations like the walking guides, stamp books and track files really added to the enjoyment of the walk. Thank you for the all the amazing effort that must have gone into setting up these walks - we'll definitely be back to enjoy the rest of them over the coming months.

09:29 This was our 8th of 51 finds today. Never noticed before today how many of these holey stones there are about the place. Thanks for the cache.
