Have replaced this cache at least twice. Sadly, it keeps disappearing.
Thanks to those that tried to find it but couldn't - My apologies.
Cheers OldSaint.

Like others we spotted where this had been hidden.

Sadly this appears to be gone. There a cable ties in a tree at GZ at the suggested height, but no tin. Sad

Pretty sure this isn't here now. As reported in Brokelux's log there is evidence of where it was (especially if it is similar to #2 and #3), but it is there no more.

Hello old saint I checked on all of the series today on the way home all were in place still with the exception of this one.I have never found it sense it had been replaced but i did find some cable ties in the tree where i believe it should of been!

Our daughter 'bolted' out of the car and raced to find the cache - I think she might be hooked - we'll have to wait and see. So, 1 for the father and 2 for the daughter. Headed into Huonville for lunch. We all really enjoyed the series so thanks OldSaint.

Great views!

Ah - now I read the logs, I see why the log sheet was blank.
The view would have been great were it not for the rain clouds on the Snowy Range.
My summing up of the road - depressing.
20k or thereabouts of devastation.
I guess if it wasn't for the logging, there wouldn't be a road, but it's still sad.
Thanks for the cache.

Thanks to Brokelux for letting me know that this cache had gone.
Checked on it today and it was indeed buried under the new work
Have replaced it at head height at S42 57.869; E146 51.710 - an eclipse tin
Cheers OldSaint.

Incredibly late logging of cache, thought it was done previously. Thoroughly excellent day with Swampy , redtag and various other family members, thanks for the series Oldsaint

Lucky Last and just in the nick of time before it went missing by the look of the latest logs.
What a tremendous view.
We pelted rocks over the edge for some childish entertainment before heading to Judbury for a cuppa and more of VK7HCH other halfs yummy jelly cakes.

Thanks OldSaint for the fun series and thanks TeamSwampy, VK7HCH & Team Tweeti for the invite to tag along Big Grin

Having done Jefferies Track with VK7HCH & Team Tweeti, red tag and the boys being driven by Hanger-on'er and my 4WD, we picked up that cache and stopped at Lachlan for a BBQ lunch.
Having not found my GPSr at lunch, I checked TomTom and found I hadn't updated it with this series, so between red tag giving instruction over the radio and my iPad running geosphere, I was able to lead the merry crew into the breach to find these caches.
We did them in reverse order, so the hint at one didn't help too much as we hadn't found the previous one.
This cache was found by me after looking for the obvious... I was surprised 2y's hadn't done this one...
An interesting drive through here - I'll remember this then I need to get from one valley to the other....
Thanks OldSaint!

Well, I think it is a road that is there? Loved this series that joined to two valleys of love together - the Huon Valley and the Derwent Valley. This cache had great views, and was a easy find compared to the others.

Thanks for bringing me to this road I have never travelled. Great View. TFTC

Last one of the series found on the trip from base at New Norfolk to Huonville. Thankyou Old Saint for showing us this road.

Thanks Oldsaint, nice series, nice road, nice places.

Notice came up that there was a new cache in the area, being a miserable day decided to go for a look as its only about 15ks from home, and what do you know it started to pour as i pulled up beside the burnt out car, waited a couple of minutes, and the sun was out, and so was the log for a FTF.
Was going to drop off a bug that we brought back from our Mainland trip, but wouldn't fit in the tin.
Thanks for the cache.
Found 2.17pm.

I travel this road often in my work ute on the way home from the houn valley. For the record Geevston to New Norfolk can be comftably achieved in 1 hour. The link road its- self 20 minutes and that's with out driving like a madman. Usually I air the tyres down in my work ute to prevent punctures but I am carrying approx. 1.5 tonne of tools on the poor old 2wd hilux. But when the road is in bad shape it is VERY harsh on tyres. This was our third find in the series I had inputted the cords into the gps incorrectly putting us out by 60 meters. Muggles friend showed me up, with his persistant nagging about the pile of rocks near the burnt car. But no I wouldn't listen. Half an hour later muggles comes back with a grin from ear to ear. DOH Well that's embarrassing. Anouther find to brokelux and muggles.

If you do have a uhf be sure to be on channel 39 listening out for log trucks and be aware its a priority truck route. Because it has been used responsibly for some time and has been harder for people to find, the boom gates have remained unlocked for some 10 years now. Please give way to the trucks so they don't close the gates again.
