Heading home after a weekend in Christchurch. Nice quick find here in the hot hot sun!!! TFTC
A fairly quick find of the appropriately camouflaged cache, after crawling in. TFTC
Out for a work lunch at the overpriced function centre nearby. Decided to drop in on the way back to work. TFTC
Phew! Finally a find for the day. Weirdly, I've seen this container used before. It made for a nice quick ID of the cache.

I am not a particularly fast cacher when by myself, so this was my second Saturday out driving around the Selwyn District to try and gain the last of the Hidden Creatures souvenirs and complete another requirement for the MGSc challenge cache.
When I pulled up I could have almost cried myself because on the other side of the cache was a man chainsawing a pile of branches. He had all the correct safetly gear on. I sat hidden for a minute trying to decide my course of action. Hoping he was too focused on what he was doing I made a quick grab. Hiding behind the large trunk I signed the log and waited to hear the chainsaw cutting into some wood again before slipping it back. Then it was a quick retreat before moving onto the next cache.
A good cache certainly not one to make a person cry. Thanks for the smilie.

I had a bit of spare time today and as I was in the area I went out to find a few caches. I overshot the GZ and had to back up. When I looked at GZ I wished I had one or more of our grandkids with me as that would have made the retrieval easier. Anyway they are in Nelson so there was only one thing to do - kept low and made my way to sign the cache. It is always a bit tricky to time my exit from places like this to when there are no muggles passing. Thanks for placing and maintaining the cache
This was the first cach of the series we found. I am glad I was accompanied by SleeperBee whose first geocache it was .
Some great containers in this series. I kept low here and safely retrieved the cache. TFTC
No use crying over spilt milk or a cache for that matter especially when you find it. TFTC # 11,239
Another quick find on my way to the big city. I nearly cried as I poked myself in the head with a low hanging branch
Container found quickly. The log inside was missing and a note recorded the visit of smelly toes. I replaced with a couple of sheets of waterproof paper. Nice spot for a cache. Thanks to all cache owners for taking the time to place and maintain your caches. BJ25.
Have done a couple of this series previous and today another one. Love the series and the use of the container. Container had some water in it so dried it out. Logbook was damp but still signable. Tftc
We had had a couple of DNFs in the Rolleston area on our last caching raid, so this afternoon we returned to hopefully turn some into , and also to look for some more in both the Crusader and AB series.
It's been a while since we found a cache in this series so good to find a few more today. Nice container, which SW was sent in to grab as he's got the eye protection. TFTC.

Country caching free of muggles. Cache container leaks badly, full of water. Thanks and cheers from Grandalf(2485)
Had to bike passed this as muggle with mailbox out collecting mail and rubbish bins, but doubled back and found thanks
With a trip to Chch planned it was time look at which caches we would hunt down while in the area. The first thing I noticed was a cluster of puzzles that I could solve with relative ease so I set to work doing so. Although most were straight forward a few took a little more work to arrive at an agreement with the geochecker. With Canterbury being almost a clean slate for us it wasn't hard to find plenty of other caches to supplement the puzzles and we had a great day caching, 87 finds in all.The logs were signed HZ+HM, H+H, or in some cases with our full names.
Thank you to all cache owners who made this possible.
It was a combination of holidays, family visit and caching. Since our last visit lots of trails have appeared and there were many puzzles to be solved. And a lot of trads thrown in for good measure of course. We almost forgot what it's like to be cut, scraped, prodded, pricked, bruised and stabbed by the large variety of hedges you can find caches under in Canterbury. We were not deterred and it was fun to find them. Found this one and not a tear shed. Thank you BBear44
Out on a run to Ashburton with KCN for the Waitangi Day event - ended up with 17 smilies for the day.
This was another easy find - #2 for the day.
I often end up crying - some are more potent than others - if usually helps t leave the bottom of the vege on while cutting the rest. We eat ours usually in casseroles and BBQs.

