Hi troutburgerThis geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit and after my previous reviewer note, there has been no owner response. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache. If a month passes without seeing a response, then I'll assume that this listing should be archived. Please note, that if a cache is archived due to lack of owner maintenance, the cache is unable to be unarchived.RegardsTheCoddiwompler
New geo needs to be placed as car park was extended. This would also mean new coordinates
This was a while ago but forgot to log, car park had been extended so will report this and hopefully go place a new one down there
On a caching trip inland with Coconut3 and heaps of others. We didn't find this one. GZ has changed since my travel companions found this and possibly the cache was removed when the carpark was extended.
New Year’s Eve caching with the family and first time up around these parts.

Found on our day trip up to the Lakes to visit family. Forgotten how stunning this place is! Found with Conbat. TFTC!
We had been on a weekend 4x4 trip on the Clyde and Lawrence rivers. On the way home we stopped to do some caching. The cache container fell to bits quite rusted so we replaced it. Put the sodden logs in bottom and added a waterproof paper replacement log. Thanks for placing a cache here troutburger.
Found while doing the Mt Sunday walk. Unfortunately the log book is rather sodden. Thanks for placing!
Vacations 2019 - Road trip trough New Zealand
With Geoesposa, this was my 50th anniversary. 16 days, 4200Kms and a few hundreds smilles after, i was sure i saw nothing....
I liked everything, the friendly and civilized people, the way the country works, the roads and especially the natural beauty of New Zealand.
I fell in love....
I decided to go back in 5 years, I easily see myself living my last days somewhere lost in any stunning scenery of this wonderful country.
With the itinerary studied at home, the caches were the ones that were in the chosen places, and a few used to stretch the legs. It was decidedly not the most important on this trip. Of all the visited, only half a dozen did not appear, all being in good health except two or three.
I will use this generic log, not for disrespect of the owners, but due to the amount of caches visited. Here the majority of caches serve to show something beautiful (as it should be), not giving importance to the container.
My thanks to all the ownwers who, allied to the natural beauty of the country, have made this vacation unforgettable.

Out with BaldEd on a caching adventure in the upper parts of the Rangitata River. We were ahead of a busload of American toursts.
We picked this one up after we got back to the carpark while the tourists were busy settling themselves back on their bus.
Cheers for the cache.

Out with Tufty on a caching trip to Erewhon. This was the first cache we sought to find. But a busload of American tourists parked right alongside as we exited the cachemobile so we forwent looking for this cache then and instead headed off down the track to Mt Sunday ahead of them. When we returned we had no problem with muggles so made a quick signing before heading up the road to other caches on the Erewhon Station road. TFTC
Spending a day geocaching with Tairanium. On our way to the top of Mount Sunday (Edoras). TFTC.
Today we made a trip to Mt. Sunday. On the way we searched, found and logged all other caches, too. The weather was fine, not too warm, a little bit cloudy, and in the mountains there was a heavy wind.
Almost no muggels could be seen there - but a lot of beautiful landscape and snow covered mountains.
Thanks to troutburger for showing us this location and for the fun we had at Mount Sunday Track ( Canterbury). The search we had here today didn't take too much time.
At least after carefully reading of the detailed hint!
Greetings from Germany and hope to see you soon in the forest.

Had planned to grab this one while having a late lunch at the carpark but too many muggles about. The return trip to collect all of the caches on the way to the top of Mt Sunday took just on 90 minutes including finding five caches along the way. TFTC
An afternoon drive to Lake Clearwater and beyond with BCD. We drove right to the end of this road as far as we could go. Nice quick find before heading up to climb Mt Sunday TFTC
Found with StreetWalker on an Easter weekend trip to the Mt Somers area, and beyond.
We drove as far as Erewhon Station, then returned to make the walk up Mt Sunday. The car park was chocka, with some people close to GZ. We had a few sandwiches before setting off, luckily by the time we had finished, the coast was clear to search. A car was almost parked on GZ, but we were still able to grab the cache. TFTC.

#15385. The car park was pretty full, and we had to wait for some muggles to disappear. A car parked almost on top of the cache made the search tricky, but it was empty and the cache was soon found. TFTC.

We have found this cache during holiday trip around south New Zeland. Thank you for the cache!

So cool to be at one of the famous film spots of Lord of the Rings. And we found the box at a not unusual place. Thank you very much for this cache and greetings from Switzerland.
Searched for a while but couldn’t find it. Had a spot which locked like a perfect hide but nothing in there.
This one was a challenge! Not so much the find, but the putting back. Just as I was filling in the log a whole pile of muggles turned up. No amount of applying sunscreen or other stalling would help. I would have to place it after the short walk. But on my return a camper van was parked right beside the cache, chairs out, and dinner was in preparation. Nope, these folk weren't going to be moving on any time soon either. So after a wee explanation, the cache was successfully replaced.
It's so hot today the fishing is hard. Few rises and the fish are deep? Might as well catch a few caches. TFTC
As a LOTR tour guide, I've passed by this many times, and not had time to search.
Today was the time, easy find. Thanks and cheers from Grandalf (2515)

Expected some harder work, so did not look in the obvious place first. A mistake, but once corrected it was a quick find. TFTC
On our tour throught the amazing New Zealand landscape we came by here. Thanks for sharing! Regards from Wolfenbüttel / Germany
Day 8 of our visit to New Zealand. Found this cache after we had tramped up Mount Sunday and back, then lunch by our bus. Not a quick find but it didn't take long. Replaced the baggie.

Discovered Edoras and the amazing landscape around it today. Before we started the track up Mount Sunday we found this Cache quickly.

