After some thought, it's been decided that the most appropriate action is to archive it. Whilst it was intended for there to be a minor muggle problem, I myself felt a little too suspicious searching around for it when it went missing. Apologies to anyone who was planning on finding it, but thank you to those who have searched for and/or found it. Hopefully will substitute with a different cache but nearby in the future. Thanks!
The gps was off but I reckon after looking carful at the description we got in the right area. Definitely coming back to find it. Nice area!
No luck for us here today. Did a bit of crawling, reaching and feeling but came up empty. But we did enjoy learning what can now be done from this device and visiting Eastwood Mall. Will return another day. Cheers... Gaztek
#2610- it has been ages since I had been to Eastwood- about thirty five years ago, I used to come here as a kid with my mum on a regular basis. My it certainly has changed. I came in the wrong way and almost was not even going to attempt this one- just seemed like an impossible task to dodge the traffic and find parking, but on my way out, I saw a park across the road. I felt a bit like an exposed Clark Kent, but this turned out to be extremely easy, even on a very busy Wednesday afternoon. Thanks
First time fault.. Thought we were actually meant to text you for the hint.. We figured it out eventually.
I wouldn't recommend looking for this cache at lunchtime on a Thursday. There were people absolutely everywhere. I spent a few minutes looking around, and eventually found it. Had a few people looking at me wondering what the hell I was doing. I tried to be covert when replacing the cache. Hope nobody saw!
I convinced myself where it should have been, and searched fruitlessly for about 15 minutes. I tried a paf or two, but got no replies, so I gave up. Of cause later that day I got the right goss' as to where to look...next time.
2nd one in eastwood. Love the hint. Even at 10pm on sat night lots of muggles around. Pretended to do my shoe laces up on my shoe that had no laces. Lol.
Was here before but in the evening this place was crowded. Since there is no hint now anymore a bit of looking around was required and I didn't want to be too obvious. So I decided to go back at morning before going to work. So this was today. But it was even more crowded since a whole group of Asians made a group meditation. At least I decided to do some obvious places and soon I had CIH.
GPS was all over the place, then I looked at the clue and instantly had a CIH.
Found at 4:38pm.
I've had my eye on this one for a while as it's really not far from home. I was halfway through solving the multi-cache 'Wallumedegal' when I decided I may as well tick this one off. I waited for a few muggles to pass before I had a good look around some likely hiding spots.
Laid eyes on the container so I quickly performed signing duties and carried on my merry way.

I've spent a lot of time around Eastwood over the years and I've seen a lot of changes. There was even a cinema here a way back when (in the Eastwood Centre site). The mall was a good addition with its wisteria pergola. One side of the railway line may be Hong Kong but the other is nearly all Seoul.
Didn't want to hang around on a busy Saturday afternoon so did a PAF before too long and the hint made sense then. It was where I'd already looked obviously not well enough. Signed and replaced.
Thanks!

Last find of the day! The hide was way too easy and typical for a geocacher from HK like me I sneaked out from the 茶餐廳 right across the GZ while I was waiting for my milk tea and my 下午茶!! Thanks for placing a cache in this part of Sydney! TFTC!

Team alohaannie thug'd the last Hong Kong penny and replaced it with a US one. The rain helped us be super stealthy. Thanks for the hints.
Found the Vietnamese restaurant and table but wonder if we are focusing too much on the tree rather then something else? We will be back!
China in Sydney was actually the reason I was in the suburb- to pick up some Asian groceries for the family. I decided on caching first and make a quick little find. Been around here plenty of times before. TFTC!
Seeing as though this one hasn't been found in a while, checked on it and it's still there in its original hiding spot. Although, someone's nicked the plastic bag holding the logbook?!
Thanks to those who have left "swaps"

Having had lunch in the nearby shopping centre we understood the name of the cache.
At GZ we had to dodge a couple of muggles, but they soon mover on and we could complete the search.

Found it after looking up many many trees. Just conveniently had yum cha and ernest13tse himself told me about the nearby cache.

Wasn't too far away so headed into Eastwood to find this cache. The hint helped eliminate everything else so thanks for that. There were quite a few people around, but I tried to do the old grab it while pretending to do something else trick.
I now only have 50 caches within 10km of home, which is the lowest it has ever been. (That is 726 found in that area!)

