Our family moved to Christchurch a few months back, and since then we have had the privilege of hosting some of my Wellington Puzzlers group members for caching weekends. This weekend was TwigNZ's turn, and a visit to Lincoln to try to cache the place out seemed like an excellent idea. Not many places to conceal a cache here, so was a quick find. Loves the GeoBear likes photographs at 'Welcome' signs. He has a few. He is a very well-travelled bear. (See attached). Thanks for the cache.
I very much love getting to visit the South Island. Until recently it wasn't something I got to do very often, but in the last year I've managed a series of mini-trips for geocaching, and here we are at the start of 2024 with another one. Just like my first SI trip in 2023, I've come to Christchurch to target a few specific caches to help with my Jasmer Grid, and qualification for a few challenges I'm currently working on.This is Day 3, and after spending the morning clearing out the Glossary of Geocaching series on my own, I had now teamed up with my friend ThatDarnBear, who has recently relocated to Chch and has been hosting me during my visit to the garden city. We had looked at the map and spotted a good looking cluster of caches in and around Lincoln, so went for a drive...All during our time here, we've been wondering where all the people are? Sure, we've encountered a small number of pedestrians etc, but considering it's a Saturday and the sun is shining, where is everybody? This park was just another example. Where are all the kids to play on the equipment? The upside is that I was able to have a search without muggles, and it didn't take too long to find the cache. No issues to report with either the cache or log, we soon had our names in the log before replacing it all as found. Thanks for setting this one up.
Great day to explore our new neighborhood. A bit tricky with all the traffic around! Tftc.
Quick hunt here just a little challenging to get log out without tools on me...but there's always a way tftc!
#12,319. I was staying at my sisters place at Leeston and decided today I would head to Banks Peninsula to do the CANZ cache but picking up a few on the way. This one was bit mysterious. I found a bison tube but it was empty. I thought I must have dropped the logsheet on the ground so searched through the leaf litter underneath and found a rolled up log. But the names on the log don't really match the recent cache history. Last log was the finders in Oct. I have attached a photo of the logsheet I found. Signed it and put in back in the bison. Thanks drawp for setting this one up.
it was so low to the ground that my nose hairs were being tickled by the grass
Excursion with downsouthinv while Abbykitt was at an event. Time before our plane to visit this area and see what can be found. Thanks for bringing us here.
A quick trip to the area for a few more caches and some unfinished bissness.
So today we get the last of one geo art and start a new one .
Let's go have some fun .
And as we go a few park and grabs .
A quick search soon had the goods in hand, all go here and on to the next
Getting out and about in to the out doors is my happy place so any excuse to go caching.
Life is short. Live one foot step at a time.Never say" I'm gonna "- Just do it!!
Thanks for the hide

Found with ivss_xx after a bit of barking up the wrong tree. Discovered a cool feature to the sign, as somebody else here has also logged!

Similar to a previous logs, we found out a thing or two about the welcome sign. It's basically a large cache container on its own.
But that is **NOT** where the cache is hidden.
Kia ora! Paldies!

Two years later we arr back. This time a straightforward find on our way to Akaroa. Thanks for the placement drawp.
Yay averaged.
Having a long weekend and decided to head up to Christchurch to meet friends. The rest of the weekend was spent geocaching, grabbing many of the puzzles solved during lockdown.
This was my second day going out and finding some great caches to fill in some challenges and complete some fun series.
All good here.
***[======== NZ Mega 2020 ========](http://nzmega.com)***
[NZ Mega 2020](http://nzmega.com) is definitely happening, but has been postponed until 2021. It will be held in Auckland over Labour Weekend, 22 to 25 October 2021. It's going to be a massive celebration of geocaching:
* 20+ years of geocaching worldwide.
* 20+ years since New Zealand had the very first geocache hidden outside of USA.
* All the 20s and now 21 as well!
Talk to your geo-friends and start planning to be part of [this event](http://nzmega.com) - you won't want to miss it!

Double checked to see if I am allowed to cache in level 2. I think I have looked for this before but this time a quick find
Its time for us to say Good Bye to Lincoln this visit. But time enough to get this one snagged and tagged. Cheers. Cheers
Its a long weekend in Christchurch, with The Seagnoid, Zara and Toby, and Star Gazing on the radar. Unfortunately clouds put paid to seeing stars but great event meeting up with the locals. Enjoyed visiting Halswell Quarry, Lincoln, Port Hills and running around after the Smurf family. Cool, fine days and NO rain made for an awesome weekend. Will be back again soon.

Funny how we do "Welcome to..." caches when we are leaving! Nearly lunchtime, time to sort of make our way back to Zara and head home.
Came down on Thursday night with Taybeedragon for a three day geocaching trip and to collect a rare cache type - so rare that this will be the first ever for me - a 10-Year Celebration Event cache (now rejigged as Community Celebration Events). But that, with some adventure labs and Halswell Quarry, was a couple of days ago. Yesterday we smurfed a bunch of caches, and today we are off to check out Lincoln (and another adventure lab) then head home at about lunch time.