Don't do these as they inevitably end up staying with me long after being eaten and other do suffer from the results. (Probably more information than needed but). Glad to be picking up more in this series. Thanks for keeping them active.
I was starting to get withdrawal symptoms from from not doing a lot of caches in a day. The previous 8 days I had only found 15 caches. A sad state of affairs. Time to remedy it.
Cheers for the cache.
Cheers for the cache.
Clue very handy on a wet morning before work when I was trying to get 3 caches for a challenge as Cup Day drinks probably mean that caching tonight might not be a good idea. Have one of these caching containers sitting on my microwave! TFTC BBear44
Dropped my daughter off at St John Cadets it was time to venture forth to score some caches. This was the 1st cache that I have found since the Mega and lso bowing down to peer pressure the 1st cache logged as Mr Cuddy brick. So on hands and knees I located the prize ..signed the log. Thanks for bringing me here to this place, TFTC BBear44, from Mr Cuddly Brick, 9 November 2015 18:39, cache number #1037!
A quick park and grab on way home from the mega in Christchurch. It has been an awesome weekend away to my first mega. TFTC ☺
Day 5 of the Awesome Mega Adventure and Guwapo, Mama and Papa have joined the DCC crew for a days caching. Salamat!
Final morning our caching with the DCC group before heading back to Dunedin. Loved driving and grabbing these ones.
The time to find a few extra caches after the NZ Mega. Found with the Dunedin Caching Crew (DCC2)
Traveling home fom Mega. Taking the long way. Day 4. CACHING with DCC 2, Dunedin caching crew. TFTC!
Found during the Mega weekend on bit of a tiki-tour around the Canterbury back blocks. Great weather, great caches, great fun! Thanks to all the cache owners for putting out and maintaining caches for us to find. All in all, a fun road trip with Boxhill and Yeetrees, we signed many of the logsheets as YGB to save both time and logsheet spaces.

In town for a “Mega” weekend of caching. I joined up with Yeetrees and gonefishing to form Team YGB. I really enjoyed exploring the country roads of Canterbury. We travelled a fair few Kilometres in the 4 days we were here, and had a great time, with a lot of laughs along the way. Good weather, and good company. It doesn’t get much better than that does it.
Sunday. Day Three, Area 3. And we're off to an area that I dubbed “South of the River” when I was planning things. A nice sunny day but with a cool breeze, the promised afternoon showers didn’t eventuate either.
Thanks to all the CO’s for all the caches we found. Cheers and TFTC

Our team for the Mega weekend was signing as VYV (Vamber, Yorkshirekiwi83 and Vistra). we found quite a few in the short space of time we were together, where I can I will make comments about the cache. We had teamed up back in Auckland and had been busy planning what we were going to target and in what order, of course plans changed even more so when we were down here, but that is part of what makes it fun and I had a great time over the weekend, thanks to all the CO's for placing.
Had an idea what we would find and we were correct, nice easy find TFTC

Tackling caches in Canterbury with vistra and yorkshirekiwi83 on a crazy numbers run for the Christchurch Mega. After some smurfin' good fun, it was time to grab some other hides with a different theme, this time, fruit and veg!
No problems here. Thanks for the hide!

Today I teamed up with yorkshirekiwi83 and vamber to hit a couple of the cache trails around Christchurch and find a few other caches along the way. We signed the logs as "VYV" to save time and space on the log. After working on the Smurfs series we toured some of the back roads picking up a few more caches before heading back to the Mega event. TFTC!

A straight drive in the cold sun shine to try take our find totals into double figures. Thanks.
Caching with Sidewaze. Combining catching up with family, friends, and an event with a few caches. TFTC
Cry y y y ing over you. I don't know any more of the words so will have to stop there. Good song though. TFTC .
A quick find on my way back to Christchurch via the back road. I like the containers used in the series. TFTC
Fortunately no tears over signing this one. Thanks for bringing me to this lovely area, TFTC BBear44, #7976
Back down this way for a work related conference for the rest of the week, but only have the opportunity for a vehicle for a single evening before having to return it to my cousin for work tomorrow. So while here, and not wanting to miss out on the fun that is "The Cache" I worked out that I could collect a few this evening.
Heading out of town in an unfamiliar vehicle it was a bit nerve racking (no good returning a dented vehicle) but managed to make a collect in the area that I was targeting and still managed to return the car at a reasonable hour.
This was the twelfth of the evening and with all the cars rushing past on their way from home extra care was required to show that not all the time I drive like a cacher
thanks for the placement

Found on an outing with AAMOFIDOTR. Knew what we were looking for here but still took awhile as it was well hidden. TN, left a pathtag. TFTC.
Working in the Area with my good friend Geco72 so thought it was time to grab a few caches. TFTC
An hour to "waste" after work finished, before a work dinner so Mr Casserly used it productively to grab a few more caches in the area...A quick search and soon found the appropriate container for the name. TFTC
Out caching with Mr 2wombles in Wert Melton area. A straightforward find. Thanks for the cache.