Isn't it great when there is a cache around when you're looking to pass the time?! While waiting for a relative to get serviced at a bank, I looked up nearby caches and we were within 10m of Hong Kong in Sydney.
Did a bit of tree gazing before honing in on the target. Geogirl retrieved and ran excitedly over to do the signing duties.
So many muggles at 11am, but busy doing their own thing. Wandered in for yum cha...

Saw the approximate location almost instantly, but there was a muggle family on a table at the vietnamese restaurant right next to me. Took a walk, grabbed a drink, came back and grabbed the cache.
I would have taken a coin, however I just came back from a 3 week trip to Asia including HK, so I still have about 75 HKD at home.
Instead I decided to leave the 1 coin I did have, a Chinese Yuan. No political commentary intended.
TFTC! I've never been to Eastwood before today, but will likely return.

cool geocache quick dident look at first but nice thanks for the little coin in it
I was out with sjamp last week and he talked about an Eastwood restaurant. By chance, there was I today. Sjamp mentioned a cache. I checked one place that looked complicated and then noticed somewhere that made more sense. Thanks ernest13tse.
Had just found Eviction Notice to the south, and was lucky to get a car spot very close to the Eawoo mall. Saw something quickly that could be a good cache host and was rewarded with a quick find.
Most of the people in this mall were just sitting around and I wasn't sure if they were looking at me of just stuff in general. The idea is to look "normal" and not sus. Anyway, it worked, and it was 1:30pm on a Tuesday, so fairly busy.
Good hide in a bustling spot, ernest13tse. TFTC

I grabbed this one while waiting for friends to turn up for yum cha directly near GZ. I had difficulty removing it as the attachment device is so strong and it eventually dislodged with a loud thud and dropped onto the ground. So much for subtlety! Just as I was signing the log the first of my fellow dumpling eaters arrived so I took itn into the restaurant and offered the log book to all on the table. TFTC!
Spotted the likely hiding spot while driving past looking for a parking spot. In the end I had to turn around and backtrack to find a spot around the corner near the Post Office. Cache was where I expected it to be so it was easy to make the grab. If possible this place is even more Asianised than Hornsby where I live or Chatswood where I work, and that's saying something! Thanks ernest13tse.
When I was here the other day but I have to pulled out because I wasn't comfortable when the muggles were around me and watched me at the lunch time so I left it until today so ALL7 found it before me while the muggles weren't around that time. Thanks ernest13tse for bringing us here.
Came down a bit after 9pm after a concern was raised by a fellow cacher (thanks!). Container had crept quite a lot this time, but fortunately was still there, though a bit precariously.
Cache returned to its original position (please make sure you replace it as found, you'll know if you have); will add a physical note to container with replacement instructions at next chance. Thanks!

Found in about 5 mins am a local so knew the area it was in the first place i looked!. Yes there is muggles around dont know if they knew what i was doing but anyway a very good hide
After meeting ernest13tse at the recent Race event, Jono_9 searched to see what caches they might have placed. This one popped up so when we were nearby we headed over to find it.
Whenever we have been here it has been busy, and a Tuesday afternoon was no different. But no-one really cared as we searched and found the cache after rechecking the first place we looked.
We have had Yum Cha here several times. Thanks for placing a cache, and it was nice to meet you at the Race.

Arrived about 12:30 am after the cricket & a chat with a friend afterwards. Thought if I had a chance of grabbing this unseen, this time would be my best chance. Amazed at the number of muggles still wandering past at this hour. There was even a girl using the nearby ATM!
Terrible GPS. Went round and round from one possible hide to another as the coordinates changed. Checked one spot. Nothing. Checked a second. Couldn't see anything there either. Checked a third. Not there. Number 4 was similarly empty.
Finally decided to recheck spot number 2. Saw a hidey hole there I hadn't seen on the first look. Aha! CIH.

For your first cache & a hide I haven't seen before, have a favourite point.

