Still waiting on the owner to check this one as it appears to definitely be missing. Checked with a previous cacher who has a photo of cache container.
Have looked for this one for some time.. phoned a friend and its not there.. needs to be checked and fixed. Youve been bear'd
two visit's and a photo from a previous finder tells us that this one is not in place
Good little picnic area. Took over 20 minutes to find. So many places to hide it here!
Cheers!
Cheers!
Mr Luffness had been in Australia for five days and was staying at his sister's place in Toowoomba (she's Bloodnock Gurgle). She was doing her level best to introduce me to the more interesting geocache locations around Toowoomba. Absolutely no luck here today at all, after 20 minutes searching with three reasonably experienced geocachers. The extremely probable Ground Zone has been fenced off (and repainted as suggested by most recent log). We gained access by a gap at the back but no luck. A difficulty of 1.5 seems a trifle low if it's still there!
Tftc. Simple spot, but with so many simple spots to look, took us a little bit to spot. Cool cache. Log seems very tightly stuck....
Hi there elstar22. We found your cache "Hodgson Vale Picnic" at 10:34:00 AM today. This cache makes our find count 11653.

Today was another nice day for 'caching, although the weather forecast was a bit gloomy in the afternoon. We drove from Toowoomba to Warwick to have lunch with some friends we hadn't seen for quite some time, and of course we cached on both legs of the trip. Today we ended up logging 5 and DNF'd 1.
[/Blue]
Coordinate Accuracy: We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
Cache Condition: The container and log book are in good shape.
Took: Nothing.
Left: Nothing.
Thanks for the hunt,
Regards
Ian & Penny.

Great cache...
Some Council workings were cleaning the rotundas - chipping off paint and cleaning with a broom and water. Not sure if they are preparing for painting? We returned the cache to its spot but not sure of its security might need to be checked on in the coming weeks to make sure it is still in place.

My sister lives up the road and I've passed here a number of times but today I managed to stop. It was a little tricky at first as when I got here there was a council worker was wandering around and there were others in the park. Finally the people left I was able to swoop in for a better look. Soon after I spotted the cache. Tftc
So clever. hoping the council workers painting the gazebos dont find and relocate it.
Found withy my mum Lisylou and sister GeokidEricca. We stopped here on the way to my Aunties house and had a play in the park. Tftc

Out and about in the area over the last couple of days finding a few caches before meeting some friends yesterday for a campfire and Bucks party at Gordon Country.
So after a very slow start to the I needed to get the body working again and a quick 1.5 hr lap of the Ridge Walk to find that cache did just that.
Now to head to Toowoomba to visit Mum.
A couple of new caches in the region since I was last here so a bit of a zig zag way but I got to Toowoomba. [^]

Nice one. Managed to remove log with tweezers but the log is plastic and pen wouldn't work on it. Log almost full too. TFTC
I photologged as the log is stuck inside and I didn't want to damage by pulling too hard. Photo available on request from CO. TFTC.
CHOPCHOP'S first time...great cache! All intact, but can't remove paper... Bring small tweezers.
Great sneaky hide but we found it.
Lovely spot, saw a shingle back run under the bbq on our approach and parrots everywhere, TFTC

Found by Mary & David, at 1525. Had to wait for muggle to depart, then we had free rein. Soon spotted a familiar object. A welcome spot for travellers. Our thanks to elstar22.
Found with richliink on day six of our Mega 2015 Stanthorpe adventure.
We slowly meandered from Warwick to Toowoomba enjoying some excellent historical sites. we enjoyed being off the highway for most of the day, thanks elstar22 for your contribution to our relaxed caching day.

Stopped at the roadside park for a very late lunch on the long way home from the Stanthorpe Mega. Was waiting for the Garmin to find enough satellites when a young geocacher appeared with his dad, following the pointer on his phone to the spot I had already eyeballed. Couldn't resist going over and having a chat and we found it together. Took a while to extract the log sheet. Definitely recommend bringing an extraction tool. We both signed the log and went away happy. A real inspiration to see the dad supporting his young son who is interested in the game.

Today is travel to Mega day! So excited I was up early and on the road by 0330, travelling from Brisbane to Stanthorpe the long way via Toowoomba, Warwick and down to Tenterfield stopping everywhere in between. There were wet roads everywhere but thankfully no more rain. Many caches were found, and plenty more left for another time. Thanks to all the CO's for placing these for us to find.
Clever hide, luckily a quick find before the mowing started. Great place for a rest stop TFTC

That was a good tricky one. Log is being a bit of a pain to get out at the moment
Found on the way home from my grandfathers 90th birthday party. Got to ground zero and had a look at all the usual places. Had a look at previous logs for clues, and it was soon found. Had a little trouble getting log sheet out so found a small stick to help. Left stick on ground near hiding place.
TFTC. Found with TeamBellingham.