We are traveling around New Zealand. We are so glad that we can discover this beautiful country. We enjoy it so much. This cache was found during our travel.
Thank you. Greetings from Czech Republic

A lovely day for a drive up the Ashburton Lakes with Karma Reprint, the car park had a few in it but a campervan hid us from them. Cheers, time for a walk up the hill.
Headed on up the valley to Mt Sunday on a Saturday. Plenty of cars, but no people made the find quick and easy. Cheers.
I was planning a wee raid to Ashvegas today, then noticed 3 new puzzles up Lake Clearwater way. A quick change of plan, and a text to Kiwi Moose checking on his keenness, and we were off, to a glorious part of the country.
Had a great day, and found plenty to keep us busy.
Thanks to the CO's for the hides. Cheers.

Ninalila and I went to Mt Sunday to enjoy the stunning sceneries where they filmed the lord of the ring.
At the same time we searched the boxes along the track.
We loved so much this place and the 360 degree view at the top.
We had to wait that people finish their lunch. They were at 5m from the box
All the boxes were easy to find.
We signed the logbook with our team name : lekiprokos
Thank you for the cache and the discovery

Came here about a month ago. But never got around to logging. Beautiful day in my backyard
Discovered Rohan today with some friends. What an amazing landscape around here. Was really cloudy today, but fits well to the scenery. Anyway we will come back on a sunny day for a hike. Thanks for placing a cache there!
After running up to Mt Potts this was the start to a nice walk to Mt Sunday. Lots of cars here but no one around. Quick find. Tftc
Meant to log this a while ago and forgot to get round to it! Quick find with Caiktin & Geomum
TFTC! (Sorry about the generic logging)

Made this find harder than it should have been. When it was found, was like, Doh, as that's usually the places I look in first! Now, off to climb a mountain!
Hmmm. As I was here when it was hidden, I thought this should be easy, but search as I maay, I could not find a log to sign
So assuming the log was missing I have placed a strip of waterproof paper where I think it should go and all should be good.
Cheers and thanks,
S.t.

Found a plastic bag and log sitting on the ground in the open near GZ but couldn't work out where was a clever place to rehide the cache. Signed the damp log and put it in an eclipse tine and placed under the stay. Completely hidden.
An awesome morning dawned. We waited for the sun to rise a bit & the frost/ice to start melting before heading out on a family adventure to the Ashburton Lakes district. A great day.
After a great day back at the lakes - inclusing walking across clearwater to the island! we decided to head up the road to here for a look. it was about 4pm but as we made a quick find and sign we decided to head along the track and see if we could hit the summit. Cool cache. Cheers.

Second attempt at this cache T4T$ Introduced some French tourist to geocaching with this cache and the on on top of Mt Sunday
Thanks to Peter Jacksons Edoras, otherwise I would probably not have visited this amazing place. TFTC
Oh, nearly gave up on this one. Tricky indeed. But there it was. Phew! TFTC Clever.
Found it during my trip from south of South Island to north of South Island.
Thanks for this cache!:)

After turning over Stones & dry cow paddy's we re-read the logs & quickly found it. Very tricky. I think we took up the last line on the small piece of paper.
We searched and searched and looked under almost every stone and branch. On our way back from another cache location we decided to look one last time and we were a little bit lucky to look from the right angle. TFT(tricky)C
Found with Dotti&bobbi Dottie found this one. Nice find, Dottie with her littler arms and hands managed to retrieve it as us blkes couldnt fir that well. tftc no onwards up wounder hill thing

I spent the night camping in the car park, sat near to this cache for most of the time, then worked it out after a couple of hours. It was just bang on the coords. Cheers
had a quick look on our way in decided to leave it for the way back because it wasn't obvious ,no wonder when my 8 year old retrieved it ,haven't come across this location before so it deserves a fav point for adding to the search parameters tftc
We are staying at Methven for the weekend. Heading up towards Mt Sunday today. Very strong winds here. Had a quick look for this cache before heading out on the walk with no luck. Had another look on the way back and spotted the spot. Sneaky. TFTC!
We had a quick look for this cache when we arrived, but without success. On our return, we spotted something not quite right, and were pretty certain we had located the hiding place, but unfortunately it was empty. We placed a new log in it, and have checked with the owner that we were correct. A favourite for this sneaky hide in an interesting location. TFTC
I searched and searched and searched for this and maybe I missed the obvious. Couldn't lay my hands on it.
A day out with Mrs Nofs. A couple of nice walks, a coffee or two and a few caches - something for everyone. Thanks.
Had a lovely day driving out here and visiting "Edoras", Mt. Sunday - what a beautiful and remote place! I wish I had more information about the film making here now almost 14 years back. So exciting!
Today KullerKeks90 and I visited Mt. Sunday. The drive to this mountain was a adventure itself. The sky was clear and so the sun burned. The wind here at the summit of Mt. Sunday was so strong, sometimes we had to crawl otherwise we maybe flew away:-) This cache we could find on our way back to the car, but the hidingplace was not so good and not really tricky...
Today shinichi and I drove with our car to Mt. Sunday. The drive was a big adventur for us and the car. It was a beautiful day, beside the strong wind at the summit of Mt. Sunday, sometimes we had to crawl The view from the top was awesome! On the way back to the car we found this strange little one. TFTC
Tricky one, but nice hide. What a great spot and what a feeling to be in "Edoras"! TFTC
TFTC SL Not too tricky but I was careful !! Lots of muggles about so had to wait a bit. Didn't matter though - as we waited, we enjoyed the views.
Hooray, our first FTF! After a while of searching, we finally found it and are really happy about it! TFTC!
