Today started out innocently enough, I was to make my way from Wanganui back home to Wellington. Because it's a long weekend I was in less of a rush than usual as we had another day off tomorrow (Labour Day) so I decided to find a few geocaches along the way, and then a few more, and a few more, and before the day was out I had logged 60 of them (that's a pretty good day for me). This was one of the geocaches that I found:
All good here, cache was found as described without any trouble.
Thanks to the CO for placing and maintaining this geocache.
I enjoy every cache I find, and it is only with CO's placing them that this wonderful game continues.

Grass has been recently cut. Cache was found in drain submerged underwater, container broken however log was double bagged so still dry. Signed log and Placed cache back where it should be. Tftc
10.25am. Where is the mount??? I expected at least a hill - or a bump on the landscape - but no!
At the least the cache was there waiting to be found.
Thank you. David.

Escaped from work a bit early and decided to collect some smileys. Off to Mt Lees reserve and stopped for this quick find. Cache all fine. Thanks
What a beautiful day to be out and about. While the boys and I were heading to Palmerston North we decided to take a quick detour to this spot.
A nice and easy find once at GZ.

A quick find in between the showers on our way home from a awesome caching weekend in the region. Had my good shoes on and had to jump the drain which was full of water. A quick find and realised we are actually heading in the wrong direction so a quick u turn and we are on our way again...in the right direction.
Sunny winters morning For caching. My 14th wonders of the world. So now completed. TFTC
As promised by the CO, this was a quick and straightforward find at GZ thanks to the accurate co-ordinates. The Hint is almost superfluous.
No issues signing the log and then replacing exactly as found.

Since I'm new to the Manawatu game board with its scores of potential new finds, I've decided to have another go at a streak of consecutive daily geocache finds. Last year I managed a streak of 186 days, so this time I'm aiming for 274 then 366 days. But furthermore if and when I've completed the streak I will have at least three caches each day of the calendar. Two challenges in one!
This was my second find today in keeping with that goal.
Easy enough to find but it was treated as rubbish and was underneath a heap of more rubbish. CITO'd the rubbish; rescued the cache; signed the log. Replaced the cache to the other side of PEEONEEIGHT... as it was now exposed in a bare patch where previously there was grass natural cover. TFTC

Quick find on our way to Feilding on day 73 of our TA thru-hike. Thanks for a cache on this long and dull road walk!
Nice quick find on a stunning day! Great views. Didn’t know you could see so far from here! Thanks
Came out with the family to explore Mt Lee’s reserve.
Quick park and grab.
Brrr the southern wind is cold

Found on our way home from Winter Warmer VI, loved the view! The container and all inside was very wet however the log was ok and signable. Dried out as best we could and added drying sachets. TFTC
Found with the lid off and water in the cache which I drained out. I would have replaced the log but I've maintained a number of caches on this trip and had run out. I see the CO has since replaced it anyway. Thanks capperz

Heading to Wellington Mega a day earlier with Squirrel Nutcase and NZ Flossy a day earlier.
Out to collect caches that we have previously passed.
So sorry cache owners, we had a fairly large find today so it's a copy and paste day.
Thanks everyone for their cache placements that we found. SLTFTC

WENZ Mega Weekend is almost here... Motoring south today with Gap (of Fap and Gap), and NZFlossy. Our intention is to cache our way to our accommodation in Lower Hutt... The big news of the day is that Highway 1 is closed at Pukerua Bay. A truck crash and chemical spill have shut down all lanes coming to and from Wellington. We have plenty of caches to find to keep us occupied, but this could be a long wait...
Friday: Our next trail took us on a broad sweep to the north of Sanson. Blue skies and great views of both Taranaki and Ruapehu set the tone for this little circuit... We arrived at a fairly busy Mt Biggs intersection and made a quick find. We spied the neighbour working away in her garden, and no doubt, she saw us too... TFTC.

On my way to the mega with Squirrel Nutcase and Fap and Gap. Having lots of fun and enjoying the ride and the scenery. It’s what I love about caching - great company and visiting great places. Thanks to all the COs for all their caches Hopefully we see some of them at the mega this weekend TFTC
Just a quick log to keep finds, TB visits and / or drop offs in order. Full log to follow once back from Wellington Mega.
Day 2 of my road trip for WENZ Mega. Flew up from Invercargill to Wellington yesterday and will end the day in Wanganui.
A quick find, and as promised, the views are pretty good too.
But the cache has seen drowned at some point and needs more attention than I can give it with this quick stop. Logbook damp, but usable, quite a bit of algae like stuff inside the container. Would suggest nested containers here.
Thanks for the smilie capperz.