This one had us looking for quite a while before we spotted something a bit out of place.
What a good feeling when we finally found it .
Thanks elstar22 for the cache and fun we had with this one.

After a bit of searching ..hahaha ..all good there...filled up water tanks .on the van ...Now off to 4x4 park for the weekend. TFTC
Tricky one to spot in the fading light. Georugrats spotted it early but didn't say anything as they didn't realise what it was. TFTC
Today we left Toowoomba heading to Allora. We did caching along the railway series, back country roads & out around the many farms.
All the caches we found were in good condition & some wonderfull & scenic locations.
Thanks for placing this cache elstar22

Quick pit stop here as one of the major servos in town had no amenities for customers, and I soon got over my irritation about that when I discovered someone had placed a new cache here. Earned my smilie, though, as I didn't have my cache cap on and wasn't thinking outside the square. But then the light dawned, the penny dropped, the truth unfolded... you get the drift... and under darkening skies, I signed the log, took GeoK9 by the paws and danced the dance of joy! Thanks for giving me an additional bonus for stopping here, Elstar22.
On our way home from an overnight at Pratten. Called in to stretch our legs and eventually find this cache. Great Nano. SL TNLN TFTC
Found on our way home from Pratten today in company with Purefun. Great hide. Took a circumnavigations of the area. SL TNLN TFTC
Heading westward for a play day around Gatton with teamdfl We had just completed the Pharoah's Trail series, and decided we had enough daylight to pick off a few more smilies before heading back to Brisbane
We've been to this park before searching fruitlessly for another cache, and I was surprised to be back here. In the fading light we had a bit of a struggle making the find, and we did a couple of laps of GZ before I went and checked one spot a little better. TFTC, elstar22.

We had a DNF here many moons ago. The cache name had something to do with the park name. We almost made it another DNF. We spent way too much time looking for this one
Found it eventually though
Found it eventually though
This one took a bit of work to find but was spotted after going back to my original search area - nice hide TFTC
Arriving here and began the search, high and low.... checking the terrain... ok, maybe its over there... no that didn't work out, back to the first spot and Ms Wig says "well, that looks odd" yup, there it was!
Thanks elstar22

cache find # 1311. Good Friday , and making our way with our caravan to Toowoomba for the Easter holidays, and to do some caching whilst we are here.
Stopped at the rest stop to locate this cache, just as some muggles were setting up the tables.
We got chatting to them, and they had heard about geocaching, and were happy for us to search for the cache.
We quickly had the cache in hand, and they were surprised that we had found it so quickly.
With the log signed, returned we were on our way again. TFTC.

We were out this way today and not having a find for April 13, we thought that we would stop here to have a look for this Cache. In-between the rain showers we made a dash for the cover, where we found the updated co-ords to be spot on.
It is here that we found the Cache.
Thanks elstar22

Third find for today's geocaching adventures.

CelticFox came up with this one after a nice picnic and a short search. Happy 4 months babe <3. Tftc
Wandered around for ages searching for this elusive one. Finally, I stopped, reread the past few logs, had a think and almost within seconds, the log was in my hand.
Day one of three off and we were coming to Toowoomba any way. Arrived in car park close to GZ and was approaching the structure when I had a GPS failure. No spare batteries in car as I did not pack my caching bag. Will get new batteries shortly. Just looked around after reading the other logs and soon cornered the well hidden container. Glad I do not suffer from vertical deficiency. Signed log YOF as this is what I use instead of youngoldfella on this size log to save space as I have large handwriting. Just time to buy batteries then go to Weis's restaurant for lunch. TFTC elstar22

FTF @ 16:00!!!
Was planning a caching day trip for tomorrow when I realised this one so close to home had popped up!! Kids were more than happy to hear that we were immediately jumping in the car and going to the park!!!
Got to the park and wandered around in amongst the trees and shrubs looking, looking, as that's where the GPS had us. Widened our search, looking, looking, and then widened it some more - this cache was becoming somewhat elusive. But kids happy playing and we weren't leaving without that FTF!!
Anyway, after a thorough search of the area I was standing up from scratching around when I spotted the cool container that screamed out Cache!! headed back to the car to steal the tweezers out of the first aid kit, unrolled the log and found it was blank! [^]
It was found almost 20m from GZ and the co-ords that worked for us today
were: S27 38.773 E151 56.053
Thanks for the cache elstar22!
