When we arrived here we didnt really have high hopes at all as this was our 9th archived stop today and we had nothing to show for our efforts. We all had a good look around and even jumped over to the trees and sign but turned up nothing. But I heard a rumour this morning that these caches are sometimes quite far out from their coords so we decided to search the other side of the driveway and right away AlmaWoody found the cache! Things get strange though as it has a fresh log..an offical geocaching one too. The hint matches the location perfectly in our eyes and as theres a log and a conatiner we are claiming this find. Put back where we found it. I have put all these old archived caches in a list and am going to make it my mission to check them all out over this summer. I will add notes to the ones we cant find as a future reference to other keen hunters so they can pass them by.Streak day #104 and also another trad dot day.
Here we go again, like a couple of headless chooks scratching around but as usual forever hopeful. Nice quiet spot but no cigar. However we were ready to move on & trayc.g had a brainwave to widen the search to the other side, and lo & behold I spotted a possibility within moments. Not sure if this was what we were looking for but it was definitely a cache containing a new log. Eureka

Found on a morning drive with my Gran. TFTC. log is so wet i couldnt write in it. I had to take a photo
Big caching day out with tmann421 ... 20 hours ... 1005 kilometres ... 76 caches ... Wairarapa ... Taranaki ... Wairarapa
I left home at 3am and meet up with tmann in Sanson to be chauffeured around the ‘Naki. We spent a lot of time zig zagging around to bottom of the mountain on the way to New Plymouth, and then we looped around to the north and back down through Stratford. We drove a lot of roads we hadn’t been on before, saw some amazing sights and had a good time. We even had time to do a few caches in Wanganui on the way home.

Gosh, we made a 2TF here. Interesting spot on the way home via the back roads. Quick find, TFTC.
FTF enjoyed driving this area this morning & great to find a blank logbook. The cache had collected a little water, so I dried in out & replaced on it's side.....not sure if this will help. Thanks for bringing me here TreMichLan