After the nearby cache, I drove around and found parking nearby. Walked towards GZ and started searching what I thought was GZ. Then when I reread the description it made sense. I went out and got another lock on GZ and then made the find soon after. Not many muggles about at 4pm. SL and replaced. TFTC.

6/01/14. 6:57 AM. Cache #1202. Of all the new caches published around the Christmas / New Years' period, I kept the two closest to home (this one and "Two Tickly Metres") on hold until my first day back at work, as I knew I could quickly grab them both on the way in.
This was the second of the two, so I drove here from Marsfield and parked at the Parking waypoint. Walked along the familiar mall - well, quite different from the one I remember from the 70s and 80s actually - and realised where it was going to be from the hint. So, I had to put my iPhone away so as not to arouse suspicion, even though there were only a couple of muggles about (hate to imagine what this would be like in the middle of the day, so the time I came was ideal). Considered phoning a friend (ha ha), but didn't really need to, so just needed a minute to find the cache. Signed and replaced whilst making sure the coast was clear. Now off to work
TFTC, ernest13tse, and nice meeting you at the Hills geo event on Saturday. }:)

Tricky one with so many muggles around.
Made the find after a bit of contact with relatives as a distraction.
Had a quick drink and a sign nearby before another bit of contact and the return.
Thanks for the cache!

Now that was really tricky.
As I approached GZ I could see many Asian muggles (I counted 87) doing their exercises to music around the likely location.
Hmmm have to think this one out carefully, haven't been to Hong Kong but I know a bit about it. If I was in a busy city like that where would I hide a cache? I knew I'd only get one go at this.
Went for it and bingo, there it was!
I walked further down the plaza to do the signing duties.
I took a collectable, thanks ernest13tse.
Returned to GZ and watched the exercises for a bit, timing the return of the cache carefully.

Surprised I could search with all the muggles about. I didn't know these things still exist! Nice one! TFTC!
Found by Nanny and Bo late on New Years Day 2014.
We spent too much time. We must have passed over it a few times!
It is is reasonable size micro.
A junior cacher turned up and found it immediately.
Signed the log.
We took nothing and left nothing
Thanks for the cache.

It was not an immediate find as I was expecting a different container. There were a few muggles about but we did not seem to attract undue attention.
A very nice hide, thanks ernest13tse.

It was getting late and we still needed a cache for the first day of the year. Eastwood is not too far so we drove down to find this one. After a bit of a fumble about we came up with the goods. SL TFTC
We went out on New Year's Day to find a couple of new caches in our suburb. As we approached GZ, we could see a couple of cachers at GZ, looking for the cache. We held back for a couple of minutes, then decided to go and say "hello" to Nanny & Bo. Geogirl found the cache straight away. Nanny & Bo, being far more experienced cachers, were very impressed! We then had a nice chat before going our separate ways. TFTC.
Great hide in a great place! We frequently eat at many of those establishments along that strip.

This one had me beat especially for a 1.5 star difficulty. GPS was jumping around the 20m mark in all directions and together with the muggle factor caused me to admit defeat after 30 minutes.
Second time here today; this time armed with a generous hint from CO which confirmed I had been looking in the correct place last time. I can only put my previous DNF down to an unbelievable case of cache blindness and finger numbness! Thanks Ernest!
Sneaky hide! But easy enough to pretend to be doing something else while filling out log book
Geocache # 1,053.
Found on Thursday, 26th December 2013 at 4:30 PM.
Conditions: sunny.
Current streak # 148 days.
Today's finds 1 of 1.
I noticed this cache had recently been published along with another one over near Carlingford and I decided to go for them to keep my current streak alive. Unfortunately upon arrival at the Middle Earth cache in Carlingford it seemed I had been pipped at the post by the infamous Bella at Waggy and at that point I knew I was a long shot at beating him over to Eastwood for this one. I headed over anyway and bumped into Goughy2012 who informed me that he just picked up the First To Find with Bella at Waggy just a couple of minutes before I arrived. Oh well... you win some and you lose some. Once at Ground Zero, there were lots of muggles around but they did not seem too interested in what I was up to and I soon had the Cache In Hand. I performed the signing duties before returning the cache to its original hiding position. Thanks For The Cache ernest13tse and congraulations on your first hide!