#4643. I had been planning on doing a big day out caching in the Manawatu for some months. On Tuesday the forecast for Friday/Saturday looked great and even on Wed it was still OK but by Friday I discovered you can't trust the Metservice to identify a rain band. Horribly wrong forecast with rain falling most of the day. Needed gumboots on all day long. By now I had booked a motel in Palmerston North so too late to turn back. Got rather wet getting in and out of the car to grab these caches with steady showers of rain. In the end I managed a respectable total of 65 caches. View was subdued by bad weather. Bit exposed here with the nearby house. Raced over for a quick find. Picked up a trackable. Cache is a bit wet inside but I was unable to help as it was raining when I arrived. Signed the log and replaced the cache as found. Thanks for the cache capperz
Cache # 3,775 - Quick find today, and the view was...well a view. Left a trackable to commemorate the conquest of Mt Biggs.
Time for another geocaching trip with my matey 2 Bulbars, having just lost our good geocaching buddy Priceless Time (Michael Price) we decided that the best thing we could do was a weekend out caching in his memory. RIP Priceless, our thoughts are with you on your caching journey. So, after a quick drive down from New Plymouth we got into the caches: on Day 1, first to the west of Bulls then to the East and South finally into Fielding for the night and a few urban caches. Day 2 work our way back north and east to the CITO at the Rangiwahia bush track. Then back out to civilisation and home. So for this one it’s mission accomplished, this one is a wrap.TFTC! Parked well out of the way and walked to GZ, no trouble with this one today. Nice chance to explore the areas near Ohakea. 31 January 2017 17:01 GH6710 T F T C capperz
Another Saturday trip planned by D6NZ, this time starting at the Rangitikei river bridge in Bulls and skirting inland to eventually pop out on the northern side of Fielding.
After reading the other logs im wondering where the view was, maybe to overcast.
Regardless this was a quickly located and logged.
Thanks capperz

Logged with GCDroid. No rain at present so did manage to get a decent view from the top. Was a bit worried about the house just up the road a bit but carried on anyway and found the cache, signed and delivered back to its hidey hole.
Sanson Day2.
After finishing the KAZ trail, we continued onto the mint tin series. This was liking a tiki tour of the area around the farming country side.
After having a rest after we came home we vetured out to find a coupke more as we move on from here tomorrow.
Thanks for placing this cache capperz

You would have enjoyed hearing me say "I'm not sure what this road will be like, seems it goes over a mountain ." We parked some distance away but having already struck a very similar clue today we knew exactly where to head. Enjoyed the views. TFTC .
Hot on another cachers heels today. Cache was damp as they said but log was dry tftc
Out of the car for a quick park and grab...good cache with a nice view.A cycle race event on so logged,re-concealed and off...TFTC!

A mission was needed to complete one of the last few licence challenges on Rangitoto Island, so a passing comment to C&D at an event and this mission was soon planned. We nearly achieved what we set out to accomplish, with only 1 more cache to find to complete the challenge but that was due to miss-reading the fine print on the challenge page.
So with the mission lasting 48 hours we amassed a great set of numbers, 317 caches found, just over 1200km travelled, about 7 hours of sleep, C&D finding his 180th earthcache, completing the KAS powertrail in under 3 hours and finding numerous amazing geocaches. A lot of fun was had along the way, and some great memories were created. A big thanks to everyone for placing all the caches along the way, this mission wouldn't have been as much fun if they weren't there!
No view tonight, but a quick find. Thanks for the hide.

Found during a pleasant Sunday drive on a cool, but sunny and calm afternoon. Enjoyed the views driving along here. Thanks for this straight forward find capperz.
A quick find on an afternoon's caching in the area after the morning event cache near Sanson. Last cache of the day - got there just after sunset with quite spectacular sky lighting. A view to Ruapehu in the distance too, very clear and lit by the setting sun. Signed log, TFTC
Not so much view today. All overcast and as it was dusk looked very drab today. Cache all well. Tftc
Out and about on cracker day grabbing a few caches. GPSr took me right to the spot with a quick park and grab. Then on down the road to check out Mt Lee Reserve. Great views from here today too.
Thanks for the cache capperz. TNLNSL.
